Craigslist Craigslist's Unfair Flagging System: A Frustrated User's Review

I gotta say, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but Craigslist has really been getting on my nerves lately. I feel like they're not treating their users with the respect they deserve.

The thing that really gets me is how they let anyone flag anyone else's post. Like, seriously? How do they know if the person doing the flagging is just a hater or a competitor or something? It's like they're letting people act like little kids and bully each other, and they're not doing anything about it.

I mean, I get it if someone posts something really offensive or whatever, but there are plenty of times when people just flag your post for no reason at all. It's not fair.

What Craigslist should do is have their own people or some kind of system to review the posts and make sure they're legit. They could give people a chance to fix their post if it's not up to snuff, and only flag it if it's really bad.

I've seen other sites do this kind of thing, like with job applications or whatever. They let you fix your answers until they're right. Why can't Craigslist do something like that?

I know they have rules and stuff, but I still think they're not being fair. It's just not a good way to run a site, you know?

Honestly, I'm just about done with Craigslist. There's gotta be a better way to buy and sell stuff online. I'm just tired of dealing with all these jerks who think they can flag my posts for no reason. It's just not right.

Craigslist Craigslist: A Sketchy Site with a Sketchy Crowd - Use at Your Own Risk

Craigslist is a site that I have used in the past, but I have had some negative experiences with it. It seems like all you get are scammers, bums, thieves, and flakes. Many of the people on the site are a waste of time. For example, I tried to adopt a cat from some Asian girl out in the Seattle area, and she decided to waste my time by saying she changed her mind. Instead of sending a text, she wanted to tell me in person. Now that I think about it, she was likely on something and couldn't text. She seemed like she wasn't all there anyway. I charged her $20 for wasting my time.

Another time, I got a couple who were renting a room in Omaha, Nebraska, when I needed to rent a place while there on business. They kept changing the rent and bumming for money, and the woman was a nutcase. Her boyfriend just did whatever she wanted him to do. I left within a month after the woman stole stuff out of my room. I reported them to the police for theft.

If you try to sell stuff on Craigslist, you get people wanting cheap and near-free stuff. They offer lowball prices, or worst yet, they don't show up. You also get weird, often stupid questions like they're coming from a little kid. If you try to buy a service, you'll get people who change the price last minute from the agreed-upon price for the service.

Most people on Craigslist don't have real jobs, have mental issues, or addiction issues, or are simply bums and thieves who lie to get their way. I hate Craigslist. The people that use the site take my ads down via flagging, even though they don't violate anything. The site is useless. I recommend using Offerup for buying and selling. It's a much better place, or do it the old-fashioned way, put flyers out in your local area. If you want a place to rent, go to actual sites that specialize in rentals. AirBNB is a good site for short-term rentals and vacation rentals.

Craigslist is sketchy with a sketchy crowd. You use Craigslist at your own risk. The site should be shut down. Very few legit people use the site, though there are some legit people who use Craigslist, just not that many like on the other sites like AirBNB and Offerup. The legit people who do use the site treat you with suspicion because it's Craigslist, which I understand, but it makes it impossible to want to do any kind of business. I recommend using the local community hangouts and gathering places to post announcements or other community-related stuff instead. If you want to adopt a pet, go to a rescue or shelter, or use sites like PetFinder and RescueMe, or simply ask around in the community if someone is looking for a new home for their pet.

Craigslist Beware of Craigslist Voiceover Scammers: My Experience with Gareth Cole

So, I'm a voiceover actor and I'm always on the lookout for new gigs. That's when I stumbled upon Craigslist. I saw a post that said "Voice over needed" and I thought, "Hey, this could be a good opportunity!" So, I replied to the post and to my surprise, I got a quick response.

The person who responded to me said that they had a new corporate client who needed a voiceover for their website. They said that it was a two-day project and that it wouldn't take more than 45 minutes to record for each day. They also said that they had specialists and contract studio engineers who would make sure that everything was perfect. And get this, they were willing to pay me over a grand for the job!

Now, I don't know about you, but that seemed a bit too good to be true. They didn't even ask for a demo or anything. So, I decided to ask for more information. That's when they told me that they needed part payment before they could proceed with the job. They said that they would send me $450 as part payment and then I would get the balance of $600 on the final day of recording.

