Microsoft Mixed Experience with Microsoft Technology Center

As someone who has interacted with Microsoft Technology Center, I must say my experience has been quite mixed. While the technology and products offered are innovative and powerful, the customer service aspect leaves much to be desired. There have been instances where issues were not resolved promptly, leading to frustration. However, the range of services and solutions provided by Microsoft Technology Center is impressive and can greatly benefit businesses looking to enhance their technological capabilities.

Microsoft WINDOWS 10

I just have to offer the following review for Microsoft since I've been disappointed with them since Windows 7. I liked Windows 7 but 8 and 8.1 really sucked! This, of course, made me very wary of Windows 10. I finally decided that they couldn't possibly f___ it up more then 8 or 8.1 so I took the plunge! I upgraded to Windows 10 and I can't tell you how pleased I am with it. I should tell you that they allow you to easily return to the version of Windows you're upgrading from for a limited time if you don't like it. This should put your mind at ease if you're sitting on the fence. I don't like Metro as tiles are much slower navigating then the standard start menu. That, of course, is easily rectified by installing Classic Shell. Making Google your search engine and homepage is a breeze and removing Crapware is just as easy! Microsoft, we're friends again!

Microsoft Your customer service is the worst in my opinion

It is odd that we are asked to "Buy American" and when we do, they provide difficult to understand accent customer service from abroad, particularly from India and African regions not because they are tech savvy, it's because labor is cheap!
When we have a problem or product issue and call your customer service line for help and guidance, we can't understand a word of what' most of your customer service agents try to say due to extremely and I mean extremely thick, distinct Indian accent which majority of your employees possess!
What's the matter Microsoft?
Don't you make enough money off of America and Canada Customers alone, in order to provide us with decent customer service that we could at least understand?! By that I mean a toll free number specifically designed for USA and Canadian customers or at least hire more people with light or a fair amount of accents to perform a phone job?! Don't get me wrong, I too have an accent this is not against accents it's against hard to understand accents performing the wrong jobs trying to guide people or the difficult accent to understand.
For God's sake every phone job that I have had before they Interviewed the prospect to ensure they have a good, strong phone voice, are with reasonable accent that everyone could understand!
An accent when subtle or understandable is beautiful but when you can't understand a word they say it becomes very frustrating.

When there is a problem and we get frustrated with your product or service, we don't need to call your customer service line Waits Too Long for someone to pick up and then get more frustrated while struggling to understand what advise the customer service is trying to give us!
I often get MORE Frustrated, hang up and redial/ wait a long time just hoping for someone with less accent would pick up so at least I can understand and BOOM! Another one, equally as annoying as the previous one picks up! If you want to give us good service start screening your phone
Operators in customer service area for a good phone quality voice, making sure they're understandable. That's all!
I bet you would not hire sales people with the thickest, hard to understand accents for the purpose of marketing your products! Won't you show the same courtesy to the people who have already spent hundreds or thousands on your products and need help and shouldn't get frustrated for calling your customer service line.
Hope someone from Microsoft was a decision maker would actually read this comment and take it seriously.

Microsoft Microsoft is fueled by greed

If I could give a zero star, I would of chosen it.

About a month ago my Huawei P30 lite did an Android update. After the update, my sons games didn't want to work. So after a lot of research I found out that the games where no longer compatible with the latest Android version. The most common solution was to do a Roll back to the Previous version of Android. The only thing I did not know at the time was that a Roll back actually meant a whole new fresh installation and that my phone will be wiped. At the time I did not know that I needed my gmail password to set up the phone again. For more than 10 years I have been using the same 2 email accounts to recover a password. I used gmail to recover my Hotmail and Hotmail to recover gmail. Unfortunately I didnt know this and then my phone was locked. In the past, whenever I did a factory reset on any of my Android devices it was resetting the phone to its original factory state. Now, because of all the phone theft, google thought they where very clever and introduced a security measure. If you reset your phone, the only way to get back into it, is to use the last gmail account password that was linked to the device. So that was it, my phone was blocked. It costed me to take it to the local cellphone shop to get that rubbish removed. After sitting without my phone for 2 weeks, I got it back. But now I sit and I dont know what the 2 password are. I have tried contacting microsoft about it, but microsoft is completely useless! They want money to help me to get my account back. When I told them I wont pay for someone to make a few clicks, microsofts call centre agent came up with the lie and said that they cant help me and that I must recover my password with the forget password option. This I have tried over and over and over until I was blue in the face. Every time microsofts stupid bot told me that unfortunately I havent given them enough information to prove it my account. I told the [censored]s by microsoft that my hotmail account has been linked to my facebook profile for more than a decade and common sense dictates that if I was able to link it to my facebook profile, I should of had access to the hotmail account to be able to link it to my facebook account. BUT like all big companies, microsofts greed always wins and they are not interrested in helping people. I really wish there was alternatives to microsoft and google. These companies buy up everyones ideas and small tech companies and add it to their umbrella of GREED! They cant write their own software, so they buy up small companies. Then they automate everything because they are too cowardly to talk to the public. They can spy on everyone, like criminals in the night, but they have no backbones to listen to the people who are forced to use their software, because there is currently no alternatives. They have the whole world in a choke hold, forcing everyone to use their software, FULL OF SPYWARE, and no one can do anything to take them on, because of their billion dollar company status. YOU SUCK GOOGLE AND MICROSOFT!

