United States Postal Service [USPS] USPS Click-n-Ship is a programming joke

Who designed the USPS Click-n-Ship app? It's a horrible time-wasting piece of garbage. Constant errors often over something as simple as entering tomorrow's date for shipping. And the amount of clicks, fields to enter and other time-wasting steps have convinced me that it's a HUGE time saver to just take my package to the local USPS office. Time to fire the IT staff and hire some IT folks who understand the user experience and understand that QA testing is a MUST DO!

United States Postal Service [USPS] Delivery of certified mail with return receipt

On September 1, 2023, a certified letter was mailed to Robert J. Rodriguez [protected] (certified mail number) and is still in limbo. Here's the response from Service Request Number [protected] [ ref:_00Dj0GyYH._500BY1KFds:ref ] , you must submit a claim to Mail Recovery Center. The MRC is the Postal Service’s “lost and found” department, serving a vital customer service role by processing undeliverable and lost items. The MRC receives items deemed “undeliverable” from Postal Service facilities throughout the country, including post offices, delivery units, and distribution centers. These items may be designated as undeliverable because of incomplete addresses, damaged mailing labels, etc.

Claimed loss: $1000

Desired outcome: Compensation for lack of service and impeding my ability to contract. I would like a refund and remailing for consideration.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Service

Every time they raise prices, the more that customer service is dissolved. And there isn't much left of it as it is! They REFUSE to deliver to anybodys door anymore. The USPS drivers have been seen DUMPING PACKAGES ON SIDEWALKS AND THEN SPEEDING AWAY. They park in RED FIRE LANES, which are CLEARLY MARKED "FIRE LANE NO PARKING"! They park blocking peoples vehicles and the roads.

And the little mail that ACTUALLY makes it into peoples mailboxes in my area is somebody ELSES mail! The retards they hire are ILLITERATE! I stopped at a full service USPS office in Carrollton, Tx once to mail a small package to a friend in Canada. When I got up to the window, the retard behind the counter literally told me "We don't do that here"!

Turned around and left. Went to FedEx, and have been using Fedex for everything since. They need to be BANNED from ever raising prices again since they are WORTHLESS, until they start producing like they are supposed to, along with ACTUAL customer service!

United States Postal Service [USPS] Business mail not delivered/

I have not received my business mail from USPS since 2011. I live in Upstate, NY and I have a regular P.O. Box for business, and I only receive business government mail. The same happened in Manhattan, NYC. This has been going on since 2011. I received just 2 regular business mailings in all those years. Twice, I saw an unidentified van taking a lot of mail from the local post office in crates. I emailed USPS over the years several times on their complaints system, no answer. I am also unsure if I receive all of my personal mail. In NYC, around 2014 or 2015 a relative sent me a package, but I did not know, I happened to call the relative who asked if I received the package, and I had not. I went to the post office and it was there, but the postal worker had not put a note in my mailbox that I had a package.

USPS should be investigated.

Desired outcome: I want my business mail, my mail.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Creating shipping label

I just wasted 2 hours trying to create and pay for a shipping label. To start the website is hacked with pop ups. One is a, your computer is locked out" scam

Had to deal with that twice. When I was finished entering all the, what I thought is, necessary info, it would provide the cost. I kept clicking the refresh button and nothing changed. I tried editing services. Still no change, no cost therefore nothing in cart. After the second the lockout,I gave up.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Parcel Forwarding with USPS

On August 16, Vyking Ship consolidated two packages containing various valuables items and shipped them by USPS Priority Mail International. The consolidation, handling and shipping totaled more than 730 USD.

Not only I had very limited means of controlling the total shipping costs, only one package was received. The second is still missing at this day (after 25+ business days) and nobody at Vyking Ship can provide me a clear explanation as to why this package is missing. The latter includes more than 5000 USD of goods and merchandises, some of which cannot be easily replaced.

The Vyking Ship Custom Service is most of the time very unhelpful. Some staff members have a bad, condescending attitude and seem to not care at all about the outcome of your forwarding and shipping experience. As soon as you ship, there is no accountability at all, and they will hide behind their terms of services to shift all responsibility on the carrier, no matter what happens.

Desired outcome: I have paid for a forwarding service, and therefore expect to receive my package with all the included goods. OR get a full refund totaling the values of the consolidation goods, including the shipping and consolidations costs.

