Holiday Inn Failure to compete bookings correctly

So my daughter and I flew in from the west coast to st louis for a trade show the rooms were booked back in nov 2023 we came in checked in with no issues till 3 hrs after check in my daughter heard a knock on her door while in the shower and then sounds like someone was trying to enter her room. She threw on a towel and partialy cracked the door it was hotel manager asking who she was and who rented the room since it showed the room as vacant she gave my name and room number to them and the proceeded to come to my room mind you I was mappimg due to jet lag when my daughter started to blow up my phone in a panic. I answerd my door and was asked to go to the fromt counter which I did promply, I was greeted by the asst gm that asked me how I psid for my rooms and on what card (mind you I paid on doth rooms on check in with the same card) and I was asked for my card again I said no it was already verified on check ing and I informed them that it was all good but my daughter was in a total panic attack from there interaction at her room in notheing but a bath towel I kept calling the asst gm ihg she stated her names not ihg and that she will place both bookings on my room so that I pay accordingly on check out and how she will be there when I do check out, I took that as a treat and spent the rest of my night trying to find other accommodations but due to the event there was none avaliable at other facilities over the course of my stay I talked to desk members that asked if I was even offerd any compensations (I wasnt) and paid full price for our stay at full rate, I have been an ihg member for many years and travel all over the contry to cons and events as a retired us marine and retired fire capt nurse medic never have I felt so belittled and my daughter dont want to travel at all and shes taking over my company bad form she didnt even want to leave her room because she felt they were going to put her out on the streets 2200 miles from home I would give minus stars if that was an option

Holiday Inn Cleaning products

I recently checked into a Holiday Inn Express, and was very disappointed when I walked in the room and it totally REEKED of highly scented chemical cleaning products.

Many many people, myself included, are extremely sensitive/allergic to the chemicals used to scent the cleaning products. There are much better options for cleaning products and they are just as effective at cleaning.

I understand that many people equate fragrance with “freshness”, but the chemicals used to create these fragrances are highly toxic.

I hope you will look into this and remedy this very serious problem.

Holiday Inn Bill

My husband and I got approval to buy a car at 7:00 p.m. on 2-10-2024. We live in Eden, Georgia, so it was a bit over a six-hour drive. We arrived at the Holiday Inn Express at approximately 1:20 a.m. on 2-11-2024.

As I was checking us out on 2-11-2024 at 10:00 a.m., the receptionist told me "Shame you didn't check in on Sunday, it would've been half price because it's a slow day". I told her we did check in on Sunday after 1:00 a.m., she said, "Oh, I meant around 7:00 in the morning.

We were charged $279.00 plus taxes = 315.27. I've stayed in some nice hotels, but this was the most expensive, over 300$ a night.

My point being if we arrived on Sunday and left on Sunday then shouldn't we have been charged half price?

Upon checking my receipt, we were checked in on 2-10-24, we were not even there until 2-11-24.

Holiday Inn False advertisement and very disappointing and unsafe stay for this price.

The accommodations at this hotel were extremely disappointing, with the smallest room I've ever encountered. The bathroom door was so cramped that it wouldn't even open properly, and the toilet was inconveniently positioned, making it difficult to navigate. Our attempts to take a shower were thwarted by the appalling state of the facilities, which were in dire need of cleanliness.

It was disheartening to realize that for the same cost. The staff was exceptional friendliness.

Claimed loss: This was absolutely the worse Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at.

Desired outcome: Not only did I pay $463.76 before arriving. I had to pay an additional $95 upon check in. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, as there are undoubtedly better options available in the vicinity.

Holiday Inn Misrepresentation of room

On Dec 2, 2023, we checked into a room at Holiday Inn St. Augustine- World Golf. We planned this little getaway and picked this hotel based on the pictures depicting a king-size bed with a room with a couch and TV across from the couch a place to cuddle and chill together. We went to our room only to find no couch and one metal chair in the room with a king-size bed. I went to the desk clerk to complain that we were in the wrong room and he said: "None of the rooms had couches in them they had been all removed some time ago". I told him the room was being misrepresented and that it was fraud to do this. he said that's the way all the rooms were and they never changed to pictures of the rooms. Our reservations were from 12/02/2023 to 12/04/2023 we left on the third as the room was not what we paid for, so we lost a day. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn for many years this was the worst.

Claimed loss: I lost 1 day plus I stayed in a room that was not what I payed for.

Holiday Inn Lack of customer service

We stayed at London Heathrow Airport location. We booked two rooms exactly the same and were charged two different rates. We also received 100.00 pound parking ticket because we parked out front well we unloaded our luggage. I have been dealing with head office since September 10, 2023 and have only received lip service. Please avoid staying here!

Holiday Inn Timeshare ownership

We have been trying to discuss our problems with this timeshare company, but every time we attempt to communicate with them, we are met with false accusations and dodged questions. This has been an extremely frustrating experience and has led us to believe that the company is fraudulent and has no intention of providing us with any assistance or support.

Let me give you a little background on our experience. We initially contacted Holiday Inn Orange Lake in hopes of being able to rent our timeshare and make some extra money. However, we were unable to do so and ended up reaching out to a third party for assistance, hoping that they would be able to help us rent out our timeshare. Unfortunately, this company only ripped us off and we were left without any assistance or resolution.

We then tried to reach out to Holiday Inn Orange Lake to discuss and resolve our issues, but instead of providing us with any assistance, we were met with hostility, disrespect, and false accusations of being combative and confrontational.