That's when I started to get suspicious. So, I did some investigating and found out that the person who had contacted me was actually a scammer. His name was Gareth Cole and he had a history of scamming people in the voiceover industry. He would post on Craigslist about an opportunity for his "new corporate client" and offer to pay ridiculous amounts of money for the job. But, in reality, he was just trying to get people to pay him a deposit.

I reached out to Gareth and told him that I wasn't interested. I also told him that I knew about his scam and that I was going to write a review about it. He never responded to me after that.

I know this review is long, but I want people to know that these scammers exist. It's hard enough to break into the voiceover industry as it is. The last thing we need is to be scammed out of our hard-earned money.

So, if you see a post on Craigslist that seems too good to be true, it probably is. Don't fall for it.

Craigslist Lessons Learned: My Experience with Craigslist Scammers and PayPal Fraud

I've been using Craigslist for a couple of years now and I gotta say, it's been a pretty good experience overall. I've sold a bunch of stuff, like 50 items or so, and bought a few things too. I don't really use email though, it's just too overwhelming with all the spam and junk mail. I prefer people to text me instead. Most of the stuff I sold was pretty big, like furniture and appliances, and I had a few guys come to my house to pick it up. But I never had any problems with no-shows or anything like that.

One time though, I was selling this really expensive ring and the buyer was in California. He seemed really concerned about whether the ring was real or not, which I thought was fair enough. But then he started getting really pushy and wanted me to send it to him via FedEx. I was working the night shift and had some dental work going on, so I couldn't really deal with all his texts every few hours asking if I'd sent it yet. Then my husband, who has cancer, checked our PayPal account and saw that there was $3,000 in there waiting for me to confirm the tracking number. But when I called PayPal, they said there was no money on hold in our account. I got a really bad feeling about the whole thing.

So I made a police report and hoped that the cops in California could help me out. They went to the guy's condo and took a picture of the ring, but then the guy convinced them that I was the one trying to scam him. I mean, seriously? The cops told him to mail the ring back to me, but when I went to the station to pick it up, they started interrogating me about some chat sites and some guy named Joel who apparently wanted the ring too. I had no idea what they were talking about. The guy who had my ring had told the cops some crazy story about me being in on some scam with this Joel guy. It was all a bunch of BS.

Anyway, I finally got the ring back and took it to a jeweler who confirmed that it was real diamonds and platinum. But now I can't even get a copy of the police report because the cops won't call me back. It's like they think I'm the bad guy or something. So yeah, be careful when you're selling stuff online. And always double-check those PayPal emails, because they can look pretty convincing even when they're fake.

Craigslist Terrible Experience with Groomin Tails: Unprofessionalism, Lies, and Insults to Pet Owners in Montgomery, Alabama

I recently had a terrible experience with Groomin Tails in Montgomery, Alabama. I took my beloved dog there for grooming, but when I picked him up, he was not even halfway groomed. The girl who attended to him lied to me, claiming that she was the one who had been grooming him, when in fact, Julie Mcray had been doing it. Julie is a patient groomer who takes all day to groom my dog because he can sometimes be difficult. However, this girl called me back within an hour and a half of me dropping him off. She still charged me $40 and told me he needed to be given drugs to calm him down because he was too matted to finish.

I have taken my dog to Groomin Tails before, and I have seen him in worse conditions. I tried getting an appointment a month earlier, but they said they were all booked up and didn't offer to put me on a list in case someone else didn't show up. My dog is 11 years old, and a groomer told me he needs drugs! I still have to pay someone to finish him, and a groomer friend told me I should not have paid her. Furthermore, she should not have charged me because in the grooming business, you don't get paid if the dog isn't finished. My heart is broken for my dog, and when I went back for conflict resolution, they just made excuses about how he didn't know them.

I think honesty would have been the best policy to begin with by telling me the lady who usually grooms my dog isn't there anymore. I will be taking him somewhere else from now on because I wouldn't want anyone being mean to my dog on account of a situation they had with me.

When I reached out to the groomer for an explanation, I received a response that broke my heart even more. They claimed that they only see dogs that are matted from the humane shelter, dogs that have been neglected or abandoned. They suggested that I take my dog to a veterinarian to be sedated and safely finish the groom. My dog had mats as hard as rocks on his face that covered his eyes. When they tried to shave them off, he started jerking and snapping at them. That's why they suggested sedation, and my response was "Well, I can't afford that." They worked on my dog for over an hour, plowing through some of the worst mats they've ever seen, so they felt well within their rights to charge for their time.

