Champion Windows Window installation

We ordered 8 windows on 2/22/2022 at over $11,000.

Six months later the "install" occurred on 8/15/2022 by non-Champion employees. They did a terrible job. They damaged the siding on the house when they removed to old windows. They did not have the "deluxe trim" that was supposed to be installed on the exterior to prevent water intrusion into our siding. As a result of the snow that we have received this year we now have siding damage. They said that will be fixed. They also damaged the sills on several windows. I will need to fill and repaint. The 6'x6' window in the front was supposed to have Open Prairie grids, instead they came with Closed Prairie grids. They had to reorder the correct style sashes and those were installed in December. We were having problems closing and latching several windows. We discovered it was because the window frames were "racked" (installed incorrectly). On one side by side window we could not remove the windows for cleaning (this is a stated feature). So we had to schedule another visit to fix that along with the fact that most of the weeper holes had been caulked closed. No interior trim was put on the windows. Champion sent a couple of Champion employees in Feb and March of 2023 to start fixing some of the issues. The side by side window was completely replaced. The 6'x6' window was removed and reset in the frame squarely. The rest of the windows that were out of square were re-shimmed. In the process of all this remediation the Champion employees discovered the the windows were not properly insulated around the frames. They fixed that as best they could. Here we are on 3/31/2023, over a year later, and the town inspector came today. We didn't pass. The installers were suppose to leave the "U-Factor" stickers or some documentation with us. There was only one sticker on the small bathroom window. Also the repairs still need to be completed on the siding. They are saying that the damage was pre-existing. It is interesting that the windows that they didn't touch aren't showing damage.

Desired outcome: I'd like a partial refund and the repairs to be completed. These were supposed to be "premium windows" with a Lifetime Warranty. I feel like this purchase was such a big mistake.

Champion Windows Sunroom window

I requested service on a sunroom Champion 365 window in January 2023. The technician came to my home on January 16. I paid $119 for the service call. The technician said he would be back to install the window at no additional charge, because it is a Champion 365 and it has a lifetime guarantee.

On February 24, I received a call from the company offering me a price quote to replace the window. I was shocked because it is a 365 Champion window which is guaranteed for the lifetime as long as the purchaser owns the home. I have had three more conversations with this company. They continue to say that my window is not guaranteed. They have repeatedly said they would send a copy of the warranty to me. As of today it appears they have also lied about that. It is now March 13 and I still have not received it. I am fed up with this company. I am widow on a fixed income.

Desired outcome: I want some respect from the company. They have repeatedly treated me as the offender, not the customer. I expect Champion to replace this window as is stated in the guarantee.

Champion Windows Siding improperly installed August 4, 2022

I signed a contract for windows and siding on July 13, 2021 (during this time period of 7/13/21 to 8/4/22 the installations was reported to be done 3 different times and billed as such). Here are some of the reasons why I am dissatisfied with champion/quality of work:

1. The old starter track which was falling apart from the old siding was reused.

2. The house wrap was not done as per contract.

3. Some of the old siding remains on the house around the bay window and door.

4. The crew accidently covered up electric boxes that I caught during the install.

5. The crew tried to put J-channel around deck post that was not fixed to the house, this I caught them before it was done. Unfortunately, I was not able to stop the J-channel around a electrical conduit that runs up the house leaving gaps.

6. One peak of a gable the siding is wavy because of improper backing.

7. The work crew of 4 was only given 2 days for the job. At the end of the 2nd day of the job the house was only half done with insulation exposed to incoming rain storms. The crew leader said that they would have to leave and start another job. Not knowing when they would be back to finish, I called a manager (only to get voice mail) and pleaded to let the crew finish. Fortunately we were able to persuade them to do so.

8. The crew was going to leave to the temporary poorly cut white j-channel around the windows. I told them that the contract called for matching j-channel. The windows are another story, which is why I came close to cancelling the side installment knowing I would have to pay a large cancellation fee.

