on 1/28 I attempted to reserve a ticket with the "cash" option and received an error message asking that I call customer support to purchase this ticket. I did so and was told I needed to call a 7/11 location as it was a cash reservation. I did so and was told there were issues with cash reservation on line and I needed to call website support. Called them too and STILL could not get help though they were WEBSITE SUPPORT they told me they could not fix the system. I asked them if they could honor the $95 cash price (compared to the $140 regular price) and was told no, keep trying. Does...

I have been traveling with Greyhound for a number of years, and have traveled countless kilometeres throughout Canada for the most part without any troubles. Last night, after traveling for 16 hours from Southern BC, had a 1 hour and fifteen minute layover in Spruce Grove AB beginning at 11:15pm. My transfer bus was scheduled for 12:30am but did not show up. The Greyhound depot was closed and I was left on the side of the road in -17 weather in a foreign town. I bought an prepaid ticket before the day I departed. Went to the location the next day arrived there at 4:25, when bus was suppose to arrive at 5:10. Waited at the location for 2 hours trying to get and contact with someone for information on the where about. Apparently they feel like there is no need for customer service because, most of the customers are poor or make low wages. I think there needs to be workers at the area if the buses are running around those time....

I purchased tickets a few weeks in advance. I never received the tickets due to a printing error. This I can understand, but Greyhound refused to re-send the tickets. They also never arranged for me to pick up the tickets, which they were supposed to do. Also, I was never refunded my mailing fee or for the price of the tickets. Lastly, because Greyhound kept promising a refund, I waited too long to get my money back (by filing a complaint with my credit card company for Services Never Received). If this was a one time only problem then I wouldn't be here posting this.
I'm not that uptight but this has been getting worse.
I've noticed a SERIOUS problem w/Greyhound in BC.
This is what happened this year and its typical example of my experience with Greyhound in BC over the last 5 years or so.
We were asked to show up 1 hour early.
We were told that passengers travelling past Kamloops were being put on an express bus to Calgary.
The bus left 45 minutes late and stopped at every stop.

You probably have heard me write this in my reviews before if you have been reading the reviews by Greyhound.
Far and wide, Greyhound is considered a terrible company with horrible customer service.
I did not pay much attention to the negativity surrounding this company until I got robbed by one of their employees.

I took a greyhound bus from New York City to Washington DC at 08/20/2011. With me was a suitcase(dark gray, brand: diplomat, one lock on side), which contains my passport, a laptop and some cloth. Leaving Caesar casino on the scheduled 7:15p.m., first arriving at New York Port Authority, then scheduled to continue the trip to Brooklyn, the bus driver arrived on time. As we board the coach, the driver informed the passengers that asked if we are forwarding to Brooklyn he said he was late and there's a bus behind him in about twenty minutes later, leaving from Tropicana which will take you to Brooklyn. Now I know the scheduled buses arriving into Brooklyn, and these are two separate routes. This particular bus driver, no matter what route he has going to Brooklyn, he never want to go....

Worst service ever. I tried to purchase a ticket online (as I have every year to the same destination), and after clicking “purchase” it came back with “unable to complete your purchase”. No explanation why, just “unable” so I call a number. And am told to call another number, customer service. And I get voicemail. For customer service! I call another number and I get a human voice to speak with (finally), and take the time to tell him all my information, only to have him tell me “unable to complete your purchase”. I checked the website and call 1-800-231-2222 to confirm that the bus station was still there. bought a 60 day pass to visit family and friends in the United States. It was expensive but I thought it would be cheaper than driving.

It takes three times as long to get anywhere on the Greyhound.

The employees are dirty and ignorant (especially in the smaller towns) it is as if they have absolutely NO supervision. I have seen customer service reps take personal calls on their cell phones while customers were waiting in line.

The buses are outdated and filthy. Even after the buses are "Cleaned" there is still dust everywhere and stains on...

I recently took a one way out of Dayton, Ohio to Chicago, Illinois.. It is normally a 5 hour drive;. My family waited for my "express bus" to show up to the terminal and became worried after waiting an hour past the scheduled arrival time!. First of all, the bus was extremely nasty with paper, used baby pamper and bloodied tissue on the floor". The seats were so nasty and dirty I could literally see the dirt on the seats.. Upon alertingt he driver as to the condition of the bus, I was told that the tissue paper and pamper would be removed but nothing else as he has a schedule to keep!....

I want to complain about Greyhound bus driver who drives bus almost everyday in morning around 4:40 AM or 4:45 AM. They are very rude and racist. I was standing in line after 1st person and there were 2 black young ladies were behind me. Bus driver was also black lady she came and she said I have only 2 seats left and then she took those black ladies with her. I had to travel that bus every day for work. It was so upsetting me because of that i was late from my work. I think Greyhound should check out their emloyees....

I have been on 3 trips with Greyhound buses, and it will remain at 3 for the rest of my life as I will never go on a Greyhound bus again. There were significant problems on each of the 3 trips that I have been one.
On the first trip, the Greyhound system did not allow me to print my e-ticket. When arriving at the Greyhound office, I had to purchase a new ticket as they said they could not help me. I still have not received a refund for the first ticket that I bought (which I could not print due to Greyhound's system error), nearly 2 months after the incident.
