Spinnaker Resorts Scam

This place is nothing but a scam to take your money. They lie to you. They make it sound like such a good deal. Tell u that u can go anywhere at anytime. Lies. Tell you that u have 4 weeks u can use. But no where u want to go. I specifically told her that we vacation in Destin and she straight up lied and said we could use it for Destin. LIES. THEY CONNED US INTO BUYING into this scam. I’ve lost so much sleep over this and then I had to be put on blood pressure meds from the stress of this. They pressure you into this then make u sign a paper saying u weren’t pressured at this point we just wanted out of there. After we left I was so

Spinnaker Resorts Sales presentation Williamsburg Va.

I am a 20 + year owner at Kings Creek location with two properties.

On my recent visit for a weeks stay I had annual sales presentation which I was given fraudulent information about my ownership. I was told that Spinnaker was only part owners and I had to update ownership to secure full benefits of ownership. I agreed to update and have a signed document that guaranteed a buy back of two weeks with a $ 3000.00 credit. We went to closing and the notary stated that was not possible and transaction was voided. I was given much information that was not true and would like to discuss with someone in management at you company.

Spinnaker Resorts Scam

Bought a time share with this company! Took the timeshare that I already bought and had the deed too and they put it as a down payment on another contract! Then they said I owed them 10,200!

I’m not sure how this company can still be in business ! My wife just passed and I don’t even travel anymore and to add insult to injury ! This company took advantage of me and stole my money

Desired outcome: I want the time share to be dropped so I don’t have to stress about this anymore ! I’m a 75 years old widow! I don’t need this stress in my life.

Spinnaker Resorts Fraudulent advise

My husband and I owned a paid up $16,000. French Quarter Condo in Branson

for years.

We were notified by Spinnaker that we'd have a free lunch and help get out of

our condo due to fees at French Quarter going up so high, that they could help us. We sat with Spinnaker Rep for hours and wound up spending another $2500. plus $200 per week and reduced our 2 bedroom at French Quarter to a one bedroom which is rinky dinky and cheap. Only good thing they sold us on

was condo was under my name only if I died my family would not have anything to pay.

Its like I am paying for a more expensive condo. They told me they were buying me out of French Quarter. They gave me more of a loan now to pay and I am going on 79 years old. I feel I got another bill and can't pay this I want my old condo back.

Desired outcome: I want my money back I have given them the day we sat and all the 2 years we have paid $190.02 per month. It seems there is no end to this loan. I am sick to my stomach that we go through this. Help us please

Spinnaker Resorts Sales/customer service

I purchased a timeshare with Spinnaker-Ormond Beach, FL under the "promise" from the salesman that he would 100% sell my other timeshare in Virginia Beach. I initially declined the offer from Spinnaker and expressed to them I did NOT want two timeshares. He guaranteed me he would sell my other timeshare.

He even said he was friends with the developer in Virginia Beach and acted as if he was calling/messaging him as I sat there. Obviously I now know that was a blatant lie.

I've filed complaints with Spinnaker, even had a phone conversation with the Customer Service Coordinator. She acknowledged my complaint on/around 5/5/23. I thought this was great, I'd finally get some help out of this and she'd do the right thing!

Around 5/15/23 we had a phone conversation and she informed me she'd take the lengthy notes from our conversation in front of the board on 5/16/23. I didn't hear back from her for about 2-3 weeks.

6/21 she finally responded- "I did get the opportunity to present your file at the Developer Review Council meeting. After a thorough review of your file and the information you provided, the Developer could not find reason to grant you a release from your contract with Spinnaker Resorts. During the deeding process with the Verification Officer, we ask very specific questions to assure that all expectations are met and to mitigate any confusion. Without the knowledge of your expectation(s) that were discussed with your Sales Representative, we cannot guarantee any of the ‘promises’ that are/were made. Resale is never guaranteed with any transaction with Spinnaker Resorts and the success or lack thereof is not contingent on your purchase with us as outlined in the acknowledgements portion of your contract."

She also "offered" to list my timeshare in Virginia Beach with a transfer company, for a fee of $965. I told her I'd willingly sign my rights over to Spinnaker and they can list and still keep the profit but I've not heard back from her or anyone else.

