Verizon salesperson from website phone number said if I upgraded to 50/50 internet and orded triple play they would give me a 300 dollar gift card to help defray the cost of switching from Directv. After installation they said there was no notes on my account about a gift card and I didn't qualify. THIS IS KNOW AS A BAIT AND SWITCH AND ITS ILLEGAL VERIZON!!! I HAVE REPORTED YOU TO THE BBB AND I AM USING THIS TO WARN OTHERS ABOUT YOUR SLIMY BUSINESS PRACTICES. BEWARE THEY LIE AND THEY DONT GIVE YOU WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL....

Verizon FIOS - Early termination fee

I had bundled service with Verizon for several years. While under contract, I moved to an area where they did not offer service. I was told, and have been billed for a $200 cancellation fee! I was told that even though they do not offer service in the area where I moved, I still breached my contract and will be charged a fee. This is fraud, in my opinion. Think how much money they make in charging these fees. Has anyone had a similar experience? Does anyone know of a class action lawsuit against Verizon in this regard? Thank you....

Verizon FIOS - ETF and no Gift card

My husband and I have Fios for almost a year now. We called because we moved and wanted to transfer services. According to their website when I typed in our zip code they service the area. I called 05/31/14 and was told they do not service the area and we would have to pay an ETF of $140 for cancelling. I explained we are happy with them and they cannot service us so why are we paying a fee? I spoke to about 5 different people and left messages and awaited calls just to be treated poorly and told "theres nothing we can do". I told them I would be posting on every social media and forum...

Verizon FIOS - $300 visa card for FiOS scam

Happens once, shame on them - happens twice, shame on us.


We have been duped for the second time by Verizon & this time they will not do anything for us.

The $300 gift card is a scam. The person who set us up said the card would be there within two months. It never came and they gave us a BS story of how it is not noted in the setup notes...

Even though they send weekly offers for months in the mail for that $300 gift card if you switch, we did not switch until we got a personal letter.

Three months after a super pain in the butt...

I received a flyer from Verizon that promised "up to $400 Visa Gift Card" when I sign up for Verizon FIOS last year and I called to take advantage of the offer in December. Upon speaking to a representative and choosing the package that works for me, she made me understand that my package (which contained the 50mbps internet) only qualified me for a $300 gift card. I reluctantly accepted and signed up for a 2 year contract. In the same call where I was read the contract terms, the agent affirmed that i will be getting my card after around 90 days.

Will this even do anything?

Back in 2011 I dropped using Verizon FIOS due to various reason which include poor customer support.
I paid my final bill and was sent a refund check because I overpaid them.
Not long later I get mail from collections saying that I owe them close to $100
I called Verizon and it took 3 days of back and forth banter and several transfers until I got a customer service agent that was worth anything. She told me that it was a mistake on their part and to call the Collection Agency and have them send it back because it was a mistake.

For about 6 months I have been calling tech support at Verizon to deal with a pixillating, stopping and starting screens on my TV. I have twice, under their recommendation changed the set top box, I even bought a brand new TV. Lastly, they came and replaced a cable. Today I had the same problem, plus a notice to activate a cable card. I had never done that before in over 4 years with Verizon. When we moved we took Verizon food with us. We were so happy they told us it will cost nothing. It only took 2 weeks for them to show up! Thefield worker told us he had to run new wire. He said it was no charge. Well when we received our bill I hit the floor $475!!! They charged us installation charges and $70 for each new wire. Thought there was no charges/??? My mother is 86 years old, lives with her 90 year old husband in Chester Springs, PA. They have been without a phone for almost a week and can’t get it fixed. Verizon has put her and myself on hold for hours at a time only to tell us they will have a technician out tomorrow and no one shows. Or they show and claim the problem isn’t theirs. I have been going through High Tech hell with Verizon. All my services turn off at will. They told me to unplug my TV when it freezes up ALOT. Ky Internet stops working and my phone shuts off. The DVRs never work the way they are suppose to. I have called dozens of times, had techs here changing everything including outside box. Now its worse. On May 22, 2012 I had switched over (bundled) to phone, internet and 4 TV' s. The Verizon installer could not get my remote to work the set top box. After ~ 3 weeks, I called and a new set top box was sent out. This did not fix the problem. Calling back, I was told, a tech will NOT be sent out for this problem. Verizon knows this is a common problem and will mail a RX cable. READY FOR THIS...for the other TV"S...its $9.99/each!!! Way to NOT GO Verizon. DO NOT GET HOOKED UP WITH THSE PEOPLE...WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE....

I am writing this for my neighbor, the elderly woman, her phone line provided by Verizon Fios is not working at all, we try to call the Verizon to ask them to send someone to help her but they refused, they try to walk us thru the process of repairing the phone line but none of us could do and therefore her phone is not working ! Verizon FIOS - Connectivity is awful

I have had an unacceptable experience with FIOS connectivity. I am not happy at all with services that have been promised. The salesperson made all sorts of promises - none of which have been delivered upon. Access is so bad I need to use my hotspot to get on line (including now). Speed test services have not been accessable and Google has timed out repeatedly.

I have been on hold on more than one occassion for over an hour waiting for tech support.

This service is unusable. I am very unhappy that I stopped using Comcast.

A month ago or so I started to notice the youtube video clips started to hang. Initially I thought I had some bug doing crap on my laptop and paid no attention. After vacation I started to look into any spyware i may had running. Found nothing. So this week my calls to verizon started. Monday at 1AM I talked with a guy in india (you know the reputation). Years ago, I had Verizon Fios Triple Play. Things would stop working for no reason, and every time I called, they could never find my account in their system without a 15min run around. I could never get them to fix why my number wouldn’t pull up my account (had to search by address or ssn, which had a 50/50 chance of pulling up my account), and after awhile I got sick of dealing with them and went to comcast (an equally bad service, who could at least find my account when I called every month when it stopped working).

I have been an excellent customer to Verizon for about 10 years. I have always paid my bills on time never being late. I recently moved and had Fios, TV, Phone, Wireless relocated to my new address. When I was solicited by Brenda about the service I was lied to. Judy Lubbert said she was going to resolve and help me but has not to date. I have called 15-20 times and have not had my issues resolved.
