Regions Financial Debit card

We were on fumes coming home and pulled into last gas station for twenty two miles. We had waited a gas was 22 cents less a gallon. We had money in account, but bank declined card despite the fact funds were in account, and overdraft protection in place. We ran card three times, but declined all three times. We got text message five minutes later down the road, card was declined to protect back because they flagged it, despite having used gas station numerous times and only 35 miles from house. When I called and asked for supervisor I was told bank will flag sometimes to protect card holder. There was no reason to flag this card and it caused great hardship for us running out of gas on a school night and what a celebration turned onto a horrible night. Bank accepted no responsibility at all, we lost hours of time and used one of our aaa calls. This should not have happened.

Regions Financial A manager speaking to a customer in a horrible manager, being lied on and receiving no help at all.

The absolute worse branch that I have ever experienced in my life. The manager here is beyond disrespectful, she loves her power and throwing it around, she speaks to others as if they are nothing, her and her staff lie on customers and do not take responsibility for what they do or how they treat customers. When ask her name she told me and expressed no one would do anything to her. The manager here is absolutely horrible and disgusting as a woman and how she handles herself professionally. She has definitely done this before because she did this was such ease. She cut me off, would not let me speak and told me she would not do anything. She did not even try. I would advise anyone to open an account at this location, do not seek any help from this location and honestly the manger here along with her staff honestly need to be held accountable for how rude, degrading, disrespectful, and insensitive they are. A absolute horrible representation for Regions bank. But the manager and staff member at my branch has done everything that they can to help me and know me and that I have never once been the way that this other person treated me in minutes.

Regions Financial Closing my card causing me to lose income and cause more hardship

I’ve been banking with you for years never overdraft my acct because me and my wife make good income however we have 5 kids and she’s recovering from an car accident with an tow truck that hit her head on back in late April beginning of May I explained my situation and one of the bank reps waived my fees because I needed it to keep our utilities on. Soon after things turned for the worst I literally just was fired from a job I was just hired for my second job that I needed to catch up on bill because you guys kept closing out my cards having me calling daily spending hrs on the phone my wife stranded at the gas station with the kids can’t get gas because card closed and bank is no where near missed 3 days of work and I NEVER miss work but had no choice no gas in my truck to get to and from work and she missed 5 days because she couldn’t get the kids back and forth to babysitter lost her job but was rehired on a final written for attendance the card would stop working out of no where cart full of groceries balance 1500 but card declined kids needing things card declined funds available and you guys are closed and card online showing cancelled after just using card 5 mins prior over a 1000 of our paycheck lost because of a old # was receiving the text after 10 calls to you hrs on the phone not one rep could figure out why my card keeps closing right after every purchase verified the number that’s supposed to be on account whole time it’s an old number for 5 years ago getting txt closing my card only recommended options was to go to bank and get a new card but that wouldn’t solve anything because the new card was closed right after it was sent I called the number and the person that owns the number now thought it was fraud from their acct because they had you at one point and was replying no causing my card to shut off when trying to over draft once to get one fee you decline all but approve small charges with big repayment fee and I have no choice because I’m facing a big hardship try to catch-up card I wouldn’t recommend reps don’t care like ok there’s nothing I can do when the entire time it was verify it’s the correct number getting the message only verified one never knew it was a second number on the acct imagine heading to work and can’t gas up your car imagine stranded at a gas station with 5 kids for 3 hrs because your bank closed your card causing you to miss work crying babies at home needing milk but unable to because card just closed suddenly the bank closed and nothing I can do reps show no sympathy just ok sorry that happened but I can’t do anything to help you no options for zell pay to Transfer funds to another acct if I was given that option and knew it was instant transfer we wouldn’t have gone through all of this we have no support from family in fl or friends that’s why we work hard but this banking has taught me a big lesson

Regions Financial ATM Services

The ATM at the location on Dauphin Island Parkway, mobile ,al is always out of service. This location is convenient for me is why I chose this location. I work during your hours of operation, so the ATM is how I do all my banking. This is very frustrating and it has cost me alot of money and has caused me to be overdrawn. This is atleast twice a week.

Desired outcome: Have this ATM serviced regularly or replace it. Or I'll change banks.

