Forest River Warranty is Useless

We purchased a 2022 Fores River Wildcat and noticed after our first trip that the rear jacks were low. On the first trip, the underpinning came off on the highway and had to be replaced, We reported the low position of the jacks and were told they were fine. On our second trip, when we went to lower the jacks at our site, the right rear one was bent. We took it in for service and the dealer reported that the frame was bent. Forest River has refused to cover this under warranty stating that the RV must have been hit. The dealer informed Forest River that there was no evidence that the RV had been hit, but they still will not cover the repairs. We are ready to drive it to Indiana and leave it in their parking lot. Poor quality, poor customer service, we are done with Forest River.

Forest River Wildwood Heritage glen 369bl

Our 6 month old RV went into the shop on October 30, 2023 and as of today (Feb 13, 2024) the workshop is still waiting on approvals from FR.

In addition, the scope of repairs needed - eg floor needs pulling up and walls replaced and cabinets and lino, removing the underbelly to replace a defective valve, things not being installed correctly when new - might mean it would be cheaper and faster just to replace this lemon RV.

Desired outcome: Approvals on all warranty work by end of Feb 2024 or replace my unit

Forest River Bimini top shredded in 6 mos

I purchased a 2022 Nepallo 22TL new from Camping World in Summerfield, FL in August of 2023. I’ve used the boat less than 10 times and the Bimini top has already shredded - I took the boat back to Camping World where they want to charge me $1500 for a new top. They will not honor the 5 year warranty on the canvas and they will not answer the phone or call me back after several attempts. I would not recommend this brand or product to anyone. They simply do not support the product or the consumer after initial purchase.

Claimed loss: $1500

Desired outcome: Replacement of Bimini top for my practically new boat.

Forest River Grey wolf 20rdse

I purchased a new travel trailer from Camping World on 08/08/2023. My wife and I went on our first trip a few weeks later. On our first night I was taking a shower in camper and noticed water pooling in left rear corner in shower base. I looked closer on noticed a major gap on left rear corner between base and surround. Upon return from trip I called Camping world and scheduled an appointment to look at the problem. The inspection was on 12/7/23 and the tech said that the shower base was not installed properly and need to be repaired to prevent water damage. They turned in a claim form to Forest River and after several days the got a response that claim was denied that the base was installed as designed. I talked to several other people about this and they agreed it was substandard workmanship and needed repair before using shower again. I want the company to acknowledge the problem and repair it under warranty.

Forest River Warranty work denied for water tank leaking

Purchased a Cherokee wolf pup 14 ccB L in July 2023. First outing we filled up water tank and drove to campsite. Upon reaching campsite water tank was only 1/4 full. Reviewed the tank and noticed an elbow joint on the tank had allowed the water to spill out during the drive. The elbow joint should be connected to the overflow valve on the side of the unit. Took it to our dealer for warranty work. Forest River denied the work and said that it was to spec. How can you have a unit that does not hold water in the tank while you’re driving to your destination.

Desired outcome: Repair the unit, so that water does not spill out of the tank during the drive.

Forest River Prime time fury 3012x

We own a 2017 Prime Time Fury 3012X toy hauler , made by Forest river. On August 31, 2023, We had a wheel hub-drum break on the rear axle and the entire wheel assembly fell off at 70mph. Bad bearings. There was no sign of improper maintenance on all other wheels.

I took it all apart myself and looked for parts to fix the damage. In the process, I found that the dry weight on this trailer is 7200# .There are 4400# axles. Total capacity of the trailer is 8800#. The gross vehicle weight rating is 10,136#.

I talked to a Just Answer RV mechanic of 20years experience and he said there should be 6000# axles under this trailer. Even 5200# axles could do the job in my opinion. This is a dangerous trailer to have on the road.

Forest river refuses to cover the damages. They say it is equipped with what it should have. I think not! They have hundreds or thousands of these trailers on the road.

They should correct this problem and pay for my losses in my opinion

Desired outcome: Forest river should pay for new axles installation and parts. Plus body damage and loss of weekend campsite fees

Forest River Vibe Trailer

Purchased a Vibe trailer on July 28, 2023. Have had problems with the trailer from day 1, not small minor problems but major problems. We have used the trailer 5 days on 2 seperate occasions. Came back early the first trip and just had to deal with the problems the second trip. It has been back to the dealer for repairs twice for a total of 40 days. We are requesting financial compensation due to the fact that we bought a brand new trailer that has had to be practically rebuilt.

Some of the problems that we have had. Axles had to be replaced after 90 miles of use, hot water heater not working, refrigerator not working, electrical wiring not properly installed over 20 items had to fixed or replaced.

