Safeway Loss prevention

I went in to buy 2 cans of cat food and crab legs I ask the lady at the counter how much it was for the crabs which came out to something like 15 dollars which I was short 5 dollars told the lady to please hold them for me I was gonna run to the house and get more money pay for the cans and started to walk out when loss prevention stop me show them the receipt for the cans they ask me why I put the cans in my purse I responded because I didn't want to pay for a plastic bag I show them my receipt and then she proceeded to ask me about the crabs which I told her the lady at the counter is holding them for me because i am 5 dollars short while she kept harassing me about the crab even thought the security guard went to verify a homeless guy walks out with 2 boxes of beer and the female loss prevention blames me for the homeless guy stealing the beer and tells me I can no longer come back

Safeway - Extremely negative customer at three different locations

Safeway Check out cashier

We were in your Oregon City, Or Safeway store 13434 Colton Pl Oregon City, OR 97045. Around 11:00 am 1-18-2024.. WE have never ever been treated so poorly in a grocery store until today. Number 1 hiring kids that are mouthy and very unprofessional and flat rude to your customers are unexpectable. IMO, with long hair falling across there face. This person (BOY) Dark hair tall with long hanging hair. Became extremely mouthy indicating my husband was invading the customers in front of us there privaties. NO he was not and this checker rudley said get back My husband said get back from where and this checker loudly said I SAID YOUR INVADING this customers privacy now move. He kept going on and on and finally my husband told him to shut his mouth and asked the customer if he was invading her privacy she said oh no your fine. I have never been treated so [censored]ty in my life and I worked for banking and boy YOU never spoke to a client like that, I said absolutely NOT ONE WORD to this mouthy kid, and yes I addressed it with whoever your mgr was there at the time., But I also DO not feel this was going to get taken care of properly, I will never go to his line again and if he is the only one I will leave my groceries and go elsewhere. This is so disappointing safeway hires people like this.. Because I bet anything this is not the first time and customers behind us also heard him acting out.

Safeway Pharmacy Customer Service

I have now experienced customer service problems at the Montrose Colorado Safeway Pharmacy on multiple occasions and it will be the last time I ever step foot in a Safeway or Albertsons store ever again.

My problem stems from the piss poor customer service and treatment of customers that this store has exhibited. I have consistently had issues with getting my prescriptions filled at this location. I have ongoing medications that require filling, and I can honestly set my watch by the problems created when getting this location's employees to do their jobs. They have next to zero common-sense problem-solving abilities it appears and the problems continue even when I have gone out of my way to facilitate communication breakdowns between not only my doctor's office, but also my insurance company customer service representatives.