Regions Financial Checking account

My card is blocked at least once a day. This is no exaggeration. They block at retailers I spend money at 100 times or never at all. I always have anxiety about whether my card is going to work or not. The only solution offered to me was to write and hand delivered letter stating that I dont want fraud monitoring but not at the expense of my account functioning and as an entity I can rely on. There is 55k in my bank account but they are worried about a $200 charge? This isn't fraud prevention. Are other members of regions being treated this way as well? This specific incident happened on 03/29/2023 twice but has been going on for 2 months scince I moved back to Regions. What can I possibly do for a favorable outcome but still have fraud protection? Everyone I have dealt with has been polite and accommodating by no one will take responsibility for the failure of their software

Regions Financial Service to my mothers account

February 24 2023 approximately 4:00pm

Bank officer and asst accused her son of trying to abscond with her funds. He is not even on her signature card. When asked to cash a check, she owed money to her son the teller cashed the check and directed by bank officer to put the money in two envelopes. One with her sons name on it and the other with her name. Then the bank officer refused to issue two debit cards on her account. The bank also referred her son to adult protective services and the FTC. Now I witnessed a bank officer remove my mother’s safety deposit box, there were 3 boxes in the room also that belonged to another bank customer. She removed the boxes and placed them in the lobby. At which time the bank customer looked in their boxes in the lobby. The customer left the bank and the boxes remained in the lobby with bank customer’s were coming and going. I would say the safty deposit boxes sit in the lobby for the better part of 20 minutes unattended. With seeing that I don’t trust that branch. I’m attaching a photo of the boxes. It’s about a trust issue and bank personnel not minding their own business and not performing the services requested.

My name is christopher baez and recieve my direct deposits to regions bank in madison alabama 35756 code.. Loan # [protected]... Address 12939 dickens lane madison alabama... I own this property cash since 2021 oct 1st... Target distribution wires weekly direct deposit and applied for a loan with a keneshia giles on 2/14/2023 and she is always not available due to her personal issues...

I am not mad the loan was declined but not happy about her customer service..

I spent alot of time forwarding 5 years of tax returns and pay stubs and w-2 forms along with deed for this property with no response from her and had to speak to her boss because she always has family issues... I feel she is looking for low hanging fruit and think you should address that issue because other banks are hungry now... Keneshia giles/another name she emails me with is suspect... Thank you in advanc

Regions Financial Customer service discrimination

I received a large check in the mail. I deposited the checked in my Regions account and understood that there would be a waiting period for the check to clear. The check cleared and the funds became available, however they locked my account, when there were not any flags on the account. The check was deposited the end of November 2022. The funds became available on December 8th, 2023. The account is still locked, and I have been given the run around and a bunch of lies about the funds. I am sure if I was a white customer, I would not be enduring this. I will be filing a discrimination lawsuit against Regions Bank, this has been going on for three months.

Desired outcome: News media coverage, I would like my account unlocked and my funds released immediately.

I'm having problems with my region to count also I'm not black but I'm old and I think they discrimimate against elders. I have been scammed and they are no help whatsoever in fact it's almost like they're laughing at me ! I'm very upset after being a customer for over 30 years

Regions Financial Secured loan and the way its used.

I put up $2000 of my money for a secured loan something I did; not need but I listened to a banker and did it anyway after I made a payment I realized this I did not need it, after that, I put in a request for them to use that $2000 I put up as collateral to pay off the remaining balance of the loan which was $1903 to me that's the way you do business at any you are not going to force me to do anything there are more banks with ethics if I can't trust you with a little I sure don't want to trust you with a lot.

Desired outcome: You should get someone who would give advice to their consumers that would benefit both the customer and the bank and not just the bank.

Regions Financial Everything

I have a checking account with Regions bank. I’ve also had a credit card and a now card. They’ve stopped me from being able to use my debit card, now card and credit card. As soon as I can get back to Florida I’m taking every penny out of their bank. The person I talked to told me I can’t use any of my money because my credit score went down. It probably did because I was in a major motorcycle accident and almost died. I had a stroke and a seizure and was put into a coma because my brain was bleeding. What I don’t understand is why can’t I use the money I’ve worked for and saved.

Regions Financial Loan Approval

I may have omitted two points below that are vital to me and I didn’t want to not be fully complete in my reply below.

1. Here is a link to a just updated Rent Roll report. I’m not sure based on the underwriters DTI # how he got to his figures but I’m no banker.

2. Sending this to you Ms Ricchetti may not have been the right person, I simply saw your name among many on the Regions Corporate web site and based on the title listed there thought you perhaps could be the right person just didn’t know, but I ask each of you (Ms Ricchetti and Mr. Downs) to please help me get this to the right people/person. I have worked too hard survived so many seemingly insurmountable obstacles since 2018 to even consider not elevating this issue. I want to be looked at considering the entirety of my issue at hand as explained in a bit more detail below.