United States Postal Service [USPS] misrouted packages

I live in Reardan, WA 99029 and several times I had packages sent to the Wilbur, WA post office 99185. I have paid extra for expedited delivery only to have them delayed two days due to this problem. Ironically my packages pass right by the Reardan post office on the way to Wilbur and again when they are routed back to Spokane WA to be rerouted to Reardan. I can understand this happening once but not routinely. I would appreciate someone looking into this and correcting as it has caused me some problems.

Thank You!

Robert Mulhern

Desired outcome: Fix problem

United States Postal Service [USPS] Customer service and service to community

1/25/23 Received opened (perforated tabs opened) and unsecured mail with personal information. First step was to contact FCC to follow advice and take opened mail to local rural PO in George West, Texas and file complaint and get a case number. On 1/24/23, After speaking with a nice clerk who said there wasn’t anything to be done, I asked to speak to the PM “Miranda,” who shouting at the poor clerk there was nothing he could do nor was it his problem. Upon return of obviously frazzled clerk (what an environment to work in), she repeated what we heard him shout at her. To the clerk, in hoping Miranda would here, I read the next steps recommended by the FTC, to which the PM deigned to leave his office obviously spoiling for debate. He walked us over to next window and was extremely, rude, laughing at our concerns about the opened mail, which security perforations could not have been torn of inside and out during sorting by machine. I asked why there wasn’t a damaged stamp or why the mail wasn’t placed in a secure sealed envelope, as it contained sensitive information. Miranda’s reply was to laugh and stand intimidatingly over us with a sardonic smile and said bc he doesn’t have to. It’s not his problem, which he repeated over and over. He refused to inspect the article of mail we brought in. I asked about his employment as a federal employee and his duty to serve tax payers, to which he laughed (kinda crazily), our taxes do not fund his position. Okay, so that is true, sales of stamps and services. He laughed more, all the while escalating his tone and visible hostility and told me to do my research. I stated regardless, hasn't he a duty in his capacity to ensure properly and securely delivered mail. He said, and I quote, “I don’t owe you anything.” I replied, you don’t owe us our this community to do your job?”, to which he laughed sarcastically again. I took notes and pulled out a list of the recommendations made by FTC identity theft hotline. and informed him of our next stop to police department. He laughed again, never once looking at the piece of opened mail, and I asked so what is to be done on your end? W Miranda (PM) said I needed to call and file complaint w/ the usps and then he would look into it. I stated that I called and left him a message on 12/21/22 to return our call bc mail was not getting picked up, which he never returned and W Miranda stated he never got a message (which the postal clerk assured she gave him). The situation was left unresolved with Miranda stating yet again it’s not his problem and to do my research. Never once was there an explanation, advice (other than to call usps), suggestions on how to better handle these types of occurrences. He simply hulked away after speaking very horribly, disrespectfully, and over the voice of the elderly addressee of mail.

I have never encountered such hostility and aggressiveness, particularly when seeking help. In following steps recommended by FTC, we found out through various local and fed gov entities, they too have experienced similar issues and concerns with PM Miranda; one entity described him as “unstable.”

I have filed complaints with USPS, however, have not received any resolution or explanation regarding Miranda’s behavior.

I feel sorry for those poor people who must work with this postmaster for what feels like a very hostile work environment and I feel even worse for this community comprised of a majority of elderly people, whom without someone willing to speak up for them, may likely be bullied or ignored by PM W Miranda, as he tried to do with us and others who shared our concerns.

W Miranda needs sensitivity and customer service reeducation.?

Desired outcome: PM Miranda needs retraining on proper decorum and customer service and should have a professional development plan placed in his employee record to ensure all citizens of this community are treated respectfully, equitably, and civilly.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Package sent to Omaha is in Seattle.

Tracking # [protected] 17

Mailed from Tulsa Oklahoma 74134 to Omaha Nebraska 68104 on January 27,2023. Ended up in Seattle Washington and moves between several local post offices and the Seattle distribution center. After multiple attempts to call the customer service center, on line filing of mis sent mail, I finally got to speak to an agent after one hour on hold. She said they would escalate the search. So far, the package has been scanned 20 times from 3 post office locations in the Seattle area. As of today February 2,2023 it has left zip code 98107 again going to unknown location again. No one seems to be willing or capable of solving this problem. The package is insured but I can’t file a claim because the package is continually being scanned and sent.

Desired outcome: Deliver the package to addressee.

