We don't know much about how Vons handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. Vons Bulling

It"s mostly about the store empolyees. They purposely ring me inwhich I hav e to wait my turn again, bag groceries and make the bags very heavy, make you wait for long periods of time for service in Customer Service Area, rude raising their vocies, take other customers first eventho I was standing at the counter first.

Just for U tag on merchandise but not in COUPONS and DEALS. Have to take a photo and show to cashier who complains about it making it look like its my FAULT, wants me to load it to my card. WHAT! HEY NUCKLEHEAD IF YOUR COMPANY TOOK OFF THE TAG OR HAD THAT ITEM ON THE JUST 4 YOU I WOULDN'T TAKE A PHOTO OF IT.

Vons Lack of customer service by floral department

Hello,

I am writing to you about an experience I had at your store in Temescal valley ca.

I needed a floral arrangement and knowing that Vons has good floral departments I stopped at your store at 11800 De Palma rd. to get a nice floral arrangement. I walked in, picked out what I wanted and went to the floral counter. I saw 2 people blowing up balloons and the produce clerk that was back there asked me if I needed help. I said "Yes, I need a box for my arrangement and I need to be rung up please" He found me a box and I said "can she ring me up?" He said "No, we are busy doing balloons"

Imagine my shock when he said this. I walked up front to the self checkout and the very nice woman (short hair, with glasses) helped me ring up my item since the tag was wrinkled. She noticed I wasn't happy and asked if everything was alright. I said no and proceeded to tell her what they said in floral. She was shocked and apologized. I said thank you and told her how much I missed the customer service program.

Vons Tuna fish packed in water

30 years ago I purchased a can of signature tune packed in water. My boyfriend at that time is and was allergic to Peas, lentils and hummus. I made him a sandwich with your tuna and he went into Anaphylaxis shock. lucky a nurse was close by and administered an eppy pen and he came out of his shock. I spoke to the store manager and he apologized. He said the tuna water must have been used to soak peas before they canned the tuna.

Since then when I do purchase signature tuna or any tuna for that matter I always check to make sure nothing else is thrown in there. I got comfortable after awhile not seeing anything that may harm my now husband.

Yesterday I went to my local Vons and purchased yet another can of Tuna packed in water. I did not check the ingredients since I trusted this would be ok. I made my husband a sandwich and once again he went into Anaphylasix shock. Luckily it was a light dose of "vegetable broth" that you accompanied into the tuna. The label clearly states Tuna packed in water and not VEGTABLE BROTH!.

Claimed loss: My trust in your products. Please apologize

Vons Security guard

Your security guard ran out of the store in ran up to me Yelling at me what you gonna do what you gonna do when you're going to shoot me with occasionally you gotta do all this a little bit. You're a big bad man, huh he scared the s*** out of me Do anything to him? I don't know what the f*** y** just wanted to do. All I know is that he should not work for you. Because I will be suing you guys if he still has a job That's bullying that's discrimination I don't know but it's aasult It's something I'm calling you attorney tomorrow. If you still have a job best, believe me, you'll be hearing from me. This happened from 9-10pm This is how you treat paying customers. I well not be shopping at your store. And i'm a fellow merchandiser slash auditor And if they get me one of your stores I'm giving you a bad review, sorry.

Vons - Inconsistent customer service

Why is it so difficult for so many employees at the Vons store in San Luis Obispo to say "hello" and "thank you". Service at that store is so inconsistent. The remodel is wonderful but I prefer shopping a other grocery stores in town because of their consistently good customer service. Vons Employee's behavior

Agoura Hills Vons on Jan-8 there was an incident between one of the employees and myself.

I have talked with the manager that would only agreed to provide the first name of the employee claiming he is not allowed to do so.

I wrote a letter to Vons complaints department providing all the info and heard nothing from them.

I went to the store and that employee still works there!

after couple more weeks I wrote another letter and asked to confirm receiving my letter and again didn't get anything back from them.

just nothing! what's going on?!?

Desired outcome: That employee should not be working with customers, I'm sure I'm not the only customer who was yelled at by her.Vons should select more carefully who the hire if they care about their customers at all.

Vons Won't let me choose what credit info or Paypal to use.

I have been trying to use Von's online shopping for over a week and a half.