I’m not sure of the details of how underwriting reviewed this application, but I want to inquire if there is any way I can make an appeal in some manner to someone in the Regions hierarchy.

My point is very simple and the abbreviated version for lengths sake goes like this:

On October 10, 2018 Hurricane Michael hit Bay County Florida. I sustained heavy almost catastrophic damages to every rental Property I own in Bay County totaling 7 rentals and my primary residence.

It takes years to fully recover from such an event especially for me a very small real estate investor. Throughout 2019 going into 2020 the impact of Hurricane Michael and the recovery continued. Suddenly on September 6, 2020 Hurricane Sally devastated yet another of my properties located in Chipley FL. The house took on 15-18 inches of water. The house was NOT in a flood plain so I did not purchase Flood Insurance. Still recovering from Hurricane Michael I faced catastrophic loss with NO Insurance money to help me recover. For over the next year I struggled but by November 2021 I finally completed the repairs of the home and rented it to the same tenant who occupies it today. What made this more problematic was the delay in getting the repairs started as it was drain blockages some over a mile away that caused water to back up into my property. Click here as I had an aerial video made on October 16t,h , 2020 to illustrate the issues and presented this video to the Washington County Commissioners among others in my appeal for help for not only myself but the surrounding homes. (for some reason the video on you tube starts part way through so please be sure so go back and watch this 5 minute video in its entirety). Obviously, I was not going to start the rebuilding process until the problems, very obvious, in this video were addressed. In early 2021 progress was starting to be seen so I began my push to return the home to serviceable condition and finally completed and returned it to service on November 1, 2021. Here are some pics of the house upon completion.

The reason I applied for the loan that was denied as one of the properties impacted by Hurricane Michael drain field failed. One very large dead Oak stump must be removed then a new septic tank, lift station, and elevated mound are necessary to repair the problem. It should be noted that after Hurricane Michael the water table has risen approximately 1 foot making the cost of the Hurricane Michael impacted repair even more expensive as a result the lift station is necessary and the mound must be approximately 2 feet high necessary again due to the rise in water table that surely played a part in my failed drain field and certainly made the repair more expensive. The cost of the septic work alone is $15,400.00 and this does not include adding a power pole for the lift station to be powered. (This necessary as it’s a duplex and cannot hook to tenants power as both sides will be serviced by this single lift station).

So yes, my finances may not be as I would like them to be as it pertains to expense ratios reflected on my 2020, 2021 tax returns etc. In closing I have been a long time (Decades) customer of Regions Bank. Mr. Joshua Downs has been no less than superb for me every time I have called upon him. I cannot thank Mr. Joshua Downs enough he is an incredible, very intelligent man I trust like no other banker I’ve every known. This disapproval is not his fault nor do I fault him in anyway for the denial but based on my past history with the bank, based on the circumstances I would respectfully ask that I get reconsideration.

Regions Financial Mortgage

My process getting a mortgage loan through Regions Mortgage was horrible. I had an offer in on a house in April of 2021 and was set to close July 3rd. I showed up to my closing thinking everything was fine and I waited several hours before being told I was not able to close that day since the bank never sent out my closing disclosure on time. That mess cost me another month of storage unit fees and a mad scramble to find somewhere to live as my temporary lease was up.

My closing was delayed a total of seven days. The day of what should have been my new closing I got my closing disclosure and the amount to bring to closing was more than 5,000 what I was expecting. Once again the lender had messed up my down payment amount. I was clear time and time again I was only willing to bring a total of 53,000 to closing. If I wanted them to do the paperwork again, I would have been delayed another five days to close. At that point I was so done I paid an extra 5,000 to close.

Flash forward to 2022 and I start getting letters stating my payment was going up due to a shortage in my escrow account. I called on 12/12/2022 trying to figure out what was going on and why my payment was going up 200. I come to find out that the lender never actually paid my mortgage insurance at closing which caused my escrow account to be short. Now my payments are even higher than originally expected due to the lenders mistake not mine.

How is this even legal for the lenders to make such a mistake and then force me to pay for it for the next 24 months. I feel as if at this point the bank should pay for their mistake and eat the cost instead of charging me more money than anticipated due to their error not mine.

Desired outcome: I would like the lender to pay for the cost of the insurance they failed to pay at closing and reduce my payment back to the normal amount agreed upon at closing. I should not be held liable for their mistakes.

