What a nightmare it was dealing with this company! Please do your research people, because this company is not worth the hassle! I placed an order for a whole new outfit of DJ equipment. This included the speakers, speaker stands, speaker bags, 2 cd players, mixer, amp, wireless mic, cords, and coffin. You name it, I bought it. What a mistake! One of the cd players was DOA and I had to send it to the manufacturer for repairs as soon as I got it. The headsets that were suppose to be free with the purchase of the cd players never came. The speaker bags didn't fit the speakers and had to be returned at my expense. The speakers never were in stock and they finally agreed to contact the manufacturer and have them sent to me from there. It was one problem after another and the customer service is the worst! Either they put you on hold and never pick up again or just feed you what you want to hear but never follow thru. I received numerous promises of how they were going to send me this or send me that and fix the problem, but nothing ever materialized. Emails never get answered. You think you're getting a good deal because of the prices and free shipping, but believe me when I say, go to another site because you won't be happy in the end!

BEWARE OF 123DJ.COM...I cancelled an order because the shipping to Florence, S.C. was $225 or more and I found an alternative option that was only $70 shipping from a location even further away. 3 days before it was shipped I called by phone. The person on the phone was rude and said if he couldn't stop the order thru the warehouse (implying it was at another location) When it arrives just sign refussed and return it. I told him it was the shipping price I had a problem with and he said O.K. and repeated "sir, just refuse it". So I said, "what about the shipping charges? Then the idiot said, "you'll have to pay for that!" Then I said, "well why don't you just stop the order?"...let's shorten this by saying it was clear he was trained to force the shipping charge on me because later I contacted Jay at the shipping company (a third party) and was told that was extremely high what I was being charged...obviously they were making a profit from the shipping!...This made me upset. I had a sence the guy on the phone was intentionally going to make sure my order was not stopped in time...So then I followed up immediately by email and repeated for them to stop the order. ...Then I called 3 days later and Neil (said he was the manager) said it was shipped at 2pm and appologized and acknowledged it was their error and there was plenty of time and opportunity to stop the order. Neil said he wanted to find out who was working Friday evening because the warehouse (that turned out to be DOWNSTAIRS), was never notified...the email was never read (so Neil told me)...Let's shorten this again...Neil lead me on that he would talk to the owner about a goodwill gesture in the form of a store credit...let's shorten this even more...Neil never even called me again and one guy even hung up on me when I called and said Neil was working on a goodwill gesture for an error that occured...these people are shady in my dealings with them...and to top it all off a power conditioner that I got in the order worked for 30 minutes...no company is perfect but if they lie and conspire against their customers you need to beware!!!...I went on to spend several thousand dollars thru 2 other online companies and they could have made much more than they ripped me off for because if they would have been decent about it, I would have ordered differently around their shipping terms to make it work for me but the quick profit is obviously more important...I hope Neil chokes on his shipping profit and shady tactics...and if he truely did speak to the owner and he was a party of the stall and B.S. they put me thru I hope it shows on there end of the year bottom line year after year...I'll spread the word in my area along with all my band members...If you feel the same...copy and paste and add your experiance...DON'T TRUST 123DJ.COM

My fellow DJ friend ordered 2 strobes from them. One arrived in perfect condition; the other arrived broken. He strongly feels that it was broken before shipment. He talked to UPS and UPS sent the company money (even though they weren't sure if it was broken during shipment) to replace the broken strobe. (That' means the company was paid twice for that extra strobe...first by my DJ friend and second by UPS). Anyway, they never shipped the 2nd strobe. They gave run-arounds on the phone and emails. They made empty promises and never followed through with the product.

WE ALL AGREE THAT 123DJ HAVE AFFORDABLE PRICES, BUT IT'S NOT WORTH THE HEADACHES. RECENTLY I ORDERED A AM AND SUBWOOFER SPEAKER. THEY SENT THE WRONG COLOR AMP WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME. I CALLED AND INFORMED THE SHIPPING MANAGER NEIL, THAT I RECIEVED THE WRONG COLOR AMP AND WANTED THE COLOR I ORDERED. NEIL INFORMED ME THAT THE AMP I INITIALLY ORDERED WAS ON BACK ORDERED, BUT HE WOULD SHIP THE RIGHT AMP TO ME WHEN IT ARRIVED IN THEIR WAREHOUSE. ON 1/4/10 I FOLLOWED UP WITH NEIL REGARDING THAT THE STATUS OF THE AMP. I WAS TOLD THAT THE AMP WAS NOT IN AS OF YET. ON 1/6/10 I WAS TOLD THAT THE AMP WAS IN AND THAT HE PLACED A SPECIAL ORDER TO HAVE THE AMP SHIPPED VIA UPS TO MY HOME. ON 1/8/10 I CALLED TO INFORM NEIL THAT I HAVE NOT RECIEVED A CONFIRMATION NUMBER OR SHIPPING NUMBER, BUT INSTEAD I GOT ELI IN THE RETURN DEPT. ELI INFORMED ME THAT THE AMP I REQUESTED IS NOT IN STOCK, AND 123DJ POLICY IS NOT TO SHIP OUT MERCHANDISE UNTIL CUSTOMER RETURNS UNWANTED MERCHANDISE. ELI INFORMED ME THAT THERE IS NO SPECIAL ORDER IN THE SYSTEM. ELI INFORMED ME THAT HE WOULD SEND ME RETURN POSTAL MATERIAL TO RETURN THE WRONG AMP AND THEY WOULD SHIP OUT THE CORRECT AMP UPON RECIEPT OF THE WRONG AMP. ELI ASKED ME SEVERAL TIMES IF I WANTED TO KEEP THE WRONG AMP. I STATED NO SEVERAL TIMES.