Desired outcome: Released from timeshare completely.

They did the same thing to us. They were going to take our other timeshare but of course were unable to because our other timeshare was smart enough to say no. So now we are stuck with both. Unethical! Immoral

Spinnaker Resorts Timeshare - lack of cooperation and communication

I have been trying to keep patient and work with the timeshare directly. It has

become more than apparent that money is the key factor here. They will not even allow me to talk to anyone else without paying them nearly $2,000. It is a ridiculous way of doing business, and who is to say that once I pay that money to talk to the next guy, that there won’t be another, “Well just pay this and then we will let you out.” I want out of the ownership. Period. I’m not paying to speak to people so that they can “consider” it. They were the ones who lied to us, not the other way around. So all we want it to give it back and walk away. That is it. They can resell it and make money that way, or whatever they see fit... but I do not want it any longer. I will sign whatever paper I have to to get my name completely removed from it all. They simply will not have it without some kind of financial gain.

Desired outcome: Complete, unconditional release from timeshare!

Spinnaker Resorts Reservation

We were in the reservation que for well over an hour to finally speak to a live voice. We gave all needed information asked by the agent, including a callback number. We asked for availability at one of three Spinnaker resorts in Branson. First choice was full capacity but second

choice was available, so we asked agent if she could hold for just a minute while we called our daughter on a separate phone to confirm if second choice was okay with her. Agent said sure and when we came back to her, we had lost connection (or got hung up on). Agent did not call us back, so we went through the holding in the que for another hour. We were finally the next in line, only to be disconnected while being transferred to next agent. We then called back AGAIN, only to be the next caller to connect to agent, and then was sent to a recording to leave a message. Worse customer service we have ever experienced. WE ARE OWNERS and that's how we were treated. Unacceptable

Spinnaker Resorts Owner 1669427

I’ve called numerous times now and have either left a voice mail for a return call or have waited in que since apparently there is always more than 10 callers on-line awaiting assistance. Additionally, I’ve sent an email to reservations regarding exchanging my Hilton Head Week for the Floridian South. The only reason I’ve been calling is “YOU” requested I call back within 180 days prior to the reservation to make this change. AND now, I can’t get assistance because I remain in que all morning long which is BS. Or, never get a call back or email response. Originally, I reserved the Floridian since on the back of my owners’ card states : “ You may book float reservations 360 days before check-in or Ormond Beach location.

Then was notified that it needs to be 180 days before and my reservation was moved to Hilton Head for Dec 24, 2023 versus Ormond Beach.

Desired outcome: Want what I initially reserved at the Floridian South in Jan 2023 after I directly paid my dues.

ALWAYS! I've spent hours over several days on hold with "more than 10 callers ahead of me". I was 2nd in line today and waited over a half hour and then she was zero help. Oh but it's a busy time...! Appalling lack of customer service and no owner representation. Where is our Board of Directors? Every other timeshare I own has one and we, the owners, vote them in.

Spinnaker Resorts Free Vacation scam

So we were offered a 7-day vacation after we listened to a presentation for timeshare. This free vacation was offered by Spinnaker as I will "give" you another 7 days after the timeshare presentation. You will receive your certificate from the resort after the presentation. Not only did I have to pay a $150 save the date deposit, they didn't have my dates or the destinations I wanted. Plus when I decided on another unpreferred destination it was another $350? WHAT? This is false advertising! GOCRV is not the issue! Spinnaker lies to get you in the presentation by telling you they are "giving" you another 7 nights. This was such a hassle, and I could have booked on my own without the headache. Now lets see how long it takes to get my refundable deposit back...

