Sears Do not purchase this-Customer Service is horrible

While the concept may seem like a good idea, they are perfectly happy to leave you without your appliance (in our case a dryer) for WEEKS or MONTHS. When you try to call, wait time is always over 40 minutes. They finally arrive for your appointment which is always at least 2 weeks out and have to order a part. Which takes another few weeks. The money you spend at laundromat and on this agreement itself, you could purchase a new appliance with.

Sears Master Protection Plan

Me and my family have been without a refrigerator for 32 days we have had 3 different technicians come out one which told us our refrigerator was done. But they keep sending more people out to give us mixed signals only to keep delaying the inevitable which is we need a new refrigerator. Don't ever buy from American Freight Company and don't ever waste money on the maintenance protection plan. They outsource their insurance department to another count which shouldn't be a problem but it has been an extreme issue when the insurance department never provides customer service and has an excuse every time you call you realize they are a scam and should be sued.

Sears such a dissapointment! I wish i could give you no stars at all

My dishwasher stopped working in October 2023. First appointment i get canceled 1/2 way through the day without any explanation. Next appointment tech came out which let me tell you no people skills at all) says it is the motor. He orders a motor. We have to wait 2 weeks for next appointment. he comes fixes the motor. Great! That night we start dishwasher and the kitchen floods. There was no leaking before he came to my house. Now there is a major leak. I guess it might have had something to do with the review i left about how he was not very polite and not a people person. So, time to call sears again another appointment with a different tech. He comes and says we need a part that is hard to find but he will do his best. he orders a part. next appointment he comes and says it is the wrong part. Orders another part and another appointment. the same part comes. The appointment date comes, and he calls me and says send him a picture of the part because if it is not the right part then there is no reason for him to waste his time coming here for no reason as he sits in the grocery store parking lot next to where he lives. hmm but it is okay for me to keep wasting my time and staying home from work to wait on him to not show up anyway. Of course it is the wrong part because it was the same part that already came a month ago. so he says well i have to do a nationwide search for this part, so another appointment and the nationwide search comes back to not finding any. so my appointment date is here and he calls me to tell me this news also from the grocery store parking lot next to where he lives. He says I need to call sears and tell them so they can replace my dishwasher. I call and they tell me HE has to request a replacement on his forms he fills out. So, I call him back and he tells me they are not allowed to fill the forms out like that. that it is sears responsibility to do it. SO now i am playing phone tag so I get sears on the phone with a different cell phone and i am talking to the lady at sears and she told me HE has to request it so i told her i was going to do a three way call with him and i called him and he answered so he talked with her and basically yelled at her telling her she was wrong and so she put me through the escalade department and my tech said when you get through call me back and I will explain to them. When they answered I tried to call him back and of course he didn't answer. So, all in all, I had 8 Appointments, 2 nationwide searches that show that the part has been discontinued. Missed 8 days of work and because of this dishwasher leak my kitchen hardwood floor is ruined. It has been 6 months with no dishwasher that i purchased a warranty for from Sears. And today April 5 th was my last appointment with the technician canceled my appointment and the sears agent telling me there is nothing she can do about it because that is the only technician they have in my area, and he has to put it in his forms that we need a replacement. Very DISAPPOINTED! Sears and all their employees should be ashamed of themselves for taking (stealing)all of their customers money.

Thank you for responding back. The model you have is a mid grade Whirlpool family product.

There's a few extra areas of information that's needed. Please call /800 /697 /3277. This is the Sears Customer Service hotline. You'll want to confirm that the repair is actually under warranty. If not, you'll find it more cost effective to just replace the unit. You can get the equivalent of your model between $500-$599.

If customer service doesn't completely satisfy your issue, please post back.

The part is covered under the warranty I purchased. The problem is that the part they need to fix this leak is discontinued BUT there is a part number that can be substituted for the part they need. Unfortunately for me (here is the loophole you guys have) the part that can be substituted does NOT work. As you can see in the video I have posted. So, the technician and his supervisor are both telling me that they cannot write it down as not fixable because that substitute part is out there and i actually have 3 of those parts here and 1 in the dishwasher because that was what they kept sending me. They said they would not get paid on their part for the Maintenace if they wrote that down because of the substitute part. Sears keeps telling me that there is nothing they can do for me until they write down that this is not fixable. I will not call Sears again until i know for sure that there is going to be a replacement dishwasher and to confirm the date of delivery. I have already missed 8 days of work and numerous hours sitting on the phone just to hear the same story over and over again. The amount of frustration and disappointment is beyond tolerable. I have contacted BBB and am now waiting it out.