I THAN CALLED TO SPEAK WITH A CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER, GUESS WHO I GOT NEIL. WHEN I INQUIRIED ABOUT THE CORRECT AMP, NEIL STATED THE AMP WAS NOT IN STOCK. I REMINDED NEIL OF OUR PREVIOUS CONVERSATION( NEIL STATED AMP WAS AVAILABLE). I INFORMED NEIL THAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HONEST ABOUT THE AVAILABILITY OF THE AMP. I INFORMED NEIL THAT THE SITUATION IS BECOMING FRUSTRATING BECAUSE HE WAS NOT HONEST. I INFORMED NEIL THAT I HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY AT 123DJ AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS A VALUABLE CUSTOMER. I INFORMED NEIL THAT I WOULD BE INFORMING OTHER DJS ABOUT 123DJ'S ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR TOWARD THEIR CUSTOMERS. NEIL BECAME UPSET AND USED PROFANITY TOWARD ME. I EXPLAIN TO NEIL THAT I SHOULD BE THE ONE UPSET NOT HIM. NEIL PLACED ME ON HOLD AND AFTER A MINUTE OR SO HE TOLD HE WOULD CALL ME BACK. NEIL DID CALL ME BACK AND ASKED ME IF I WANTED A DIFFERENT AMP( UPGRADE) HE WOULD SEND IT OUT IMMEDIATELY WITH NO EXTRA CHARGE. I ALSO HAD TO REMIND NEIL ABOUT THE FREE HEADPHONES THAT WAS DUE ME FROM A PREVIOUS ORDER.

I'M NOT GOING TO HOLD MY BREATH, FOR I KNOW I WILL NEVER SEE THE CORRECT AMP OR THOSE FREE HEADPHONES. TAKING THE HIGH ROAD: AT LEAST THE AMP THEY SENT ME WORKS, BUT I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM 123DJ AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT.

TO 123DJ THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF DJS OUT THERE AND COMMUNICATION WITHIN THIS GROUP IS HEALTHY SO I LONG HAS U CONTINUE TO OPERATE THIS WAY AND TREAT CUSTOMERS THIS WAY WORD WILL GET OUT.