Spinnaker Resorts Hurricane Ian rescheduling and rudeness of a supervisor

10/04/22, I am in owner at Royal Floridian in Ormand Beach. Our reservation was cancelled due to Hurricane Ian. I called the reservation number provided in the email I received; however, they were not able to help me with my questions. I ask for a supervisor and spoke with someone named Shaundi. She was not willing to try and assist me and when I ask to speak with someone in management, she told me I was at the highest-level person I could speak with. She was extremely rude and not willing to help me. As an owner for 20 plus years I really did not appreciate her attitude and unwillingness to help get my problem resolved. When I ask to speak with her supervisor or someone in management, she told me that she was the only supervisor I was going to talk to. I expressed that she has a someone above her, but she kept telling I me that she would not let me speak to them. I would like to speak with someone in management about my reservation being cancelled and the inability to get it rescheduled. I DO NOT want to speak with a supervisor in reservations. I want someone of a higher level. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Desired outcome: Reschedule in April or May. We would not be able to enjoy the outdoor activities/beach in the cold weather. We are not asking to come during the busy season. I would like something done about the rudeness of Shaundi in reservations.

Spinnaker Resorts Exorbitantly excessive fees

We received our maintenance fee bill for $720.00, due on Feb.1/2022. In the midst of caring for an aging parent, & losing a spouse unexpectedly, the bill slipped through the cracks & went unpaid for 2 months. In April, I attempted to pay the maintenance fee along with the late fee, but Kings Creek Property Owners Association declared they were unable to take the payment because it was in collections--which I never received notice of. They provided me with Meridian Collections information who informed me that they did not have the file in their possession & could not take my payment, to call back at the end of the week! I did so, and was told the same thing again! I called again the following week, same result!

After my husband's death, someone fraudulently closed our mailbox & had all mail forwarded to another address, so I have received NOTHING from Meridian, and a 30 percent collection fee for something that I tried to pay multiple times is ridiculously excessive.

Desired outcome: I will happily pay the maintenance fee, but the collection fee is ridiculous, given the fact that Kings Creek had all my information, yet failed to contact me by phone, or in writing!

Spinnaker Resorts Receiving our deed

We purchased in May of 2021, still don't have a deed. Many excuses as to why not, has been paid for all of that time. Supposedly the Title office is taking care of it, but it sat for over a year on someone's desk and they don't seem to care.

Desired outcome: Receive a deed in a timely manner, like now....and compensation somehow.

Spinnaker Resorts Horrible Customer Service

I attended a 90min presentation in Branson April 23, 2022, my husband and I decided not to purchase a timeshare for personal reasons. I was then promised a additional vacation package.. which I should have just purchased on my own with all the associated fees an hassle. I then contacted customer service to book the reservations on May 20th 2022. literally placed a call 15 times this day, every time I called and connected to an agent the phone hung up. By the 8th

call I Spoke to a gentleman by the name of Kellen who was very nice and helpful. I informed the rep I was ready to book my reservation however, I was unable to use the full days of the package per my husband job. The rep stated he would get me to the solution department as they would be able to make adjustments to my package to suit my needs. I was then transferred to the solution department an of course the phone hangs up.. I literally call back 3 more times “on the 11th call at this point” I spoke with one of the worse rep I could ever speak with “Lisa“ I explained the same issue as I did to the former rep” she basically tells me the rep I spoke to was new and there is nothing they could do to help. “That’s just the way it is” BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I then asked to speak with a supervisor “ she then indicates she could not here me and is going to disconnect the call “really” I then call back 3 more times..thank god I got Kellen again. I Addressed the issue I just encountered with the solution department rep. He informed me he would get me to a supervisor and they will call me back by COB. May 25th “ No supervisor call” I then call back an out of all the possible reps I get “Lisa” again. Very polite until she recognized who she was speaking to. I asked very nicely to speak with a supervisor again. She explained the supervisor was reviewing my notes “5mins later she then states the supervisor reviewed your notes and as I explained to you before, were unable to make any changes but you can have a refund”. I said ok, can I please speak with the supervisor? She indicated the supervisor was very busy and could not take my call. Remind you, she had enough time to review the account notes but no time to speak with me.. smh “Lisa” then states she can put me back in the que for another supervisor to contact me. Why? A supervisor was just viewing my account? Now I have to wait two more days? I informed her that was unacceptable as I have been waiting to receive a call since May 20th an need to book the reservation and I would like to speak with a supervisor today as she was very rude. She indicated they will call me when there available “have a nice day” an hung up! Never received a call back, No resolution, I canceled my reservation an asked for a refund. Please do not waste any of your time with company.

Spinnaker Resorts Charging my account $59 every month

I was told I had only to pay the $119.00 for the 4 day 3 night trip, and then my account started to be charged every month for $59.00.

