Kwik Kar Oil pan plug hole and oil plug were stripped from oil change at your service center

Oil change was previously done by your service center on Beltline, Mesquite TX

Took it to Toyota dealer on the next oil change, they found the oil plug and the oil pan plug holes were stripped. Need to replace the oil pan

This service center has been changing oil on this car previously for serveral times

Kwik Kar - TX Tax Exemption

Yesterday (12/14/23), we had an oil change done at the Kwik Kar @ 1820 Brown Blvd., Arlington, TX 76006 (Invoice #5603096). Kwik Kar Return of body part missing upon return of vehicle

I was asked to bring my 2015 Range Rover Envouge to re-complete timing on engine once performed on my vehicle earlier in September. The engine light did not go off after the first visit so I arranged to bring it back on 10/13/2023 before business and was kept until 10/20/23 and return for after hours pickup at 6:20pm or so. But the part missing is on the passenger side of the vehicle and was not noticed until the next morning as being missing. I was not in the vehicle as my wife went to work at 6:00am on 10/21/2023 in the car to ask what happened to it and what the next step should be for a resolve and was told they were not liable for this loss. Pleasesee the photos and tell me how this part became dislodged from my vehicle?

Desired outcome: Part replaced & Labor cost REFUNDED please.

Notified for pickup on 10/20/2023 to pick up vehicle after closing hour 6:00 pm I arrived at about 6:27 pm. part missing and reported back to them on 10/21/2023 about 10:48 am - 11:00 am.

Kwik Kar A/c

I spent 500 bucks and 4 days messing with these people and my a \ c is working worse . they keep trying to rip me off because I'm disabled . I've had some medical problems I use a walker but I'm not taking any more crap off of kwik kar I'm taking action against your 11th st crew I warned them I would they messed with the wrong car see u in court u thieves

They keep breaking things on your car so you'll have to spend more money. They don't care if your old or crippled they just want to take all your money like thieves do. Like all mechanics they can rip you off and say screw you !

Kwik Kar Too much oil in my Camaro SS car. Blown engine.

I brought my vehicle to the Kwik Kar Lube N Tune in Wylie, Tx on September 11 2023 to have my oil changed. Today’s date is September 21st. My vehicle holds 6.5 quarts of synthetic oil. They proceeded to put 10 quarts of oil in my car which damaged the very expensive engine since I’ve been driving it like that for 10 days. When I called the store I was talked to like I was an idiot! I know why they put that much oil in there, it’s because they are too stupid to not know the difference between a dry sump oil engine and a wet sump oil engine.

Desired outcome: We will see! An apology isn’t going to cut it. The engine is very expensive!

Kwik Kar Erroneously charged for products and services never received

Do NOT take your car here! If I could give them a NEGATIVE 5 star rating I would. I experienced the most horrible customer service in my ENTIRE life, and was charged erroneously for services and parts that were never rendered just to get my car back after chosing to deny services due to bogus charges and poor customer service. I feel completely disrespected, mishandled and taken advantage of by this place. DO NOT USE this place for ANY of your car needs. YOU will REGReT IT tremendously! I literally was concerned that they would damage my car on purpose after I denied services and it could lead to possible harm to myself or my family. Their behavior was not at all kind, or cordial and seemed to be very malicious and vengeful since I refused services they hung up on me and then someone else called me back telling me I was gonna have to pay $150 to get my car back. I will be looking to contact the owners and/or corporate to report this issue, and will also let everyone I know NOT to USE this place of business for any work on your CAR until they do some remedial training on customer service, proper telephone etiquite, protocol and good business ethics. As a customer I have the right to refuse services, and not be charged erroneously. My receipt reflects a charge for parts that I never recieved. I will be taking this issue up with the higher echeclon. Until these types of incidences no longer occur, and they are not robbing the community dont use this place. I definitely should have read the reviews and not chose it simply because its located so conveniently between 2 parts stores.

I strongly advise DO NOT TaKe your car THeRE. You will regret it.

Desired outcome: Refund of bogus charge of $150. And better business practices, remedial customer service training and telephone etiquite and protocol.

