I went into Ulta in Gilbert store located at 2779 S Market St, Gilbert, AZ 85295.

There were 4 associates there & I specifically went to the brown woman asking for help due to me going to several stores around Arizona & everyone making me look orange. Well she dismisses me & proceeds to tell another associate what I just asked her for help for. I go with her & tell her exactly what I’m looking for & she dismisses me & goes to for foundation & translucent powder which I didn’t ask for. I tell her no thanks & go to the brown girl & tell her the reason I asked for her help is every person that has tried to help me always make me look orange. I have warm undertones ain’t nothing about me peachy about me. She then proceeds to help me. In the end she was very helpful & nice & got me exactly what I needed.

I shouldn’t have to get an attitude or be rude for someone to help me in one of your stores.

Please teach your associates customer service & how to match & service brown women because I shouldn’t have to go to over 10 locations just to get what I was looking for.

Ulta Beauty Service

Recently I visited the Ulta in Edgewater, NJ. I was able to buy the product I needed. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, there was one manager, a blonde woman, who was extremely condescending to the staff. I met this manager as well, she was snooty and quite tough with me - I'm a customer! I don't want to give this location of Ulta a bad review, but I feel it is important to know how a manager is treating staff as well as customers.

Ulta Beauty Manger

On November 16th 2023 at 5:30pm I went into Ulta to return some products that were given to me from a client. I am a hairstylist and get gifts all the time. I wanted to return the products for a in store credit. I explained the situation and provided my Washington State drivers license to the manager. The manager kept looking at my id and me and then she’s like your not 5”5 and handed me my id back and said she didn’t feel comfortable doing the return. She embarrassed me and made me feel so uncomfortable. What kind of customer service is that? That is like telling someone they are fat because their drivers license says they weigh this much!

Claimed loss: $150 in product

Desired outcome: Please provide me a refund with an extra dollar amount for the embarrassment!

Ulta Beauty The employees at the west Melbourne 205 palm bay rd.

Erin on cashier/reg 4 store 363 was very rude to me today. I went in on my birthday to purchase some items. I was unfamiliar with my store app and she was no help at all. And when I asked her how to find any coupons she stated very nasty " Just check your email". And when i found a coupon for her to scan she rudely said to put my phone down to the table. Not sure what i did to deserved this. And also there's a woman that works the floor. I guess, this would be the second time that I had interactions with her and she too had a very bad attitude with me both times not sure why. And she was actually training an new girl today. Smh! Which is a shame because unfortunately this location is the closest ulta to me. Anyway! I just needed to get this off my chest. And hopefully the next time I'll go there they will feel better/ be better towards me. Thanks for allowing me to express this issues.

Ulta Beauty Yellow ticket item

I purchased a clearanced hair styling brush and face serum. There are huge signs advertising the low prices. The receipt return policy does not say these items cannot be returned, nor did the seller order at Ulta mention this during checking out. When I attempted to return, the cashier informed me they were final sales and showed me on a sign the very bottom extremely small print in the store.

Ulta Beauty Credit Card opening and 20% discount on purchase incentive

Ulta markets a 20% discount off your first purchase if you open up a credit card. I applied and have an 815 credit score and was "denied" in store along with several others at adjacent counters. I paid the entire $220 bill on an existing card then called Comenity/ULTA to understand the reasons for the credit denial. I was told that indeed I was accepted and had an open account. I asked for a 20% credit to my bill and to this day never receive the so called "coupon" they were supposed to email me in lieu of failing to properly communicate that account opening at the point of sale. I believe this practice is abusive deceptive and unfair given a hard credit hit is required to open up a new account which necessarily degrades your credit score. I am left with zero benefit for that cost, simply frustration and long talk time on the phone with no answers on how to recover my $44.

Desired outcome: Refund the $44 that should have been discounted at the point of sale as marketed upon account opening.

Ulta Beauty Hair blowout

My friend and I booked blowouts and makeup for our class reunion. I requested pricing ahead of time. The stylists were great. What we object to is there was an additional charge of $24 per person for using the curling iron to style our hair

It states that a blowout consists of cleanse, condition, scalp massage, customized blow dry and thermal styling and it takes approximately 45 minutes. We were definitely within the 45-minute range. Thermal hair styling is hair styling with tools that use heat, such as flat irons, hair straighteners, hair dryers and curling irons. We were quoted $50 per person when booking the appointment. We would like to be contacted regarding a refund.

Desired outcome: We would like to be refunded $24 per person/appointment. How do you contact us if we're not allowed to leave personal information on the email.

Ulta Beauty Credit card

In August, I canceled my card. I receive

a disability once a month. I paid my card off at the time I closed it but it was a couple days late. September 1, I paid the late fee although my account was already closed. So then I got another late fee for October 1, again my account is closed. I called today and spoke with customer service and she said she couldn't waive the late fee, she passed me to a supervisor and also told me he couldn't waive the fee. I did express my disappointment with this company and asked "how can you and a late fee if my account is closed? He said they needed my payment and I did express how I was having financial problems but he didn't seem to care. The thing is I have worked so hard to fix my credit and if they can't waive the fee it's going to mess my credit up.

