It took me one week to open an account, and one week to get my dept card,
The city centre branch has a poor service, there is one employee only
And he can't understand English !! Nor Arabic,

My name is Antônio Pedro Lacerda de Barros, and I am writing to you regarding a nightmarish 18-year legal battle that I have waged against Bamerindus Bank in Brazil and its successor, HSBC Bank (Brazil).

Sadly, my story is not unfamiliar to anyone who has followed HSBC in the news the last few years and, in fact, bears many striking resemblances to the following story, which was reported this year by Guardian Money:

I purchased furniture from United Furniture last year, on a 12th month no interest plan. At the point of sale, the month and day were entered incorrectly making the payment date February 6, 2012 instead of June 2, 2013. I have spoken with the store manager who sold the furniture and he has changed the dates in the computer (Brandon Daiken) @ the Brick/United Furniture in Peterborough and he had apologized for the situation. I did all the leg work for HSBC to rectify this situation and still received harassing phone calls after the problem was rectified. I had to provide HSBC with the contact info...

Simply, my debit card was stolen two months ago. After applying for a new one with service level 7 working days to receive the new card. I received the card from just two days and till now no PIN code. After I reported the issue to their customer care they simply replied "we have to issue a new one and it will take another 15 working days....

Im Yong Boon Wei which currently holding HSBC Credit Card since 2009. As at today i received a letter informing me that my credit limit has been reduce and it is unacceptable for HSBC to simply reduce customer credit limit without informing the reasons. I have been with HSBC for few years and the card payment has been prompt. The thing i fed up the most is the letter issued to me mentioned im a value customer. However my card limit has been reduce as a value customer. Im very not satisfied with the reducing limit without reasons and i will bring this matter to Bank Negara Malaysia....

I asked for some credit limit enhancement and they just rejected it.
To give more background, I am a platinum card holder of HSBC and a customer over 5 years now. Even I never had any overdue / late payment or bad history.
The credit limit increment I asked was a reasonable one since I know some customers has more than that limit even less than my qualifications.
The concern I have is that
Nontransparent HSBC credit evaluation process
Ignorant with customer requests
Not providing enough details for decisions make
No way to direct contact for HSBC...

HSBC - Call me during office hours. My boss is complaining about my personal calls because of the collector company

The collector called my direct line and kept demanding that I should pay them and if I won't he won"t stop calling me during office hours. So I just put down the phone and refuse to answer my direct line so he just called the other number. Our office in charge answered the phone and she asked the collector to call my direct line since she have to use her line to call the client because she is already late in her meeting but the collector refused to call me to other line . HSBC - Block credit account

I recently moved to the US, opened an account through HSBC's international banking center, got a checking account and a credit account - all good so far.
To my mailbox, I got a "welcome kit" with 2 checks that were associated with my credit account. Which, as I was told, I can use for anything - great (so far).
Of course I got settled in an apartment leasing, and as the normal people do I used the check to pay rent. And then - all of a sudden, without any prior notice - my credit account got blocked.

Hi I just like to express my disappointments with the new set of tellers at your 36 and broadway nyc branch. I think they need retraining re customer service. There had been many incidents that they have made us uncomfortable with how they treat us everytime we go there. We have a business account and have been holding an account for many years and been going to these bank for many years since its down at the lobby of our office. My card was stolen at the end of November of last year. I never used it so had no idea it was missing. I just sent payments online. In January I noticed the balance going up. I found many charges at a gas station for almost $900. I immediately called HSBC and they closed the account, sent a new card and credited back the charges. Then 30 days later, they put the charges back on stating that no police report was filed. So I filed the police report and resubmitted the claim. After several emails of what to do next with one of their fraud representtives, he said that he would forward the information...

Three days ago HSBC telephoned me to say they had blocked an attempted fraud. I was ever so pleased.
Today they paid the same fraudsters from my account because "they kept submitting the request for money" I was not pleased.
I would suggest to the HSBC Fraud department, or imbeciles as I now refer to them as, once an attempt to withdraw monies is clarified as an attempt at fraud, it stays as an attempted fraud and it is stupidity at its most heinous to finally give them money because "they asked for it time and time again". I purchased a computer from COMP USA approximately 6 years ago.Unknowingly I thought it was interest free, while HSBC states it was 60 months.The statement had $25 as the minimum ---I was having times such as 4 hospitalizations where I had to make sure the payment arrived.I had sent $50 a month for at least to be sent automatically from my bank. The creation of an account with Best Buy to purchase electronics was one of the worst decisions made on my part when the creditor was HSBC. I had initailly paid down my account & therefore decided to make another purchase for myself. I am extremely disappointed on how I was treated by HSBC. I have been a cardmember for a few years now, have managed and maintained my account in excellent standing. Then October this year, I did not receive my bill in the mail. My bill was for P492.19, a post paid phone subscription. I did not realize it until I saw my phone bill and so I paid it right away. I didn't know if I made it on my due date. My Nov bill came Nov 26 and I saw a P600 late fee for the P492.19 bill. HSBC has called me at least once a week, telling me they found my resume on Monster.com. They always ask me if I had found a job or am interested in working as a financial advisor.

Even after I was promised that my number would be placed on the no call list last week, I received a phone call on 2 November 2011. There person calling said the above statements, that she found my resume on Monster.com, so on and so forth....

These idiots put a restraint on my checking account, saying that they need to verify funds tranferred into my checking account. And they know the funds were tranferred from another HSBC bank! This has never been a problem with my old HSBC checking account, but with my new checking account I signed up for online. Avoid bank to bank tranfers if at all possible to avoid them doing this to you....