My problem this time, (which is similar to every other time), began with me requiring a refill of 2 of my ongoing medications. These medications are vital to my ability to perform day to day activities and every time there is a delay, I suffer complications. I contacted the Safeway Pharmacy to check on refill availability today 01/11/2024. I contacted my doctor's office and had the medical staff call in for a refill of one of the prescriptions. The second prescription had a refill legally on file with written authorization from my Medical Doctor so getting them filled should not have been a problem. I contacted Safeway Pharmacy and spoke with Arial who was the pharmacy representative. She explained to me that they would be in processing, and it would take till after 3pm Mountain time before they were ready. No other problem or delay was expressed at that time which was approximately 10am that morning. I waited till after 4:30pm before going to pick up my prescriptions just to make sure there was plenty of time for them to do their job. Upon arrival at approximately 4:41pm I was told that due to an Insurance policy change that medical preauthorization was needed and a call from my doctor was required... even though this was an ongoing prescription fill and one that I have had prescribed for years, let alone that my doctor had called in this newest refill earlier in the day! I asked what exactly they needed and then stated I would call my doctor's office to get the prescription taken care of. It was told that both of my prescriptions would need this authorization. After talking with my doctor's office and then contacting my insurance company to solve this authorization problem, I waited another 2 hours to attempt to pick up my prescriptions after ensuring that both the doctor's office and insurance company were made aware of the problem and had contacted the pharmacy to solve this issue. When I returned, Arial stated that the authorization was approved for the one medication, but the other had not been authorized as of yet. I then stated my displeasure at how much of my valuable time was wasted on this problem and that I had contacted everyone involved and was assured that they had communicated with Safeway Pharmacy on this matter. I then decided to at least fill the one prescription since it was approved, and that Arial had verified that. I was then told that prescription was not put back in for processing by Safeway (her) and that I would have to wait longer until they could get it filled. I then asked about the other prescription and why it wasn't authorized yet. I was told that it was due to the insurance company being contacted by my doctor's office. I then explained that I had already talked with my doctor and the insurance company earlier and was assured it was taken care of by both parties! I then stated that I would go ahead and pay out of pocket price for that one prescription so that I could get it filled and just not worry about insurance coverage on that one since that was a problem. I was told by Arial that they could not do that due to Safeway Company Policy. I then explained to her how that made no sense since this was a prescription that was already on file with them, that they had been submitted an electronic filing for that particular prescription from my doctor and that this was not any brand-new prescription... being that I had that one filled for over 2 years now at this location! I was again told it was company policy and I would have to come back. I then asked to speak to the Pharmacist to discuss this problem at a higher level. I was not provided the name of this lady upon her arriving at the counter and she did not offer her name. She only commenced to parrot the same company policy statement that Arial had stated. I tried to explain to her the commonsense issue here and how it should not matter how I pay for my legal prescription as they have it on file, had spoken with my doctor already and had verified it as a legitimate prescription awaiting filling! I was then threatened with them calling the police if I did not leave because she didn't like my level or tone of voice! I told her go ahead and call them as I had not done anything wrong and she didn't have to approve of my voice level or wording, only that she needed to do her job! I also stated how they had wasted a massive amount of my time and fuel with all the traveling back and forth for my prescriptions and countless phone calls to attempt to solve the problem which they had created! After being threatened with calling the police again, I told them hell with them and left! I am now considering legal action due to the mental stress wasted fuel and time, and the medical problems which I am now experiencing due to being without my prescriptions for an extended period of time, and threats of police calling which I was faced with by these employees for Safeway Pharmacy. This is beyond unacceptable, and I will not rest till this matter is dealt with properly and solved to my satisfaction! These employees should be fired!

Safeway Security

Hi Every time my husband or me husband and I come in to safeway and the female security guard is there she harasses him and when asked for her name she wouldn't give it to either of us and is very rude. We don't understand why and she don't give a reason we don't have a problem when any other security guards is working just her. It's been happening for over a well over A month now.

Safeway Cake from bakery

I orders a cake from the bakery for my daughters 16th birthday dinner party and picked a design out of the provided picture book located at the register. I was to pick up the cake at 10 am 11/26/2023 I arrived at the bakery at 10 am and there was no one behind the counter I waited for about 5 min and asked an employee in the meat meat dept could they page someone which they did I then waited back at bakery for another 10 min before asking another employee to again page someone to the bakery none came I waited another 10 min and went to the customer service desk where there was no one at the customer service desk and I was waiting there for 5 min until the severity guard paged for customer service no one came. I then asked a cashier at the register was there a store manager because I’d been waiting at the bakery for over 25 min she offered to help me once she finished up with a customer checking out I went back to the bakery and waited for the cashier for another 5 min she was able to retrieve the cake for me which looked terrible! It looked nothing close to the picture in the book. This all caused me to be late to my engagement as well as a terrible cake I’ve included picture of the cake as well as the cake from the book that showed the fondue dots I asked for and receipt as well. I assumed that picking a cake from the available book at the register meant that it could be accomplished the caked looked rushed and a mess the dots were not flat and all different shapes.

Safeway Cashier / checkout

on Friday, December 17th, 2023, at 5:31pm at Alameda, CA 94501 location. Store number 2708.
I was at checkout with the following items: two 4PK Cutwater Vodka

I used Samsung pay from my phone to pay for items, it didn't go through. The cashier named Canessa insisted that I try again with my Samsung pay option. I did. It works. but said to me, and I quote, "The electronic payment system does not work for CERTAIN PEOPLE". I myself, being an African American male, read her. As she was covertly implying that the machine does not work for people of my race. I felt very offended by it. I felt targeted for humiliation. Please further investigate and remedy the situation and notify me of the results at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

