FashionMia: False Advertising and Poor Customer Service
I, like many others, was fooled by the beautiful photos on FashionMia's website and decided to purchase a stunning matt-black skater dress with a lace trim for a total of GBP?26.84, including nearly GBP?6 for shipping. However, what I received was not at all like what was pictured. The dress was made from cheap, shiny lining fabric, had puckered seams, and lacked the "skater" flare that was advertised on the site.
I politely contacted the company for assistance in getting a full refund for an item that was not fit for purpose and not as described. However, my troubles began when the "dispute managers" offered me a measly US$8 (note the wrong currency) if I kept the dress, then US$5, then US$6, and then US$5 again in order to "help" me "cut" my "losses". They took no responsibility for the mis-selling and only offered to let me return the dress at MY cost for a refund of ONLY the cost of the garment (which they still claimed was in US$).
I took my issue to Paypal when it became impossible to deal with the two "dispute managers" contradicting themselves and insulting me by suggesting that I had to "cut" my "losses" as though it was a case of me changing my mind. Despite this, they persisted and even ignored my request to keep the conversation professional and on Paypal.
It's now a matter of principle for me, and if FashionMia were in the UK, I would have reported them to trading standards by now. Instead, I've had to ask Paypal to intervene and resolve this. It's disappointing to see a company that claims to offer quality clothing and customer service treat their customers so poorly. I worked hard for my money, and it's frustrating to see it wasted on a product that was falsely advertised.
Horrible Refund Process and Customer Service at FashionMia - Read Reviews Before Buying!
I gotta say, I wish I had read the reviews before I made my purchase on FashionMia. I mean, I placed my order and then started reading the reviews and boy was I in for a surprise. I immediately (within 5 hours) started the cancellation and refund process.
Now, let me tell you, it has been a journey. I have exchanged no less than a dozen emails with them. They offered me a discount, free shipping, and even a store credit, but I declined all of it. I just wanted my money back, plain and simple. They kept asking me why I wanted a refund, but I told them it was none of their business. I just wanted my money back.
Then they told me they would put the money in a "wallet" and I could use it for a future purchase. I said no, I wanted a full refund. But they insisted that this was their refund process and I had to go through it. So now I'm waiting for the money to be placed in my wallet and then I'll have to go through whatever steps are needed to get my money back. And to top it all off, they told me the process could take up to 45 days. Can you believe that?
I buy from a lot of reputable stores all the time and their refund process is immediate and hassle-free. I mean, look for sales and buy from reputable companies, that's my advice.
I have to say, I do a lot of online shopping and I have never, ever experienced anything like this. If I had the time and motivation, I would contact the Better Business Bureau and report their horrible service and apparent actions to not follow their own return policy (which is stated on their website) and their actions to steal money from unsuspecting customers.
I want to thank all of you who left comments warning others about FashionMia. It was because of your comments that I even started the refund process. And I want to warn others to be careful when ordering from non-recognized "stores". Always check for comments and reviews before making a purchase.
FashionMia Review: Frustrating Delay and Inconvenience in Order Processing and Delivery
I gotta say, I bought some dresses from FashionMia on February 14 and then again on February 16. But it's already March 4th and I still haven't received my dresses. I tried calling the number on their website but no one picked up, so I had to leave a message. I also sent an email asking about the status of my order and got a couple of responses.
On February 21, I got an email saying sorry for the delay and inconvenience they caused me. They said my order was being processed and they would ship it as soon as possible. They also said they would speed up my order if there were any other problems. Then on February 22, I got another email saying they were sorry for the inconvenience and that my order was delayed because of the large demand of orders they received recently. They said two items were ready for shipment and would be arranged in 24 hours, and that the shipment for the remaining item would be arranged when it was ready for delivery.
But then I got another email saying there was only one item ready for shipment and that the shipment for the remaining items would be arranged when they were ready for delivery. They said it would still take 4-6 days to be ready for delivery and offered me a $5 coupon as compensation for the inconvenience.
Honestly, this whole process has been so frustrating. I've never experienced anything like this with an online business before. It's really annoying that the items I purchased may not even be available at the time of purchase, and that I have to wait for more than 3 weeks before getting what I paid for. And the $5 coupon they offered me as compensation is just insulting. I'd rather just receive my dresses already. So if you're thinking of buying from FashionMia, be warned that you might have to wait a long time before getting your items. Good luck!