Now I can't even sign in. I am 81 years old and I am recovering by right hip surgery and am no driving. I do online shopping. Since I have had this problem

Von's, I have been doing my shopping with Ralph's and Costco with no problem.

What can I do about this? Customer Service has not be able to help me.

Everytime I call, I speak with a different person and have to repeat my problem all over again. Has something to with that I have two accounts. Please help me!

Desired outcome: I want to be able to shop at Von's without having not to be able to use onlline shopping

Vons Chicken wings / meat department

01/19/24 - Before i went to Vons on Avenue L in Lancaster, CA, i called first. First call is at 1:16 PM i chose Customer Service. The phone rang for 1 minute but no amswer. I called again at 1:17 PM and chose the Meat Dept. I asked the guy who answered if they have the 4-5 lbs bag of Uncooked Chicken Wings $5 Special since it’s a Friday. The guy said “Let me check”. When he came back he said “Yes, we do”. I said “The 4-5 lbs bag of uncooked chicken wings right?” He said “es, that’s right.” So i went and when i got there, i saw a big sign that says “5 each if you buy 4 or more. where the uncooked chicken wings are. So i grabbed 4 bags. Then i went to self checkout. When i scanned the 4 bags it did not give a discount. The price was $9.99 each. So i asked the lady at the self checkout to help me out. I told her that i called first and talked to someone from the meat dept and the guy said they have it. She went to the meat dept to check the price. She came back to me and said “It’s not part of the special.” So we both went to the meat dept to check. She said..”The special is on the other side of the sign.” So i told her “Then why is the sign facing this way when the special os on that side?” She just kept saying “This side is not part of the special.” Then a guy from the meat dept came over with vons weekly ad. He said “There may be a confusion. And he was pointing to the cooked $4 chicken drumstick special. I told him “No, that’s not what i asked the guy i sooke to said. I specifically asked him for the 4/5 lbs of uncooked chcken wings.” So the lady said if i want to talk to tge manager. I said “Yes, please.” So she looked for her and said that she’ll be right over. I waited probably 10 mins for the manager. When she came i told her what happened and i said “ If he said no we don’t have it, i wouldn’t have come here. I lived far away from this Vons.” She said “Yeah, the wings are not part of the special.” I told her “You can see the confusion here right? Coz the sign is on the side where the chicken wings are but the real special is on the other side.” (we were infront of the sign) She did not answer me and said “I spoke to the meat dept and they said they did not spoke to you or anyone on the phone today. I told her “That’s a lie. When i first called i chose option 8 for Customer Service but there was no amswer. Then i called again and chose option 8 for the meat dept and i spole to a guy.” She the said “i don’t know the options.” (In my mind i’m like “you are the manager and you don’t know that options to choose when someone calls your store?”) So i showed her my phone and there was 2 calls on their vons location number. She said “I can give you 1 bag for $5 but not all 4 bags for $5 each I told her “That’s okay coz the only reason i got 4 is because it said $5 if you get 4 or more.” So when we were walking the register, i told her “You should check your people out coz they are liars. I showed you that i called 2 times.” She said “Well they said they did not spoke to you.” So i told her, “I showed you my proof that i called.” She went quiet. I paod for the item and left.

Desired outcome: Those people at the meat dept should be reprimanded coz i have proof that i called and they said they did not talk to me. There are only 2 people in the meat dept when i called..so it’s one of them that i spoke to.

Vons Associate - Vince - eyeglass/tall

On 12/9 I stopped by to ask Flu Shot.

My bag was full because I shopped other stores & purchased some sushi. I covered my bag with Vons Flyers to avoid direct Sun on sushi the way back home. After asking about Flu Shot I passed one of open register. Vince approached me ‘why u covered?” Then asked me what is this pointing the sushi. Then Vince asked security to ask sushi man making sure it is not Vons. Found out it was not.. what is all this.. all customers presumed to be thief’s? This is outrageous/. His behavior was so threatening.. He didn’t apologize..

I am CA lawyer. There is possibly defamation/ false imprisonment issue.

I called store manager on 12/11 Robert.

Pls re-evaluate Vince.

Vons Management service

I have never seen a more disrespectful store director. I had an employee helping me and not only did the store director not properly pull him aside to converse with him about his personal issues; they started yelling at them in front of employees and customers about their personal business. I found that highly rude and disrespectful for a director of all people to be doing in public at a store. The employee didn’t even finish helping me cause I could see they were visibly distraught and embarrassed at the confrontation. I really hope that Vons reaches out because that was the worst thing I have seen from a person in charge and it highly discouraged me from coming back to this location.

