I got charged for a monthly fee too, when I was just checking my score. I call the number from freecreditreport.com and in less than 5 min. I received an e-mail confirmation stating that it was cancelled and that I could still check my credit for the remainder of the month. Not sure I should do that, I'm afraid they might "extend" me.

It's so funny the previous person posted about WLI ReservartionRewards. Today I realized I was about to receive charges from both Reservation Rewards and Free credit Report.com. Called both and heres how it went down:

Reservation Rewards @ 1-800-732-7031, was quick and painless said I wanted to cancel and the woman stopped the draft besides told me to log in and print out all my coupons before the "actual" cancellation in 4 days and still have some savings... works for me!!!

Free Credit Report.com @ 1-877-481-6826 Painful just as everyone has said they attempt to keep you in the membership by offering discounts and talking your ear off but stay firm. They are going to charge you and as others have noted suck it up it was in the terms and conditions of service.

Good Luck to All.

I am with accord with everyone on here, I to have been paying for the scam. I looked once and didn't get the full information i was looking for. I did call the number listed above and they told me I had to submit my cancellation in writing. I will try to call again and of course I sent it in writing but nothing came of it. What is our nation coming to. It's all very very sad. Thanks for all the info.

CIC*CE Credit Report is an extension of freecreditreport.com. Here are the numbers:

1-877-481-6825 or
1-877-481-6826

I too am in the process of trying to get this resolved. I gave my credit card info so I could see my "free" credit report. All I wanted to do was see the report, not be billed for it. It's printed on the the website that while you have the 30 day trial you WILL NOT be charged the monthly fee unless you decide to keep it after the trial ends. They charged my account $1.00 as a "preauthorization fee". I never gave consent for a "pre authorization fee". I called them up and demanded the "membership" get canceled or I would take legal action, report them to the BBB, and so on. The woman insisted I stay with them and offered discounts. I repeatedly said no. I told them if there were anymore charges on my account, I would be very angry. I received the e-mail confirmation for canceling the membership, and intend to keep it in case something else happens.

My question is how in the hell did they even charge my account.. I have never been to any credit sites.. I work 24/7 I barely have time to check my mail. I've never even heard of this stuff until i noticed a funky charge on my account.. the charge says it was made on the 17th... and it was the 15th when i checked my account.. tell me if that makes any sense.. also considering I NEVER use any credit card or bank account information on a computer.

I am morally outraged by this "freecredit report" bull. I am only 21 years old and when i was only 19 i had my wallet stolen and became a victim of identity theft. I had over 1500 dollars in total stolen from me over the years and i went to free credit report.com to get my one free trial to see how badly my credit had been affected, under the impression that i wouldn't be charged a monthly fee considering i wasn't going to use the site again. I called the number provided, just incase, to cancel anything that i may have aggreed to. Thinking i was all set i went on my way. almost two years later here i am. I just went online to pay my bills and saw a funny number 12.95 for a CIC credit charge. having no idea what it was i did a little google search and found out that i am not the only one this has happened to. I feel violated and taken advantage of. I had allready been a victim of fraud and here i go again two years later. I have no idea how to deal with this, i called the company, they told me that i had no account and then hung up on me, then tell me if i have no account how did i get charged for the last two years.

Can anyone help??

Got charged for 14.95 what is this??
152 days ago by I Cant Believe They Have [send email]
Yes, they are a bunch of scammers and I can't believe they are still around as a business or that they are putting out commercials now.

Anyways, the quickest way to get a refund is to follow exactly what Dave posted below. After speaking with the representative (which you will get upon being put on hold for ten minutes) ask for the supervisor. After you demand that you speak to the supervisor and give your reasons, they will come back and say the charges have been refunded. You just have to be fierce, which shouldn't be too hard considering what a bunch of motherf*&%^ scammers they are!

Good luck! Warn all your friends not to sign up too!

What you all need to do is dispute it and have your credit card company to look into it, that's what I just did. See, if all of you dispute it then this will start an eye opener to this fraudulent credit report business.

This is a SCAM don't visit the web site they charge regarless. They charged once I read everything carefully and edited my Information. Like apprx. 3 months later i see a charge for $14.95.I only visited the site 1 time and now they keep charging.

You need to call your card company and write a dispute letter , call CIC at 1800- 388-8725.

Make sure when you delete the info. they CIC send you a cancellation statement.

Has anyone had any other more serious problems from this? Credit Cards being opened in your name or anything like that? I just cancelled my credit card and my bank is looking into getting me a refund but i did it several months ago and i can't remember what other info they asked for if they got an SS# or something and would be able to do much more damage, though it doesn't seem like that's their MO it's still possible so i'm curious if anyone has had anything worse come of this. Thanks

I have been charged over the past several months $12.oo for a service that I have never used or asked for. I may have initially gone to the website to see what is was all about but I did not buy into it, either. They just started to charge me this monthly fee for no reason. I am furious! When I called them to cancel my account, they kept asking me for my SS# and bank card account number. I really did not want to give it to them but they said that they could not pull up my account without this information. Did anyone else run into this problem?
105 days ago by James Byerly [send email]
i pulled this off of the expirian website so if anyone out there wants to know how to cancel there account before the trial period ends if if you want to cancel it now then this is the best way. i called the number and told them that i want it canceled and if i was charged i was going to persue legal action. they were quick to cancel it. lol anyway good luck to you all.

Which credit reporting company's free statutory annual credit file disclosure do I receive?

You are entitled to receive your free statutory annual credit file disclosure from each of the three national credit reporting companies: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. Remember, your request must be placed through the Central Source.

After someone got their hands on my debit card I wanted a credit report to make sure that nothing else had been tampered with. Each company is supposed to provide one free report per year. After I had entered all of my information I was told that I had already received one for the year and did not qualify. After that I was essentially dismissed from the site.

Now I have pending charges from them for 14.95. I called and they said they could cancel a membership that I did not sign up for but that the charges were irreversable. Nothing is irreversable if you demand a manager. What was more was the girl I spoke with actually requested my credit card number right then. When I demanded to speak to a manager the charges suddenly became quite reversable. It will supposedly take 7 to 10 business days and if it takes an hour longer I have names and a reference number to provide to my bank so that they may take a shot at solving this.

Mine happened when I went through the Free Credit Report Cite and attempted to obtain a report through Experian. Be very Wary of anything that requests a Credit Card.

I realized that my bank account was charged 14.95 becacuse of a trial period of 7 days... I was informed it was 30 days and I never even got my report!!! Ridiculous. When I called I spoke to teh rep and all she asked was " so you want me to cancel? " She was so rude and didn't care to listen, like it is routine to them. Also she said that in their system it says I viewed my report. i insited to her that I didn't and she said I lied! Unbelievable. I hate that such a company has my money!