United States Postal Service [USPS] As a “paying” customer this post office et Al needs to be held accountable!

2/14/22 Started calling Mandeville, LA PO regarding wrong address delivery of a package to be delivered that day. Finally spoke to a live person, explained issue and was told the pkg would be retrieved from carrier. Later learned pkg was delivered anyway. Called again at 1:45 PM and discussed issue again! This time I was told, the carrier would be sent back to retrieve the pkg

It did NOT happen.

Started calling @ approximately 8:14 M, but after 32 calls and no one ever answered the phones (2 #’s tried) I contacted USPS customer care seeking help. I was told P Offices not answering phones was a common complaint!

Finally, called a neighboring PO & was told they could never get thru to this Mandeville office either and the problem was a management issue!

This is a government office, and consumers keep facing rising rates and terrible service!

United States Postal Service [USPS] Driver speeding in the Neighborhood

We live on a dirt road in Leon County that is not maintained by the County. The residents have to pay for the up keep on the road, and the mail carrier comes in every day at a high rate of speed and create ruts in front of mailboxes and beats out the road bouncing up and down. The residents have spent hundreds of dollars for dirt and rock gravel to keep the roads in drivable shape and everyone drives at slow speeds. If this action continues, we will be forced to call the law to be out here to take care of this issue.

Desired outcome: Slow the driver down and make them respect the neighborhood.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Failure of USPS to meet its universal service obligation to deliver mail 6 days a week

I live in Pine, Colorado and for many weeks I only get mail delivered about 2 days a week. This violated the universal service obligation. Because some of the mail is critical to me (I know what mail is sent to the local post office because I have informed delivery in the form of emails), this has cause some appointment changes because a critical part has not been delivered. To whom do I complain to get this resolved? The local post office does not care to resolve this. Do I solicit help from my congressperson?

Desired outcome: Mail delivered 6 days a week.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Package from international missing and kept unattended for over 10 days at New York Custom Post office (USPS)

Hi, I would like to file a complaint about my package to be delivered by the last week of October 2022 or prior through USPS and has still not been delivered yet. This is the 2nd time in a row within 10 years and I am having the same situation of my goods being destroyed / damaged and not being delivered on time, despite full money being charged. It is always kept unattended or for god knows what reason stuck at USPS New York Customs Office. They don't have courtesy to update the tracking information as well, making customers worried and run around for their laziness and lack of knowledge to work in the right department or work place. I would really need someone to please help me escalate this matter and provide me with the resolution for this complaint at the earliest convenience.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Throw away mail

Rather than forward my daughter's mail, they just threw it away. They threw away a package with limited edition merchandise that can not be replaced. They claim it was perishable but it was only a shirt and sweatshirt. They're either idiots or they stole it and there's not a damn thing we can do about it. This is breaking my kid's heart and they couldn't be bothered.

Desired outcome: Want my daughter's package back

United States Postal Service [USPS] Late delivery service

For the past 4 months or so, our mail has been delivered after 7:00pm. Additionally, it seems many times our Saturday delivery never takes place and then Monday night, our box is filled with mail that should have been delivered Saturday and Monday. Our Mail box is 500 feet from the house; we do not want to leave mail out there over night. This late delivery time is totally unacceptable.

We stopped at the Post Office and were told they have no set delivery schedule and no idea how many packages they will receive each day, sometimes more than 100 for each carrier, and since the morning truck arrives after 9 am, they are late getting out... Sorry, but packages and the USPS delivering for UPS, AMAZON and FED-EX is not and should not be a problem that affects my mail delivery!

Desired outcome: Mail delivered by 4:00pm; like it used to be. And FYI - 4:00pm is about 3 hours later then anywhere we have lived in the past 40 years.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Faulting Postal Customers for Imprecise Delivery Address When Online Businesses Are Not Following Address Data Protocol

Over several years, my household has been advised—now turning into undeserved admonishment—by my local small-town postmaster to include PO Box # with our orders for delivery. As much as I am grateful to my post office and all employees for their service – I have no other complaints – You need to communicate to ALL your sorting employees that...

PRESENTLY:

1) Businesses rarely indicate to the customer which delivery company (USPS/UPS/FEDEX, etc.) will deliver an item—of small or medium size—or where it will be delivered (physical or box address, unless it is something like lithium batteries that cannot be held at USPS postal box sites).

