RushCard / UniRush - Refusal to supply written correspondence

Weeks before the owner of a Rushcard account died, and because he was in several different medical facilities, he gave his card (and authorization for its use) to his son. The phone number and address information were updated to a PA address since the cardholder was not going to be returning to his residence in DE. Rushcard was supposed to send account...

RushCard / UniRush Unreliable and Confusing: My Experience with RushCard

about them on their website! The website is slow and confusing, and it's hard to find the information you need. The fees are also high, and they keep changing them without warning. I've had to pay extra fees for things I didn't even know I was being charged for. The card itself is also not very reliable. I've had it declined at stores for no reason, and it's been a hassle to get it fixed. Overall, I would not recommend RushCard. There are better prepaid card options out there with better customer service and lower fees.

RushCard / UniRush Nightmare Experience with RushCard: Fraudulent Charges and No Customer Service

My experience with RushCard has been a complete nightmare. My card has been charged fraudulently multiple times from overseas and I have been trying to get in touch with someone from their customer service team for days now. As a disabled person, it has been extremely difficult for me to deal with this situation without any help from RushCard. I have tried emailing them and calling them, but no one has responded to me yet. It's frustrating to not have any form of communication from them when I need it the most.

To make matters worse, I know someone else who has had a terrible experience with RushCard as well. A tenant in my building tried to switch to a new card and ended up losing $300 of her own money. She has emailed them her social security number, license, and other personal information, but still hasn't received any help from them. It's unbelievable that a company can be so unresponsive and unhelpful to their customers.

In my opinion, RushCard is run by Satan himself. I would advise anyone to stay away from this company if they value their money and their sanity. The lack of customer service and the fraudulent charges are just not worth the hassle. I hope that others can learn from my experience and avoid the same mistakes that I made.

RushCard / UniRush Disappointing Experience with RushCard: Double Fees, Poor Customer Service, and Account Closure Issues

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with RushCard. They charge you a fee, and then the retailer charges you a fee too! It's like they're double-dipping or something. And don't even get me started on their customer service. You can't talk to a real person on the phone unless you've lost your card. What kind of nonsense is that? And forget about a live chat feature. It's like they don't even want to help you out.

But here's the real kicker. If you get down to a zero balance and try to close your account, they send you some scripted message saying that your account will close eventually. And of course, they have these "inactivity" fees, so while you're waiting for their system to close your account, you're getting hit with even more fees! It's like they're trying to trap you or something.

Honestly, I think these people belong in jail. I've already contacted the CFPB and the Texas Attorney General and lodged a formal complaint against them. And if they don't shape up, my next action will be to get my attorney involved. It's just not right to treat people this way.

RushCard / UniRush Frustrated with RushCard: Late Deposits, Hidden Fees, and Poor Customer Service

I'm really frustrated with RushCard. It seems like they're always trying to take advantage of people. They take forever to post deposits, and I don't understand why my deposits are getting later and later every month. It would be so much easier if they just set a date and stuck to it. But of course, they have no problem charging that monthly fee. I've been using RushCard since 2010, and I never had any problems until recently. They even cheated me out of over $50 a few months ago. I'm thinking about reporting them to the BBB and FTC. I can't keep dealing with this. Russell Simmons needs to get it together! It's frustrating because it's not just RushCard, it seems like a lot of companies run by black folks have these kinds of issues. It's not a good look for our community.

RushCard / UniRush Rushcard Review: A Hassle to Get Your Own Money

This card is the worst, it's caused me so many problems financially. They won't even fund my account with a big deposit I got from the government. Rushcard held onto my funds until I could prove where they came from. I sent them a letter of verification and remittance letter, along with my ID, like they asked. But then they sent my funds back to the sender after telling me they'd release them in one to two days because my verification was approved.

I really wanted to like this black-owned company, but I just can't. This is the second time I've had to send in my identification to get my own money. It's just too much of a hassle to get what's mine from this card. I suggest you save yourself the trouble and money and get a real bank account or use a credit union instead.

RushCard / UniRush RushCard Rejected Our Tax Refund - Netspend Would Have Been a Better Choice

I gotta tell ya, RushCard ain't no good when it comes to handling your hard-earned cash. If you're thinking about using them to get your tax refund, think again. They straight up rejected our refund because they said it was "too much". Can you believe that? Netspend, on the other hand, has a higher limit and I should have gone with them from the get-go.