We are extremely disappointed with the way that this company has treated us, and we feel that they have been dishonest in their dealings with us. We have been trying to seek a resolution for a long time, but instead, have been met with roadblocks and seemingly insurmountable challenges at every turn.

We demand that Holiday Inn Orange Lake takes full responsibility for their wrongdoing and provides us with a clear path to resolve this situation. We refuse to continue our business with them and demand that they let us out of the timeshare contract immediately. We are frustrated and heartbroken by this awful experience, and we demand immediate action to put this matter to rest. The frustrating part about this is that they threatened to take it back because we would not pay and decided not to go through with it. We’re still trying to figure out why they didn’t just close the account the way they said they would.

Holiday Inn cancellation of booking

On 5 October 2023, I mistakenly made a booking for Holiday inn Rochester New York, instead of Holiday Inn Rochester Kent UK. I phoned IHG worldwide reservations office and they told me that the reservation had been cancelled, but I had to phone priceline. When I phoned Priceline, I had to give my reservation number which they said they had no record of. I could not speak to a person, this was all automated. Every time I phone them the same thing happens. I have now received my credit card statement and find that I have been charged. Please help

Holiday Inn Charged a smoking fee of 200 and I never smoked in the room.

I stayed at the holiday inn express in Charlston twice on my trip to Mertyle beach. The first stay went well. The second stay I left the motel at 4 am to catch a flight. When returning home I found that they had charged me $200 for a smoking violation. I had at no time smoked in my room. And when reaching out to the motel was told a manager would call to get my refund. No call back. So I called again and was told the manager was on vacation and no one but them could refund my $200. This was on my stay on Oct. 2nd under Michael Thompson Montrose Colorado. Although I did have a cig., pack with some butts in the trash can in my room that I threw away so as not to litter the property outside, I again at no time smoked in my room or the building. They had a smoking area by the front door, and another over by the pool. At all times I used these areas. I feel that there is no reason why I should have been charged this fee, and never notified or told it was being taken. I took great care in reading the smoking policy when checking in, and followed it to a T. I feel maybe I should have just thrown my butts in the yard and avoided all this.

Holiday Inn Deficiencies at Holiday Inn Express Below

Our recent stay went well at Holiday Inn Express at 4791 Windsor Commons Court in Jacksonville, FL (26-29 Sept 2023) except for the following problems: this hotel needs more luggage racks/carriers. Most guests had to wait long periods of time to get one to load luggage during check-in or check-out. My wife and I have stayed here for our annual Mayo Clinic/Jax visits since 2010. Previously this hotel had ample numbers of luggage carriers. Please remedy this significant problem. The goodwill it will create will will be worth more than the relatively small cost to IHG. This current problem reflects poorly on your company. Also, the elevators were noisy with rough landings at the 5th floor. They likely need more maintenance. In addition, floors 5 and 4 did not have functioning ice machines.

Holiday Inn Employee complaint

All of the front desk clerk, front desk manger, and hotel manager are friends and constantly gossip about housekeepers with the breakfast attendants. It is very uncomfortable work environment. Constant lying and gossiping my management. They share personal information of guests and employees, shared my medical document with other employee. Hotel manager makes everything difficult for me but easy for others. Steals tips and belittles everyone that's not in their group. We are adults and they do not act as such. It's ridiculous and unprofessional. Fort Payne Alabama Holiday Inn is express. There is much more ridiculous things happening to but I'm so tired of the harassment.

Desired outcome: Front desk and management be held responsible and terminated.

Holiday Inn Elevator service out since May

It started in May we stayed for 2 days at the Holiday Inn at 21 Schuyler Blvd in Fishkill New York the problem was that the Elevator would not work for about 10-15 minuets which we accepted But we liked the hotel and the service people where great We needed an overnight stay on Sunday Sept 3rd so we made reservations again at the same hotel only to find that the elevator was now not working at all. We were booked on the 4th floor my partner is 80 years old and has trouble walking up the stairs The person at the desk was able to change it to a room on the second floor but he still had trouble walking up the stairs why is it taking so long to fix an elevator I feel that nobody cares I don't know if I will go back to that hotel when I will need a room even though I really liked the hotel.

There are a lot of other hotels in the area.

Holiday Inn Fraudulent credit card charges while staying at a holiday inn

I provided my card for incidentals while staying at the holiday inn in southhaven ms. I stayed during the august 7 thru the 9th and should have only been charged the 39.44 for breakfast. However, I received charges of over $1,700 for periods I was not at the hotel. I have contacted the hotel and my credit card company to report these charges as fraud. These are some of the charges.

Holiday Inn Tarjeta de credito clonada

Buenos dias,

Soy Padilla Jessica Veronica, una huesped habitual del hotel.

La ultima vez que visitamos su cadena fue en el 2021:

El dia 24 de julio recibi un pago en mi tarjeta de credito American Express con debit en Instacart por 99,00 USD. Luego de llamar imediatamente AMEX, y bloquear la tarjeta, me informaron del Security office de AMEX que el delivery fue entragado en 4333 Collins avenue Miami Beach justamente en Holiday Inn.

Logicamente Amex trato el pago como fraude y han iniciado el proceso de return del pagamento. Le escribo porque non logri capacitarme come pudo suceder una cosa talmente grave en una cadena como la de Holiday Inn sobretodo cuando cada ano somo huespedes de ustedes.

Queda en espera de una cordial respuesta y verifiquero mi posicion a nivel legal.