This part is under the warranty i purchased. The problem is the part they need is discontinued BUT, (here's your loophole) there is another part number that can used in place of the part needed. ( I have 4 of the same exact part here) Only that part is in my dishwasher right now and obviously it does not work. So, the technician and his supervisor told me they cannot write down that it is not fixable because while that part number is out there then they will not get paid. Sears tells me that there is absolutely nothing they can do to help me if the technicians will not write it in their paperwork. I will not call SEARS again unless i am setting up a date for my new dishwasher to be delivered. I spent way too many hours wasting my time calling sears, sitting on the phone listening to the same exact story over and over again. 8 days of missed work, the amount of stress and frustration for the last 6 months is enough. I have already contacted BBB.

Sears Duct cleaning

Major scam. I am 89 years old and wanted the ducts cleaned. They said it was full of mold and need chemicals also a UV light etc. Told me this will be a continued free service every year and only need the bulb changed also if I sell the place it will continue to the new buyers. I paid over $1900 for the service only to find out from Sears manager that's not true. I tried getting some of my money back, but they stopped answering my calls, the email given to me by the manager I sent was returned.

I read some awful responses about how other people were treated, but it was too late for me.

If you could tell me where else I can write to make other people aware of this scam, at least I would feel better becoming a victim.

Sears Kenmore Washer/Dryer

I purchased a 3 year service maintenance agreement when I purchased in February 2021. Yesterday I called for my last service and was told my phone number was not in the system and had no contract. This went on for over an hour. I asked for the complaint department number and got a woman asking if I could hear here and when I didn't answer a recording started so I hung up.

I received an email stating my contract was about to end on 0/27/24 so I called a different number and told my contract ended June 2023. I am proceeding with the next step.

Sears Sears appliance service home warranty

My clothes dryer stopped working back in October 2023. Today is Jan 29, 2024, I paid $100 service to have the technician out, I was told the part to fix my dryer would arrive within 7-10 days. 1 1/2 months later after many calls I was told the part was back ordered then it was discontinued & I would get a new dryer per the contract. Their technician placed the order. Jan 4,2024 I was relieved when the new dryer came. However, the size ordered was incorrect, it was too large for the space in my condo. Sears said I would be charged 30%(restocking fee) since I refused the dryer or I would be given $400 towards me purchasing a dryer. Unhappily I agreed to the check because I was exhausted & frustrated dealing with Sears & the inconvenience of not having a working dryer. Now almost a month later I'm still waiting for this check. Mind you I'm still being charged $49.99/ month in fees! Is the plan is to keep delaying enough to recoup the money they will send me?

i had appointment schaduled for 4:30 pm on 1/25/24 ! i waited and no one called , i made a phone call and waited online 15 min and voice froom sears told me that they can not help me for my AC , cuz i live on 4 floor condo ! why they offered me and made me wait at home for appointment even they know i live in 4th floor, btw we have three floor but first floor is car garage ! this is very disrespectfull for cosumers ! i will write on facebook and where every i can find for review ! distrustful company !

Sears Sears Protection PLAN IS A SCAM!!!

I have been trying to get my Sears Oasis Washing machine fixed or replaced since the end of October. After seven visits and all parts installed to fix washer

my washer it was recommend for replacement. Today, January 12, 2024, I found out it was denied.

Sears Protection agreement

I was enrolleto the cardd in sears protection plan In June my AC unit broke down Sears kept on making several repair appointments on which they kept on cancelling when they sent a repair man out June 2 2023 he stated the motor was gone on the unit so he had to order a new one sears continuely make several appoitment and which everytime they cancel without explanation I went through the whole summer without AC the unit was unoperable October 6 2023 they made another appointment the repair man showed up and repaired the unit around this time I had purchased a new unit from a different company , After all of this unacceptable service I called sears to cancell my contract for the protection agreement and which I was told I would receive a full refund from which I paid in full for the year I called the agreement office and was told it was put on my credit card which was not added

Sears Kenmore washer

I have a Kenmore washer that I purchased new at Sears in Beavercreek, Ohio. I have keep up with the Protection Plan. It is broken and we have been told the part cannot be found to replace it.