I have to agree with all the above statements, and think it would be the best interest of 123 dj to take note. I ordered 2 Denon dns3500's and one dnx1500s mixer, and headphones as the free ones are garbage. I also ordered 1 flight case for the entire set. I was first told there was no shipping charges, then later charged for shipping. I also received my confirmation number for all the equipment. When UPS came to my door they only had 2 boxes, this seemed unreasonable considering what I'd ordered. My wife used to work for Staples where they received and sent out UPS, and sometimes shipments end up on 2 trucks depending on how full they are, so we were hopeful this was the case. When 8pm came around, she phoned UPS who told her all shipments for the day were complete. By this time 123 dj was closed, so we had to wait till the next day to find out what happened to the rest of the order. The first guy she spoke to said the mixer and flight case were out of stock. However no one sent any confirmation of this. I should point out that every individual we spoke to had no personality and were abnoxiously and rudely arrogant. They said we would receive the mixer the following day, and 7 days for the case. A few days later the mixer came in. Everything was working great. After 7 days the flight case still hadn't arrived, so we contacted the company again. It was still on back order. After going in circles with the sales guy who was an ignorant jackass. I spoke to Neil.. the supposed manager, who wasn't anymore help than the first guy. 3 week story short.. the case was still on back order even after Neil continued to say it was on it's way. Finally he said he had one and was sending it out express. We still got it 7 days later.. not so much express... and upon opening the shipment, the item was incredibly beat up, scratched, chipped, and didn't close evenly, as if those weren't enough.. it was the wrong size. After all the conversations verbal and electronic we had, he still sent the wrong size. We sent it back, argued.. waited 30 days for him to START the return process, and another few weeks to get our money back. About that time is when the mixer started going. I called him, but as they HAD a 7 day return policy.. (really.. how do you thoroughly test something in just 7 days?) they refused to do anything about it, and said I had to contact Denon, and he would send out a temporary mixer to us that we could keep; which we NEVER received. So I contacted Denon who agreed to look at it as it was still under warranty (30 days later, it better be). However they stood firm that there was nothing wrong with them. The effects processor had gone and apparently had already been that way when I'd received it, it just took some usage for the problem to appear. After about 2 weeks of testing, and arguing that they can't find anything wrong, we threaten them with the better business bureau and lemon laws and they send out a brand new one. 1 month and 3 weeks after purchasing them new, I'd already had the mixer replaced! So now everything is working fine, conveniently 11 months after my purchase, my 3500's started to go. I couldn't cue up anything, and the pitch was way off. I spoke to Denon again, they agreed to look at them as it was still under warranty.. let me first add this in, each time I had to send my equipment out, I had to pay for shipping-not much of a warranty. Once again they stood firm that there was nothing wrong.. apparently had been testing them straight for a week and found nothing. So my wife, who's never used any such equipment a day in her life, told them what was wrong and told them what needed to be done or replaced. She asked if they were hooked to speakers so they could hear the difference in the pitch.. of course not.. so she says how can they possibly accurately test for sound and pitch if they can't hear what's going on.. the response she got was, "well that makes sense, let me try it out and get back to you"... who's the expert here? Very long and exhausting story short, they said they replaced the pitch control and put in a new motor chip, sent it back after a month. Got it back, hooked it up, right away noticed the same problem. Nothing had been fixed. We called again very angry, told them we'd send them a damn recording if they were too inexperienced to figure it out. They said we could send it back to them and they'd look again but we had to pay for it as it was now conveniently out of warranty. We said no way we'll talk to a manager as the previous problems which were present prior to the expiration of our warranty were still current problems. So we spoke to Joe. He said he'd take care of us. They paid for shipping. They had the equipment for another month, still insist there was nothing wrong, threaten them once again, they send brand new ones to us.. guess what.. no more issues, they work fine. However, the mixer that was just replaced went. The connections were loose and nothing would go through the headphones. Even though they said the 1 year warranty would start over at the time we received the new one and technically we still had a month of service, they claimed that was not true and the warranty was up, but would make an exception and look at it for free, but we had to pay for shipping as well any repairs. So we said forget it and decided not to mess with Denon again. I recently purchased the Pioneer djm-700 from 123 dj because I'm a glutton for punishment I guess. It came with a free case, I also purchased 2 other individual cases for my denon turntables. So far everything is great, I'm hoping pioneer has a better customer service than denon. And it's taken me 1 year and a half to realize that I still haven't gotten the FREE headphones that supposedly came with my first order! 123 dj is at the top of my "most wanted" list, but they offered a free case, and in all honesty that is the only reason I went back to them, and the free shipping which this time really was free, however now I see there are absolutely NO returns.. not even 7 days.. everything is final, BUT I get to exchange it for the same one if I happen to have a problem within those first 7 days.. way to go above and beyond in customer service guys! If Neil truly is the manager, I think he needs to step up his game with customer service and warehouse affairs. It's pretty pathetic the way they're running that company and it will end up going under eventually for it, which is probably why they don't do returns anymore; hard up for sales!

wow i wish i would of found this before i ordered from these ********** . I purchased what they called a party base from them. Since it says allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery i did. after the 8th week i called them up to see how much longer i would have to wait since i'm in N.Y and they were in Chicago. they told me on the 8th week that they ran out of the speakers i purchased cause they were in high demand and to give them another week and THEY WOULD BE SHIPPED OUT!!! when they came in from another warehouse. they would also express ship them at no extra cost for me. I said fine cause it would take that long anyway if i would ask for my money. i checked everyday for an email with a tracking number that never came. i called them at the end of the next week giving the an extra week. when i finally got to speak to someone they told me the same story but this time it was the warehouse manager Neil...LOL Two weeks after that witch i don't know why i kept agreeing to it the offered my money back and i said of course not to keep going to long but you can imagine if they did that to me on their speakers imagine how long it took me to get my money>>>DON'T BUY FROM 123 DJ PAY MORE AND SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE

