They have double billed me multiple times for the same exact amount within days of each withdrawal. Now I see it is a common behavior for ldsplanet. They hide behind email and avoid attempts to contact.

They did the same to me. Its frustrating because I did not agree to auto renewal...and on top of that the person using my account is not even me. But the helpful part? That I don't know.

The same thing has just happened to me. They have taken $29.97 out of my account without authorization. This has put me in bad way as I did not have this money to take. After reviewing my LDS Planet account, I noticed that my account was set to automatic renewal, which is something that I did not set up. I was just trying this site and after the 3 months I decided I did not want to continue my account. So my account was set to renew without my permission or knowledge. I have emailed them and we will see if a get a response. I tried to call the 800 number listed above, but it is Saturday and they are closed today. I will take the advice of Mruiz79 and hopefully they will be able to help me as well, as this is unlawful and ethically wrong, and this is an LDS website for gosh sake!

I'm not sure of the religious affiliation of those that started LDSPlanet, but those that own it now ARE NOT LDS. This is my 2nd temporary membership over a 5 year period of time. Automatic renewel IS STATED when you sign up, and its in their Terms & Conditions. It was that way even in my first membership. You need to go into your account and turn off automatic renewel so you don't get charged. I made sure NOT to use the site 2 days before my membership was to terminate, and took screenshots of my account page to show, if there was any question of being unlawfully charged.

Interestingly, this time when I went to sign up, supposedly Paypal denied the charge to my Credit Card (not a debit card. I won't use a debit card for sites). I tried the Credit Card - unsuccessfully processed. Very tempted to sign up with my Debit card, but my debit card has no protection, and I would be liable for all the charges if they illegally charged a membership on it. VISA credit cards are backed by a TEAM of lawyers who WILL get to the bottom of a disputed charge, whereas, debit card holders have NO SUCH GUARANTEES. DON'T use a debit card on online sites. EVER!

I'm not signing up, even though I have a response from a lady I'm anxious to see. Until I can get to the bottom of this charge problem, I'm holding off on signing up. I do not trust LDS Planet to do the right thing.

This happened to me as well but I called and explained the situation to them and they were helpful in returning the money within 72 hours. I actually used the number you posted to get ahold of them. So I appreciate your comment and pray things work out for you as well.