9. Currently the siding is wavy and very lose at the bottom.

10. Issues were address to a regional manager on August 4,2022. A champion inspection was done on December 7, 2022, pictures were taken and I was under the impression that there was a understanding on the issues (at that time I was informed of the crews dismissal).

11. Since then I have tried to reach out to champion by email with no response.

Desired outcome: To have the job done correctly whether it would be champion or another qualified installer.

Champion Windows Unable to get replacement weather stripping for my french doors installed by champion.

Since just after the pandemic I have been trying to buy some replacement weather stripping for the French doors I purchased from Champion. I can't find any that fits in Lowes or Home Depot. I have been calling Carl Jones at the Columbia, SC store for over a year. At first, he said it was supply chain issues because of the pandemic. I waited for a year then called again. He said they didn't have any but would call me back when some came in. I waited another 6 months and when I didn't hear from him called him back. He said he thought he had some in the warehouse and would check. He never called me back so I started calling again. He never returned my calls. Now his phone says the phone has not been set up for voicemail which usually means a number has been blocked. All I want is to be able to order some replacement weather stripping because my dog has scratched a hole big enough for bugs to get in. I have replaced doors in this house and windows in two other homes I owned in the past but I don't think I will ever do business with you again if you can't sell me some freaking weather stripping!

Desired outcome: I want at least 6 weather stips for my French doors

Champion Windows Bad customer service...

We had noticed that the finish on the inside of our door frame, that had been installed 3 years ago, (factory finish) had begun to bubble. I called Champion and they sent someone out in about 2 weeks. We had to wait from December 2021 to September 2022 to get that fixed. Then prior to them coming to do that the keyless entry lock on the same door quit working and I called to see if they could replace that when they came to fix the door frame since that is the main entrance door that we use. Apparently, they had not told the repair person about that, so he did not have one to replace it, but he ordered one. I was called in October and told that it was at the warehouse, and they set an install date for early November. The day of the install appointment the repairman called me and said that he didn't have the lock because it had not come in yet, but they would call as soon as it came in. Three weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I called and left a message with no reply. In the meantime, I have called two more times with no replies. I finally left a FB message and got a quick response this past Monday. The person said they would reach out to the company to make sure they get with me. Not surprisingly, I have not received any type of phone call from them. I am beyond frustrated with their customer service.

Desired outcome: Get our keyless entry lock replaced.

Champion Windows Patio door and 5 windows purchased in August 2022

December 29, 2022

To: sales representative and all management

Notes regarding Champion Windows purchase for 4147 DaVinci Drive, Longmont, Colorado

Carol and Jane Eddy purchased new one patio door and five windows in early August 2022 somewhere around the 5th from salesman Travis Horner of your Ft. Collins, CO office.

The first installment date was scheduled for the 18th of November, Jane took the day off work, we rescheduled several personal appointments but the installers did not show up. Champion did not call to cancel this or tell us why they did arrive or communicate anything about the status of our purchase. Jane had to call & leave several messages and finally a manager called back and was told 2 of the windows had to be reordered due to the fact they were measured incorrectly and we could reschedule installation at our convenience. Prior to this scheduled non-installation we had the drapes taken down which cost us $85.00 and we moved our furniture for the first time. The installation was finally scheduled December 28th, 2022 (a date we did not choose). We were not happy with this date but finally agreed. We did tell every person we spoke to and text numerous times that a spring installation would be fine. After Champion’s no-show, we moved our furniture back so we could have Thanksgiving dinner, decorate some for the holidays and have Christmas dinner. However, the drapes were still in storage (getting more and more wrinkled since November 15th). We had guest coming for Christmas dinner and couldn’t leave our home unlivable & in a shambles.

On December 26th, 2022 Jane called left a message asking if we could reschedule for spring as this was on the north side of the house and there was still much ice and snow. Champion wanted to install anyway. We had to rush to get Christmas decoration down and put away. Move our furniture and lamps, remove pictures from wall, etc. again. This is not easy for two elderly women (one over sixty and one over eighty). It was quite obvious they wanted their balance of money before the end of the year. No regard for the customer even though we a paid almost $10,000 a patio door and five windows.