OK, so all the headaches you all had, i had to suffer every single one right now. OK so i ordered my Mackie Pairs Vr450s. I ordered them and wait one week to get your tracking number right..NOT. I called everyday for one month and they gave me the bullcrap of that they are oh high demand we will ship them as soon as we get them express at no cost to me. NOT i waited another 2 weeks and i still didnt get nothing. I ended taking the JBL EONS 315 and i get the tracking number 3 days later. So i get them friday and i test both of them and one speaker is already blown. I had to wait till after memorial day to call to explain the situation and that guy NEIL was already blaming me i blew the speaker. Im like wth are you talking about i tried it out on Friday and it was already poped...hes like nah you popped it, im gonna send you a label to ship it back to us. Ok from May 17 until today which is june 22nd i receive that fffing label. and god knows how long i have to wait to receive my speaker from them as i paid 1 G to them... EVERYDAY i called 123 hes not here hes in the warehouse or that hes not here.. yo 123 is one of the biggest BS'ers and their horrible customer service is one of the worst ive ever dealt with. Im in Miami and i have had a such a huge headache and i have to DJ off one speaker and one yorkville sub. You know how unproffesional that looks... Yo 123 thanks alot, ya are the worst dj company eveeeeeeeeeeerrrrrr... DONT BUY FROM 123. If i would of known of this complaints, ya would of saved me me such a headache...DONT BUY FROM 123.!!!

Yes be very aware of these guys I order a cdmp-6000 complete set and extra headphone with a laptop stand and everthing got back ordered. took me over one month to get all my equipment and one of the speaker didn't even work plug it into power jack nothing!!!. I called and got the run-a-round again the customer service sucks. I will never ever buy anything from these people again. Packaging also sucks looks like its been on the shelves for years. i wish it was more I could do to keep this from happening to anyone els I just can say dont deel with these people YOU WILL BE SORRY.

it's just horrible to see and read all those experiences posted! Unfortunately, i myself had problems with them. I purchased a cdmixer and waited nearly a six months only to keep calling and FINALLY being told that the item had to be sent from the manufacture's warehouse, so again i waited and waited and WAITED! patience i didn't have anymore and i blew my tops on the phone, however, i was given another brand to subdue my anger, but the additional FREE headphone i got (nothing to talk about, but hey it's free) but the FREE cordless mic i didn't receive, so again i called and called, being promised to have it rectified and shipped out but to no avail. and that was LAST YEAR LOL. so that just goes to show that their Customer Service really sucks for real!!!

I definitely agree that 123dj.com is a ripped off online store I have very bad bad experience to the recently, to begin with I order a case from this guy voice name ELY, I was being told that the case is in stock and ready to ship, wow amazing store they have everything in stock so I paid it thru paypal which i know is one of the safest way .(GOOD THING FOR ME ) then after A week this Ely guy called me and telling me that now the case is in back order, wow!!! this ain't not good they lie to there customer!!! I said it fine it s happen all the the and being told buy this guy ELY that he's gonna issue me a refund and its been almost 3 weeks I never received my refund ...HEYYY whats going on this guys don't know how to do business especially customer service and believe it I' wll not, ever, ever, ever recommend to shop in this website 123dj.com

I am going through a nightmare with 123dj right now. I wish that I had seen these comments before ordering. I of course, now know who NEIL is and have yet to receiva a refund for items that were not in stock and canceled by me. It has been one promise after another an this is the worse customer response that I have ever experienced. After 45 days of promises every other day, I finally just contacted visa and filed a transaction dispute to get my money back. But this means that they had to cancel my card and reissue a new one. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, OR YOU WILL BE SORRY X 50. I HAVE MADE 6 SUBSEQUENT PURCHASES FROM ZZOUNDS, RECEIVED SHIPMENT NEXT DAY OR SECOND DAY AND HAVE TOTALLY BEEN BLOWN AWAY WITH THEIR SERVICE (ZZOUNDS IS THE ONE YOU WANT). THEIR PRICES ARE NOT QUITE AS LOW AS 123DJ, BUT TRUST ME, SPEND A FEW EXTRA DOLLARS AND BE HAPPY AND HEADACHE FREE!!

Headache is a understatement with company . Try getting JBL PRX635 value pack speakers from them. received one pair of speakers in Dec. 19 one is damaged . Received the second pair Jan.5 2012 preface shape.I do believe the first set has been used I'm still waiting for the speaker covers and probably will never see them. This whole order was in early Nov. 2011. After several calls to a so called manger named Elliot I just gave up. ill take my lost and run. I wish I had caught this complaint sight earlier .

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH 123DJ !!!

Placed an order in May 29th for my daughters 1st BDay June 22nd. Products showed up at the end of July. No communication I had to keep calling them to find out the status. Mid July I cancelled my order and they said that they cancelled it. The order showed up at the end of July. Numerous phone calls. Neil is a layer. Sent products back and still have not received a refund. Its now October 17th. Don't learn this lesson the hard way. Just stay away from 123DJ. WTF. How many complaints does it take to put this scum bag out of business. He now has my money and his product back. What a scum bag.