Regions Financial Regions to apply interest paid since August to permanent loan and provide conversion paperwork within 3 days.

Regions Mortgage has held the conversion of my construction loan hostage since July 2022. I signed completion papers with the Title Company on 8/4/22. Regions passed my paperwork from agent to agent delaying conversion further until 9/2/22. After signing documents on 9/2, it was supposed to take 3-4 days for conversion to complete. Regions again deal the process and has continued charging me construction loan interest on a matter that should have been completed in early August. Once again Regions redid the conversion paperwork and took another construction loan interest payment last week promising to have the conversion completed in 3-4 days. It’s not yet final and I cannot yet make my 1st mortgage payment. Please help!

Regions Financial On-line bill pay

I am 88yrs old. Regions updated its On-Line banking system and did not provide me with a method to receive an UNLOCK CODE.

Neither Regions nor I can unlock my account.

I cannot access my account to transfer money from my savings account or pay my bills through my checking account,

And the people at Regions Bank don't seem to care. They said to call this Phone [protected] and ask about Ticket #357425, I did and they didn't know what I was calling about.

I do not have capability to receive a text message and Only Regions can't seem to send me an E-Mail at [protected]@yahoo.com

Desired outcome: Provide me with a method to unlock my account, so I can pay my bills.

Regions Financial Region Bank frozen account

I am a PHD International student on full scholarship at the University of Alabama. I get a monthly stipend (divided in two payments per month) deposited into my account with Region Bank (the University Branch). On 10/28/2022 I tried using my debit card to purchase some coffee and it was declined stating that the account was frozen. Yesterday afternoon I went to the bank for an explanation. I was told that it was frozen for 30 days, and no additional information was given. I have only that stipend to live off of and to pay rent and food. My name is Ivan R Ivanov. Regions Financial Service

This complaint is against banker ID g6pv1 Damien Hall financial relationship consultant I deposited a little over $5,000 about a month ago and got a $300 debit card I was called the next day even though I brought in all my old banking information and an electric water and gas bill with my address was told by Damien that I had to bring in an actual lease for my house that I have lived in for 4 years to prove my address he said corporate wanted that before they could approve the card at the end of the conversation he said corporate hasn't asked for it but he just wanted to make sure I said he should have enough information he said he would call if corporate needed it that was about a month ago, I went in today to see where my card was assuming that it was okay since he hadn't called me back he looked it up and said they still hadn't been able to verify my address even though I had a state ID and all my bills from my house and the guy just totally rubbed me the wrong way from the very beginning I'm a maintenance mechanic worker blue collar and it's like they look down on you if you don't have $100,000 to deposit was just trying to get my credit up before I bought a house , was told I could withdraw my savings but would have to wait several weeks to get my 300 back that was put towards the deposit even though it wasn't accepted or even processed because of the address that's fine they can even take the $25 penalty I feel like I got out of a very bad situation as painlessly as possible who knows when they'll have my other $275 or whatever I'm sure I won't receive a phone call about that either thanks Damien for making my experience at regions and a life experience they say you don't know what you got until it's gone looks like I'm going back to First National Bank

Regions Financial Dispute the fraud transactions

Notice about unauthorized transactions again

Regions Bank:

Today,I was disappointed that my claim(s), disputing transactions on my Regions card ending in XXXXXXXXXXXX1521, was denied by Regions Bank. I cannot accept this reply.

1. The fraud transactions happened on August 10th, 2022. I found it on August 16th, 2022. During the fraud transactions, I had never received any alert notifications from Regions Bank. Without my permission, Regions Bank allowed the criminals to steal my money from my bank account.

2. I reported these fraud transactions on August 17th, 2022. My claim ID: [protected]

3. I was told that my claim was denied when I asked the progress of fraud investigation on September 21st, 2022. I was required to police department. And I reported the fraud case to the police department (shown as follows). So far, it had been 5 weeks (35 days) since the fraud claim. It should be no more than 2 weeks (15 days). Furthermore, I had never received any notifications about the investigation from Regions Bank.

4. Those transactions were real fraud and I have no responsibility for them. Regions Bank had allowed the Criminals to enter my account and to change my contact information as highlighted in pictures:

my real devices: iPhone, Redmi Note 6 Pro.

5.The fraud transactions happened in Canada (Apple store #R2 5732 Laval Qc) that I had never been there.