Kwik Kar The transmission is broken and the window work was never fixed for me.

4 days ago, last Monday 17 June 2023 , the transmission stopped working and the truck was ruined through the transmission and it no longer wanted to work anymore and the truck is part of my job and what I am saying is that I take it through the tow truck from Dallas to go to the Saginaw workshop, on Avenida de Plumón and I left it there because the truck arrived around 7 at night and the next day you can talk to the manager so they can find out what had happened If in a new transmission it doesn't even have 20 it doesn't even have 20,000 trips and I paid almost $10,000 and the only thing I receive from the manager is pure lies and in a nervous way, I asked him to fix my truck Because it takes me very, very few miles for it to pass so that the transmission has broken for no reason, I tried to tell you. What happened and in a way he refused to fix it and I asked him for a document where it said that the one that the guarantee was behind, was finished or that the guarantee did not cover it and I told him that I needed to see documents where he told me that the guarantee was uncovered and he became very aggressive and nervous, telling me pure lies. I called again a few minutes ago today and the only thing I received was bad treatment and the only thing he told me was that he was going to send the tow truck to open the truck and the truck has to be adjusted and I the way. I paid $8000 and I need to see evidence where it tells me it's out of warranty and I need it fixed because it's a new transmission, it's a new transmission and the only thing it did was very aggressive AND very rude. Is this telling me what the truck is? He was going to take it away that the truck had to be picked up, that is, he was going to send the tow truck to take it away and it does not seem fair to me that he is making us responsible for that when he I asked for the tests and I have the receipts of what I paid and everything I did and once the transmission failed for not putting the oil in it and this time it failed again with 20,000 it is to make a new transmission So I am asking I know that they treat me in a good way because I paid almost $9,000 there for part of that and the only thing I received right now was mistreatment And I told him and I have some receipts and I have what he says he proves He did it and it was done in a very bad way and the only thing I asked for was an answer, if all I received was mistreatment and he threatened to tell me that the truck was going to be towed away tomorrow.

Desired outcome: I hold him responsible for what happens to the truck, because the teacher has to fix it from there, because that's where they paid the $10,000 And if it broke very quickly in a new transmission, it's less than 20,000 miles, it's the truck ,

Kwik Kar Personal vehicle property damage.

On Wednesday July 12, 2023 at or around 4pm, I arrived that the trinitymills location for an oil change. The manager on duty informed me that a complementary inspection came with the service, which I agreed to accept. I, was asked to come out into the bay area to view the air filters on my 2006 Lexus Rx 400h, and rear brakes. I, noticed the front section of the air box was completely removed and sitting off to the upper left side of the engine. I, was informed that air filter was good, but the cabin filter needed replaced; I declined that service informing the shop manager that I'll change it myself, then he said he'll clean it off outside for me before reinstalling it (he didn't). I, was informed the rear pads and rotors need to be replaced quickly, to which I informed the shop manager I would return for that service. I paid for the oil change and left. Two days later, Friday, July 14, 2023, at or around 8pm, I was showing a friend my Lexus Rx 400h which I recently purchased days prior on Saturday July 8, 2023. Upon popping the hood to view the hybrid engine, we noticed liquid stains on the airbox in addition to other engine parts. Upon review we saw the dipstick only half of the way pushed in. After that discovery we looked around for any other incomplete work, and noticed the bottom clips on the airbox were not clipped back. The attempt was made to clip the part closed, but the box was broken on both sides. A discussion was had to where this could have happened and the only place the hood was opened besides the 1 time at purchase on July 8th, was July 12th at your business. I, returned to the trinitymills location Saturday, July 15, at or around 9:40am and told the shop manager what happened and requested it be replaced. He, let me know they will review the camera recordings on Monday with the owner, from the day in question to see who worked on my vehicle, to see if they can tell what happened. I have yet to hear back from anyone at said business as of yet at 2:58pm Monday July 17th 2023. Notice to Agent is Notice to Principal, Notice to Principal is Notice to Agent... All Rights Reserved without recourse.

