Denny, on the abc6 broadcast, Castaway told them that they have about 100 happy current customers... who are they??? there are about 25 listed on this web site who are NOT very HAPPY! Even with Johns face plastered all over the tri state area, you know his MUG shot, he (they) still have the nerve to continue to sell pools in this area. I cannot for the life of me figure this out.
This pool almost tore apart our marriage of over 29 years, does that mean anything to you, every night, was a big argument, because I wanted to go with the little "MOM & POP" shop pool dealer and not the big wigs! You know, we would get more one on one service, come out and fix any problems, blah, blah, blah. Now it all seems like a Charlie Brown movie, when his teacher would talk to him. Why were there so many different deposit amounts?
Ours was $5000, we contracted in Feb 24th, the pool was put in Mar 26, only to find out that there were NO PERMITS! They didn't show up until April 25th and that was paid to with a bounced check. None of this was made known to us, until, WE called for the final inspections, in July... then all hell broke loose. Castaway did NOTHING to help! Our pool was closed as an unsafe structure but we still had to pay the $500 a month payment on the pool! Papers were filed with the township and they too were ignored, no one including Kalai, gave a damn about anything. The BBB filed a letter, that too was ignored. You were there when all this was taken place. You could have stepped up to the plate. Both you and Dave were at my home. You looked at the three colors of dirt in the bottom of the pool, and said, I have no idea what that is. Well, after all these months, prior to US, not YOU closing our pool, we found out that is was ALGEA, black and mustard. The sand in the bottom of the pool was from a leak in the return lines. We had the test done at our cost, and it is on the deep end. When the filter is turned off, it causes a vacuum and sucks the dirt into the lines, when you start the filter up, the dirt shoots into the pool. It had nothing to do with the filter. We also, had the filter checked out at our cost and everything was replaced. John and Dave both knew this and nothing was done.
I have countless nights of not sleeping, arguing with the family over this stupid pool, but you and your crownies slept, ate and rode around in new trucks to scam other people. I am sure that you were well aware of any problems in the company. |
