Thompson Cigar signed me up for total values plus with out my permission. I do not want this service nor do I use it, Until I got the renewal notice in the mail I did not even know I was enrolled for this service. I also can not seem to delete my account for Thompson Cigar, I have been all over their site looking for a way to delete my account. If Thompson Cigar has a way its hidden deep on their site.

I have tried several times to make a purchase through your website,the payment page just shows the wheel of death.

When are you going to correct this issue?

I am tired of having to wait on the phone for a sales agent! If you have done this in order to keep people working ,then I will wait; I don't want anyone to lose their position.

Thompson cigar is trying to say that I ordered some cigars. I never ordered the cigars they claim I ordered. They can’t provide me with a tracking number they also said I never authorized payment through my PayPal which is true cause I didn’t order them. Now they have sent this to collections and still can’t provide me with the tracking number. Worst company I’ve ever dealt with.

This In person company has charged me $57 on 4 separate occasions for unauthorized orders. I have made multiple calls and multiple email complaints, and absolutely nothing has been done. I want my money back.

I have screenshots and recorded phone calls as proof.

I spoke to someone named Sam, and another rep. I informed them I had not received the products, and did not order expedited shipping. (Even if, for the sake of argument, I had, there are charges ggoing all the way back to November. So the expedited shipping is a moot point, but they've doubled the prices and used that as an excuse for the charges).

They said I enrolled in this and that- none of which is true.

This company has a running scam through my checking account. They keep charging me even after contacting multiple times, in multiple ways.

I was charged 14.95 on December 30th, 2022 from your company. I did not buy anything from your website or sign up for a monthly total value subscription and demand a refund along with a termination of this subscription that I never signed up for. I reviewed my last monthly statements and didn’t see more charges but did not desired to be enrolled in this monthly program without my knowledge or authorization. I have bought cigars from you guys for years but now will have to take my business elsewhere.

What do you know... I saw a charge on my credit card for $14.95. And just like the rest of the people in your reviews, I did not sign up for nor did I authorize any such withdrawals. I've really enjoyed the cigar world sense being in it 15 or so years ago. One thing that I really like about it is most people at lounges or other places they may smoke are very welcoming and integral. This act extracting $14.95 from people's account without their knowing or their approval lacks integrity on so many levels. I would venture to say criminal. Is $14.95 worth the blemish on your character? Horrible! Someone's going to get smart enough and report this type of wire fraud to certain authorities.

Didn’t sign up for this value club but they had all my info from an order and signed me up from that order I guess. They were hitting my credit card every month for $14.95 I wasn’t getting any mailings or emails about the club or my account information but they kept charging me until I noticed the charge and questioned it. I called and canceled it wasn’t offered anything for the deception beware of this company.

I placed this order on Sunday night and paid for the 2-3 day shipping with the expectation it would ship out on Monday afternoon. Instead my order is sitting with a status of “Processing” 5 days later. I even complained via chat on Wednesday and was told it was shipping out that day and upgraded to overnight shipping. To make matters even worse, when I placed my order, no items were back ordered. Because of their incompetence the main reason I placed the order is now back ordered.

They also keep repeatedly charging my credit card then refunding then charging it again.

I ordered nearly $600 in cigars from them last month and this order was another $340. I’ll just do business with another company not owned by Scandinavian Tobacco Group.

I went through my bank statement today and saw a charge for $14.95 from Thompson co. I had purchased cigars from Thompson several times but NEVER have I authorized anything recurring. I sent them an E mail demanding a refund for the entire year it was on there and removed all payment methods from my profile. Then I went on line and saw all the complaints about the same thing. Once I realized it was not simply and accident I called my bank, disputed all the charges and canceled my card. HUGE pain in my [censored]. Have to transfer all my auto pays items now. I will never use Thompson again.

This is not really a complaint but a suggestion. I would love to try some of your sampler offers but there is a problem. I am 78 years old and have been smoking cigars for many years. I like a cigar that's mild to medium. I have no way of determining if the cigars in your sample offers are mild, med or full body. It may be helpful if you would sort and lable your sample offerings so that the customer know that they am getting the type of cigar they prefer otherwise they will light up and throw away most of what they get. I hope this is not thought of as a complaint but just a suggestion. I know that if I can be sure I am buying a mild to med sample I would like very much to get some.