I dont want to deal with this company at all. I want all of my money back.

This company is a rip off. They tell you on the telephone you only pay the $119 and then they hit your checking account every month. Even when you ask them is there another charge, they say NO.

Spinnaker Resorts Thousands of Travel SPAM calls and NO FREE Cruise!!!

In September 2015, my husband and I attended an information meeting at the Spinnaker Resort in Branson. We were given a certificate for a "FREE" cruise, but when I tried to book the cruise, it was anything but free. To book the cruise, would have cost us as much as it would have if we had just booked it directly with the cruise company. Total rip-off. The worst part is our phone number and information was given to thousands of travel companies, who still to this day, March 9, 2022, call us multiple times daily trying sell us a travel package. We have managed to block the phone numbers of at least 788 of these unwanted solicitation phone calls. However, they change their phone numbers and call again. Run. Don't go! Nothing is free.

Desired outcome: I want our name and number removed from all those travel companies! And I deserve an apology!

Spinnaker Resorts Ormond Beach Resort

We bought the package for Ormand Beach on 3/19-3/21 under the impression that our two rooms would have an ocean view. Given this info we were able to convince two other couples to join us. When we called the Welcome Center this am, we were informed that our room (s) is a "partial " view. Not only is this a major disappointment but no one at Customer Service or at the Welcome (questionable) Center could tell us what partial view meant other than not "full ocean view". We were informed that we could pay for an upgrade for a full view.

My issue isn't the money. My issue is we understood that we had paid for and was told that our request for an Ocean view room had been submitted. At no time did we understand that our request was conditional.

In the past we have enjoyed your resorts, but I have to admit this time is extremely questionable. If you would prefer losing a customer over a simple room request, then I would have to say I will definitely reconsider my choices available for future mini vacations.

Desired outcome: I would like for Spinnaker Resorts to pay the additional monies needed for me and my guests to enjoy a "full ocean view room".

Wish we’d read all of these complaints about Spinnaker before we wasted our holiday time staying in a “resort” that was promised to us as part of a Spinnaker presentation. On the phone, when booking our dates, we were assured a stay at either a Best Western or Holiday Inn. Some others who attended the same presentation as we did, were staying at these locations. Somehow, we were instead given a room at the Cove Motel, a very old place from the 1940s. There is no heat, (it was at 59 degrees and no way to adjust the AC). When we spoke to the front desk, he was well aware of the AC issue and offered us a plug in heater. There is nowhere comfortable to sit in the unit and the TV didn’t work. At the presentation, we had Sandy. Her presentation and demeanour was poor, bordering on rude! After 2 1/2 hrs, while we were waiting for a manager who was busy pitching her offer to several other tables, I told Sandy that we were done and wanted to go. She threatened that we wouldn’t get our “free gifts” if we left! We made it very clear to both Sandy and the manager about how unhappy we were with the “resort” we were given. There were many excuses from both of them, but no effort to make any changes or attempt to rectify anything in our favour. Needless to say, we have nothing positive to say about Spinnaker or their sales team.

Spinnaker Resorts Mini Vacations

My husband and I visited one of the time shares in Branson, MO. We sat through the whole presentation and at the end decided it was not for us. The company then sold us a mini vacation. We were told it was for a stay at one of their other Time Share locations. When I went to book it, it was actually just for a standard motel and the dates are very limited. I have been on hold for hours and when i do get ahold of somebody, I am told it is not their problem, that I need to call Spinnaker Resorts to resolve any issues. I had to book by trip and now I can not even use my mini vacation because it is not in their 45 day window. I have more money invested in this Free trip then if I would have just paid straight out for 2 nights in a standard motel.

Spinnaker Resorts 199.00 4night deak

I can't believe anyone would buy from this company. First we were promised a condo in their resort. Alas it turned out to be a run down hotel room. We wasted our time listening to the presentation and received 4 dine in cards worth nothing. Nothing more than a coupon you can find in a newspaper. They are nothing but a bunch of con artists . I would be ashamed to be associated with them. Funny thing is the guy that gave us the presentation warned us against believing all other time share sales people (except him of course). Talk about a snake.
