StreamDirect.tv Aka StreamDirectmovies.com aka streamonlinemovies.com
This company offers thousands of streaming tv channels to watch on your computer for a one time fee.
in reality what you get for your payment is "tv on pc" software which is a directory of streaming tv channels available
for free on the internet anyway, these channels are crap and most of the time will not even work, and when they do work
its just bogus channels with no actual value (channels available for free on the internet).
the software itself is just a directory of free available online tv channels and has 0 value.

this is taken from their terms of use in the bottom of the page:
"This service entitles you to access the location, evaluation, and or recommendation of software available from the web site and for the installation and technical support provided. streamdirect.tv does not host any videos or TV streams on our website. We provide an easier access to these streams which are otherwise freely available on the net. All channel names, content, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. We are not affiliated and we do not claim to be affiliated with any of the owners or providers of videos and TV streams which are accessible through our website.
The Digital Video Recorder mentioned above is limited to a 30 day trial. "

I requested a refund and got no reply (how surprising) so i am going to issue a reversal of charges with my credit card company now,
if you have fallen for this scam like me then don't bother contacting them because they will never answer. just reverse the charges.

i am also sending a complaint to the BBB.

Laughingly they did not even bother to protect their members area with a password, after you pay them you will be sent to the link below:
http://members-area-tv.com/tvtopc/?Submit=Click+here+to+continue&chkBox=ON

So now you can "enjoy" this "product" for free and do not need to send money to these a%*holes
and save yourself the hassle.
the link above is where they will send you after you buy it, so now you can checkout this worthless crap for yourself
and see the scam that it is without spending your hard earned money.

from reading their disclaimer it seems they are hiding their company in the bahamas,
makes sense because it is probably to legally protect them from lawsuits.

P.S
when i ran a scan on the software i also found a trojan attached to it.

I don't understand the problem people are supposedly having with this website. I took a chance with the $5 trial fee and watched the New England Patriots play the Vikings. The game wasn't available in my area (Texas). I refuse to pay the $320 fee for Sunday NFL Ticket.
It was great and that hooked me. I paid the other $40 for a lifetie membership.
Since then I watched the Patriots vs the Browns, the Pacquiao/Margarito pay for view fight (FREE) and 2 weekends ago, I watched the WWE Survivor Series (also pay for view, also FREE).
Hey if this is a scam, I'd like to find more. I just hooked my new laptop to my 67 inch Samsung and now I will watch these streams on the big screen.

Yup
these people call their company "profitpal", "marketbay", "platinumpartner"
they are behind a big percentage of worldwide media related scams overall and hide in the bahamas.
if you bought via their own processor i would also change my credit card details because they are not safe now.

their members area is a pile of useless links generally oriented to illegal websites and a bunch of crap software
which is freeware that has been rebranded to look like real software.

this link:
http://members-area-tv.com/tvtopc/?Submit=Click+here+to+continue&chkBox=ON
is correct, it leads to their members area and other parts inside there such as the "bonuses" section links to other equally useless
parts of their members area where they send other unsuspecting customers.
they are such a scam that they did not even care to protect the members area with a password

they are also known to spam you once they get a hold of your email in the registration process.

this is a company that has an expiry date to it, until a lawsuit finally puts them down and sends the owners where they belong
behind bars.

my suggestion to anyone who fell for this scam is to contact the BBB and reverse the credit charges by contacting your credit card company.
