CenturyLink Internet

I have contacted this email I still have heard back from any supervisor my contact info is [protected]. Why is it so had for this company to inform their customers of a outage. Or contact them back when they wish to be contacted by a supervisor. To what extent does this have to go to get a call. My next step is to the better business burrow.

My account number is [protected] I have been a customer for over 20 years. My phone number is above I wish to get a call back from someone.

I have taken off two days of work and have spent over 8 hour on the phone. they will not credit my account. will not tell me when my service will be fixed. and will not have any supervisor reply back.

CenturyLink Home phone service

What horrible customer service and repair service. Home phone has not worked for 2 months . Have had 5 repair scheduled only 1 ever showed up. No calls no updates. Trying to get someone to answer the phone and talk to you is impossible. I pay my bill for a service I can not use. My husband has medical issues and our phone does not work for the doctors or hospital to call.

Desired outcome: I want my phone fixed and 3 months credit on my bill.

CenturyLink Home phone [protected]

We have called 22 times about this. When it rains we lose service for a day or two until it dries out . Repairmen can't find problem

we are in our eighties with health issues and need phone for emergencies. Have mobil but it doesn't work during storms either. Water from rain is causing this, neighbors not effected. Must be in underground wire to house, connection box by road, substation downtown lone jack mo. I doubt in overhead lines, this has been going on for two years.

No other landline available to our area.

Can anyone help ?

CenturyLink Service call for replacing modem

Our internet has been slow and goes off repeatedly. We contacted the service department and was offered an upgraded modem to help with the issues. They set up a time between 8-5 on Monday the 25th of April for someone to install the modem. We were here all day and no one called or showed up. My husband called to ask what happened and was assured that someone would be out here Monday, May 5th between 8 and 5. Once again, no call, no show. We called the Centurylink number and was told there was nothing they could do, but we could go on line and find a better number to call and inquire. Why set up an appointment when someone needs to be here for a service and then not call to cancel or show up? This is very discouraging from a company that provides communication services. Now we have no idea when someone is coming, but we received the bill showing what our new modem will be costing us next month.

CenturyLink Phone and internet service

I live in the small subdivision in North Carolina. This is small community with 13 lots @ 10-14 acres each. From March-April in 2022, our community has experienced poor customer and repair service after multiple calls from multiple residents. Century link has failed to properly fix our service putting residents in compromising positions if we were to have an emergency and have to call 911. The phone either does not work or drops in the middle of calls. Additionally our internet service is unreliable such that one resident had to quit her job since she was unable to work from home. This is unacceptable in the year of 2022 where remote working has become the norm. Multiple residents, not just a few, have lost phone signal, phone disconnecting and dropping during calls as well as loss of internet service. Since we are in a rural area with poor service, we are very dependent on their service.

Desired outcome: Century Link should place higher priority to small rural communities that do not have access to good cell service of companies like Spectrum to ensure they have the tools to be able to call emergency numbers and work from home.

Century Link did not notify customers in this area that any problem existed; therefore, many of us replaced hand-held phone batteries and/or purchased new hand-held phones--thinking the dropped calls were related to our equipment. It is unacceptable for a company to be silent when numerous customers are experiencing the SAME issue...unpredictable dropped calls. When will we even know that the issue has been resolved? Living in a rural area, we have no choice for phone service; there is no competition; we are dependent on the good will and common courtesy of an essential service company.

I lease my modem and pay for it monthly, it failed last month. They came out and replaced same, now want to charge me 100.00 to replace their failed equipment. What a rip off, scam artist at their finest.

CenturyLink Nuisance calls

Our phone has been ringing every few minutes all morning today. They are calls with ID numbers and calls from all over the country. We need help in eliminating this constant phone harassment. We pay our bill for service, not harassment. Thank you to take care of this. My complaint described the happenings of today, 3-28-22 but this has been happening for several months (10,11,12of1921 and all of this year of 1922.) What can be done? As I said, the outcome need to be peace. Thanks.