We gave RushCard all the documents they asked for, but they still couldn't get their act together. It took us two whole days to sort everything out because their reps couldn't figure out what they needed from us. One of them even said we needed to send in a 1080 instead of a 1040. Come on now, get it together!

Because of all this nonsense, the IRS said it's gonna take them another 5-10 weeks to resend our refund. And get this, they can't even send it back to our account, they gotta send us a check. The IRS rep even said that RushCard shouldn't have done that because they delayed our already delayed tax return. And all this happened during a freaking pandemic when people are just trying to make ends meet.

My husband's been with RushCard for over 7 years, but after this fiasco, he's done. And I don't blame him one bit.

RushCard / UniRush Disappointing Experience with RushCard: Account Closure and Inconvenience

I've been a loyal user of RushCard for years now, relying on it for my direct deposit. However, one day I was in for a rude awakening. I had just finished work and decided to stop by the grocery store to pick up a few things. When I went to pay with my RushCard, it was declined. I was confused and asked the cashier to swipe it again, but it was declined once more. This was strange because I had never had any issues with my RushCard before. My payroll was always deposited three days early, and I had never had to call and confirm a deposit status.

I immediately went outside to my car and called customer care to find out what was going on. I was informed that my deposit had been returned to the sender. I was shocked and confused. I had never experienced anything like this before. The customer service representative then proceeded to give me another call, and after a long and frustrating conversation, I finally got to the bottom of the situation. Apparently, my account had been closed due to fraudulent activity, which had never happened.

It took me seven long days to sort out the issue, and during that time, I was left without access to my funds. It was a stressful and frustrating experience, to say the least. A few days later, I received a letter in the mail from RushCard, asking me to contact them. I did so, and they apologized for the inconvenience and offered to open a new account for me over the phone with a $1 credit. I was not impressed with this offer, as it seemed like a paltry sum considering the trouble I had gone through. I declined the offer, as I did not want to risk my bills being late again.

Overall, my experience with RushCard was not a positive one. While I had been a loyal customer for years, the way they handled my situation left a lot to be desired. I hope that they can improve their customer service and security measures in the future to prevent situations like mine from happening again.

RushCard / UniRush RushCard's Terrible Customer Service and Incompetence in Handling Fraudulent Transactions

My account got hacked on July 27th from an online order that I did not authorize. I called RushCard to tell them about the transaction error and that I didn't authorize the transaction. They told me that all I would have to do is file a dispute and they would put the old card on hold. They said they would be issuing me a new card, but that was 7 to 10 days ago. Another 7 to 10 days have passed and they still haven't sent it out. They told me today that it will be another seven to ten days. I'm about to lose my car and my rent is late. I've never been late because of their error. They should have told me that they were not sending me my card while the dispute was going on, but they never relayed that information to me. Now they're trying to charge me $5 for a replacement card that I never received in the first place. They were supposed to issue me another card once I got my money out of this mess.

I have been a customer of RushCard for over 20 years, but they don't give a darn about my situation. They don't care that I had nothing to do with this. RushCard stinks. Their website is terrible and their customer service reps hang up on you. They act like they don't care about their 20-year customers. I'm going to close my account once I get my money out of this mess. Don't do business with them. You're going to be in a world of trouble if you do. Don't have any transactions on your account that you don't know anything about because you'll be going through this for over a month. The hell with RushCard.

RushCard / UniRush Rushcard Review: Missing SSI Deposits, Frustration, and No Resolution in Sight

I been with Rushcard since 2010 and it's been smooth sailing until recently. I got two cards, one for each of my boys' SSI benefits. Last month, on September 27th, I got a deposit for the October payment. When I checked my account through the app, only one child's payment posted, but not the other. It wasn't supposed to come until the 1st, so I waited. I reached out to Rushcard after it didn't post the next day. They told me to wait 1 to 2 business days. I waited... I ended up reaching out to SSA and they told me on their end it's clear. So I called Rush again. They told me it was received but for some reason did not post. They told me they would escalate this to cooperate and to wait 1 to 2 days. I reached out again, and this time they told me it was never a deposit for that amount. You can only imagine my frustration! They again told me to wait 1 to 2 days so they could fix it. Long story short, I still haven't received the deposit for September, and it's now going into November. Rush claims they have no idea what happened. I called SSA to change my bank account. They confirmed with me that it was switched. Fast forward to October 26th, apparently SSA lied to me because it went to the same account. Yesterday, I was supposed to have received the November payment again, one child posted, the other did not. I reached out to Rushcard, and they told me the same thing that it was received but not posted, and they would escalate it. Now I am missing two deposits, and no one will help me! Please share this; I NEED HELP! I have proof of everything I said and more!