The installer’s arrived about 9:30 Wednesday, December 28th but bad weather was supposed to move in that afternoon. The two installers had no Champion identification or did not wear anything that had a Champion logo on it like the salesman & person who did the measurements - one drove a van with Champion painted on it and the other came in a non-descript passenger vehicle. This left us to believe that it was a “rush” job and maybe one of the installers was a day laborer because he was so dirty and unkempt. Before they started, Carol told the installers the deck had just been repainted and not to put anything on it that would scratch thinking they would cover it but they did NOT. They started removing the patio doors, removing the screen first. The man living on the west (we have a cease-and-desist order filed with the state against him) ask one of the installers if he could have the screen, the installer told him yes without consulting anyone. When ask about it the installer just said he would not have to go to the dump now. Carol heard all of this as she was just inside the open door. We feel that this was very poor decision made by the installer but they both really appeared to have no regard for us or our home even though we were very nice to them. The two installers continued to remove the two patio doors and two square windows above the doors. The windows above the patio did not fit as they were manufactured incorrectly-the weeps on the windows were in the incorrect positions. Both had to be reordered and the installer that we assumed was a Champion employee told us it would take another four to six weeks. Then the two installers put in the patio doors and two windows located above to fit as best they could dues to what they had to work with. I am attaching pictures as they did a very poor job - the windows/door are not level with the other windows in the room, the big gap between the wall and the patio door that lets the cold air in, the new patio door that already has a piece falling off of it and one window is not flush with the building and sits on diagonal. If all of this were not bad enough, the new patio door had some missing parts for the lock. Unfortunately, the installers had to wait a long time for someone to bring down from Ft. Collins. The person finally arrived, at least two hours or more later and the lock was put in. The two installers did what they needed to do, put the keys on the fire place mantel and left without telling us or showing us how the lock worked or telling us why the job was only partially done or if anybody would ever contact us again. Our house is very open. They could have called one of our names to let us know and we would have come. This was very rude and unprofessional. Who is going to pay a portion of our heating bill, the cost of taking down our drapes/rehanging or replacing them and the costs of the inconvenience to us? It appears to us that Champion wanted to get this off the books for 2022 and does not care for their customers. This job is not near completion – only the patio door and two windows above have been poorly installed & the one sliding window in great room and two above windows have not been installed. The door and windows must both be level, the windows above the door must be flush and there must be something done about the quality of the patio door along with the huge gap between the wall and door. We had the drapes taken down November 15th and our house has been in a mess since that date. We have called many times to make arrangements to have the drapes rehung and had to had to cancel knowing it would cost us another $85.00. We will need to move our furniture, lamps, remove pictures again for Champion to complete the job but do not know when. We are requesting payment for all of our trouble and this made right, Champion’s lack of communication and inconveniences plus a discount of the purchase cost of the one patio door and five windows we paid dearly for. You advertise your product being satisfactory & 100% customer satisfaction, which is far from the truth. We had even thought of purchasing more windows for our home but this experience has been such a nightmare that we have definitely changed our minds.

Champion Windows Sunroom install

On May 27, 2022, we contacted Champion via their web form. We had been interested in have a sunroom installed, and after contacting another local company who gave us an estimate well out of our budget, we wanted to obtain another estimate. I received a call back from Champion in a very short period after submitting the form and scheduled an appointment for a sales representative to come out and give us an estimate. The appointment was scheduled for Monday, June 6, 2022, at 6:00 PM EST. I had chosen this appointment time so that I would be off work and present for the appointment. On June 5, 2022, I received an appointment reminder from Champion confirming my appointment for Monday, June 6, 2022, at 06:00 PM EST. I received a call from my wife on the appointment day, just before 3:00 PM, informing me that the sales representative from Champion, Marty Stein, had arrived. I was at work and in no way ready to leave for the day since my information indicated that the representative from Champion would be arriving three hours later, at 6:00 PM.

