I called in a claim on or about the first of April from a Extremely bad winter that we had from Nov 2009, to April 2010. The damage consisted of Wind, Ice, and Snow. Now my policy does disclude ice and snow damage unless it is caused by something that they do cover. Wind. Now we had 100 mile an hour winds that tore up my roof especially in one area. I was not here for christmas or the first week of January 2010. When I came home I found the one section of the house flooded with water due to the damage on the roof. During the winter I mantained the house very well and considering the winter we had with minimal damage. I am also disabled and even with limited capabilities, I kept the house from falling apart and shoveled the roof when the weather allowed and kept the shingles in place as allowed by the weather and the ice on the roof. To give a general idea, we had an average of 40" s of snow on the ground pretty much till the first part of April and we still had terrible weather untill the end of it and winds up to 80 miles an hour but for the most part gust of 40 to 50 mph. When I called, I tried to ecplain the situation and the kind lady said we should probably list it under snow. Thinking she was trying to be accomidating I didn't realize where this would lead. Of course they denied the claim because they don't cover snow damage. When I asked about the wind, I was told they did but why didn't I mention it and I said I tried but I was told we should list it under snow. So they sent a second adjuster out, now get this. No mistaking water damage of the wind damage to the roof, but they claim that the damage is settling. So now I have my morgage company involved who is going to send out a rep. to access the damage. I already know what they will find and what they will say. How in the world did they come up with the house settling as the reason the section of the house is water damaged. Pictures to come later. First I need to leave everything as is untill the county house inspector, and the Rep from 21st Century.

We live in Southeast Louisiana and our heat index is going to be 112 degrees today. Our air conditioning unit went out and it is only a year old, we filed a complaint on June 14, 2011 . We are insured through Home First Agency and have got nothing but the run around! They sent their AC contractor out yesterday only for us to be told it could take up to 3 more weeks for a part to arrive and immediately the guy, before even looking at it, started taking pictures saying the guy that looked at it before must have tore it up. Guess What? Our AC guy works for and is contracted through our Parish and is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND IN HIGH DEMAND! THEY WERE EXTREMELY RUDE AND SLAMMED MY DOOR SHUT AS THE WERE LEAVING AND I HAD A SICK LITTLE GIRL TAKING A NAP BECAUSE SHE WASN'T FEELING WELL! I have an asthmatic child and Louisiana heat IS NOT healthy for him, I also babysit but have lost customers because of NO AC. My next claim will be my window sill in the living room because hard rain we got on one day last week. If it DOES NOT GET FIXED BY THIS FRIDAY I AM CONTACTING A LAWYER, THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE, INSURANCE COMMISSIONER, and OUR LOCAL NEWS STATION! TIRED OF THE CRAP!

i am going through a similar situation with this company. The adjuster they sent out was from another state.I was told to cover the damage to my roof with plastic. When the adjuster arrived he took pictures without removing the plastic, then ststed my damage was miminal.I had another roofing specialist come to my house and he stated due to wind and water damage ( from a bad storm we had a few day prior) the shingles needs to be replaced. The insurance company does not want to pay.I really can not afford a lawyer. What can i do now?