RushCard / UniRush Unreliable and Unhelpful: My Disappointing Experience with RushCard

If you're in the market for a safe and reliable debit card, I would advise you to steer clear of RushCard. My recent experience with them has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. On January 7th, I noticed a transaction on my account that I did not authorize. It was for a company called Park Mobile in Atlanta, Georgia. I immediately Googled the company's name while on the phone with a RushCard representative, and we both discovered that it was a scam. I was shocked that RushCard had allowed this transaction to go through without my authorization.

The next day, I called RushCard to report the unauthorized transaction and was told that I would need to have a new card sent out. I was given the option of standard mail or expedited shipping for $35. I was outraged that I would have to pay for a new card that I did not authorize to be used. I chose standard mail, but the representative took it upon themselves to charge me $35 anyway. When I called back to speak to someone else about the situation, I was told that RushCard's policy was not to refund the $35.

Since Russell Simmons sold the company, I have noticed an increase in unauthorized transactions on my account. RushCard representatives have told me that there is nothing they can do until I sign paperwork for a claim. However, I have been having trouble downloading the paperwork they sent me via email. It seems like RushCard is making it difficult for me to retrieve my own money.

As a loyal customer since 2008, I am extremely disappointed in the way RushCard has handled this situation. They claim to understand their customers, but how can they when they don't even know our financial situations? It seems like big corporations like RushCard make it difficult for us to retrieve our own money, while thieves who steal from us face no consequences.

I would strongly advise against getting a RushCard. There are other debit card companies out there that are more safe and reliable. I have had no issues with my Green Dot or Bank Mobile cards. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, and I hope that none of you have to go through what I have with RushCard. Stay blessed and stay safe.

RushCard / UniRush Disappointing Experience with RushCard: ATM Withdrawal Gone Wrong and Poor Customer Service

So, I had this experience with RushCard. I went to the ATM to get my $220, but the money didn't come out. It's been more than a week now, and they still haven't given me my money back. I'm so frustrated! I mean, what's the point of having a card if you can't even get your money when you need it?

I tried calling their customer service, but it was a nightmare. I was on hold for what felt like forever, and when I finally got through to someone, they were not helpful at all. They just kept telling me to wait and that they were looking into it. I mean, how long does it take to look into something like this?

I'm really disappointed with RushCard. I thought it would be a great alternative to a traditional bank account, but now I'm not so sure. I mean, if they can't even get something as simple as an ATM withdrawal right, how can I trust them with my money?

Overall, I would not recommend RushCard to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go with a traditional bank account instead. At least you know your money is safe and secure.

RushCard / UniRush RushCard Review: A Decent Prepaid Card Option with Unique Features and Plans

I recently signed up for RushCard and I gotta say, it's pretty decent. I was hesitant at first because I've had some bad experiences with other prepaid cards, but so far, so good. The website is easy to navigate and I was able to activate my card quickly.

One thing I like about RushCard is that they offer a lot of different plans to choose from. I went with the Pay As You Go plan because I don't use my card that often, but if you use your card more frequently, they have plans with lower fees.

I also appreciate that RushCard offers some features that you don't typically see with prepaid cards. For example, you can set up direct deposit and get your paycheck up to two days early. You can also use the RushCard app to check your balance, view transactions, and even pay bills.

Now, I will say that there have been a couple of times where I've had issues with my card. For example, one time I tried to use it at a gas station and it got declined even though I knew I had money on it. But, I called customer service and they were able to resolve the issue pretty quickly.

Overall, I think RushCard is a solid option if you're looking for a prepaid card. Just be aware that there may be some hiccups along the way, but that's to be expected with any financial product. And, whatever you do, don't bother with Green Dot or Credit Karma - they're both garbage.