Desired outcome: Possibly reach out and take care of the director. They show a total abuse of power; seems very emotion based in terms of treatment of employees.

Vons Self checkout front desk

Date 11/23/2023 at 10:53am I paid my merchandise at the self checkout. I was walking out when I almost slipped and I stopped and looked down and a clear plastic bag on the floor under my foot. Three of your employees standing right in front of where the bag was not one of them picked it up and try to make your a safe place to walk. You have three irresponsible employees who will not make your store safe and free from hazards like if they wanted me to slip and fall on purpose. I would like to shop in a safe and Hazzard free store where I don't have to be worried about danger.

Desired outcome: Please discipline your employees. Train your employees to keep a safe store for customers.

Vons Grocery baggers

I was recently at Vons, Santee, Ca. I specifically placed my items in frozen, cold, fragile and heavy order. I gave an insulated bag for my cold and frozen items. When I was putting the items in my car I noticed that none of my cold or frozen items were in my insulated bag. They were dispersed among my regular groceries. My pot pies were crushed by heavy bottle items. My large iced tea bottles (4) and a bottle of rubbing alcohol was in my insulated bag. I am elderly and could not lift half the bags without dispersing the groceries in other bags.

I think it would be wise to have an employee meeting especially the baggers to inform them of how to bag groceries properly. Also, to notice if the customer is elderly. I have been a customer since the store first opened in Santee.

Vons Very poor service attitude towards a loyal customer by one of the assistant managers ! ers ! ers

My wife and I went to the VONS store 2131 on wednesday,10-11-2023 to pick up some lottery tickets at around 6:40 PM. The assistant manager on duty was not happy to see us, and she (I think her name is Jennefer) was shouting at me that I have to wait for her to check out several customers first with a new chexk-out lane. My wife and I were embarrassed by her rude attitude in the store full of customers.
She has been rude before, but this is the worst.

Desired outcome: I think VONS owe the public to have managers who are trained and performin a professional manner.

Vons Racial profiling at the Vons at 3rd and Vermont

To whom it may concern hopefully management, I have been a loyal customer at the Vons at 3rd and Vermont store consistently for the last four years since moving to LA. I shop twice or more times per week at this store. I spend 80% or more of my grocery budget at Vons. Recently I have noticed that I have become a subject of racial profiling while shopping. Once or twice maybe people being vigilant, but the fact it’s happening on a consistent basis is not acceptable. Other than my race and the color of my skin, why is it find that your employees and security workers tend to follow me. I have done an informal survey of other people of color who lives in my building about this issue, just to make sure I am not being sensitive.

They have also noted this increase scrutiny. I don’t think this is fair and balanced. I should not be made to feel this way. I understand we live in a racially charged society, but no one of any ethnic group should be targeted and made to feel uncomfortable while shopping for necessary necessities. seem to be targeting African American I understand that shoplifting has been highlighted in the news but that doesn't make a person of color a criminal by association. I am reaching out so that management will train their personnel better or change the culture that engender this kind of harassment. I am not sure what recourse is open to me, but I find this unacceptable and deeming. Please stop treating me like a criminal because of the color of my skin.

Vons Store #2176 4.39pm cashier Miksyla Digital coupons not working And customer service was outrageous

I went to Store #2176 on Chapman in Garden Grove CA at 4.39pm the cashier Miksyla.

I had the checker scan my QR member code. I have the following issue just about every time I use the digital coupons. It might be everytime as I don't always catch it

I noticed right away that one of the digital coupons didn't come off. So checker refunded and rerung them using my QR.

At home I realized that none of the coupons worked. I was cheated out of $23.13. I went back to the store with a spreadsheet & requested the person in charge. They didn't want to but finally called Steve. Steve was in a bad mood shut me down & told me he wouldn't give me a refund as he didn't know if the coupons were clipped at time of sale. In other words, nastily calling me a bold-faced liar. I asked his name and he said he was Steve and then I asked his position and he said checker that he was not the PIC

I’m very upset on how I was treated. I’ve worked in this field and never would I have treated a customer so nastily.