I have also exhausted all the same options with trying to retrieve my gmail password, but was not able to. In more than a decade, when I migrated from one phone to another phone, I used the 2 accounts to retrieve the passwords and then linked them again to the new phones. You suck Google! Changing security features and then not making it public. I am sure a lot of people has lost accounts this way.

The main reason why I am so upset is because I have 4 children who I love very much and all of their birth videos and photo's was linked to my google picture account, which was linked to gmail. Everyone says upload your unreplaceable pictures to the cloud to keep them save. NOW MY IRREPLACEABLE PICTURE OF MY CHILDRENS LIVES IS LOST IN THE CLOUDS! Neither microsoft nor google is willing to help. GREED is the only fuel for them and I wont pay some [censored] to make a few clicks with his mouse to send me a link to reset my password.

Last year in November and December, both my wife and I lost our jobs. We where retrenched and I was home until middle May 2021. My wife is still at home and we are really struggling to get her a job. There is just no new jobs. We lost our car after making 3 years of payments. Our water was cut off by the municipality. My children had to eat maize meal porridge for 6 months. Now that I found a job and we are trying to recover from this massive knock in life, microsoft just wants to rip me off even more. I understand that it is not their fault that I can not get into my account, but they are just not willing to help. The same for Google. Atleast I was able to get hold of microsoft. After searching for email addresses, I found a few media email addresses and I started sending multiple emails in the hope that one of them will send it to someone who can help. Microsoft eventually called me from texas and said sorry, we cant help. GREED is our friend and we dont give a hoot if you cant get into your account.

I have not tried to send out so many emails with google, because I cannot find any email addresses to send anything to. But I am sure that even if I was able to contact google, they will also be just as motivated by GREED, and wont help. So I have desided to take this to the internet and blast it all over the internet. If they wont help me, I will post this message on every forum and complaints page I can find. I dont have a lot of hobbies and will make this my new hobby. Even If it takes me 10 years to create the awareness on google and microsofts GREED!

Microsoft My account was blocked

I recently was asked to change my password and they were supposed to send a code which never arrived. My account was then blocked. I have now filled in 15 recovery forms which are rejected within seconds of being sent. There is no one to speak to on the phone. I have used the chat online service five times and given false promises. I have now written to the headquarters and once more I have been ignored. I have emails from my late mother which I can no longer access. My mental health is suffering and no one will contact me.

Microsoft xbox controller series s X2

I am so disappointed in the controllers XBox is making. My kids have used their own money to purchased these and after a couple of years they no longer work properly (controller drift). Even the one we got with the Xbox itself is now not working after only a year. Everyone I speak to seems to be having the same issue. Expensive to keep replacing. I am hoping you can help us out. I don't think I should have to buy replacement warranty for $30 for $75 dollar controller. Also the scams with these extended warranties are unbelievable. Just dealt with Best Buy on one. They finally replaced it when I called them out on the scam they are running. I still have two that need replacing. My older systems that I had from when I was a kid still work today after 30 years! Hoping you can help us out and show you are a company who is trying to resolve this problem.

Thank you

Cathy

Desired outcome: Re[air or replacement

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft is crap. I purchased a 1 year license for Office 365 in January 2023. In July it disappeared from my computer. My emails were archived in Outlook and are no longer accessible, This is a problem since the archived emails are necessary for my law office. I have tried to reinstall this dog of a program in order to recover those emails; however MS's ridiculous on-line support claimed my user-name was not valid, even after it allowed me to reset the password for that user-name. I haven't been able to find a solution through MS's support. Bottom line: Microsoft is in the business of grifting users. They want you to spend your money and not bother them. There is a lawyer in New Jersey, David M. Schlachter, who has sued Microsoft for $1.7 million for the same problem. I plan to do the same.