I did not want my wife to be there by herself when dealing with the sales representative, and this is not what we had planned for, so I inconveniently left work to drive home to meet the Champion salesperson. When I arrived, my wife had already picked the style of sunroom she wanted, a gabled sunroom that we had hoped could be placed atop of our existing deck. We were informed that since the deck was over 5 years ole, it was 7 years old, the deck would need to be torn out and replaced with a deck that Champion would construct. Marty explained the features of the sunroom to us and proceeded to measure for the room. After entering the measurements and sunroom features that we had opted for, he came back with an estimate in excess of $100,000. This was well over our budget, and we told Marty that we would have to pass on the sunroom. Marty proceeded to tell us that he knew how much we wanted the sunroom and how beautiful it would be, and he began to go remove various features to reduce the price. He asked us if we could do our own tear out and electric. We have used other contractors in the past, and we were certain that in the 18–20 weeks that it would take for construction to begin, we could hire someone to do this work. Marty informed us that this would be a cheaper option for us anyway. He also removed air conditioning, glass in the knee walls of the room, and the wrap that would need to be around the bottom of the new room. He also showed us that the deck would come to the edge of our existing deck, allowing us to retain the ramp that we had constructed for our aging dogs as well as the lower deck at ground level. He stated that we would simply have the deck torn out just up to the ramp.

Marty did some computations and came up with an estimate of $80,103. Though this was costlier than we were expecting, it was more reasonable than the original estimate, and though it was 2/3 of what we paid for our home 18 years ago, we discussed, and decided that we could afford the approximate $1,000 monthly payments that Marty had computed. Marty told us that this deal was good only during this visit, so if we wanted this price, the decision would need to be made on-the-spot. We wanted the room, and it was within our affordability, so we proceeded with the financing. Marty prepped us for the call to GreenSky for the financing. When it came to the income question as we were trying to calculate out combined incomes in our head, Marty told us that they wouldn’t check, and we could pretty much say anything we wanted for the income question. He, basically, “coached” us what to say on the income question. Though the answers we gave were not out of range for us, we could have reported our income as anything. He also asked us if the approved amount did not equal the estimate, would we have a means to come up with the difference. We replied that we could depending on the approval amount. We proceeded with the calls (my wife and I acted as co-applicants), and were quickly approved for $85,000 of which we accepted only the full amount of the estimate, $80,103. We had no doubt that we would be approved since we both have very good credit with scores from all 3 reporting bureaus in the 800-850 range. Before he left, Marty had us go to Google reviews to leave a review for Champion. He monitored us while we did this, making sure we left a positive review. At the time, we were taken by Marty’s charm and left positive reviews. In retrospect, this was just a tactic to ensure that the Google review for Champion that customers see when Googling Champion had a high positive rating. It was after further research, that we realized that there are many unsatisfied customers of Champion.

Marty informed us that we should be hearing from Install Supervisor, Gary Goss, within the next several weeks to come out for more precise measurements. I received a call from Gary on June 21, 2022 at 10:20 AM EST, asking if I was available for him to come out and re-measure sometime that day. This was very short notice, and I had no arrangements to leave work, and my wife was not available. He informed me that he would be near Lexington again on Thursday, June 23, and could try to schedule the re-measure for that day. I told Gary that this would be more ideal for me, and he informed me that he would call to schedule a time for that day. I did not hear from anyone until I received a call that Caller ID identified as coming from Bradley Pence at 12:54 PM EST on Thursday, June 23, 2022. He informed me that he was in the Louisville area and could come by for the re-measure in approximately 90 minutes. He called again at 2:28 PM EST to inform me that he had run into some traffic, and it would be a little later than he expected. I was at work and could not leave. However, my wife was home, so I stated that it was no problem. He called again at 3:27 PM EST to let me know he was there, and I informed my wife.