Desired outcome: The correct replacement of my part.

Kwik Kar oil change and serpentine belt replacement

1. On Saturday 18th March around 2pm, i took my car to Kwik Kar on 1888 Esters Road, Irving.

2. The mechanic told me that the serpentine belt is faulty and that i needed a replacement .

3. I was given a bill of $545..ish to replace the belt and oil change, i agreed.

4. About 2hrs later, the mechanic told me that a bolt got broken in the engine and needed to be fixed.

5. He said it will be an additional charge of $2880.

6. i told him to return the car to the state it was so i could take it to another shop to get a second opinion. He said the car is NOT-DRIVABLE.

7. I have been using this car for delivery and nothing happened except for the serpentine belt.

8. i went back to see the manager on Tuesday, he lied that the mechanic told me about the bolt before he started working on it.

9. How can a bolt get broken and i was able to drive it to the store/shop?

Desired outcome: I want the management to take responsibility for this. My was working fine before i got there.

Kwik Kar Oil change

Went for an oil change which should have been around 130 to 150, ended up being 305. After being told oil change only. Told them get out of my truck, left the glove box hanging open items laying on the floor and changed the cabin filter after i said not too..had the bill up to over 500 got it back doqn 305..still way to much for an oil change after repeatedly saying oil change only. The the guy behind the counter was laughing and nodding like he had no idea what i was saying. Like there was a language barrier.

Kwik Kar Vehicle repair

On 3/6, as I was pulling out of my alley, my truck stop. I could not get it started so I had it towed to Kwik Kar at 6614 Preston Rd. I told the Mgr that I need to know why it would not start. He told me they would do diagnostics and get back with me. He called me and told me it would take $549.15 to get it running listing out several things it needed: Canister Puge Valve, Vent Valve, Throttle Position Sensor etc. I said ok, fix it if that is what it took to get it running. When I got to the shop, he then told me the truth after the fact. He said your car would not start because it was out of gas. I told him if I had known that, I would not have had him add all of the extras. He said they were needed because my check engine light was on and I would never be able to get the truck inspected. I demanded a refund, but he refused. Realizing I need to try a different option I got in the truck and left, immediately the check engine light came on. That was the very thing he said he fixed. I took it back and the light is still on, so he manipulated me to pay $549.15 in repairs that had no impact on my truck.

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund of the $549.15.

Kwik Kar Coolant flush

For a coolant flush

February 17, 2023 engine light came on. My husband checked under the hood said the Coolant was real low. He added coolant & drove it back into the garage the Engine light went off immediately. The coolant was supposed to be flush 23 days ago. Something is wrong with that picture?

February 18, 2023. I called Kwik Kar asked to speak to a manager. He was not in, talk to one of the men there. I told him about the Engine light coming on, the coolant being very low & date Coolant Flush was done. He said if I had anymore problems come bye.

I took my car to the dealership had a Oil change. Service advisor. Told me that I needed a Ccolant flush. I told him I had one done on January 26, 2023. He said it looks dirty looks like it has not been done. I told him where I had it done that he said they could call him and he would talk to them about it.

I went home & got my receipt from Kwik Kar and went over there spoke to another man. He claims they did it. He gave me a piece of paper & said to write down my name & number for the manager, maybe they would do a reflush?

My husband was off so we both went back to kwik Kar finally spoke to the manager. I asked him if he got any messages he said no. I have other stores I have to be checking on. Open up the hood he said it look fine. Didn’t really look at anything or offer. No apology didn’t offer a reflush nothing! Manager and all the workers, just gathered around giving us a stare down. We closed the hood on the left.

Desired outcome: We thought the Manager would apologize, offer to redo the Coolant Flush or return my money as it seem like it wasn’t done in the first place. He didn’t have the slightest concerned.

