Never came back to finish the job!

Castaway Pools and Spas installed a pool at my home on 4/5/07. They have never came back to finish the job despite numerous phone calls and letters sent to their office. Their salesman john refuses to answer any phone calls. I would advise anyone in the tristate area to be aware of this company. If this company is hired to install a pool at your home read the contract and beware that the are not responsible for any damage to your home or property. Do not under any circumstances make a payment until they are completely done. They seem friendly but are that lie and deceive the public.

GOODBYE and GOOD RIDDANCE for now Jon Lacomp Sr.
John Dalrymple Jr., Teresa Masker and Lacomp Sr. are the only people I ever spoke to at Castaway. You are the ones who signed my contract, permits and applications. Called my home, cell, left messages, screamed, cursed, hung up on me, lied and decieved.
Yes, We know you think of yourself as so much smarter and superior (ONESMARTGUY) and we are pathetic, ignorant assholes.
We are idiots who, own our homes, cars, have wonderful families, friends, go on vacations, pay our bills AND have REAL jobs.
No matter what you have done to me and others, I will continue to live in my perfect little world!

Don't let 'em phase you. They know it's gettin' down to the wire so they're lashing out. For some time they have been on top of the world b/c they made some easy money, but they are acutely aware that the law is one step behind them. When it finally happens and justice has been served (WHEN, NOT IF) we will see who is pathetic and ignorant. Unfortunately the judicial system is not without flaws, but eventually justice will prevail. And b/c of how long it has taken, it will just be that much sweeter. Hang in there, Mg!

I must say I have never purchased a pool. I can only imagine what you all have gone through, but have you ever seen the movie "Fun with Dick and Jane"??? Dick is very similiar to Dencil and Jane is Leslie. They are both thieves. She can't wait to spend the money he makes. I'm sorry if your pools don't pass inspection, but Dencils and Leslies does. Come to WV and swim in theirs, I'm sure they won't mind. I am almost positive ONESMARTGUY is Leslie herself, how else would ONESMARTGUY have known about oasis pools? Dencil has known John Jr. for years, he knew exactly what kind of guy he was getting into business with. How could he not have? The fact that he kept working there says so much about his character. In Christianity, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS! So ONESMARTGUY, is there anything else you have to say? You sure do know a lot about things. Its funny you say you know alot about this salesman and then later you say you don't know any of the people involved, sucks when you have to back track in your lies. Once you tell so many you can't even keep the truth straight. It's just terrible, ONESMARTGUY isn't very smart at all. I wouldn't mind being a part of your private email list, just for personal interest. Hope everything goes your way in the end.

Well, well, well, well, well. Looks like I lit a fire under someones shorts. No - I am not Leslie. I've tried to tell you but you just won't listen. Maybe I should have used a different handle. This one seems to make people hot under the collar. I should have taken that into consideration . How do I know about Oasis Pools ?
Well, let's see. I was looking to buy a pool for myself back when they were going by that name and after doing some research on them I decided to steer clear of them. This is how I came to know so much about the dalrymples. If you check around and if you talk to enough people you find out wether you want to do business with someone or not. I have been nothing but honest since I stuck my nose in this. I have to admit- I feel a little bad for the people who are getting blamed for my thoughts. And I guess to tell the truth I said some things that seemed kind of harsh to the rest of you . I just have a hard time understanding how someone can hand theire hard earned money over to someone without do diligence of seeking out enough information on them to where you know- you know -wether that company or person is going to do right by you. And I know you all think you did that. I would like to apologize to all of you for the things I said that upset you so much. It probably doesn't mean much to you now but I wanted to say it anyhow Your right I do know alot about things . I'm not trying to be a smart allec . I never once said I knew any of these people. I said I knew who the (johns) are (by reputation)- I never had any actual dealings with them - Nothing I've said has been lies. I also apologize to the guy I called a moron earlierbut I did go back through the posts and find that name.
Mary you seem to me like you have a personal vendetta with these two indivduals - I'm going by the way you worded things. you are a family member maybe ? I know this isn't the place for this but let me ask you a question-Do YOUR actions speak louder than your words ? I hardly think this is the place for you to air your dirty laundry. If you have a personal dispute with these two I think it best that you hammer it out between you and them alone. Food for thought - when you set out to ruin one persons reputation - in the process do you also unjustly ruin the reputation of the rest of they're family? Does the rest of they're family deserve to be run through the muck ? Just because there is one or two bad apples fallen from the tree - doesn't make the rest of them bad apples as well. If this is the case and I'm not saying that it is- because I don't know. I'm just guessing, but if it is this certainly doesn't say much about your character. And that's all I have to say. I know I said i was not coming back here but I wanted to apologize to all of you. Once again I most certainly am not Leslie.