Gary came around the back of the house and began to measure. He informed my wife that there were several changes that would need to be made. First, the sunroom would have to be about one foot wider. This would come to the middle of our dog ramp that sits on our bottom deck. So, the ramp and deck that Marty indicated would not be a problem, were now going to be destroyed. Also, she was told that the extra foot would add to the originally agreed upon cost of the room. Also, he stated that they should really do the tear out and electricity. He convinced her that these options which we had originally opted against to bring the price down, would best be performed by Champion since they are familiar with the sunrooms and could do the job more efficiently. The room would also have to be moved over from the original location so as not to interfere with the existing gutters on our home. My wife commented that Gary’s demeanor was very unprofessional, and her perception was that this was going to be a big job that he was not really interested in doing due to the discouragement he had for the original plans we had made with Marty. He also made a comment to her that he would be buying a new tractor with the money he would make off this installation. He informed her that Marty would be in touch to discuss these changes.

My wife and I discussed the discrepancies between the salesperson and re-measure, and the tactics used by both representatives and decided that we no longer wanted to go through with the project. In the meantime, she had seen many negative reviews of Champion online. These ranged from leaking rooms, excessive delays in construction, shoddy construction, over-handed sales tactics, difficulty obtaining warrantied repairs, and unforeseen circumstances that significantly increased the cost of construction. We also realized that Champion is not Better Business Bureau accredited and currently maintains a 2.6/5 rating based on customer reviews on the BBB website. These factors combined with the price we were paying for the room convinced us both that it was not worth proceeding. We both are very busy people with two busy teenagers, and we were not prepared to deal with the inevitable issues that may occur. All the issues we dealt with between the sales call and the re-measure were an omen for us of things to come. We decided that we would call Marty on Monday to let him know we were cancelling the construction.

On Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 11:11 AM, I received a call from Marty. I was out of town and unable to answer the phone, so I ignored the call. This original call was followed by a text at 11:13 AM and another phone call at 11:14 AM. This seemed a bit excessive to me. The text indicated that he was calling to ask about the quote we wanted for the tear out and electrical work. I texted Marty back to let him know that I was not in a place to talk and let him know that I would call him later in the evening. He responded that he would be available all day. I returned home in the early evening and received another text from Marty at 7:39 PM. I had just sat down to eat, so I returned his call at 8:09 PM. It was at this time that I let Marty know of our intention to cancel. I told him of the issues with the significant changes between what we had originally agreed to and what had transpired during the re-measure. He was shocked that so much had changed and completely unaware. Of course, he tried to assure me that everything would be ok, that we shouldn’t have to tear out the ramp or bottom deck. He stated he would call Gary and get to the bottom of this issue. We both agreed that he would call me back after speaking with Gary and decide how to proceed.

I received a call from Marty the following morning, Monday June 27, 2022, at 9:50 AM. He informed me that he didn’t know why Gary had told us that we would lose the ramp and bottom deck, and the room could be made smaller, saving us some money. However, at this point our minds were made up. We had been pulled in many directions during the pre-construction process, so what could we expect from the actual construction process? I insisted to him that we were cancelling the project. I explained that in addition to all the issues and changes, Gary had given my wife an uneasy feeling and “rubbed her the wrong way” with his unprofessional manner and comments. Marty stated that this was not the first time that he had heard such complaints about Gary, and he could not stop us from cancelling if that was, indeed, what we wanted. He stated he had passed along our wish to cancel to his manager, and I should hear from him within a few days. Within 16 minutes, at 10:12 AM, I received a call from Gary asking if he had done something to discourage us from following through with the construction. I was shocked that he was calling, and it was obvious that Marty had called him to blame him for our canceling. In addition to being extremely unprofessional for an individual to call a customer concerning a complaint on themselves, it is extremely confrontational. Wanting to avoid conflict, I was very diplomatic with Gary, getting off the phone as soon as possible due to my discomfort with the situation. A short time later, after receiving a Facebook notification, I noticed that Gary Goss was the first person that appeared in my “People you may Know” section. We had no Facebook friends in common, so this could only be the result of being “Facebook Stalked”. Though Gary may see this as a harmless act, I feel a bit threatened to know that he has tried to access my social media as a means of obtaining some sort of information about me. Fortunately, I have the proper security measures for my Facebook account to prevent this sort of prying.