Kwik Kar Oil change

On 11/11/2022 brought a 2015 VW Jetta in for scheduled oil change.
Car came with in no low oil pressure light on.
Kwik Kar #8146 located at 1200 14th street Plano Texas
KK performed the oil change on 11/11/22
Oil light came on following oil change

Vehicle computer date and time stamped the fault code for date 11/11/22. Same day and following the oil change.
While performing the problem analysis discovered that during the oil change the oil filter adapter had been broken during the service and the filter was re installed without it. The adapter regulates oil pressure.
Kwik Kar gave the customer the car back with low oil pressure light on not even disclosing to the customer the damage issue caused by KK.

Customer returned immediately explaining the low oil pressure light was on. The employee (knowing what he did) told the customer that the oil pressure sensor was faulty and replaced it for a charge of $219.95. This failed to fix the problem. Kwik Kar sent the customer on their way to drive a car with low oil pressure. This woulod have eventually caused the motor to seize.
HPH shop oil pressure analysis performed: Oil Pressure showed 2 lbs at idle. Engine damage is believed to have taken place at this low pressure.

After diagnosis, HPH repaired the damage caused by KK.
Multiple attempts have been made to get reimbursed by KK. Charles and Mason managers have never responded to the in person meeting and 6 phone calls made in attempt to resolve.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement requested:219.95 charged by kwik kar for the sensor that was not required. (reimbursement). 1263.06 for parts. 112.00 for oil change due to shavings in oil. 1,500.00 for 10 hours of diagnostic and repairs. Total$1,995.01

Kwik Kar Brake pad service declined

I don’t usually go to this location for my services but today it was convenient so I stopped by at 04:00pm and they close at 05:00 and I was asked what kind of service I needed guy #1 says “ oil change” I said I need Brake pads and the gentleman told guy #2 that was listening from afar, “ she needs brake pads “ and he said “ Nah we ain’t got time for it it’s too late “ guy #1 says we have time for it it’s barely 04:00, we close at 05:00, guy#2 said “ nah it’s too late “ then guy #1 looks at me and says “it’s too late”. I said “ ok thank you” clearly I showed up an hour before closing time, I would understand I had shown up right before closing why service would have been declined. It’s honestly disappointing. Make it right Kwik Kar! I know a couple bad apples don’t speak for the whole company but these actions from your employees are not okay.

Desired outcome: Discipline of employees, respect to your customers &’ recompense for lost time.

Kwik Kar Power steering problems

I was in Flower Mound Tx and my power steering was leaking. I took it in to kwix kar in Flower Mound to be looked at. They told me I needed a high pressure hose. I bought one and installed it. It was still leaking at replacing hose. I took it back in they told me after further investigation it was my power steering pump. It was cracked. So I told them to replace it. I trusted them. On way to NC it was still leaking bad. Upon arriving in NC I took it to a garage for inspection. I was told it was my racken pension steering bushing. We replaced it it is now fixed. I want my $341.00 dollars back. I was ripped off. It wasn't my hose $41.00 and a power steering pump I didn't need $341.00. . I want $382.00 back. I have video of it leaking at bushing not pump. Thank you Pat Grant

Kwik Kar Lube cedar hill

I came here for the first time three months ago sometime in march 2022 I spent $2000 getting my car fixed and I used a groupon for semi synthetic oil, I come back today with the same groupon as last time and I tried to show the guy my groupon so he can put the right oil he kind of shushed me and said he will get it after, I then said ok because i'm trying to show you so you can put the correct oil he looks quickly and says ok semi, then he brings my car and says he is done and say my total is $71 I ask why when I have a groupon which I paid 30 bucks for and he say well you always get full synthetic and i'm like no I don't i've only came twice and used the same groupon which none of that matter because I tried to tell him semi synthetic so now i'm pissed bacuse he says he has to pour out synthetic oil and put semi synthetic no apology or nothing just my time waisted so I ask for manager name and got toni he didn't care at all, he told me to google it so while i'm googling it another worker asked me to move my car and I told him i'ma get this info first I already felt rushed and they didn't even fill my funds as the groupon say they should, so in that same time he called me a stupid [censored] [censored] infront of my daughter, if she wasn't there it would have been a bigger problem, this is unacceptable that my kid had to here a employee call her mom a [censored], I will never come back to this location I have wrote on every review that I can regarding this trash company I even put a complaint to the bbb something has to be done I need an apology infront of my kid and I will be happy I will not spend another dime with this place. I always tell my kid noone should call them out there name and here he go doing it infront my kid

