Joe,
Unless you had dealings with these people, you need to keep your comments to yourself.
We were all pulled in by these people. No we were not drawn in by good looks or a great price, they were in the same price range as others. We thought that being a small "Mom & Pop" shop, we would get better service. WRONG!!!
We ALL did our homework, checking references, BBB and Internet google-castaway pools, NOTHING showed up! We were let down by the system!
After our pool was dropped in March 07, that is when the BS began. Every week I would check, someone has to have had a problem, we could not have been the only one. Even in July, when I came across this complaints board, the BBB report still was not updated. It was not updated until late September, when there were now 26 complaints against them. So who is wrong?
I have been reading your posts, they were/are cruel and unjust. Owning a pool was/is all of our dreams only to have been turned into a nightmare.
After a year of complaining about a leak in our return lines, I went down to the store on Saturday, June 14th, only to be SCREAMED AND YELLED at by John Sr., stating the they had nothing to do with our pool, it was all Kalai. I said your son took the money and that was the end of that. He also said that he was never at our home, I refreshed his memory... how HE brought people over to see the pool, after it was dropped. I told the people what a great job the guys did and I would recommend them. Two days later, it was a month of calling for them, before they set foot on our property again. And it was down hill from there.
All I wanted him to do was look at the pictures of our pool, since they would not come out to our home (which is less than 10 minutes away!). He went ballistic on me. But, to his surprise, my calm and mild manner, FLIPPED right back. Then he complained about how his son's rep was ruined by this web site, how he was arrested and jail unjust, how he is going to sue everyone, Blah Blah Blah...He finally said let me see your pictures. He looked at them and said I owe you an apology, WHAT, did I hear right???
He said that he would be over one day during the week. After returning home, he showed up at our home to check out the pool. I thought I was dreaming and maybe he was going to help. He blocked off the skimmer and said he would return on Sunday and through out the week. Guess what, that was the last time he set foot on our property, almost FIVE weeks ago.
Now, can you tell me, these people are true to what they preach?? Can you tell me/us that 39 maybe more, were not scammed?