CenturyLink Get a refund of $520 and pay the market rate of $65 for high speed internet service going forward.

In January of 2021, we ordered high speed internet service from CenturyLink. The switch was supposed to reduce the monthly cost of service from $99/month to $65/month. Unfortunately, our order was not processed correctly (as told to us by a CenturyLink technician, they failed to disconnect the hold account) and we ended up being billed for internet service. Since one was billed to a credit card and one was a paper bill, we did not initially noticed that CenturyLink failed to disconnect our old service and was double billing us. Multiple attempts to fix this problem have not been fully successful and have made some of the problems worse. While we were told several times that we would be reimbursed roughly $1,300 for the 13 months that were were double billed, instead we got a refund for $780 (12 months of the cheaper $65 service) and are now being billed $99 per month even though I have multiple pieces of correspondence stating that our service should be $65 month. So, we are still owed $520 and are now being over-billed for our monthly service. Each call to CenturyLink typically involved waiting at least an hour to get through, loads of dishonesty and excuses, and we have been hung up on twice when asking to speak with managers.

CenturyLink Fix the internet right with no more bull and lies about it.

Last month I had called to have to get a new modem because I was told it needed to be changed. That second week I was to get a modem to wait two days never came so I called oh it want t even ordered. Excuse me well we will order it today it should arrive overnight. The next time waited and didn't get it again so again I called this time talked to a supervisor they claimed that they would send it. Again I was lied to finally it came tried it would not work so I called them to come to find out it was bad. So they had to send me another one tried it called them and got hung up on had to call back to be told that was a bad one two. Well, then I get number three and called because again the same she then finally said oh the modem is bad and a line coming into your house has something going on will send a technician out on March the 16th. Then a couple of hours later I got a call that the ticket was closed and no one was coming. I called that night and thought I had it fixed. The next morning they closed it again. I called and said what are you doing I needed someone to come out here to fix this problem. Oh well, we can't help you till tomorrow 8-5 again another day gone due to them. Well, I was afraid I was lied to again and I was after 6 a clock I called and was told I had to 7:30 for them to show. I said I don't think so because they don't work out here at 7:30. Well just wait and see well 8:00 came and guess who was closed and no one showed up. I asked where was the person. They didn't come? I said no. So I am so sick of the lies and BS they do if I had someone else I could go to I would but we have no other provider where I live. I have been with this company for four and a half years and this seems to happen all the time I am so tired of it. Last year I had to beg and plead for someone to come out to fix it... it took six months to get help. Found out lighting had run in and blown out the fuse. I am sick of paying for a service that doesn't work oh they always say it is good on their end but it's not on the one who is paying the bill. I have already sent a complaint to FCC and this is the second one to BBB. Next, I will be talking to a lawyer about what I can legally do until they fix it. Here in Virginia if a company does this it can go into an escrow account at the courthouse until they fix it. That will be next to the lawyer I am tired of it.

CenturyLink Slow, intermittent and internet disconnect on regular basis

I get service (spotty) in Searchlight, Nevada. (89046) This is a common event. wiring despite numerous service visits, including upgraded modem, wiring checks, etc. I will be compelled to file a complaint with FCC since CenturyLink does not fix problems.. My e-mail is [protected]@hotmail.com

Los of service occurs almost every day and at different times and interruptions are random but regular

CenturyLink Return of Internet Modem

I have had Centurylink for approx 5 yrs. In those 5 yrs I have had to call them quite a few times to come out and fix the internet. This last time it took a week for someone to get out and in return put my business at risk. None of the representatives seemed empathetic to what was happening and in fact seemed bothered by my telephone calls to have this escalated to fix my internet. I finally decided to go with another provider. I am trying to return the modem (I was warned by previous customers that Centurylink would lie and say that I would receive an email with a return label, and not get one.) Sure enough, when I asked the representative how would I receive a return label, the representative did say I would get an email with a label attached. Well, No email. Luckily, a former customer showed me where to go and retrieve a label so I may return the modem I no longer need. It seems as if Centurylink purposely wants to charge a former customer a $200.00 fee for not returning their equipment. One more thing, Centurylink was super quick in canceling my internet service, almost immediately. It would be nice if Centurylink was that quick in fixing it. I feel this is predatory and very malicious business practices.

