Hello. My name is [edited]. I'm having an issue with MVP. Consumer care provides no help in resolving the matter.

I purchased a Max Care vehicle protection on 4/22/2019 plan # [protected] for my new 2019 Ram Limited. I brought my vehicle in for service previously and had no issues with the plan. Recently the radiator leaked. When I brought the vehicle into the dealer the MVP adjuster denied claim saying it's a commercial vehicle and they don't cover commercial vehicle. That not what I was told when I was sold the policy! The dealers service manager Juan Rodriguez with AutoLand in Springfield NJ, said he has never heard of anything like this ever happing and has several other commercially registered vehicles which have and have used their MVP plans.

I have a home inspection company. We inspect homes for real estate transactions. We provide no repairs, we have no equipment, we don't plow or landscape. We drive to properties and inspect with a flashlight and take notes with a pad. With that being said, I purchased this truck under company's name for personal and recreational purposes. When I purchased the MVP contract I was asked all the questions and I explained what the truck was being used for and its commercially registered under my company's name. I even put the MVP policy under my company's name. The dealer has my truck service records under my company's name. I was honest and clear about the use of the truck and the sales person said the standard policy would apply for my vehicle as long as im not usings it for commercial purposes such as snowplowing, transportation, servicing ext. Needless to say Im really upset that MVP had an outside adjuster deny my claim for a reason that's not applicable to me. I called 4 other Ram dealerships and told them I was buying a 2022 ram and wanted an MVP plan. They all asked the same type questions and every single one said it would even matter if im using it to drive to clients home for home inspections (which I don't) or its for personal, the standard policy would apply for my situation. I want to be clear, every dealer said this was the policy they would sell me. I've already reached out to the attorney generals within Michigan and New Jersey and filed complaints. Out of principle I will keep filing complaints through every means until this gets resolved and eventually file suit if Mopar fails to do the right thing by its costumer.

I've been a loyal Mopar customer for 30 years and just want to be treated fairly. Im asking you to please look into this matter and have it corrected.

Desired outcome: honor service contract
