We're pretty sure that if Peerless Boilers showed up wayyyy more often on ComplaintsBoard and paid more attention to reviews and complaints, it would lead to better results. But for now, the resolution rate doesn't show successful interaction with customers. We advise reviewers to be careful when communicating with Peerless Boilers and be ready for the chance your problem might not get a response. It's also good to start looking for other solutions if your issues aren't fixed as you want.

Peerless Boilers Please please give me all the information you can I have tried several times when I register at peerless boiler can't get in

Peerless boiler 7 months old ignition has gone out four times Jensen Plumbing has been here qualified technicians Woodstock Illinois. Jensen I said they don't want to deal with me anymore but I have a boiler that will not ignite we've had three different scenarios, now they think it's the damper. We're not sure it's the damper but they say I have to pay for a new one it's less than a year old so far the boiler is good when it works but when it goes out and you don't have any heat and you're 83 years old trying to get it going laying on a cement floor is not a good scenario you want to read. The biggest problem as I cannot talk to a Peerless boiler representative, it would be nice to talk to a peerless technician

Peerless Boilers Peerless combi 160 gas boiler

We have a combi 160 gas boiler, installed by a licensed professional in the winter of [protected]. This tankless unit was installed to provide our residential hot water and radiant heat. The system has never worked correctly... Always had a 'hard start' making an awful groaning noise that shook the walls of our house, that couldn't be resolved.

Over the past year, the system has become completely unreliable. It constantly displays a code of l01, which prevents it from starting and heating. Almost every professional that we called refused to work on this unit. We finally found one, who came to work on it over a month ago - he had assistance from a technician from your company. We have been reaching out to him since the problem has intensified, but he obviously isn't interested in working on it again.

For the past two weeks, we absolutely cannot keep our unit running. This results in no hot water, no heat. At first, we could hit the reset button and the unit would stay on for what seemed like one cycle. Now, hitting the reset button doesn't even work! We live in northeastern pennsylvania... It is the middle of winter and we can't get our boiler to run. We can't get a professional to come back to work on the unit. This is beyond frustrating and upsetting; but even more upsetting is that we can't get reach out to pb directly except by using the contact form, to which nobody responds.

We need help! This morning, it is 11 degrees... Can't get the unit to light. It will be in the single digits overnight for the next week. No shower... No heat! After a year of attempting to fix this latest problem, we need to replace this with something that actually works. At the time of install, this was one of the most expensive units, but was supposed to be one of the best... It has proven to have been one of the most expensive units... But didn't end up being one of the best. We need something that is dependable and something that if a need arises, a licensed professional will actually work on and be able to fix. We need to hear from someone at pb!

Desired outcome: Financial compensation

Peerless Boilers peerless boiler

I had a brand new boiler installed in 2000. When it was installed I was not told there was a registration card that had to be filled out for warranty service. Because I did not fill in that card I was told by my service company that they contacted Peerless and they would not honor their warranty. Would someone tell me why a company would not honor a warranty because someone did not fill in a warranty card. I would never buy a Peerless product again.

Peerless Boilers Purefire 210 boiler

Our first boiler was installed in 2012 and failed from a cracked heat exchanger during the winter of 2015. It was out of warranty and the contractor installed another PF210 at cost and no labor charge. We could get no support from peerless!
The second unit failed again last winter when the purge motor bearings wore out. It was making a grinding noise all winter until we shut it off for the season. This is a non serviceable motor assembly that cost over $700 to replace. Once again, out of warranty and no help from peerless. It ran for about one week and then will not ignite. The technician came out Saturday for two hours and could not get it to ignite. he gas valve is opening with correct gas pressure on the inlet and outlet sides. it does have spark but will not fire. he checked everything he possibly could without success.
I would never recommend Peerless and find their product lacks fundamental quality. The fact the bearings in the motor failed after 2 years of use is beyond belief.

Peerless Boilers Way to many problems, not user friendly at all

We wish we had never had it installed. Repair men have been out 6 times in just 1 and 1 half winter. No one is quite sure if it is ever working right. There seems to be no connection sometimes between pressing buttons and anything happening,. . . We and the repair man are always saying "just wait an hour and see what it does next', they can not agree if this "supposed to be how it works or it is broken" : i think thats what its supposed to do" whats that mean? Sometimes it fires every 3 minutes for days and then not at all for days, (Yes, same outdoor temp) the repair men are all from service plus, minnegasco. They have spent hours before admitting i just dont know if this is how its supposed to work or not. Have had 3 call backs with a master tech who doesnt quite know either. Everyone is baffled. One guy just came and left saying its working as far as he can tell. I pointed out to him that the house could not get above 49 degrees. We feel we can not leave for more than a day because we have had it quit so many times. Have had to do multiple resets. We now have all frozen pipes but they think it is probably working, but not sure. We hate it! Give us an old fashioned boiler. We are college educated professionals that have managed property, replaced numerous boilers, watched and assisted plumbers working on about a dozen projects. Their advice is hat they have to many bugs, to complex and not reliable. Every repair man can fix the old boilers, you need a rolls royce tech to fix this one and believe me you will need repairs. . .

Peerless Boilers - don't ever buy a [censor] peerless boiler

I would like to direct you to this open letter I am writing on behalf of a good friend of mine. He bought a Peerless Boiler - a fine piece of advanced, high-tech machinery designed to achieve an extremely complex task: take water that's at room temperature and... heat it. I understand that this is a crazy request. I mean, changing the temperature of water...