Forest River 2022 forest river wolf pack 365pack16 5th wheel toy hauler

We purchased a 2022 Forest River 5th wheel Wolf Pack Toy hauler (Wolf 365Pack16) back at the end of February. From Camping World in Braidwood Illinois. We kept it at dealership until we had a spot for it at home. We brought it home around the middle of April. As we were pulling it home, my husband noticed that the brakes felt abnormal. After we got it home, we went inside and noticed that the trim on the ceiling in front of the door was falling off and that the carpet was coming unsewn at the seam. Also, my husband accidently tore the wall paper trim on the slide. We brought it back in the beginning of May. They had it until the first week of July and they told us we could come pick it up and use it until the trim piece came in. They said that the carpet, the ceiling trim and the brakes were fixed. We picked it up and the brakes were not fixed and the trim on the ceiling was still coming off. When I called, they said it was because of the humidity, the glue wouldnt hold. We never did get to use it. They called and said the trim was in at the end of the 2nd week of July, so we brought it back. Told them that the brakes and the trim still wasnt fixed. They had it another week or 2. Called us and said everything was done so my husband went to pick it up. As he was leaving, the brakes STILL werent working, so he brought it right back. 2 weeks later, they called and said it was fixed. We brought it home Aug. 4th. The brakes are fixed but the ceiling trim is still falling off and now the refrigerator is throwing a code LV (Low Voltage). We have it plugged into a 30amp outlet and the batteries are fully charged. We have owned this thing for almost 5 months and its been in the shop more than we've had it at home. We STILL havent been able to use it. Is there anything that can be done? At this point we're ready to get rid of it. I have looked into the Illinois Lemon Law. This is getting VERY frustrating.

Desired outcome: We would like either a new camper or a full refund so we can go some where else.

Forest River Replacement of broken parts

i have contacted Ruff's RV in Painesville Ohio with absolutely no resolve. i have had multiple issues with my new camper such as leaking shower faucet causing water damage, a broken stabilizer jack on the driver side rear, and now i am unable to lock me camper because the entry lock is broken. The dealership is of no help at all. Forest River Prime time tracer - 522847

While replacing a stabilizer jack last year, after it got damaged while towing, I was getting mild shocks in my hands as I laid on the ground to remove the support bolts. At that time, I decided to replace both the front stabilizer jacks to maintain consistency. Also, I didn't think much of the issue, and may have mentioned to the Dealership. Then I decided to replace the back stabilizer jacks to have the same jacks all the way around. Now, because it cost $100+ for two jacks, and to have the Dealership install them, that was another $200/hr. The replacement was simple, remove the supporting bolts, remove the old jack, install the new jack and bolt into place. Something my kids could have done.

The first jack was damaged on Sept. 4th while I was retrieving the camper for the Lake that my wife and daughter were using. Shortly afterwards, I purchased the new jacks in got them installed, so we would be ready to go camping in a couple of weeks.

Since then, I have had an awning installed over the slide out, an electric jack for the hitch and a Blue Ox Sway Bar. All of this was completed by the Dealership. It was during this time, that I mentioned the shocking incident, but the Dealership didn't make a big deal of it, so I wasn't concerned.

At that time, I purchased the second pair of stabilizer jacks so I would be ready to install. This last week, I installed the last two jacks, and was continually shocked while removing and installing the jacks.

I called the Dealership, and they informed me that this wasn't a good issue and should be fixed prior to using the camper again. As someone could be seriously hurt from being shocked.

When I contacted the Manufacturer, that advised that they are unable to participate in the repair, because I changed my own stabilizer jacks. If I had the Dealership replace the Stabilizer Jacks, would they have had the same issue, I am guessing that they wouldn't have plugged the camper in just to perform outside repairs. Then the issue would never have been discovered until someone got shocked and maybe seriously injured.

Desired outcome: Fix the issue under warranty and determined the root cause. Or takes the camper back and refund money paid and I will go find a different reliable camper.

Forest River 2023 Greywolf 29TE

Purchased 2023 Forest River Greywolf 29TE brand new. Took it camping once and entire camper flooded, underbelly busted loose bc of filling with water, black tank hookup leaked, shower wall coming away from the wall, and flooring already coming up. Returned to dealer to exchange and was denied by Forest River stating they had the right to repair first. After service department looked at camper they stated PTrap was busted (from 60 pound child taking a shower) causing the flooding. Forest River approved basic repairs according to warranty and denied larger repairs we believe are warranted. I basically now own a $40k piece of [censored] of wheels that I can’t trust to take camping or even last half the term of my loan. Add insult to injury the value of my product has now greatly diminished due to repairs required that will forever be attached to this serial number! Couldn’t even last ONE CAMPING TRIP!

Desired outcome: Exchange of new camper that can be proven to be reliable or refund of diminished value.

the outdoor lighting strip (12 volt) under the awning caught fire, setting it on fire, the material melted and set fire to the deck, MAJOR damage to the side rear door and top of the camper, the 12 fuse was blown but failed to cut the power before the strip caught on fire, family and animals safe but SCARED to lay down to sleep