I have spent over $2000 with this trash company about three months ago including a Groupon I bought using semi synthetic, I returned today using the same Groupon as last time and I tried to show the guy up front white/Mexican and he kind shushed me and said he will get it after I then told him ok because I'm trying to show you the oil to use he quickly looked and said ok semi, so he bring my car and tells me my total is $71 I ask why I have a Groupon and paid 32 buck for it he then says we'll you always get full synthetic and I told him no because I've only come here twice and I used the same semi synthetic as I did the first time with no problems, so he says he has to pour out synthetic and put semi no apology or nothing so now I'm pissed because that's what I was trying to tell the first guy, after I ask for a manager name bacuse I felt rushed and they didn't fill my fluids as the Groupon as it said they should I was told by TONI he is the manage so basically nothing can be done I then asked for corporate and he told me to Google it, then as I'm googling it another guy comes and say move your car Andi told him once I get the info I need I will and the black guy with glasses who worked 6/11/2022 called me a STUPID [censored] [censored] Infront of my daughter, this is unacceptable I don't care what the problem is I should not have been called that I always tell my kid to never let anyone disrespect her and it happened to me Infront of her this is sad and done by a black man to a black women, if a man was with me he would have gotten his [censored] beat for calling me that but since I was alone he was coward enough to call me that I will never spend anoth dime with this trash company

I have spent over$2000 with this location including a Groupon oil change about 3 months ago, I returned today to use the same Groupon as last time,I tried to tell the guy I have semi synthetic but he sushed me and said he will get it after and I said ok but I want to make sure you use the right oil he quickly looks and says ok semi, so he bring my car and tell me the total is $71 bucks and I ask why I have a Groupon I paid 32 bucks for so he said he had to pour the synthetic out and out semi so at this point I'm pissed because I have things to do and I already tried to tell them that , they didn't apologize for waisting my time or nothing so I asked for a manager name and got TONY Mexican guy with salt and pepper beard, he was rude and said it's ok I said no it's now and he sushed me again and helped another customer so I asked for corporate and was told to Google it, as I am googling it another black guy with glasses told me to move my car so they can get tabother customer and I told him when I get the info I need I will move he then proceeds to call me a STUPID [censored] [censored] Infront of my 5 year old daughter and she asked me why did he call me that I'm so hurt and disgusted for another black man to disrespect another black women and child and the BOSS TONI didn't do anything about it, this is disgusting and I will never be back to spend another dime. Thank you to the owner of the Kwik kar in desoto and Plano for their help

Kwik Kar Loan to fix engine

We where advised that we had to fix the top half of our engine to get the car to accelerate but it was running at the time. When they rebuilt it they said it was no longer holding compression and wouldn’t even start so now it’s not drivable and they want to charge us for a new engine. We took out a Snap financial loan through them to not even fix it.

Desired outcome: Out of the loan we took to have it fixed

Kwik Kar Oil change

Kwik Kat on beach in ft worth messed up our car and won’t return car. Employees were very unprofessional and have a bad attitude. Even hitting on girlfriend in front of her kids

Didn’t tighten drain plug and oil leaked out overnight. Sunday had to put oil in it. Not sure damage as no oil was on dipstick

Then called up there and they wouldn’t let me talk to anyone. Stopped by twice still no call back never see manager or owner

Kwik Kar Car inspection service

One of the employees, Lawrence at location 6464 Greenville ave Dallas, tx was pulling around another customers car and almost hit me as I was parked in the designated line for car inspection. He was pointing his finger thinking I was too close and had I not immediately reversed he would have hit my car even though there was enough space. I was helped by another worker and Lawrence proceeded to follow me and reprimand me in the lobby area saying I needed to listen to him to follow safety protocols rather than just look at him crazy. Lawrence is highly unprofessional and needs anger management help. I will not be servicing my 4 vehicles again at KwikKar.