Last week i spoke to wille kalie's laywer about about his clients situation in regards to his relationship with the johns and castaway pools.Today i received a letter that spelled out just what it is . August 31 of 2007 wille shut down castaway pools and spas. He also fired john in late august as well . Let be known john never owned any of that company he was a salesman with a weekly paycheck of 1000.00 a week.After August of 2007 john and his father continued to sell pools under the trade name castaway pools and spas owned by wille kalie. In December of 2007 john sr STOLE a cash deposit of 5000.00 dollars from Jim and Nancy Qu******.Their was a receipt signed by sr that i have a copy of if anyone would like to see it.That is one person who has you running john how many more are there ?Keep going john you are digging deeper and deeper.IF anyone would like any of this info that i have just received email me .I will fax all docs forward that i have.I also have another GEM of a letter similar to the threat john sr sent out two weeks ago .It is a motion john sr sent to PA. years back about john jrs civil rights being violated.He was extradited to pa and they would not set bail for his little boy.Anyone with a signed contract after august 31 2007 please contact JOHN CALZARETTO ESQ 856 667 1477 asap he may be able to give you some insight . We will not stop john until you are in jail even if I have to work with WILLE to get info about you. All of the southern new jersey prosecuters know about you .They all have been sent the same letter i have received.

Hello all! I haven't posted in awhile but I finally have some good news.I also was contacted by Will Kalai's lawyer on Friday.I called back on Monday and spoke with him.He stated he was looking into returning deposits on behalf of Castaway pools.
I told him I had a court date on 08/05 in my town against Kalai for Theft by Deception and he stated he (Kalai) would be there.I told him all Kalai had to do was show up with my deposit in the form of certified check or money order and I would speak with prosecutor and we could settle the case.I showed up and it was looking like Kalai was going to be a no show but low and behold there he was accompanied by a rather large dude.
Prosecutor called him out and spoke with him and I was advised that Kalai had four one thousand dollar money orders.We signed settlement papers and went before the judge and was handed the $4000 in money orders by Kalai.I went right across the street to the post office and cashed the money orders.
Finally after 15 months of thinking I was never going to see that cash it worked out.I would like to thank all of you on the site for the information provided and the support .I hope it works out for everyone and all of your deposits are refunded and your pools are fixed.It looks like Mr. Kalai is trying to make good.Keep the pressure on and don't give up! I will continue to monitor the site hoping to see everyone satisfied .Good luck, God Bless!

Here is an analogy. A bully is stealing from 5 kids on a school bus route. There are a total of 30 on the bus. You attack others on the bus, some involved others not, for their views. You tell the story over the open internet i.e. bus, and you only want to hear comments that sound good to you? The best opinions and advice come from victims? And now you don't like the manner of solutions that some have come up with? This is what you would teach your children? So are you saying I should have said "No thanks, keep the money until all the other pools are fixed". Honestly, would you or anyone else here have done that? I don't think so, my case wasn't going to solve everyones problems .
What if he came over to your house and repaired your pool before I got my deposit back.Would you have said don't fix my pool until you give everyone back their deposits and repair their pools first? I thought the point was to try and get our money back or money for repairs to pools already started .Each of our situations were different and took place in two states so each would have been settled at different times anyway .If I didn't accept the money and it went to trial I guarantee he would not have done jail time, the case was being heard in municipal court.
The pools that were started are civil cases along with the criminal side due to the fraud involved .I was told I would not be entitled to any settlement money from the Consumers Affairs case because I already filed the civil case in Cumberland County.With everyone else who already filed civil cases if he filed for bankruptcy I might not have ever received anything.
This was my only choice to ever see the money again.As nice as it would have been for him to sit in jail until all is resolved, my case going to trial was not going to make that happen anyway.As far as the good peolpe that have messed up pools bad concrete etc. they will also have their day in court like I did and when faced with a decision they will choose the one best for their families.Hope it works out for you and every other one of the good people on this site but I'm not feeling guilty for looking out for my family and using common sense.

No, You did the right thing. But criminal and civil are different. I think you had extra leverage and at the very least should have had a year's interest tacked on. These guys f'd all of us, need more justice than just to say I'll pay these few to stay out of jail and F the rest.

Please clearly explain WHY the system was out of control with no checks and balances working. You state that you can clearly explain it, we are long overdue for your explanation. You would like us to believe that your son is a victim like the rest of us? Give us something to sink our teeth into. As for Channel 6 news, why don't you contact them for an interview to clear your son's name? I am certain they would be more than happy to do a follow up story. If what you say is true, what have you done about it other than attack Mr. Wynn who was clearly a victim of Castaway, along with so many others? Not just the numerous families with broken dreams and bank accounts that simply gave a sizable deposit...and then...poof! their $ and their dreams disappeared, but the numerous families with a destruction, yes
destruction instead of pool construction in their backyards. Please explain to us how all of this really came to pass. We would all really like to know. You make inferences, but without names and proof, all we know is who owned the company and who sold us the bill of goods. Switch sides of the fence for a second. You are now one of us who either simply lost a large sum of $ such as $3500.00, $4000.00, $5000.00, $5500.00, etc. and have nothing to show for it except a signed contract with a supposed "family owned business". Or perhaps you are Mr. Wynn or Mr. Langella, or the numerous other families that were left with an abortion in their back yard, rather than the beautifully finished, fully operational pool they were promised. Please, give us the full story that you claim you are withholding, so that we can charge the appropriate parties who are responsible for our losses.