Champion confirmed receipt of my cancellation on Tuesday 6/28/2022 via email and was told that my request was forwarded to the local manages and they would start the cancellation process. I have attempted to contact a live person multiple times in the meantime. I have had no success via phone calls to Champion customer service, emails, or submission of online forms. Was put in touch with

Michelle Goins, office manager at the Lexington office. She confirmed receipt of the contract cancellation and told me it had been sent on to the production manager and regional manager due to the 30% liability. I told her I needed to speak with someone, anyone, that could help me. She transferred me to an unknown person. I received a voicemail without any identification and left my name and phone number.

On 7/9/2022, I called Champion again. The customer service operator tried to contact the “office manager”

As you can see, our experience with Champion was less than ideal, and I believe it shows a serious flaw in the way you do business. I feel as though we were caught in the middle of a battle between your salesperson and Install supervisor. I am aware of the contractual repercussions of canceling at this point, but I would like you to consider our negative experience. I would ask that you also consider the considerable changes that occurred between the sales visit and re-measure. These changes were significant and deviated what was agreed upon in our contract. I believe these factors together with the unprofessional sales tactics, and the unprofessional behavior of your Install Supervisor warrant further consideration of the repercussions of our cancellation.

After filing a complaint with the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Protection, I was put in touch with Kimberly Zahneis, National Customer Care Supervisor. Despite repeated calls and messages, I have not been able to reach Kimberly or anyone else for that matter; just crickets.

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund! I am currently on the hook for $24K with no sunroom!

Champion Windows Main office is in Ohio

Complaint to the Better Business Bureau 11/20/2022 against Champion Windows out of Ohio

On 05/24/2021 my spouse and I signed a contract to have vinyl siding put on our house through Champion, at that time the sales representative was very insistent that we go through Green Sky financial which he stated was their preferred finance source, as they have done business with them for many years. We indicated that we could get financing through our own source at which point he indicated that if we got our own financing it would delay the process of the order, we reluctantly signed the contract.

After further discussion with my spouse, we decided that we also wanted Champion to install two sets of French doors: one on each end of the house, as well as a new front door for the house. We contacted the sales representative again, he came out on 09/24/2021 at which time we chose which doors we wanted and contacted Green Sky to ensure that they would finance the additional money for the doors, Green Sky agreed to the financing, and we signed a contract at that time. We began paying Green Sky on these loans the month after the initial contract was signed. Green Sky consolidated the loan into a new account which covered both loans.

On 08/17/22 we received a letter from Champion stating that our account with them was past due. On or about 08/22/22, we went down to the local Champion office and talked with the person who manned the desk about it and she in turn called Green Sky for us. According to Green Sky they have released all funds to Champion and Champion was informed of this and they also said that if Champion had questions about the account to call them. On 10/02/22, I received and email from Mark Fisher, Production Support Specialist requesting that I call him at earliest convenience regarding the current status of our Green Sky loan. According to Mr. Fisher, we needed to contact Green Sky for them to release the rest of our loan. I reached out to Green Sky though email and according to them all funds have been release to Champion and I passed this information on to Mr. Fisher on 10/03/22 in an email.