Safeway Security guards

On November 28 at 11:04 pm took place a one of the most insulting moments in my life with a physical aggression to my person when one African American security guard grabbed my bag pulling trying to take it from me while him and another security guard laughed at me accusing me of stealing meet and ask him to let go my bag refusing to let go the bag was pulling hurting my neck and totally unprofessional denigrating and agresive I told him Let my bag go and I will show you what I got in my bag he Threatened me to put me on the ground ignoring that recently I had multiple surgeries on my right leg was in to I put my phone out and I started recording till he ask me are you recording me I responded yes and I'm going to sue you because I know my rights plus I'm not taking anything I started walking to the exit responding to their insults I told them I'm going to sue your a# fu$%# PC of sh! t punk a$ mother fuc×$ the skinny security that looks like India 🇮🇳 person keep following me insulting me and is the 1st time that I have to go to this store because the other store close early I think this is humiliating, insulting,100% unprofessional and the most important thing is very dangerous due to the low capacity to deal with a situation we're they only chosen who they wanna mess with thinking is funny forgetting that is families who got children who have to witness situations like this were has to be performed in the most professional way for the good of the customers and the store who now is going to be responsible for the outcome when I talk to an attorney to give me the opportunity to speak and put those criminals prete ding to be security guards. Safeway I fell on the slippery floor

On the morning of Nov. 25 at the Safeway at Prince and Campbell in Tucson I fell on the slippery floor just a couple of feet from an employee. I shouted for help but she completely ignored me. I am a frequent customer at this store and have had problems with this employee in the past after several poor service decisions she made and to which I sadly reacted poorly. I am aware that she does not like me. A customer come by and generously helped me to my feet. I looked over at the employee who continued to ignore me. I asked her why she didn't help me off the floor. She answered rudely saying she didn't hear me scream which of course was not true.

I find now that my knee has been compromised from the fall and needs medical attention. I have never had this kind of problem before.

I am asking here for your response to my complaint.

Desired outcome: Response, apology. Determination of what you think my injury and your employee lack of concern is worth.

Safeway Account disabled!

My husband and I are mobility-challenged seniors. We were so happy when Safeway in Edmonton started Voila, a delivery service of groceries. I got online and tried to set up delivery with a password, and I was shocked to get this message: ACCOUNT DISABLED. What? We never disabled our account — we never had one except air miles, the former Safeway points link. We have an excellent credit rating. I contacted customer service — they said they wold investigate and get back to me. That was several months ago. I heard nothing! So I thought, maybe the matter has been resolved. I tried again today — setting up a Voila account. ACCOUNT DISABLED! It is like that Seinfeld episode with the Soup Nazi. NO SOUP FOR YOU!

Safeway Safeway never got back to me

I went through self check out. I forgot to put in my discount phone number. I was buying Viva wiping towel that were on sale. I told the checker lady. She had me sign a receipt because she checked me out again with my discount number. Long story short I ended up paying twice $33.38. When I had checked my bank and realized what had happened I went to the complaint window and complained, they wanted the receipt which I did not have, they wanted the time and the machine. They did not care and never got back with me although they had promised. I then began shopping at Lucky, but thought the checker packers were rude, so I started back at Safeway thinking at least they were nice, but today in the self checkout line the light went on because of confusion with the lettuce. When the check out lady came to check instead of helping right away she began checking through my bags like I was a thief as the security guard watched. This was highly insulting. I asked her what was the doing. She said it was her job to do it. She had an attitude. This is the type of thing that turns people around.

Safeway Respect to loyal daily customers

Today 11/14/23 I was going to Safeway as I do every night to get Starbucks when I went to pull into a parking spot in between a black SUV and the curb when two employees came walking through the parking spot wearing black hoodies in the dark as I’m pulling into the spot I had to swerve to miss hitting them my car hit the curb and as I’m getting out of my car, the mail employee Aiden, who is now the dairy manager at Wilsonville told me to watch where I’m [censored]ing driving and he was with his girlfriend Jace, who is a barista at Starbucks .

