I to have fallen for this scam. I had sighned up for "Secret Shopper", but after that day of realizing that it was a trick, I had canceled the acount. They said I would not be charged every month and that my account had been canceled. I just found out that there was $49.99 stolen from by checking acount from this piece of S***T company. Surplus Supplier is a scam and I want my money back!

i tried to call my bank to have them stop the fraudulant charges, because i just got hit with a $19.99 charge, but they said they can't. so im going to have to go to the ATM to retrieve all my money out of my current debit card account, and then block the card. i answered the "shopper select" ad [like a dumb ###] from my local penny saver magazine. i googled up "shoppers select scam" and found people having the same questions, and also this article:
http://www.reviewopedia.com/comments/showmore.php?id=9214
i feel horrible, seeing now how blind i was to this scam.

My daughter, 16 years old, has also been scammed by this company. They received her debit card information through another scam organization called "Shopper Select". This "Shopper Select" company distributed my daughter's info to "Easy Saver", "Money Edge", and "DRI Surplus". All of these companies are scams! They offer jobs, and discounts which do not exist. When called to cancel, they'll tell you they have cancelled your account, but if you do not receive a cancellation number, they will continue to debit your account, monthly. BEWARE!

CALL [protected]. They are supposedly refunding the 39.95
ALSO call your bank/cc company/paypal to let them know about this and also email paypal's fraud department @ spoof@paypal.com to get them removed as a paypal user. SEnd all your info and any info you find helpful on the net. WE Can make them pay for what they stole.

I've just had "DigitalRiver UK SARL" and "DigitalRiver US Inc" take 34.99 GBP and 49.95 USD respectively from my credit card linked to paypal repeatedly till they maxed out my card. All up they have taken around $1000 in less than a day without my authorisation. I don't even know who they are. Paypal claim has been put in and if that fails then I'll dispute it with my bank to reverse the charges. Hopefully the $%$#$ gets a $45 charge back for every transaction they have done against my c/c. Not happy and will be shutting down my paypal account and changing every password yet again.

DRI supplier has charged $39.95 per month to my account since January 2008. I was supposed to get mystery shop assignments that I never received. I called them & they were supposed to have canceled the account and credit my charge account. They are still charging my account although I have not received anything in return. I first called in April 2008 when I noticed that my account was being charged. DRI said they would close the account. The credit card company noted my complaint in April of 2008 but still honor DRI's charges since the credit card company says that I did not provide them with a cancellation number. I explained to them several times that I did not received anything in return. I want my money refunded. I am filing a complaint with the AG's office for Vermont.

DRI* Surplus Supplier Unauthorized charge to my account

I found a charge on my checking account for $39.95 from a company that I had never heard of. I looked into past months to see if there were additional charges. That is when I found a $1.95 charge the previous month. My guess is that was a test, to see if I would notice the charge, and then charge additional amounts. I had no luck in finding any information on the company. The phone number that was listed on the charge to my account had a recording asking I call another toll free number. When I called that number it disconnected me. Luckily my husband works for the bank that we use, and I will not have to pay these amounts, but I did have to go through the hassle of closing out my account and opening a new one!

I have absolutely no idea who DRI Surplus Supplier is, but I have now had two $39.95 deductions taken from my checking account. I can't find them anywhere and did not authorize them to do anything with my checking account.

If each one of u would have listened as I did... u are clearly told the charges and u are required to give a clear yes or no answer! I make a my living doing this. And I love it! U people are what gives mystery shopping a bad name. Just suck it up and admit u are just too lazy to get out and actually do the assignments and quit ur whining. I make about 300.00 day by doing this and it only takes about 4 to 5 hours a day. What do u make... No where near that I'm sure! I wish u people would shut the hell up!

thanks everyone for alerting me to this. I had agreed to a trial period for $1.95. This charge did show up on my credit card and I was OK with that, then a few days later another $1.95 charge, I know that I did not agree to this. So after reading all of this, what I did was I cancelled my credit card, and I'm getting a different credit card. Makes no sense to fight with them. Also told my credit card company not to pay the 2 pending charges of $1.95 each. Thank you, thank you and thank you. I don't care if I cancelled my account with them or not, they can't put anymore charges on my cancelled credit card.

They charged us $49.95 on 9/26 and $49.95 on 10/17. I called them to cancel it. They assured me that they would cancel it and send me an email. I call the CC company and DRI charged me another $49.95 today. I canceled my card. I will dispute the charges through the CC company.

Ripe Off!

I got scammed last night. I was charged twice. I only agreed to pay $2.95 once. Thank god I gave them my prepaid debit card, which I'm about to cancel right at this moment. I will call and ask for a refund and a cancellation.

All of you are not very intelligent. You all called, looking for a job as a mystery shopper, and were told about the charges. They also mention an additional way to generate income, which costs more. (surplus supplier) You agreed to pay for the services and are ### when you got charged. They can not, absolutly can not charge you, with out your authorization. It is not a scam. If you would of followed the directions with the services, you would be making enough money to cover the service fees, which I do. I make a living doing both, and do not complain when they charge me, because they are helping me make money!

I just got a utility bill returned because of this. These people have been taking 49.95 out of my account for the last 6 months. I canceled the same day I called them. They are so wrong in doing this. I called them and they told me that there billing department will call me back. They never did. This has to be illegal. How do we get our money back? Someone please let me know! I'm considering hiring a lawyer and spend 1, 000.00 to get back 400.00 from these people. Why won't anyone do anything?!

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS! They won't let you get a word in edgewise to decline any services. I cancelled my account and they still charged me 50.00. I'm 21-years-old working two jobs just to make ends meat and $50.00 is a lot of ###ing money for me. I talked to one person who told me his supervisor would call me in an hour, after his meeting was over. The next guy told me he'd call me tomorrow. I don't expect to be hearing back from these people, and from the looks of this review, I don't expect to see my money either, from them at least. I'm going to keep bothering them, and calling my bank. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The customer service representative was rude, the three that I've spoken to. Supervisor apparently has many better things to do than help the people that put food on their table. Hopefully that food and roof over their head is amazing, since some of us will be having to pick up extra shifts, or a third job to do the same for themselves...

I signed up as a mystery shopper at the instance of a friend. About a thousand dollars later I finally had to close accounts to get them out of my pocket. The rude dude should have a ton of gratitude for all the bucks he's scammed. Never talked to anyone so rude in my life. I never went on one mystery shopping trip but I sure paid for a lot of them. RUN AWAY from this one as fast as you can. Close your bank account because they won't stop until they can't withdraw more funds. I've talked with the rude dude three times.