When we ordered three doors for our house from Champion, we ordered a new front door and two sets of French doors with internal blinds. All of these doors were supposed to have one set of keys to fit all of the locking mechanisms When the local Champion installation crew installed the French doors in our house, one set of locking mechanisms was missing as well as the storm/screen door for the front door of our house. The installation crew indicated that those items were not shipped with the order and that the internal blinds in one side of the French doors installed off our dining room had issues with the internal blinds and that they would send somebody to resolve the issue within the next week. About two weeks later a crew came out to install the front screen/storm door and to install the correct doorknobs for dining room’s set of doors. At which time the installer indicated that they could not repair the internal blinds and had to replace the internal blinds system within the store because of a defect in blinds tracking mechanism. As of this date we have not heard anything else from the local Champion installation supervisors/crew in reference to them receiving the replacement internal blinds.

I did sign an acceptance order for the siding Champion installed on the house I did not sign an acceptance order for the doors due to the fact that the defect in the sliding blinds has not been repaired.

On 11/19/22 I received a phone call from an individual, who identified himself as representing Champion from their home office in Ohio. This individual became rather indignant that I contact their Green Sky and sign the paperwork in order to have the final payments to Champion released. I told the individual that as soon as they come in and replace the defective blinds, I would sign all the paperwork necessary to release all the funds that Green Sky has for them. His comeback was that they will not send anyone out to fix their defective product until after I sign the paperwork giving them the remainder of the money. In his next stop was to turn the issue over to legal. I told him that would be all right because I’m sure the judge will see that you don’t pay for defective products and hope like hell, they’ll come back someday to repair them.

Desired outcome: The blinds to be fixed and resolution regarding the issue of payment along with a response and apology.

Iasked if they where in stock they said yes but it will take at least 90 days before they could get to installation. In late October I contacted them for installation date I tryed for 4 weeks no communication. Finally received a call from salesman stating I needed to sign new contract because he put the wrong price. I refuse to sign another contract. They made the error and waited 3 months to inform me then they should have to stand behind their contract.

Desired outcome: Complete the install

Champion Windows Shoddy work, poor follow up

It took two men ten days to install one window and they messed up the wall in the process requiring re-painting of one wall. They are running and hiding from me now, won't take or return calls. Jordan Deeb said he would furnish paint for wall (first lie) and would even come out and paint the wall (Isecond lie). I talked to Will Nybert, purportedly Deeb's boss four days ago. He has not been back in contact either. They must think because I am old (88 years old) they can take advantage. Not so! My brain still works and they WILL take care of this problem or they can continue running and hiding.

Champion Windows Improper installation of 3 lite slider.

On 8-5-2022, ten windows were installed at my home. The 3 lite slider was not installed to my satisfaction. The installer called Champion to request a work order to correct what he described as a warped frame and would have to be replaced. After waiting more than 6 weeks for a reply from Champion,I have made at least 4 attempts to contact Champion. No reply from the sales person or the company. I have contacted customer service again no reply.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a reply confirming a work order has been placed and when the repair will take place

My initial experience with Champion's Sales Representative was very good. However, my after-the-sale experience was abysmal. Almost five months have passed and the job has yet to be started. My efforts to get things moving have been many and futile. The ongoing excuse for this delay is that all of the windows are ready to be installed, except one gla...

Champion Windows Sunroom

I put a $10,430 down payment on a sunroom on 9/17/21. Still waiting for it to be installed, been told since the room was already built, I would have to pay 30% of total price to get my money back. Well that would have been almost the whole down payment. I have had 3 communications with this company, and that is from me reaching out to them. They measured wrong the first time, so the room was not the right size, then they had to confer with the engineer, three people have since called telling me how short staffed they are and there is no time frame on starting this project. They ripped me off, I want my whole down payment back, and they are doing everything in their power to push me aside and not communicate with me. I am so sad and depressed over this entire mess that I will never trust another company for any work on my home. It has been well over a year, with no room and no time frame to complete or even start. One man was here to start taking my deck apart before they realized it had the wrong measurement and he ended up walking off the job. On 10/10/22 the engineer and installation person was here, showed up unannounced after I sent a text telling them I was contacting a lawyer, 10 minutes later they are in my backyard. And that was after waiting 46 days since the guy walked off the job and last time I heard from them. The engineer that was here on 10/10/22 said they would be back in a week, I received a call from someone on last Monday from Tennessee telling me he is calling all Champion customers to let them know how short staffed they are and that there is no time frame for starting this project. I am so upset and angry and frustrated. I just want my money back and for Champion to go away. I want them to rescind their contract and go mess someone’s else’s dream room up.