Desired outcome: I want you to give me $23.13 money owed from the coupons. And I want Steve to be at least be retrained on how to treat customers. If I treated a customer as he did. I would have gotten a verbal if not a writeup.

Vons Karen, a checker at Vons Store 228, Montrose, CA 91020

On 9/22/23 arount 3 pm I pirchased a pork loin that was on sale for $4.99 a pound for members. When I was in the meat section I asked the butcher, who was putting out meat, if the pork loin I showed him was on sale. He said it was. I also asked him if they would give me the sale price at the register as it wasn't listed on the label. He said they would. When I checked out, I saw I was being charged the full price of the item, not the sale price. I pointed it out to the checker, Karen, who said it wasn't on sale and that there was no price tag that showed the sale price. I said I talked to the butcher and he said it was on sale. She went off to check with him. About 7 or 8 minutes later she came back and said the butcher said he didn't tell me that! Of course he did, and that I should have told her I didn't have a digital coupon (the item was on sale for $4.99 for members and $3.97 with a digital coupon) and that I should learn how to get one - basically calling me a liar even tho I had checked with the butcher to ensure I had the right item and he said I did. She grudgingly gave me the price of $4.99 a lb. One thing i should point out about this store is that it doesn't give you the digital price (neither my husband nor I have figured out how to download the coupons) whereas our local Ralph's does give us the digital sale price when we ask for it. Very rude service and I'll hesitate to do any further shopping at that store.

Desired outcome: This checker should be given a lesson in manners and the butcher should be taken to task for his lie.

Vons Management/coupons

I took the time out of my day on monday, sept 11thand have heard nothing.. I have shopped at the torrance store for 20 plus years, just about every fri of every week. I am seriously questioning my consumer dedication!, I am looking at the results on your website and reading the ratings which gives me a clue as to no response!. I have personally worked in customer service for over 35yrs and I am apalled at the attitude and ugliness I have received from a certain manager, on more than one occasion, when I have a question or situation. Thie ncident occurred on fri, sept 8 at store 3517.. The time on my receipt is 18:59. I am a justforu member and review the ads and clip able coupons weekly. My cashier that evening was monica. Shes always sweet and, helpful and attentive, id like that to be recognized. I left the store with my groceries, loaded them into my truck. As I reveiwed my receipt I realized that I did not received some of the deals that I had downloaded.. I went back into the store.. My cashier, monica apologized for the inconvience and took me to the manager.. She helped me to explain what had happened. The manager proceeded to tell me that I had to bring all my groceries back in and prove that I had downloaded the proper discounts.. M sorry, that is just plain rude!.. I had receipt in hand, had just left the store! Told her that, that was ridiculous and she told me, take it up with upper management.. I walked away with monica and she told me that it might be in my best interest to contact you..According to my calculation, I am out about $15 and the unfavorable treatment speaks for itself.. Chose to write this complaint, rather than call, so that I can make sure all the facts are included.. Thank you for your time

Vons Cashier

9/16/23

On Friday 9/15/23, I went shopping at my local Vons Store #2033

4500 Coffee Road, Bakersfield California.

I was shopping getting my Just 4 U items and trying to "clip" items from app

on my phone. I couldn't get an item to accept, so this nice person Jennifer seen me in the isle with my ad trying to get it to work, she stopped and tried to get the item to clip on the app., we couldn't get it, so I continued on shopping and usually the cashier's help with this , I also carry the ad to help. Upon arriving to the cashier Cheryl, I asked her for help for the item I was trying to clip would not work. I showed her the ad, and she kept ringing up my items, I had 7 total . She didn't have the patience for my phone and trying to clip the coupon for the phone app. She gave me the total and I asked if I received the discount for the item and she said no, it wasn't working. Then she proceeded to tell me that I should do this at my house before I come to store. Then she voided my items one by one and said "I don't have time for this", (her line was getting longer) and she sent me to customer service to have my items rang out there. I was patient and I was in no hurry, so I went to customer service I was met by Tessa, a very nice person, she rang up my items, pulled out her calculator and gave me my discount, the app was not taking the clipped coupon. My visit was pleasant with Jennifer and Tessa. I don't understand why Cheryl did not have time to help with the discounted clipped item.

Desired outcome: Maybe have Cheryl learn the app on the Just 4 U, and not be so rude as to putting customer (me) to customer service.