Desired outcome: I'd like Ulta to waive my fee and that way I won't have to deal with them again

Ulta Beauty Returning an item, customer service

I bought a liquid eye shadow and when finally opened it, I could see it was used. I forgot to take it back the next time I visited Ulta so they told me to just bring it in and they would exchange it. I took it back today, expecting a refund but what I got was basically being accused of not paying for it because it was not on my previous transactions. I told them it may have been purchased with my boyfriend's credit card because it was around my birthday, which is at the end of June. She was rude and kept stating I didnt purchase it, but I did. I always watch the cashier ring every item up because ive been charged twice for the same thing before. I was so embarrassed, I finally gave up and told them I will shop elsewhere. I left and called the customer service number and was on hold for awhile before the call was dropped. I then called back again, and then again before I got a live person. I told her what happened and she said she had to put me on hold so she could check it out. I waited and waited, and then suddenly my call was dropped. I tried again and the call was dropped 2 more times before I reached someone. She didnt help at all. She told me they cant refund anything if there is no transaction record. She then wanted to put me on hold. I told her no, I will not be put on hold again. I then told her I will email the head of Ulta to complain and let them know they lost a good customer because I have spent a lot of money there. I have an Ulta credit card with 15,000.00 credit on it. I will be cancelling that card.

Desired outcome: the money back that i paid for it which i believe was 23.00 or a replacement. Although she told me they quit selling it. Its called R.E.M. beauty liquid eyeshadow

Ulta Beauty Service

I have been shopping at Ulta Mays Landing, NJ for many years. I was remiss to say anything about a certain employee, but I feel like now I should. Her name is Charnice and I have witnessed and also been apart of her trying to put her loyalty account on customers with the gift of associate discount. I do not know if she does this with everyone or if anyone agrees. But she has asked me many times if she could put her account info down "girlie pop it helps me out". I feel unwell about all of this as I learned she is now a manager. Does the company know what she does? I sure hope she is not being promotyed for bad behaviour. I could not let this live on my soul anymore and needed to share.

I also wanted to share I purposely did not included all my real info. As I do not want to be uncomfy shopping again as this is my closest Ulta. Also, one of my friends tried to do a return under her name and one of the nark managers made it a mess.

Ulta Beauty Customer service rudeness

Today I decided to take my granddaughter to Ultra, Hemet CA location. She found why she wanted and we went to pay. Your customer service employee, Emmanuel Reg 4 @ 12:47pm asked her for her phone number, he then said its not for a credit card or your not signing up for anything its only to keep track of purchases. We were not interested as this as the first and last time I will buy anything. Cashier again asked for phone number and I said do we have to give one, he became irritated and said something that well you will have problems returning if you don't and I should contribute to the retail industry and just give it to him. I said no and asked again do we have to, he became rude, you could see it in his actions, and he said well you can't return it then. During this time, he processed the transaction and handed me the receipt which I held up and said why not because we have a receipt and turned to walk away, I was several feet from the register and said to my granddaughter why not we have a receipt and he got louder the background saying that it will be hard to return and will need a manager's approval. WHY?

and why was he so loud and rude because I did not want to give him my phone number. I have also read other complaints made and a whole lot have to do with terrible customer service skills. You need to do something about this. He at the very least should be made aware that he is a jerk that is rude to customers and to stop it. Most likely this complaint will go nowhere and that's a shame because I know several people that swear by Ultra, well guess what the products you sell can be purchased at other establishments and trust me when I tell you this that I will indeed tell everyone I know who shops at your store to go elsewhere and most of those people are family and they will listen. Ulta Beauty Taking my personal data

I am no longer a Ulta client.

The stylist Tia at your Johnstown store looked me up in your computer system and sent me a friend request on Facebook. I do not know Tia, she was never my stylist. The is taking my personal data for your gain of trying to get me to be a client. My stylist had just left there like five days before.

I spoke with the manager Amanda she said she could not control what they do on Facebook outside of work.

She did not believe me and laughed at me. I said she took my personal data out of the companies computer which is not legal.

This is poor business practice.

Amanda needs to understand right from wrong.

Ulta Beauty Never received order

I never received my order and have been trying to get in touch with someone through their email, text, chat and phone with no success. For chat, they are always unavailable, and I have received no response for my email or text since Sunday. This is absolutely ridiculous; I have never dealt with a company where there is no response or way to get in touch with someone for over 24 hours. I just need to get my money refunded ASAP

Ulta Beauty Card Charged with no order and points taken!

On 8/26, I tried to place an order during the 21 days of beauty and get the 5X points promotion. The App kept saying it was an error with my card. However, without processing any order…my Ulta MasterCard was charged $92.77 and $11 of my points was taken! I tried to call customer service and I sat on a line waiting for almost an hour before opting to use their text feature. I sent two texts, but never received a response. I tried emailing and they keep asking for an order number that I NEVER received! I’m a Diamond member and Ulta MC holder…but I am never using ULTA again. This is ridiculous!

Ulta Beauty Unauthorized credit card charges, poor customer service

On 8/25 I tried to order an app only product. My ultimate reward Mastercard would not go through, app saying can’t be verified. Called customer service, they told me to sign out of app, sign back in about 15 minutes later and it should work. When I signed back in all my reward points were GONE! 7153 reward points worth over $400.00!

Called customer service, after several different calls and people got a manager who assured me that I could order the product at the sale price and she would process a credit to my account once my order was placed, as well as make sure my reward points were returned to my account.

Today 8/27, I checked my Mastercard and I am being charged $772.80!

$365.56 for the product I ordered, 4 charges for $101.81, for NOTHING! No credit of $250.00 as promised by manager and no reward points.

I called customer service, was in hold for 2 hours then my call was cut off.

I am so frustrated
