PayFlex Systems USA Payment dispute

I used my PayFlex card to pay $100.00 toward the seating of a crown. I had no dental coverage on the date of service. They refuse to accept any documentation I have sent, including an itemization faxed to them by the dentist office and a statement showing them I had no dental coverage at the time. They still refuse to accept it as a valid charge. WTF kind of garbage company is this?!

Desired outcome: Accept the many pages of documentation I've sent stating the crown seating (it was a molar & not cosmetic) and stop with the threats of IRS reporting.

PayFlex Systems USA Won't approve a medical procedure.

I had a surgery done on one of my toes and I paid with my card, and since it was prior fiscal year (even though my surgery was done in 2023) I was denied for that payment to cover that procedure. Now I am told to repay the card back, which is my money already. I am contacting my benefits coordinator to get this card cancelled asap. Also, my husband tried to use the card for Advil and was declined on his purchase too. This company is a joke if they aren't going to let you use the card for a medical procedure.

Desired outcome: The medical procedure to go through since this is my money already being paid for the procedure; regardless of what fiscal year. I don't think I should have to pay the card back when its already my money that is coming out of my paycheck.

PayFlex Systems USA Payflex

I submitted the full bill from my dentist for the $800.+ crown I was having done. I didn't have dental insurance at the time. I paid for it with Care Credit. Apparently having the bill showing how much I had to pay wasn't good enough because the bill also had words like 'estimated' or 'pending'. I submitted several times online and I also faxed. I got nowhere. So when I went back to the dentist for the crown placement (first visit was the temp crown), I paid $100.00 of the remaining balance with the PayFlex card. It went through, no worries. Over a month later I get a letter stating "The IRS requires us to verify...purchase is for an eligible expense." I have to send additional info (same stuff I've sent several times already that they rejected) or they will report to the IRS that the $100. is taxable income. WTAF is wrong with these people? I will never, ever use PayFlex again.

Desired outcome: I would like a reasonable resolution from PayFlex, i.e. drop the issue & accept that I'm not trying to defraud you or whatever. I can assure you if I have my say, they won't have me as a client in the future.

PayFlex Systems USA Dependent care

This is the first time I have had to deal with daycare and my employer offers PayFlex for dependent care. I thought this would be a simple easy option for paying. I received a PayFlex card that has never worked. I spent two months trying to figure out if my card was activated or not because it was not working when I was trying to use it at my daughter's daycare. Each time I called they stated it was because the card was not activated and would send it to the activation team and wait a few days. However it still did not work.

I finally called again and became sort of rude and I was finally told the card was not working at the daycare provider because of the billing code the daycare was using. So now I needed to submit paper claims through the app.

Almost every single claim I submit gets denied at first. They want an itemized statement even though the price, dates and number of days my daughter attends is on each statement. It does not get more specific than that.

Most recently, I submitted two separate claims for my sons that are in 3rd and 1st grade. They had to go to daycare when school was closed. One was accepted and one was denied with a reason being "funds cannot be used for school tuition above kindergarten". The paper statement I submitted for the claims had all three of my kids on it - so how was one denied and the other two were accepted ON THE SAME STATEMENT. I spend over an hour chatting with customer service just for them to resubmit my denied claim for review.

It seems payflex reps and reviewers have no system for approving or denying — they just do what they want. I will NEVER recommend payflex to anyone nor will I be renewing this benefit with my employer after this calendar year.

Desired outcome: I would like for them to approve my claims! I submit the same statement with the same information every single time. There is no reason for my daycare funds tobe denied.

PayFlex Systems USA Pay Flex card issued by Aetna

Received a pay flex card in February 2023. I called the number attached to the card to activate it. I heard an announcement stating the card was activated. The truth:

Card Has never worked since receipt. Cannot get into account to establish settings because the system does not recognize me, or my card. The card will not work anywhere at any counter. I have called PayFlex multiple times, spent hours on the phone while they tried to figure the problem out. Never got requested management callbacks- its been 2 months now. This card is a SCAM.