Never signed up for any of their programs, simply made a purchase and now I find I'm being charged a monthly fee. Don't buy from this company! I just realized they have been charging me $14.95 a month

They need a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against them in the 10s of millions.

Who wants in on that?

On june 23rd 2022, i ordered 20 victor sinclair spiced rum cigars, about 10 days later, i hadn’t received them, i called their customer service, spoke to a Marko, call was outsourced, and he states that the order was never placed. The amount was my was charged thru pay pal with my checking account , gave him order# and confirmation, still he said nothing in their system, called my bank to get my $$$ back. Do not order from this company they are shady and take your $$. I have ordered on the past, will never order again. They should have tried to fix issue by resending the order, never even tried. They need to be shut down… scammers..

on June 15 while smoking a thompson 829 cigar I found a chicken bone in the cigar (the bone approximately 2 inches long & 1/4 of an inch wide). I listed a complaint in the company web site and talked with a Thompson representative and explained what I found. He offered me a $10 credit. I have serious concerns about health both for myself and other customers. It is obvious this was not a accident but and intentional action on the part of the person who rolled the cigar.

Thompson has to date has not contacted me. Thompson customer service rep offered me a $10 credit and sent a per-paid mailer to return the unused cigars.

I do not feel this is an acceptable solution.

Was charged today (6-14-22) $14.95 on my PayPal account for this auto pay Thompson Cigar said I signed up for. Did not sign up for this and never received an email informing me I did. Will never buy from Thompson again.

Ordered cigars, and got enrolled in a $14.95/month 'Total Values Plus' plan. I won't bore you with what it is, because I don't care what it is. But, I do care about being fraudulently stolen from. I am very careful when I order online, have been ordering online for over 20 years, but somehow this got by me. Never again. This was charged via Pay Pal, so a correction should be made to my account there

Today I first noticed a $14.95 charge on my american express. I don't pay attention to small amounts, and this caught my attention. So, I called the number listed as the contact number in my american express bill and couldn't get through for several attempts. They told me it was a recurring bill after a free period of trial. I never approved a free trial period of anything. The last order I had with thompson was a year ago. I am outraged! Their store is in tampa and I have been there. I will never buy another item from them again. I am an army veteran and they always act like they take care ov veterans but they screwed me. I will make sure I let every veteran I know know about this screwing veterans. Shame.

In November 2021 my wife read a paper advertisement of Thompson Cigar and tried to surprize me by ordering 38 $ special Christmas offer, what she did not know is that she also got herself enrolled in total value plus plan scam which she did not want nor care for, but we do care for being fraudulently stolen from monthly for 14.95 $ ever since then.

3 times so far we received the 14.95 $ charge.

We will never again buy anything from Thompson Cigar. Also seeing the complaints since 2018 on this board it is clear that over the years many people have suffered the same from this company while others I guess do not read their credit cards statements.

I am normally very careful, but I unwittingly signed up for a subscription service when I made a purchase with Thompson Cigars.

I am upset that I did not catch it sooner. I bought the cigars on August 16th, 2021. Total Values Plus sent me an email the day after, which I didn't read. Apparently, the first month was free, but they got away with charging me $14.95 for 5 months. I don't use the subscription and it has not benefitted me whatsoever. A complete waste of money, all because I did not read the fine print.

Let this be a cautionary tale to others. Luckily I was able to call to cancel my membership, but I am still upset about being out nearly $75.

I was charged twice 14.95$ until I noticed it on my statement. I don't recall I ever agreed to use this service when making a one-time purchase with Thompson.

(2) Double order charge, the second one shows in 1/5 for the same amount of order, seems automatically sending every 2 months.

Expecting: (1) Cancel this club; (2) Cancel the automated order; (3) refund the previous charge except the first order.

In february I ordered one selection of cigars and order was received ok. 8 months later I found out that I was being charged $14.95 every month for a total value plus membership fee, which I never ordered or applied for. The only thing that I did was to place an order for cigars. I have checked other peoples comments regarding this problem and have found hundreds if not thousands of comments like mine posted on the internet. I have been a satisfied customer of Thompson Cigar for decades, but that has changed. I will never order any thing from Thompson Cigar unless they change their fraudulent ways of doing business and correct their past misgivings.