Desired outcome: I want my full $10,430 down payment back, but in my contract it states if I cancel before final measurement day it would only cost me up to $1,000. And since it was measured wrong that might be the key.

Champion Windows Pario window installation

I had glass windows installed on my pation to replace screens. Champion did the work fine, however it took me contacting Mr Westley at the Atlanta office and threatening to cancel my order before the job was completed. After completion I contacted Mr Westley again and complained that the the seal was not affixed properly. He said someone would be out to my house Monday ( that was Saturday) and now it's almost 3 months later and no one has shown up. Mr Westley no longer takes my calls nor replies to my texts.

Desired outcome: Someone reseal the window. A 20 minute service call is cheaper than a window replacement because moisture seaping inside the seal.

Champion Windows window replacement

The product is very good but you cannot get in touch with Champion. The phone numbers listed are always steady busy or just will not go through. I have tried calling in the AM and in the PM, with the same result.

I ordered, and paid a deposit, on May 20, 2022. I get no follow up from Champion. Today, October 5, 2022 I still cannot get through to Champion, and do not have my windows.

Desired outcome: A phone call about the status of my order.

Champion Windows Customer service

Champion windows is quite possibly the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life. The quality of the product that they sell isn’t bad if you actually ever receive it. I had new windows put in and they’re actually OK. Although I have had to have service out twice in the four months since they’ve been put in. They are more expensive than any other company and I went with their order because I believed their customer service claims. In addition to windows I ordered doors for my home and garage and also siding for a detached garage. This was in January. It is now October. At the end of May I started calling no one ever returned my calls. Well let’s say those that did return my calls simply said that they would have to call me back and then they never returned my call. Again I started my calling campaign and emailing campaign at the end of May it is now October. I have sent a couple emails to every one of their offices that I could find a different address for I have tried to call multiple customer service numbers of theirs across the country. Occasionally someone will call me back and they are very nice. The people that answer the phones at their customer service locations are very kind. However they cannot do anything and have to take a message and then no one ever calls me back. Are you seeing a pattern here? Their method is that they just simply don’t have to call you back and that way they do not have to deal with you. Unfortunately I would like to get the deposit money back that I placed on the doors and on the siding. Anyone have an idea of who I can reach out to? My next option is an attorney and I really hate to go that route.

Desired outcome: I want my deposit back for the service and the products I never received. And I want to never hear the word Champion windows again.

Champion Windows Repair service/customer service

This is not a complaint against the product. We have been very pleased with Champion siding and gutters. However, in June of 2022 we had a wind event that damaged our gutters and ripped off soffit. Since we are so please with Champion siding and gutters we wanted our damage replaced with the same great quality. After making the initial contact with Champion, finally a Champion representative came to access our damage. He determined that it would be approximately $1600 to replace and repair. ALSO, that the $1600 would need to be paid in ADVANCE! That bothered me and I questioned it. He squirmed and said that possibly we could pay half, but he would have to get approval from his boss. I reluctantly went ahead and paid the full price upfront. He said someone would be out to double check his figures the following week and everything would be done with the next two weeks. Well, we never heard or saw anyone. That was in July! After, I emailed the company asking for a complete refund and expressing our complete dissatisfaction I received a call from someone else telling me that they would be out within the next week. That was 3 weeks ago and still nothing. i just want want a complete refund. We've already found another company to get this done for us before winter. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. This has been paid since June, it is now September 30th!

Desired outcome: I just want a complete refund for the money that we had to pay upfront. We no longer want or need Champion's services.