PayFlex Systems USA CVS tens unit

I have tryed over 20 times to use this card and been denyed. I'm now thoroughly embarrassed for the number of times I've been lied to. I'm changing back to healthnet.. I've been told that these transactions have not been recorded. If so, then why not? I have spent well over 3 hr. s on the phone. I'll never deal with this sorry company again. I also plan on opening a blog about the lack of any service whatsoever. I plan on going back to my old company because I don't feel that anyone could be so impotent as payflex. Maybe you could hire someone with a little IP background. Maybe to little to late.

Desired outcome: I don't see any redemption for your company. I'm quite sure that I'm not the only client having problemçxxxxçxxxdxs with this system. Get a grip.

PayFlex Systems USA Cobra

Enrolled in Cobra 12/1/2022 and had auto pay set up each month for $776. On 3/1/23 I received letter from payflex my cobra coverage was terminated 12/31/22 but yet they continued to deduct my premium each month up to and including 3/8/23. All the while I was unaware I did not have any health insurance coverage. I have been promised a full refund back into my debit account but told I had to wait until next billing cycle. JESSICA KARN SAID IT WOULD BE REFUNDED BY 4/10/23. I have not received my money back to date and can not seem to speak to any knowledgable agent to help me. JESSICA karn was to call me back and follow up but never did! No surprise here , This company is the worst and now I will putting this in the hands of my attorney! Tired of empty promises by reps who have something different to say each time I call. Each call ranges from 45 mins to an hour of hold times. They were quick to withdraw my.money each month for coverage I didn't have and it should be just as easy to refund back to that account!

PayFlex Systems USA Dependent care benefits

This is the company my employer uses for fSA/HSA and dependent care benefits. I use the dependent care benefits. I was submitting my claims to them bi-weekly with no issues and the abrubtly they denied a claim because the receipt needed to be itemized I resubmitted and still denied. Spoke to someone via email and it was resolved now I submit my claims again they put them in status “direct deposit pending” it’s been that way for 2.5 weeks and I still have recieved no payment and they are telling me my account doesn’t have the money to cover it, which it does because the deducted the 255.00 from the 315.00 available balance I had now leaving me with 60.00 . I don’t if it’s total incompetence or what but this isn’t the way a business should run when dealing with peoples money. I keep being put I hold and basically been getting the run around I will not use this company past this benefit period

Desired outcome: Please reimburse me my funds and run your company better

They don’t give your clear guidelines. Even you submitted all requested paper, they delayed and declined my claim. I spent so much time to dealing with the company. I am so frustrated. Forget about FSA. This is my last time to use it. I will let everyone I know to not use this company. I will spend more money to sue this company. This company need punished!

PayFlex Systems USA Did not receive card for months after the effective date

I've had problems with PayFlex for both HSA and Flex Spending accounts. For 2022 I had an HSA account (effective 1/1/22) but didn't receive my card until March of 2022. For 2023, I switched to a Flex Spending account. I signed up in October for an effective date of 1/1/23. It is now late February and I still have not received my Flex Spending card. The company says they are being mailed now and should arrive by the end of February. Other companies I've worked for did not have lengthy delays like this. It sucks for all the medical expenses during the first quarter. Would NOT recommend this company if you can help it. I have no choice because of my employer.

Desired outcome: I would like my card now! Next year, if I'm with the same employer I will have to use them again. Would like to receive the card within 2 weeks of the effective date!

PayFlex Systems USA Transit reimbursement account

On several occasions, the Payflex credit card provided to me for travel reimbursement for commuting to and from work, has not worked. On such occasions, I have used my personal credit cards for those transactions and kept the receipt for reimbursement (as I do with all of my reimbursement accounts).

Now, at the end of the year, Payflex is refusing to reimburse the travel expenses I incurred last year because they did not go through the credit card, which I tried to use but was declined on 6 occasions.

As a result, Payflex now has $139 that I do not have access to and that they are refusing to reimburse me for.

