My 84 year old mother, Mrs. Vieth and myself ( son u. schaefer) and I visited the HSBC branch in Antibes on Oct. 15th, 2015 to add a USD account to an existing Euro account and subsequently transfer and exchange a fixed amount of Euros to the equivalent of 70K USD . The funds in the USD account were then to be used to buy an HSBC investment fund product. With the exception of a few polite greetings, the conversation was held almost entirely in English as neither my mother nor myself speak French well enough to deal with the subject matter at hand. HSBC - Credit Card Cancellation

I had to hotlist my HSBC Credit Card and after that I mailed HSBC several times not to send a new card and cancel the card.
I have mailed grievance reddressal, online@hsbc.co.in, info@hsbc.co.in but havent received an acknowledgement from anyone. I still get credit card statements every month. If they ever send me a new card I never received it since I was not in the country so I am not sure whom did they deliver the card. I have attached one such communication which began in 2013...

HSBC Bank in Abu Dhabi should receive "The Worst Bank in UAE Award!!!"

The Khalidiah Branch Customer Service Unit Office Mohamed Hamed was unbelievable. When I walked into the branch wanting to open a Premier account, he told me "Don't open the account with us, our service is worse than before", he was referring to the bank's service 9 years ago ( 9 years ago we were bad, but now we are worse).

He was rude, sarcastic and had such bad body language.

Made a phone complaint to the toll free centre, no news or what so ever from the bank for 14...

HSBC or How Serve Badly Clients.
I have been in the financial industry for over 20years and service provider of all the major banks worldwide. Funny enough HSBC is one of my clients on a daily base. I have a company based in Dubai and a subsidiary in Ldn. Both entities bank with HSBC for 4 years now ( start of the company). I have until now no overdraft, no discount facilities so basically more turnover I make more money I have unpaid from clients so monthly some cah flow issues. Simply, my debit card was stolen two months ago. After applying for a new one with service level 7 working days to receive the new card. I received the card from just two days and till now no PIN code. After I reported the issue to their customer care they simply replied "we have to issue a new one and it will take another 15 working days....

Im Yong Boon Wei which currently holding HSBC Credit Card since 2009. As at today i received a letter informing me that my credit limit has been reduce and it is unacceptable for HSBC to simply reduce customer credit limit without informing the reasons. I have been with HSBC for few years and the card payment has been prompt. The thing i fed up the most is the letter issued to me mentioned im a value customer. However my card limit has been reduce as a value customer. Im very not satisfied with the reducing limit without reasons and i will bring this matter to Bank Negara Malaysia....

I asked for some credit limit enhancement and they just rejected it.
To give more background, I am a platinum card holder of HSBC and a customer over 5 years now. Even I never had any overdue / late payment or bad history.
The credit limit increment I asked was a reasonable one since I know some customers has more than that limit even less than my qualifications.
The concern I have is that
Nontransparent HSBC credit evaluation process
Ignorant with customer requests
Not providing enough details for decisions make
No way to direct contact for HSBC...

I really hate to put this complaint up on a 3rd party website. But HSBC is not giving a reply on my complaint for months now and i am forced to do this.
I have a HSBC card. I applied for supplementary card for my sister.
In 2008, she used the card in May.
In 2008, I wanted to use my card in August. Card rejected. Expired. I called card centre, they says they sent new card in Jan. I said i did not receive, ask for new card. They said sorry. New card not activated, thus account cancelled.
How is that my Main card is cancelled in Jan, and my sister could still...

My card was stolen at the end of November of last year. I never used it so had no idea it was missing. I just sent payments online. In January I noticed the balance going up. I found many charges at a gas station for almost $900. I immediately called HSBC and they closed the account, sent a new card and credited back the charges. Then 30 days later, they put the charges back on stating that no police report was filed. So I filed the police report and resubmitted the claim. After several emails of what to do next with one of their fraud representtives, he said that he would forward the information...

The creation of an account with Best Buy to purchase electronics was one of the worst decisions made on my part when the creditor was HSBC. I had initailly paid down my account & therefore decided to make another purchase for myself. When I presented my perfectly good Best Buy card at the registar, they told me that the account had expired since there was no activity for over 7 months. I am extremely disappointed on how I was treated by HSBC. I have been a cardmember for a few years now, have managed and maintained my account in excellent standing. Then October this year, I did not receive my bill in the mail. My bill was for P492.19, a post paid phone subscription. I did not realize it until I saw my phone bill and so I paid it right away. I didn't know if I made it on my due date. My Nov bill came Nov 26 and I saw a P600 late fee for the P492.19 bill. These idiots put a restraint on my checking account, saying that they need to verify funds tranferred into my checking account. And they know the funds were tranferred from another HSBC bank! This has never been a problem with my old HSBC checking account, but with my new checking account I signed up for online. Avoid bank to bank tranfers if at all possible to avoid them doing this to you....

This has Ref to earlier letter dated 11 July 2011, it is to bring to your notice that your business executive visited my office in year 2008 and without my consent opened credit account and issued credit card in my name in April 2008.
The said credit account is never operated by me and no transaction whatsoever amount was, ever made by me. It is clarified that credit card issued to me by your business executive has never been used by me at any point of time.

I have to agree with the nay sayers HSBC DUBAI is one of the No actually the worst bank I have ever used. The phone service is terrible it is impossible to ask a question without being sent to multiple people with long waits in between and having to give all your identifying details each time - the result typically is after a long wait to be disconnected mysteriously before receiving the answer to your question if you are persistent you may actually reach someone who will tell you to go into a branch and inquire. If you go into a branch they often tell you they don't have the forms needed to...

HSBC did it again...

I have a platinum card issued by HSBC UAE last week. I could only use it for few days before i started getting a message "DO NOT HONOR" at few outlets. I called HSBC and strangely i found out that the card has been blocked. The system does not show any reason of blocking it. I was also not informed by anyone from the bank. After wasting many hours trying reaching the bank's call center i could not get a reason at all and was kept on getting a message that we are investigating.