6. Regions Bank was responsible for the unauthorized transactions made with the fake card. The unauthorized transactions were done with “Card Purchase”. How did the criminals get the fake copy of my card? Regions Bank was responsible for this.

7. Am I still responsible for unauthorized transactions made with my card?

No, I am not. according to Regions Bank policy as follows:

For Life, Premium, Prestige, Explore, Business and Business Enhanced cards, all transactions are covered by Visa’s Zero Liability Policy. Zero Liability Policy coverage does not apply to transactions made with Life, Premium, or Prestige cards if you have been grossly negligent in handling your card or account. Zero liability policy applies to transactions made with Business and Business Enhanced cards only if we receive your notice about unauthorized transactions within 60 calendar days of the mailing date of the first statement showing unauthorized transactions.

8. The fraud transaction perfomed on the fake copy of my debit card.The law governing debit cards, though, is not quite so powerful. If a person used your debit card without your knowledge or authorization, your liability is protected by the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, which gives you the right to challenge fraudulent transactions. But you'd better act fast. As long as you alert the bank that your card was stolen or compromised before someone uses it, you won't be liable for any of the future transactions. Wait two business days after the fraud and you might have to pay up to $50. Miss that deadline and wait 60 days, and your liability increases to $500. Let 60 days pass and your liability is unlimited, which means all your money in the account that was taken might be lost for good.

Even if you do report a fraudulent debit card charge in time, reimbursement can take up to two weeks. That can put you in a precarious position. You may not have enough cash to pay for such vital expenses as your rent, mortgage, food or gas. And if it prevents you from paying your credit card and loan bills, a late payment can wind up on your credit report, which will negatively affect your credit scores.

In summary, it was very clear that the transactions I disputed was fraudulent. All of those transactions should be covered as soon as possible. I am dissatisfied with the service from Regions Bank.

Desired outcome: please refund. I'd appreciate a response and an apology

Regions Financial Branch on Broadway Phenix City AL

I visited regions bank on Whittlesy Rd in Columbus GA 8/29/22 and deposited $1000 money order. There was a 24 hour hold placed on it. On today 8/30/22 I went to the branch in Phenix city whereas its closer to my location and requested to withdraw $980 and deposit $1500. The branch manager advised the lady to place a hold until 9/8/22 on my money of 1275. So that leaves $225. I requested to still withdraw $980 and the lady said she cant because its "on hold" until 9/8 I explained the paper you gave me says $1275 and my money is showing available so why can't you? She said im sorry I just cant. I feel like this is discrimination and I will be finding a lawyer about this matter. I cant find a corporate number and im not happy with this.

Regions Financial Bank Branch in Selma Alabama TOO Small to offer efficient

The bank that has been placed in Selma at the corner of Broad Street and Highland Avenue is too small to accommodate the needs of customers in the area. Patrons of Regions Bank grew accustomed to having a large bank downtown and a smaller branch both with several drive through ATMs with access to bank employees positioned inside the brick-and-mortar local building. There is not enough space for customers to stand or sit comfortably inside the bank or socially distance themselves from others. In addition, there are not enough tellers on duty to accommodate the large number of customers who utilize the bank. This is true especially during busy times of the month such as the first and third day of each month and on Friday. I have had to wait in long lines that have extended outside of the bank on very hot days and on rainy days. Selma is not an area with a highly educated, population and many are uncomfortable completing transactions using a machine that involves inserting money and checks into the machine. To complicate matters further, many elderly citizens are unfamiliar with the technology involved and lack the skills necessary to conduct transactions using these machines. There are many complaints, but again the majority of the customers do not know how to make a complaint beyond voicing concerns to others who are waiting in line with them. Many have complained to tellers and other bank personnel at the location. However, these bank employees agree that yes, the concerns are valid, but they are in no position to make the needed changes. I witnessed customers leaving and returning to their vehicles today because of the long line that extended outside of the bank. I do not know the reason for such long lines today as this is not the first or the third day of the month, nor is it Friday. These customers were visibly angry, and many were using foul language to express their discontent. Something must be done to offer a better experience for the customers of Regions Bank in Selma, Alabama. It is my hope that this complaint will be given the time and attention necessary to investigate this matter further and make the needed changes to afford loyal patrons such as myself efficient banking services. I have considered banking with elsewhere as have others if there is no improvement. However, I thought I needed to express my discontent to allow those in a position to make a difference the opportunity to do so and at the same time possibly help others who would never utilize this avenue to express concerns.

Desired outcome: Larger bank or other locations in Selma with the staff to provide efficient service to bank customers