Desired outcome: I need to be reimbursed for the money I spent on qualifying expenses.

PayFlex Systems USA HSA Spending Account

Payflex is clearly designed to scam people out of money. Every medical expense I paid for required documentation. Every documentation claim I filed was denied the first time. Customer service representatives are not able to clearly describe what documentation is need for claims to be processed. Customer service representatives are not able to explain why claims are denied. When customer service representatives given documentation, they are not able to confirm whether it will allow the claim to be processed. The online user interface is so poorly designed that it is challenging to navigate as someone who has a degree in software engineering. I suspect they performed user trials where they purposely made design decisions where users were most likely to give up completing tasks, so that claims would go unpaid and they could make profit.

PayFlex Systems USA HSA account / customer service

I have called PayFlex multiple times since November 2022. I started a new job and need to get information to my new employer so that they can deposit HSA funds into my HSA account. I was given a routing number that I then gave my current employer, and it was incorrect. I have called PayFlex back and advised that the routing number I was given was not correct. I could not get the customer Service agent to listen to me and finally I asked for a supervisor, and they blindly put me on hold for an extended amount of time without saying anything. A gentleman came on the phone and was helpful, I thought, as he said he was going to send me an email with the information I needed to change my address and figure out how to get this matter resolved and he has sent me NOTHING. I am now back on the phone and the customer service agent with kids screaming in the background and again they would not let me state my problem only to be put on hold again for over 16 minutes and then hung up on. I am absolutely furious at this company. The customer service is terrible, and they have no idea what they are doing. All of the paperwork states you can have anyone deposit $ into your account but the real question does anyone know how to do it?

PayFlex Systems USA Payflex FSA account suspende even I Have provided proof of medical expenses

My Account has been suspended since May of 2022. They keep requesting EOBs and proofs of payment that these are medical expenses. I have sent the required information they have asked for at least 8 times. First they say it is not legible, then they say they did not receive it. They have even gone so far as to say they received it and it is posted, and then, again it's not acceptable, and needs to be submitted again. They want money refunded. We submitted $750 for dental expenses we paid for out of our pocket; unacceptable, as there were not any EOBs to match these payments, but yet they want reimbursed monetarily. I am at the end of my wits trying to get this resolved. My wife is having surgery and I need to access my Flex account for expenses. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Desired outcome: FSA debit card turned on and for them to stop harassing me.

I agree. I have gotten my card suspended both years of having this Payflex account. I sent every document multiple times, and still no resolution. They are scamming us out of money. I have over $1000.00 on these cards that I can't use because of the unnecessary trap hole this company puts its customers in. How about taking the taxes and giving us OUR money back.

They tell you its a flexible spending account to use on medical bills, prescriptions, etc. It is not flexible whatsoever. They do not allow you to pay the bills with the card but instead make you submit documents to try and get your money back. They take forever to process the claims then deny them for any reason they can come up with. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with and should be taken out of business. I have submitted receipts, EOB's, and bills just for them to tell me they need more information. The information they ask for is clearly in the pictures or documents I give them. If you call they transfer you around until you either get fed up or disconnected then make you give all the information you just gave them over again.

Desired outcome: Give me the money that I put into the account for the medical bills....this is not your money. Make the card work to pay the bills and not make me jump through countless hoops to get MY money back.

They have been taking $5 from my account every month for 2 years. When I finally realized and questioned about it, they said it is for maintenance fee to keep my account open. This is unacceptable because I did not have this information before. They said when I opened this account I automatically consented to all the terms. They also deducted $25 for account closure.

ABSOLUTE WORST. Payflex is a SCAM. They make it very easy to enroll - so they can take your money. Then they do everything they can to make it IMPOSSIBLE to get reimbursed. THEY QUESTION EVERY SINGLE EXPENSE. They REFUSE TO ACCEPT doctor's statements, demanding detailed receipts for the most obvious medical expenses. And try filing a claim on their website! Impossible. THE WORST. This is a criminal enterprise.
