They stole $500.00 from me promising leads for homeowners insurance . They promised quality leads with prospects that are purchasing a mortgage with 1st Century Mortgage, were in need of homeowners insurance and would be expecting my call. As soon as my office starting making calls from the list they provided, I knew this was a scam.

Every person that we were able to get ahold of, said they were not doing business with 1st Century Mortgage. They weren't even applying for a mortgage or refinancing their mortgage with any mortgage company. They became concerned and/or upset. I appologized for the call.

When I called 1st Century to ask for a refund, I was told that the girl who processes refunds wasn't available. I was transferred to her voice mail. When I didn't receive a call back the next day, I asked to speak to a manager. Of course, the manager was never available. From this point on, every time I called I was told that someone would call me back. Of course, they never did. The person who originally called us to sell us the leads is Andy Charles x4406. Richard Pierce VP x4413 is the person I actually purchased them from. He was very convincing that these leads were good.

The Red Flag that I should have heeded was they don't except credit cards for payment. As with a credit card, their clients would have recourse!!!

When I was sceptical about not being able to use a credit card, he gave me the name and phone number of someone in CA as a reference. When I called the number, she said she had some success with the leads. So, I bought the leads...Hook, line and sinker!

You can dispute the item that posted to your checking account, you just need to visit the branch or call their customer service number and tell them the item is unauthorized. They debit your account with an item called a Remotely Created Check and you have 3 years to dispute this item because it does not have you signature on it. Please go to your bank and dispute this charge to get your money back.