Desired outcome: I'd need what I paid for: an operational Office 365 with my archived emails

Microsoft Resetting computer without my consent, deleting my documents and installing a copy of windows 10 without product key

In the process of installing an academic copy of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft attempted to sell me a copy of Office 365. I ignored their multiple offers. After several attempts to sell me a copy of 365 they alerted me they were resetting my computer. They reset my computer without my consent. During this Reset, they deleted all my documents. I immediately contacted Microsoft Support on a Chat line. After several days of them attempting to blame this incident on me, they finally remotely entered my computer and installed a copy of windows 10 that do not have a product key to activate the copy of windows they installed on my computer. The error code is: OxCOo4F213. I have no idea what this code means.

I need recover my files and documents, and a product key for this copy of windows 10 your experts installed on my computer. Their actions in this matter was absolutely illegal and unnecessary. Why did they delete my documents that was on a Flash Drive?

Desired outcome: Please provide me with the Tool to recover my documents and send me a genuine copy of windows 10 Pro with a product key.

Microsoft Windows

My phone was stolen, and my wallet was stolen. Every account that I had was compromised, and at this point along with a new social security card, and a state-issued license I have reclaimed my accounts, new ones.

This brings me to the issue at hand, my phone had to be replaced which means the number associated with that account [protected]@outlook.com is no longer valid. My old number was [protected], my new number is [protected] which does not allow me access to that account.

Subsequently, I had to use the account: [protected]@gmail.com to access my Microsoft Account Information but it does not allow me to make any changes to that account. My computer that Microsoft helped set up has crashed and I need to download my copy of Windows 10 to reset my cpu for that I need the password to be changed.

Finally, the new word office icon loaded to my pc will not allow me to access old files and it continually asks me to sign in to [protected]@outlook.com which I cannot do, so please Help!

I can send documents verifying myself as well as my physical address.

Other accounts associated: [protected]@gmail.com, adair.[protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: help with this issue

Microsoft Customer service

My surface duo was under warranty and had a hardware issue with the screen. I contacted customer service and went through the process of sending the device for their investigation and repair or replacement. Through that process, the customer service representative assigned to my case failed to contact me or respond to my message. After opening various tickets, the response from Microsoft was that they could not confirm the serial number on the phone.

When I sent the phone, I sent it with the original box which contained the serial number, the SIM card, the purchase receipt, everything in my power to evidence the serial number.

Because they could not turn on the phone (which is the reason for the customer service need in the first place), they say that they cannot evidence the serial number on the phone. For some reason that they do not explain, they cannot replace the screen to confirm it. As an engineer, I know that they have the capability to do that. After almost 2 months talking to Microsoft on a daily basis, they just sent the damaged phone back to me, without the original box which evidenced the serial number.

I have asked many times to escalate this issue to their manager and they ignore my request and do no answer why they cannot confirm the serial number. I have asked them to call me several times and they do not and when I dial the customer service number, the call does not go through. I am very frustrated due to the high cost of this device ($1900), which is less than one year old and at this point I'm losing my money. I have written evidence of this whole dispute with customer service.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund of this device. After this experience, I do not wish to own any other Microsoft devices.

Microsoft Skype

I am an Office 365 customer, and I have a telephone number with Skype. For three or four years, I have been able to make outgoing calls with Skype, but most of the time other people cannot call me. Nobody has been able to call me this time for more than a year. I have repeatedly asked the techs to fix it. Sometimes they say it's fixed, but still sooner or later I get complaints that people cannot call me. Every time I ask them, they want me to provide them with the date, time, telephone number, and the telephone company of callers who have this issue. This is extremely difficult for me, as my clients aren't inclined to take the time and effort to assemble all of this information for me. But eventually I get it, provide it, and when they are done the problem remains. I have also repeatedly asked Skype why for years they are billing me for 100%, when they are only providing 50% of their contracted services. They never answer that question. I have further asked why I'm being billed at all, because I saw in one Microsoft information page that Office includes Skype. That question too they never answer. Recently, I asked the Skype techs yet again to fix this issue, and they refused. I then asked them to cancel my Skype service, and followed the instructions for doing so. After doing so I never received confirmation, and I continue to be billed for Skype. I contacted the text about this too, and they said they were no longer going to reply to e-mail messages from me. If you people do not resolve these problems with Skype, I will instruct my bank to stop the automatic payments to Skype, and I will seek what legal options are available to me.

NOTE as to the country designation below: I reside in Panama, but I am a U.S. citizen and the telphone number is in the United States.