Desired outcome: Please send me the email with the label to return the modem. Please send any other customer who wishes to return equipment an email with the return label and be truthful about it.

CenturyLink Phone service

No phone service for 6 going on7 weeks made 3 appointment 3 repairman showed up found the problem done nothing then left t called on the phone put me on hold for an hour then hung up on me called again an again several times same thing put on hold for half hour talk to a rep transform to another rep put me on hold for an hour Robert srebbins

CenturyLink orange cable on white house irrigation system destroyed

CenturyLink came out 3 times to install a cable from the front of the house to the back of our neighbors control box

first our house is white and they ran a ugly orange cable stapled across the complete side of our house

then ran it on the ground to our irrigation pump

then they dug a hole in the ground to the back wall digging up our complete right side of our irrigation pump

now when our pump is turned on water blows up from the hole they dig and nothing more

i have called numerous times asking for help and to my avail nothing is getting done

do i need to take these people to court

half of our lawn is dead

please help

CenturyLink Complaint

Century Link came to check our internet without informing my husband there would be a $95 charge to come in the house. I did not have enough money to pay the $195 bill so I paid $150. The next months bill was almost the same. They charged me a $32 late fee. I have been a loyal customer for years and I feel I have been treated unfairly. The billing cycle is awful too. It always falls on a different day. Sometimes it's the first, next month it might be the fourth. I get paid once a month on the last day.

Desired outcome: They need to plainly state there will be a fee to come in the house to whom ever they tell and put in big bold letters about late fees. They also need to have the billing date on the same day each month.

CenturyLink Centurylink internet service

I have had no internet service for 8 weeks. After over 10 hours of phone calls, in which they hung up many times so I had to call back, they fi ally sent out a technician. He discovered it is the buried cable between there box and our house. He scheduled another tech to come out and bury a new cable. He has been a no show. How do I actually get my internet fixed? They are arguing about refunding my money back for no service. I am at a loss as what to do anymore.

CenturyLink Phone service and internet service

The service box at the end of our road is 30 plus years old. I tried going to buildings in our local town and they are locked up with signs telling you to call 1800 numbers. Then you talk to people you cant under stand. I think Mr Storey should be fired for the way he is running this company. We need new equipment because we have no cell service here. In case of emergencies when we have no service we have no way to communicate for help. Mr. Storey spend a little money on your residential home service instead of just cell phone service. We pay money too for the half [censored] service we receive I hope I receive a response but I wont hold my breath.

CenturyLink Technician never comes and they keep closing the repair tickets

I setup new internet and phone service for one of our new houses in Ravensdale, WA and on the day of activation, the internet worked fine, but we had no dial tone. We went through the troubleshooting instructions multiple times and they ran several line tests, coming to the conclusion that there was something wrong with the line and a technician needed to be dispatched. I have now taken three full days off of work because they give you an 8 hour window of when the technician will come and for the THIRD TIME, no technician shows up and the repair ticket is magically CLOSED. After the second time of a no show, I even called again and spoke with someone else to confirm that they would in fact be sending someone and Nope, no technician comes. We've run the line tests again, just in case they fixed it and we still have no dial tone! This is maddening! I don't have time to continue wasting on a freaking technician not showing up! I got an email the day before confirming that I would be there from 10:15am-6:15pm and got another email confirming I would be there the morning of the appointment, YET THEY CAN'T EVEN SHOW UP!
I now get to take a FOURTH day off to sit around twiddling my thumbs for them to likely No Show again based off of their AWFUL track record!
If anyone knows how to go up the chain to talk to a manager, please share because I am done!
