We purchased a 2013 Ford C-Max on October 30, 2012. We wanted another hybrid (we also have a 2006 Toyota Prius) and the C-Max is "rated" at 47 mpg city and highway.

Instead of the rated 47 mpg, we're averaging 39.5 mpg.

Our C-Max has been back to the dealership for service FIVE times, four times for the electronic "brain" (Ford Sync) and one for a mechanical failure, which required the driver's power seat track to be replaced.

The electronic issues range from the GPS being off calibration, the clock changing itself randomly,...

2002 f150 4x4 5.4 Both sides exhaust manifolds b.o ! If you search the web on used ford trucks, all you read is exhaust leak. My truck has 114, 000 miles, i have been a mechanic for 40 plus years! To whom it may concern,

I am writing to inform you of quality concerns of Ford vehicles, I have written Ford representatives of my concerns regarding a factory defect to my 2004 Ford Escape XLT, but they have refused to look into it and have basically said sorry about your luck! In June 2009 I purchased a NEW Ford Explorer XLT, I noticed that the brakes were loud, a bang sound when a/c is on and I noticed the exterior lights stop lighting for recheck after 5 mins (I later learned that is a change in design) The transmission slips and bangs(they are telling me this is a known issue with the design, but nothing they can do about it, The Sync operation by the steering controls is incorrect. I am writing this letter knowing full well that I will simply get a robotic response from one of the minions at Ford corporate. I know this because that is what I have been going through for the last couple of months. All that you seem to know how to say is NO. I have a 2007, Mercury. The transmission went out with only 79.000 miles. The cost of repairs(replacement) was $2658.17. Two weeks later, the air conditioning went out also. Costing me $1500.00 (approximately) A car that new(4 years old) should have been good for few thousand miles. Ford Motors will not help me in any of these repairs. There will never be another Ford product in my driveway. Would like some recource of action here....

I purchased a 2011 Escape, in May 2011, I have bumper to bumper warranty with an additional extended warranty that I purchased. I had an issue with the air conditioner condenser, they told me a rock hit it and it had to be replaced, however it was physical damage they say, so it is not covered. My husband has been working for Ford Motor Company for 13 years and he worked at the Rawsonville Plant and was transfered to the dearborn plant not even doing his trade, he is on the line now. He was put on C-crew and that is Firday and Saturday days and Sunday and Monday nights which is till 4am. He just bumped to days and they are saying that he has to go by plant seniority and not company seniority. The company recognises his company seniority by not the union. I purchased a new 2010 Ford Super Duty with a 6.4 litre Diesel engine in june 2010 from koons ford of annapolis Maryland. I purchased a 2011 Ford Tarsus January 2011. When it snows hard the windshield wipers ice up and I have to stop the car, get out and physically take the ice off the wipers. I brought my '07 E-350 in for repairs on 12/20/10 and was told that I needed my EGR valve replaced, so I authorized the repair. I picked the van up and drove 10 miles down the road and had the same problems that I brought it in for (lack of power and rough idle), I was then told that I needed an EBP sensor and a Back Pressure Tube, so I once again authorized the repair, and once again I drove 10 miles down the road and still had the same problems. Tried to resolve an issue concerning a recall that was supposed to have been done in 2007 by COLLIER FORD OF REO IN according to Fords records. The recall number is 06s45 (door latches freeze), been having recurring problems. Had vehicle inspected on Jan 21, 2011 by Champion Ford of Owensboro, Ky they had found that the recall has not been done at all. I even have documentation that it was inspected by Champion Ford. We leased a Ford Explorer in 2007. The car had Goodyear Fortera tires on it. Between 26, 000 and 37, 000 miles three out of the four tires developed cracked sensor valve stems. The first I had repaired within one half hour of the "low Pressure" light coming on. The second cracked valve stem caused a blow out before we could get it to a garage resulting in needing to buy a new tire. The third time it happened I parked the car and had it towed. When they repaired the third tire stem I had them replace the one on the fourth and only tire that the stem hadn't cracked on yet.

I had to replace the battery in a 2004 Ford Focus. After the battery was replaced, the radio would not work. I called a local Ford dealership and was informed that the radio had to reset at a dealership by their computer at a cost of $42.50. This is because of the way the vehicle was designed. I believe this a scam perpetrated upon consumers by Ford Motor Company to force us to only buy Ford products from those authorized by Ford....