Safeway Employee

I went in to safeway at 1:00pm Thursday November 9th and bought a small pint of ice cream and went and payed for it and instead paying for a bag for just one thing I put it and receipt in my front pocket of my hooded sweatshirt and then went a bought a 20$ scratch ticket. So as I'm walking out a lady who worked there saw it in my pocket and instead of asking me if had a receipt she just tried grabbing it out of my pocket. I jumped back and said woo what r u doing don't touch me. The receipt had fallen to the ground by that point and she just says o u got a receipt and just turned and walked away. No apology or anything. A few other customers that saw were even like wow that's no way to treat a customer. It was a very disturbing situation. I don't know all of the grocery stores laws but I can't imagine they are allowed to try and grab stuff out of customers pockets or grab customers in any way.. the whole thing just felt wrong and bothered me all day at work.

Good morning,

On September 17th, 2023 I bought a Vanilla gift card for my grand daughter at the Albertson store in Roseburg, OR for $50.00. When she went to use it she got a message that said something went wrong. She tried to put a code but it still did not work. I went to the store to see if they would make it work or get a refund. They said they do not give refunds on cards and they gave me a [protected] number to call. I called and spoke with Wanda and she said she could not help me either and gave me this email address to start my complain. I would like to have a refund of my money. I ended up giving my teenage grand daughter another $50.00 so now I'm out $100.00. Please get back to me with a solution on how to get my money back. I have attached a copy of the receipt that shows my purchase for the card and fees.

Safeway Store 3011 petaluma - shopping there is a miserable experience.

Today I was a customer at store 3011 at 15:05 REF [protected], however my complaint is based not only on today but on recent past experiences at this store. Today's shopping experience was typical:

I was attempting to get a shopping cart out of the outdoor concrete walled storage area. The entrance was blocked by two employees of Safeway who were carrying on a conversation and blocking the entrance. I was standing right next to one of the employees, being ignored, invisible. I finally just found a way to get a cart and edge around them.

I walked 3/4 of the way down an aisle and needed to go to the next aisle. An employee had the entire aisle blocked, half with a cart and half with his body. When I stopped to get past, the employee gave me a withering look and he crawled across the floor on his knees groaning loudly and dramatically. It was quite startling to witness.

At checkout, without realizing it, I startled putting my groceries on an express line belt for 15 items and I had about 20 items. Why the only indicators of express lines are at a height of several feet above eye level, and no indicators of "15 items or less" are at the level of the belt, I cannot understand. It makes too much sense, I suppose.

Anyway, the cashier admonished me, and I offered to take the items off the belt and move. I had about 20 items, and no one was behind me, so she said I didn't have to remove my items this time, using a disapproving tone. She rung up my items. I started to load my items into my bags and she just looked at me and she proceeded to watch me pack up my own bags until I asked for help. It has been my experience that I usually need to pack my own bags at this store because there are few if any baggers, but to expedite matters offering to help the customer seems logical and expedient.

In summary, this store has poorly trained employees reluctantly doing their jobs and treating the customer like an intruder in their store. Seems like a poor business model to me. That's why I prefer to go to Trader Joe's for any item I need that they sell, and I only go to Safeway for the items not sold at Trader Joe's. Going to Trader Joe's is a pleasant experience for the customer. The employees there are kind, helpful bag the groceries, and know their products - and they don't treat customers like unwelcomed intruders in their store.

Desired outcome: I would like to have a pleasant customer experience at this store. It is located in a convenient location for me and carries the items I like to purchase.

Safeway Endless amount of casual shoplifting

I've been shopping at Safeway store 2448 for 10 years now, the endless amount of young scumbags just casually walking out the door with stolen stuff, strolling without a care in the world of being stopped has gotten out of control, as the rest of us pay to watch 4 or 5 just walk out needs to end. There was always a Portland Police car there one a day picking up the one or two thieves, then Safeway gave into false pitty, this thinking it's bad to arrest the unfortunate has swung to far away, now us honest tax paying citizens are the minority.. Safeway needs to toughen back up and place employees and customers first, [censored] drug addicts. pampering is not the way.

Desired outcome: Stop the shoplifting,let second their jobs again...

Safeway Razer gift card

Bought a $300 Razor Gift Cards at Albertson’s on White Ln., Bakersfield according to the company something is wrong with it from your store they cannot fix it. You are the only one I have reported it ticket number 155022. Purchased on 10 1723 at 11:29 AM register two I would like my money back immediately, that would be nice .
