We don't know much about how MegaBus handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. MegaBus Bus not turned up

Return Journey: From London Victoria Coach Station Thu, Apr 04, 2024 at 20;00 to Nottingham Greyfriars Gate stops (c11 and C12) 3 travellers.

My wife was travelling to London for eye operation. We waited at Nottingham for 2 Hrs but bus never turn up. We had to buy a premium ticket from national express at a cost of £70 for 3 travellers. We were very late and the operation was done very late fortunately but we missed the Megabus for the return journey and had to spend extra £51 for a another ticket.

Claimed loss: We lost Extra £120

Desired outcome: Please refund my £70.94

MegaBus - Lost luggage

On 2/4 at 6pm, I boarded a Megabus from NYC to DC with a stop at Baltimore. I was the last person to board the bus; the bus started moving as soon as I got on before the passengers sat down (I along others were waiting to walk upstairs to find seats.) MegaBus Long delay

Hello, usually I don’t complain but this time I had around 35 minutes late bus, bus also stopped in little bit different place (that’s not big deal).

But I was with my friend waiting for bus outside in cold weather, at late evening time 2 girls, for 35 min…

I have very early morning shift, I am cold and tired and on top of that bus some seats was dirty with from old customers mess and smells from toilet too much!

I do appreciate service you guys always provide but this time was horrible!

I am cold, tired, was scared if bus will come at all, and had to smell toilet smell…

My daughter and anther girl had their bags erroneously and innocently swapped at Scarborough Town Centre on Friday Oc, 6 at approx. 5:45 p. MegaBus Mega bus unfair terms and conditions

I made by mistake a booking for a bus, 20 mins before the bus leaves and I tried contacting the customer service in time to have them cancel it but they were extreme rude (Amanda - customer service representative) and of no help. I told them the whole situation that it was a mistake and I would request you to either amend the same or cancel and give a refund as I had to pay £50 on this which I didn’t even use.

MegaBus Newcastle to London journey

The mega bus was due to arrive at john dobson street in newcastle at 8:30pm, yet it arrived 15 minutes late, and then when the driver arrived, they said they’re ‘running an hour late’ and says we won’t be departing until 9:30pm. Which makes no sense and wouldn’t give an actual reason as to how and why they’re running late, and instead directed the complaints from the customers to this website.

Desired outcome: i think i deserve a full refund for this disruption of plans as now i will be arriving at my desired location a much later then, further disrupting my journey home.

MegaBus My journey to and from Glasgow from london

My journey on the London to Glasgow coach on June 19th 2023 at 10:25pm, arrived in Glasgow two hours late. I was travelling with two children ,we missed our connection to Oban. Our seats that were reserved were occupied by people ,and the bus was too busy (and late) for the driver to move them,and my sons and I spent over twelve hours on the crowded coach split up ,my sons sat with strangers.On the return journey from Buchanan street bus station to London on june the 26th at 9:30pm the bus arrived over 90 minutes late and we missed our lift home.

MegaBus Driver unreasonable

Me, my partner and my friend were getting on the mega bus at 20:00 at london Victoria to Cardiff (no choice in where to get off just booked it cardiff in general) on the 28th of may. When boarding we were asked “going to Cardiff” in which we replied “yes” nothing further than that. The journey was fine, no complaints until we stopped at Cardiff university. Me, my partner and my friend had gotten off from this point on the bus driver unknown of name began to have a row with my friend saying things like “I will not get your suitcases out, you should of told me the stop you were getting off at.” Though he had never asked and we were under the impression we were just going to Cardiff we had explained this to him and he began to get agitated and raised his voice the telling “you have to get the suitcases out and get your own because I’m not doing it.” And “or you can get back on the bus and wait.” He then proceeded onwards and made my visibly disabled partner clime inside the bus and do his job. My partner was wearing his knee brace and had a cane and the driver did not care even after explaining the situation. This was a horrible experience and I personally think this is unfair and unreasonable

I booked the service to arrive in Perth at 10:45 only to be told there is no service so I can only expect to arrive at 11:20. I am on my way to a funeral so this more than a little upsetting.

MegaBus Employees

On March 25, as I was boarding the bus to depart at 4:45pm from Toronto to Ottawa. I showed the driver my ticket and he said my destination was Niagara Falls when the ticket clearly said Ottawa telling me to sit on the lower deck of the bus so he could keep an eye on me. He also stop the bus beside the highway twice for no reason at all. There was no excuse for me to be abused like this. I demand this matter be resolved immediately.

There was another incident that happened on March 28 as I was leaving from Toronto to the Falls as soon as the bus was departing from St. Catharines the driver stopped the bus walk to where I was sitting and asked me about a suitcase and als had the air conditioning on which should be on in the first place. I am devastated and I am sick and tired I should not have to tolerate this kind of behaviour and I want this problem resolved immediately.

