Melbourne IT Loss of domain

Melbourne it lost my domain name by failing to make my payment which they have admitted to. As part of a settlement agreement they offered to pay me 2, 000 American dollars in addition pay for 5 years and alternative domain name which they did.
When I received my wire transfer it was in Australian dollars. So they shorted me. I have contacted them on many numerous occasions and I've not heard word one. They also were supposed to refund me the payment that they failed to make on my behalf which they did but again in Australian dollars. I suffered a tremendous loss due to this loss of my branded domain name and this settlement was peanuts compared to the overall loss of a domain name I've owned since 2005 when I created it. I don't know what to do nobody wants to contact me I'm at a loss and I'm also very worried that I still have a domain name with this terrible company

Melbourne IT Unable to register domain after taking payment. Will not refund.

I paid Melbourne IT $300 for registering four premium domain names on the 24th of January, 2015. (Receipt numbers 3645716 and 3645711). My credit card was charged on the 27th of January. Its the 3rd of February today and though they've taken their payments, neither have they provisioned the domains to me NOR do they have the general courtesy to let me know there's a problem.

Forget general courtesy. I use their online support ticket to submit an enquiry and after four business days, some customer representative emails me telling me that I need to provide my personal details since I did not "email them from the registered email address". I sent them a support ticket from my online account wiith them while I was logged in - for Christ's sake. Well ... I send them the details and then ... no response.

I call them and after holding on for 1hour and 25 minutes (precisely) they pick up. The first thing the customer service rep asks me is for the PASSWORD to my account. Beat that. When I refused, politely telling them that that might be a security issue, they then take all my other personal details and tell me they'll get in touch with me in 2 business days. So far ... no response.

The ONLY reason I did business with them was because I knew they were in business with YAHOO SMALL BUSINESS. Looking at their deplorable customer service and also their total apathy towards returning a customers money - neither will I never do business with them any longer - BUT I will also not deal with Yahoo any longer. After all, you're known by the "company" you keep.

I'm trying to reach their customer service right now as I write this an its been 45 minutes already that I'm holding on. I'm going to politely ask them for a refund if and when they pick up. I'll keep this post updated with the outcome.

Any way I can take legal action against them? Nobody takes my money and then behaves like they're doing me a favour. They should be brought to task.

Melbourne IT Scammed US$177.00 by using Melbourne IT's name.

Complaint board of melbourne, victoria, australia

Montreal, canada
July 10, 2014

Dear sirs,

Cc: qualitbec inc. / montreal, canada

For some time now we have been trying by every possible mean to get a reimbursement from a company that now we realize is using the name of melbourne it. One of the scammers called us in april/2014 urging us to pay the amount of $ 155.50 to renew the hosting and domain of our company, qualitbec inc, otherwise they would cancel our website in 2 or 3 days if no payment was made right away with a credit card. Fearing to lose of our website I approved the payment.

In june/2014 they charged us again; this time $22.00 with the reason "others". What kind of reason is that?

Qualitbec inc. Is a very small company working in the area of building maintenance and cleaning. For us the website must be open at all times to attract potential customers, and for that reason I felt pressed to give away my personal master card number. Now that we realize the scam, we have spoken with our master card provider, and they are willing to credit my credit card as long as I prove that I was swindled and asked them not to accept anymore charges from these fake company again. They must be stopped somehow.

I am including a warning from the real melbourne it that we found after a lot of research in the internet. The link to the warning issued by the real melbourne it company is this: http://www.domainavenue.com/scam_melbourne_it_imposter.htm

I already open a file with the complaint board and hope that you can provide me with the necessary assistance to get my bank to credit my account.

I have sent many emails to the address they provided, to no avail. Of course, is a fake email address. I need all the help you can provide me to prove my credit card company that I was scammed. But these scammers have to be caught very soon before further damage to my credit and many other companies is made if they fall for the lies and tricks of these internet gangsters.

In advance I thank you four kind and prompt support,

Principal contact:
Alex lopez carlos guido (owner of the master card used in the scam)

Melbourne IT failure to register domain

After waiting five years to purchase a specific domain crucial for my business, on December 27, 2013 at 8am it became available. As I use the hosting services of Melbourne IT through Inmotion Hosting here in the U.S. and have several other domains registered there as well as them providing my website hosting, I purchased the domain online and at 8:07am called Inmotion Hosting to confirm I was now the registered owner of the domain, and was required to confirm my credit card number. Before hanging up, the Inmotion Hosting representative confirmed I had in fact purchased the domain and was now the registered owner and that I would be receiving an email confirmation which in fact arrived at 8:15am same morning. Several weeks later with the assistance of Inmotion Hosting's technical department, I was in my amp trying to get the new domain set up in wordpress so I could go live with it. In my AMP (account management panel) this domain clearly shows under my account. After some difficulty due to technical problems on the part of Inmotion Hosting and multiple holds on the phone, I finally linked the domain to wordpress in my cpanel and when I went to the url, the page would not come up. The Inmotion Hosting technician assisting me got real funny, said that on whois it showed the account with GoDaddy, but chose not to tell me the rest of what he saw - because it was proof that Inmotion Hosting and/or Melbourne IT royally screwed up, had been negligent and had not registered me as the owner of the domain, despite multiple confirmations to me verbally and in writing to this effect. I was forced to file a "report" ticket to support, but this was only to buy Inmotion Hosting and Melbourne IT time. They have had time to respond, but have failed to do so. After I filed the report ticket, I went to Whois to discover that not only was the domain registered through GoDaddy, but that after it was confirmed repeatedly to me that I owned the domain, the purchase confirmed, a third party, a competitor of my company, had come after me and purchased the domain. This kind of negligence and major screw up is not acceptable. Inmotion Hosting and Melbourne IT have harmed my business!

Yahoo domains: read this before you register a domain name with Yahoo Yahoo! has a service called Yahoo! Small Business that sells domain names at a very attractive price.