If you order more than one item, they will BO every single time, and it's unclear why they do this. When they do fill orders, it's just to generate a tracking number, and they know that customers won't want to pay to return items to China with tracking. If you contact them, they will try to cut a deal with you, offering you $20 to keep the item.
If you insist that they didn't send what you ordered, they will only provide a return address to China. If you make the mistake of sending without tracking, they will claim they never received your parcel. Shipping three dresses in a medium flat rate priority box will cost around $75, so it's important to double-check that the service you choose includes tracking.
The quality of the garments is shockingly poor. The fabric is not what was pictured, and there are often threads and brown smears on the clothing. It's like someone put their hand over their eyes and grabbed the first item they could find. The worst part is the fabrics, which are not meant to be worn. These rags are Wear and trash, not wash and wear.
Fashionmia's business model seems to be based on memorizing Paypal's rules, rather than making wearable fashion. They cherry-pick cute pictures from the internet and show them on their website. Unfortunately, the garments were not acceptable, so I contacted FashionMia for a refund. However, I was told that I could not receive a refund until I closed my complaint with PayPal. I closed my complaint and sent back the items, but it cost approximately $35 to return the items to China. I checked the tracking and saw that FashionMia received the garments on November 11.
Then came further excuses, including that they could not do a refund because they no longer used the PayPal payment channel (which was a lie), that they would not do a refund until the PayPal case was closed (which was already closed before I returned the items), and that they had not received the returned items (which was not true according to the tracking information). Their latest excuse is that the finance department wants to do all refunds together at the end of January.
I would not recommend ordering anything from this website because they are a joke. Their latest email today states that the refund will take another 25-30 days. I have included some of the email ping pong and excuses they use below.
As you have noted yourself, I have waited a long time. The order was done on June 18, 2018, which took over 4 months to get to me (your website indicated 3-5 weeks). Then I sent the unacceptable items back, which you received in November 2018. Then came all the excuses like haven't received the returned items (tracking showed otherwise), can't refund via the payment method (I paid through PayPal, which your website still supports), so you will give me a credit voucher (NO, I will never buy from you again), and now you ask me to wait until the end of January for the refund because the financial department wants to do them all together at the end of January?
None of this is acceptable, not even close. What sort of game are you playing with people's money? What is the next excuse you will come up with? I want compensation. I want the full amount I paid back, which is AUD $80.00, via PayPal IMMEDIATELY. I think that is fair. I will still be out of pocket by the postage amount I paid to return unacceptable items to you. Remedy this immediately, or I will seek a refund through my financial institution, and they will recover the AUD $80.00 entire payment.
In conclusion, I would advise anyone to avoid FashionMia. They send wrong sizes and avoid giving refunds.

FashionMia is a company that has been mistreating people for a long time. It's only a matter of time before they mistreat you too. They ignore people, including their customers, which is a form of emotional abuse. I placed an order in March and it's almost June, and I've only received 2 out of 13 items I ordered. I've emailed them several times, but they ignore the details of my messages and just reply with insincere statements like "We will send it later" or "Please be patient." How much more patient is a customer supposed to be? There are plenty of international businesses out there that deliver in a reasonable amount of time. FashionMia is beyond unreasonable, and they're basically insulting. They are very quick to take your money, but when it comes to delivering, they're nothing but empty promises and the avoidance game.
I've asked for a refund four times, but once again, FashionMia ignored my messages. It's completely understandable to get excited about low prices, discounts, and sales, but at what price? Is it truly worth having companies like FashionMia continually disrespect and mistreat interconnected souls? Of course not. I'd much rather love myself unconditionally, which includes respecting myself, shop elsewhere, pay extra, have great quality clothes or other products, and receive great customer service that many companies out there are willing to give.
When we habitually think and live with a poor person's mentality, then we will always be poor, always looking for the cheapest things, and/or barely making ends meet with a mega load of debt. And, we will only attract to us like energies, like people with poor character, poor quality products, and poor treatment. However, when we develop a habit of thinking and living with an abundant person's mentality, especially accepting, embracing, and even deeply loving more and more aspects of ourselves, then we will attract to us like energies/various forms of abundance, such as: more money (even financial freedom), authentic people with character, good quality products, and respectful and kind treatment.
I realized that I deserve much better than companies like FashionMia, and I will never purchase from them again. They gave me the same old, sad excuses, to include "Since it is an international shipping from Hongkong, It will need 10-20 working days more for shipping on delivery. Please wait patiently and hope you receive it early." I ordered and paid in March, and now it's almost June. There is no more patience. They also offered me a cash coupon for my next purchase, but why would I want to shop from their incompetent company again? I have a very strong feeling that FashionMia will go spiraling down like a raging whirlpool. And don't even think that changing your company name or any other clever methods will save you from the downfall that you brought upon yourselves. I'm done with you.