RushCard / UniRush Beware of RushCard: My Experience with Their Security Issues

RushCard ain't all that great, y'all. I had a real bad experience with 'em recently. Seems like they got some security issues goin' on. One of their own employees went and used my credit card to buy a bunch of Google Music stuff. I mean, what the heck? I never even got my money back, either. That employee straight-up stole hundreds of dollars from me. And get this: it happened just last month. I been usin' RushCard for like twelve years, too. Can you believe that? So yeah, I gotta say, y'all should be careful if you're thinkin' about signin' up with RushCard. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

RushCard / UniRush RushCard Review: Convenient Prepaid Card with Some Customer Service Issues

up for a while. But once you get past that, it's aight. I like that I can use it to pay bills and stuff without having to go to the bank or use a check. Plus, the fees ain't too bad compared to other prepaid cards I've used before. The customer service is hit or miss though. Sometimes they're helpful, other times they act like they don't know what's going on. Overall, RushCard is aight if you need a prepaid card and don't mind the initial hassle of loading money.

RushCard / UniRush RushCard's Customer Service Needs Improvement: Frustrating Experience Waiting for Refund

Yo, so I had some bogus charges on my RushCard and they gave me my money back even though my account was already closed. Like, who does that? But now I'm waiting on a replacement check and it's been three whole months since I asked for my refund. Every time I talk to customer service, they say they'll take care of it, but I still haven't gotten my money. It's straight up frustrating, man. RushCard needs to step up their game and get their stuff together.

RushCard / UniRush Disappointing Terms and Fees: Our Experience with RushCard

So, my wife and I decided to give RushCard a try, but we were disappointed with the terms and fees. It seemed like Russel Simmons was just trying to make more money off of people who don't have credit cards. We weren't impressed with the pre-paid debit card concept in general.

However, we did appreciate the convenience of being able to load money onto the card and use it like a regular debit card. It was also nice that there were no credit checks required to sign up for the card. But, we were disappointed with the fees for things like ATM withdrawals and balance inquiries.

Overall, we wouldn't recommend RushCard to others. There are better options out there with lower fees and better terms. We think that Russel Simmons should focus on using his fame and connections to help people, rather than just trying to make more money off of them.

RushCard / UniRush Disappointing Customer Service: My Experience with RushCard

I used to think RushCard was a great company, but something changed when they switched banks. They just don't seem to care about their customers anymore. I had a fraud case that needed to be looked into, but there was no customer support available. I tried calling and using the app, but no one was there to help me out. It seems like all they care about now is collecting their fees. If you're thinking about using RushCard, I would say don't waste your time. If something goes wrong or you have a question, they're not going to be there for you. It's really disappointing because I used to recommend them to my friends and family, but now I wouldn't even consider it.

RushCard / UniRush Terrible Customer Service and Lengthy Investigation - My Experience with RushCard

So, I gotta tell ya, I had a pretty rough time with RushCard. I mean, I found out on December 1st of 2022 that there were like 20 charges on my card that I didn't make. I was pretty freaked out, you know? I mean, that's a lot of money! So I called them up and let me tell you, the customer service was not great. They were pretty rude to me, to be honest.

Anyway, they cancelled my account like I asked them to, but then they sent me another card. Which, you know, I appreciated, but when I tried to activate it, it wouldn't work. Turns out they won't let me have another account until they finish their investigation. And get this - that could take up to 90 days! That's like half a year! And in the meantime, I'm out $525. That's a lot of money, man. I can't even pay my utilities now.

I mean, I get that they have to investigate and all that, but come on. It's not like I did anything wrong. I'm just a regular person trying to make ends meet. And now I'm stuck without any money for who knows how long. It's just not fair, you know? I wouldn't recommend RushCard to anyone after this experience.

RushCard / UniRush RushCard Review: Account Frozen Since 2018, No Help From Customer Service or Authorities

I been using RushCard for a while now and I gotta say, it ain't all sunshine and rainbows. I had a problem with my account getting frozen and it's been like that since 2018. I got over $4k in there and I can't even touch it. I tried contacting the Office for Comptroller Currency, BBB, and even the Governor's office, but they ain't helping me out. It's like they don't care about my money.

Russell Simmons, the guy who started this company, should be ashamed of himself. He built this company up and now it's just a bunch of $#*!. Even though he sold it, he should still take responsibility for what's happening.

The worst part is that no one speaks English when you call them up. You gotta talk to them through email and they don't even answer your questions. It's like they don't even care about their customers.

I'm so fed up with this company that I'm seeking legal help to get my money back. It's just not right that they can hold onto my money like this.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend RushCard to anyone. It's just not worth the hassle. There are plenty of other companies out there that actually care about their customers and won't freeze your account for no reason.