MegaBus Abusive Driver

Hello, On March 25, 2023 at 2:15pm as I was boarding the bus from Toronto to Ottawa I presented my ticket to the driver and he was telling me that the ticket said my destination was Niagara Falls when the ticket clearly said my destination was Ottawa and he told me to sit on the lower level of the bus saying I’m gonna keep my eye on you. He also pulled over the side of the highway twice. There was no need for his abusive behaviour toward me. I am deeply devastated with Megabus and I would like this matter dealt with immediately.

MegaBus Over 2 hours delays

I boarded your coach on the 08/02/2023 which scheduled for 09:55 - 16:20 from London Finchley Road to Newcastle upon Tyne John Dobson Street. This coach did not get to Newcastle until 18:30. the drivers said they issues with coach which made us stranded for over 2hours and this not the first time am experiencing this with your poor service.

Please, kindly refund my money because your poor service, you guys made me to miss my deadline on this day.

MegaBus M90 coach Pitlochry to Edinburgh

We had booked three days in advance for the 13:15 coach from Pitlochry to Edinburgh (Airport) on 4th January, paying £52 for two travellers. As advised by Megabus, we arrived at the bus stop 15 minutes early, at 13:00 for the coach. 13:15 came and went, with no sign of the coach.

I checked the Megabus online Coach Tracker, which reported the coach was 'on time'. Even at 13:30 it was reporting as 'on time'. I then tried to call Megabus customer services in case there had been any problem... I waited 30 minutes on the phone until 14:00 with nobody picking up my call. We had a flight to catch, with no idea if the coach was coming or not, so decided to take a taxi there and then at considerable expence. We have approached Megabus for a refund, and they have declined. They tell us the bus had, indeed, experienced technical problems (with a coolant), meaning it was running 50 minutes late by the time it reached Pitlochry (at 14:05)... if we had known it was coming at 14:05, we wouldn't have taken a taxi at 14:00. They provided us incorrect information on their Coach Tracker.

Desired outcome: Full refund, and apology for running such a shocking service.

MegaBus Manchester Airport bus to Glasgow bucnanan street

We had already booked a bus for 12.30 pm at Manchester Airport but our flight was delayed by over 6 hours so meant we missed that bus so on checking while at the stances there was a bus at 2.30 with only 2 seats left so i duly booked which cost a total off £86.89 myself my wife waited over an hour before I decided to phone megabus to be told the driver was early and took his break and didn’t leave until 3-15 which we were there the whole time they have now told me it was a different company they used and are refusing to refund my money as we were there the whole time there was denfinatlly no bus the wouldn’t take 3 passengers word on this just the drivers word and we’re more or less saying we were lying disgrace off a company will never use again

MegaBus 16.20pm Newcastle to Edinburgh 17 Dec

Firstly, many travellers not from Newcastle do not find it easy to find the Megabus bustop - should be a bigger display on that street. Secondly, travellers are advised to arrive 15 mins early. Thus on this particular journey people waited from at least 16.05pm until 19.10pm! No explanation, no attempt to communicate by message or email, no apology whatsoever, no attempt to redress the situation - it’s utterly appalling. Will not travel with them again.

MegaBus Bus driver on Edinburgh to Inverness 2:00pm

The bus driver on the edi to inv 2pm 04/12/22 was absolutely despicable, refused to get cases once bus parked, started calling innocent young men tubes for not climbing in and doing his job for him, was shouting at am older lady before slamming the doors and storming off, completely unacceptable, people were recording and I assume will be all over.

MegaBus Missing bus - service not honored

Customer Service,

Yesterday 11/26/2022, my daughter and I waited for Megabus for over an hour. The driver that showed up emphasized that he was M23 bus, but it was the 10:50 a.m. bus.

In the end, the 9:50 a.m. never showed up. The confusion of the stop was pretty bad as passengers complained about the missing bus. The driver took passengers that were able to occupy the empty seats on his bus and everyone else was stranded without a ride [JUST PLAIN SAD]. He was very nice for trying to help, but many were stranded after waiting outside enduring the cold blustery day.

My daughter had a reserved (1) seat to no avail... I would expect a minimum refund for the cost of the ticket: $32.98.

MegaBus Delay

I booked a trip from toronto to montreal on 22/08/2022 monday for three trevellers me and my littel two kids. The trip should left toronto at 4 pm but it left at 5 pm. One houre delay it was so stressful and inaccaptable.

Then another delay we stopped for more half an houre for switch the driver I don't know why and nobody explain to us what was happining.

We arrived montreal at 12 am although the estimated arriving time was at 10.25 pm

Really it was so bad experience with my littel kids. I would not recommend this transport company to anyone.

MegaBus Delay

I bought a ticket from Manchester Shudehill Interchange to Glasgow Buchanan on Sunday 21/08/2022 depart at 15:10 arriving at 19:30 but the delay was unacceptable we did like two hours waiting without any further information even your agent couldn't answer a question because himself has not clue of what was going on. When the bus arrives there was no apology whatsoever and we left at 17:06 and arriving at Glasgow at 21:40 which was very late especially someone like me who do not know the city that well. I really struggle to find my way because those who came to pick up was gone.

I feel very disappointed by your services and I'd like a compensation for what you have put me through the stress and uncertainty.