2) Some delivery companies/drivers—and this is critically important to the issue—will on any given day, ARBITRARILY determine whether they will deliver to our rural drive (as the vendor may have indicated to the customer) OR per time of day/scheduling/work load/employee driver whims/etc. drop it off at the local USPS office... with NO PO BOX INFO ON PACKAGE (!)

**Not the customer’s fault; please keep reading**

3) Many online shopping order sites (even some ‘big box’ stores) refuse to accept data field entry of “PO BOX” in ANY LOCATION ON THEIR FORM (including Line 2 of Address). Their “physical address” coding algorithms immediately red flag this as a conflict, EVEN IF THE CUSTOMER HAS ALSO INCLUDED THE PHYSICAL ADDRESS!

4) Many online shopping order sites will NOT PERMIT the entry of +4 Zip Code in an attempt by customer to (e.g., to assist new USPS employees) identify customer’s postal box.

5) Many online shopping order sites will have a pop-up box of approved/recognized” USPS addresses, e.g., for rural routes which includes neither PO BOX (as back-up delivery) nor option for +4 Zip Code. This appears on screen when the customer is typing in data fields and compels a selection after repeated re-entry struggle (!). When there is an option to “override,” there is no guarantee what the final address outcome on the label will be.

**Not the customer’s fault; please keep reading**

6) Some online shopping order sites will ostensibly accept the data entry of PO BOX and/or +4 Zip Code without error online but then... REMOVE IT ON THE LABEL OF THE DELIVERY TO THE CUSTOMER! [This is what occurred in my most recent incident.] Evidently, this results in much confusion and chagrin for the (new) local post office employee – not to mention – subsequently, the customer.

My humble request to the USPS: Please send a memo to your postmasters to stop admonishing (if they do happen to be) customers for not including full address, including PO Box with a rural physical address, when CLEARLY MANY VENDOR BUSINESSES ACROSS THE NATION AND BEYOND ARE NOT FOLLOWING YOUR PROTOCOLS.

Thank you.

Desired outcome: Clarify reality of delivery address ambiguities per issues outlined. Have software engineers improve vendors’ physical rural route/PO Box data-entry standard, ensuring packages reach destinations w/out confusion to mail sorters/customers.

Edit (2/8/23): Here's a recent example ordering online from BestBuy. I'm taking screenshots for my dossier ;-|

Try to enter a comma, then "PO..." in the only available address delivery field -- that's as far as you'll get before this pop-up alert: "(i) Note: If you ship to a PO BOX, it can take up to a week longer to receive your item than shipping to a residential or business address." . . . so I'll just put in a +4 Zip Code in the zip field, right? Wrong. That field will only accept five digits. So what exactly do the postmasters want me to do with the BOX? United States Postal Service [USPS] mail delivery

the mail carrier refuses to deliver our mail, saying the path is dangerous. This is entirely untrue. there are a few weeds, two or three inches tall, that she could just step on or step over. Moreover, if that was the situation, she could have told us to fix it first, two or three days before she abruptly decided to stop delivering the mail.

I contacted the post master. She said she came out here to look for herself, but she did not. I watched for her and waited but she never came. She then made an appointment with me to come out and look. I watched for her and waited but again she did not come. I called her and she told me she decided not to come because she had a look the first time (when she actually did not come). So she decided to stand me up without notice. So she came out again. She rang the bell and then walked away, even though I had told her (three times) that I am handicapped and move slowly. When I got to the door, she had walked away. I saw her walking down the sidewalk. I called to her from the doorway. She came back and then walked away, refusing to talk to me.

This problem did not have to happen, if everyone did her job, was truthful and acted according to her word.

United States Postal Service [USPS] Mishandled Ebay packages

Hello. Two items was showing delivered as Saturday 9/10/22. It didn't come that day even though the Postal Service was showing it delivered. Waited until today Monday 9/12/22 and still no package. The tracking numbers on the 2 packages were 9400108205497042973051 and 9449008205496041639045. They were showing delivered at 1:10 pm on 9/10/22. I have no idea where they were supposedly delivered. Thank you.

United States Postal Service [USPS] To be rehired

I was unfairly terminated from USPS after only five days of being employed.

At the time of my termination I was already off the schedule due to no work being available for me because I was new. So on the fifth day of my employment my car broke down in route to work so I had to call it in and 2 days later I received a letter in the mail saying I was separated from my employment.