So, I recently purchased a dress from FashionMia for my daughter as a Christmas gift. However, I was extremely disappointed with the product. The fabric was not the same as the picture, and the dress was longer than what was shown in the picture. Moreover, the dress was sewn together incorrectly, and the front could not be worn as it was shown in the pictures. When my daughter tried it on, it was almost ball length on her, which was not what I expected.

I have had a terrible experience with FashionMia. It has been well over 30 days since I placed and paid for my order, and every representative I have spoken to has lied to me. They told me to close the dispute in PayPal and then my money would be returned immediately. However, today is now August 3, 2017, and I still have not received my refund.
On July 28, 2017, Valerie from the customer service team said, "Please kindly understand that the Financial department is off working during weekend, that's why your Wallet refund delayed. But please kindly rest assured, once your Wallet refund is done, then I will apply for the withdrawing for you timely. Thanks for your tolerance again and again."
Then, on July 30, 2017, Megan said, "I've confirmed with related colleague, your $65.82 wallet refund will be finished within 48 hours. And then we will withdraw the amount from your wallet and refund to the same card you paid us."
And on July 31, 2017, Mandy said, "I have contacted with our related colleagues in financial department and submitted the withdrawing request. The refund will be transferred to the same account you used to pay within next 15--20 working days. Please don't worry."
These are only a few of the many lies and deceitful, purposely misleading emails from this unethical company. These people are the most dishonest criminals I have seen in quite some time. Do not, I repeat, do not buy from these people. They have their product but still will not refund my money. Today is August 3, 2017, and still no end in sight!
FashionMia Review: Poor Quality, Expensive Returns, Not Recommended
I recently made a purchase from FashionMia and I have to say, I am not impressed. I didn't realize at the time of purchase that the items were coming from China, which should have been a red flag for me. I immediately sent an email to FashionMia stating that I wanted to make a return and cancel the remaining portion of my order. But of course, they don't provide shipping labels, so I had to pay $60 to ship my 10 X 13 USPS envelope back to China. And since their website says they are celebrating the holiday for about 14 days, I presume my order will get there in about 12 days and it should take a while to get my refund.
Overall, I am very disappointed with my experience with FashionMia. The items were poor quality and the return process was very expensive and time-consuming. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for quality clothing at a good price.

FashionMia is a Scam: Don't Waste Your Time or Money!
I ordered from FashionMia in May of 2018 through sitejabber. I received three of my items, but it's almost 2019 and I still haven't received the remaining five items that I paid for. They owe me about $89 and I haven't received any communication from them about a refund. Don't waste your time or energy on this website, it's a scam. All of the positive reviews are from people who work there, not actual customers. They think they're slick with their propaganda, but they're not fooling anyone. The 42% off deal is a scam because they promise to deliver your items in 7 business days, but it's been 2, 3, or even 4 months for some people. It's almost been a year for me and I still haven't received my items. They will give you silly excuses and try to go back and forth with you through emails, but there will never be a resolution. Save your money and go somewhere else. The clothes are not good quality and don't look like they do in the pictures. Spend your money where it's worthwhile and you actually get your items in a timely manner. Don't waste your time on this website, you can find better clothes for cheaper elsewhere.

After 45 days had passed, I followed up with FashionMia to see what the status was. They informed me that there would be another delay due to the "Spring Festival" and that my refund would be issued by March 20. However, on March 26th, I was informed that my refund would be issued by April 25th.
At this point, I was frustrated and just wanted to get something out of this experience. So, I accepted a credit a few dollars over my refund price PLUS free shipping. However, when I asked how to apply these to a new order, I was given a dozen different answers that did NOT answer my simple question.
Finally, on April 27th, I was told to pick my items, place my order, and stop before the payment processing to have them make the necessary adjustments. I did as instructed, but was shocked to find out that I still needed to pay for shipping. I was offered free shipping a month ago - why wasn't this corrected?
It's now May 31st, over a month since the order was "placed", and I've sent 8 emails to FashionMia with only 1 response. I've been begging them to take the shipping off so we can all be done with this nonsense, but nothing has been done.
Overall, my experience with FashionMia has been terrible. They've made many promises to me, but have failed to keep any of them. If you're considering buying from them, I would advise you to beware. You better hope you love whatever you buy because the consequences of trying to change your mind are ridiculously stupid.

I have ordered 3 dresses and I have received in different times two of them.
I'm still waiting for the third dress and unfortunately I have not been informed about the third dress yet, that Is still not delivered yet.
I need some explanation about this.