Luckily, I was able to locate the lady who has been regularly grooming my dog through Facebook, and she is picking him up from my house on Tuesday. However, I am still disappointed in the lack of professionalism and customer service from Groomin Tails. When did businesses begin to do so well that they can treat customers and people any way they want to? Edna thought it was okay to lie to me, charge me for the service when she didn't complete the service, and then insult me as a pet owner.

I had several friends taking their dogs to this groomer on my recommendation, but they won't be going there anymore. What happened to ethics? To being polite? What happened to "I'm sorry you aren't happy," and "what can I do to make this right?" I can't see this shop making so much money that they can afford to treat people this way.

Craigslist Craigslist Review: A Total Waste of Time or Worth the Risk?

Yo, I gotta add to this review about Craigslist. Did you know that their physical address is on Sutter Street in San Francisco? I mean, I thought they were based in New York or something. But they got offices in an office building with other companies. Crazy, right?

Anyway, Craigslist has changed a lot over the years. Back in the day, you had to have a verified email and phone to post anything. They would call and check before you could even post. But now, anyone can just enter an email and post whatever they want. No wonder there's so many foolish and flaky ads on there.

I used to sell a lot of collectibles on Craigslist and it was helpful. But lately, I've been trying to buy stuff and it's been a struggle. I've tried several times and still can't seem to make a purchase.

But what really freaks me out are the singles ads. You gotta be careful with those. If someone looks too good to be true, it's probably not their real photo. You can use Google Chrome to do an image search on the picture and see if it's a scam. And watch out for ads posted in the late night or early morning. They could be from offshore posters posing as locals.

And don't even get me started on buying stuff on Craigslist. If it doesn't feel right, don't do it. People have been robbed and injured by meeting strangers to buy stuff. And the sellers are so flaky, it's ridiculous. I tried to buy some old tapes from a guy who lived nearby and he kept canceling on me. And then he ran the ad for a month with no takers. Like, why bother?

I also tried to buy a Monster Power item from someone and they didn't reply until four days later when I was out of town. And then they wanted to meet in an hour. Like, what?

Honestly, Craigslist is a total waste of time. I don't know how they're still in business with all the shams on there. But if you wanna try your luck, go for it. Just don't expect much.

Craigslist Craigslist Review: Pros and Cons of the Popular Online Marketplace

Craigslist is a website that has been around for a long time. It is a place where people can buy and sell things, find jobs, and even find a place to live. The website is very simple and easy to use. You can search for things by location, category, and keyword. There are also a lot of different categories to choose from, so you can find just about anything you are looking for.

One of the great things about Craigslist is that it is free to use. You don't have to pay anything to post an ad or to search for something. This makes it a great place for people who are on a budget or who just don't want to spend a lot of money.

However, there are some downsides to using Craigslist. One of the biggest issues is that there are a lot of scams on the website. People will post fake ads and try to get you to send them money or personal information. It is important to be careful when using Craigslist and to never give out your personal information to anyone.

Another issue with Craigslist is that there are a lot of spam ads. These are ads that are posted over and over again and are not relevant to what you are looking for. It can be frustrating to have to sift through all of these ads to find what you are looking for.

Overall, Craigslist is a great website for buying and selling things, finding jobs, and finding a place to live. However, you need to be careful when using the website and make sure that you are not falling for any scams.

Craigslist Beware of Craigslist Scams: My Experience with a Shady Buyer

Craigslist is a website that I have mixed feelings about. On one hand, it can be a great way to sell things that you no longer need or want. On the other hand, it can be a breeding ground for scams and shady characters. Unfortunately, I had a recent experience that left me scratching my head and feeling frustrated.

I posted an ad on my local Craigslist page to sell some furniture. I thought it would be a great way to get rid of some things before I moved out of town. I made the mistake of including my phone number in the ad, hoping to speed up the process. I quickly received a text from someone claiming to be interested in my furniture.

The person, who called himself Mark, asked if the furniture was still available and requested more pictures. I obliged and sent him some pictures. He then asked if I had a PayPal account, which I did not. I told him I would prefer to receive cash when he picked up the furniture. He then became pushy and insisted that I sign up for a PayPal account. I became suspicious and started to ask more questions.

Mark then told me that he had made a payment through PayPal and that I needed to transfer $650 to a "pick up agent's address" in order for the furniture to be picked up. He even added an extra $100 for Western Union charges. I knew this was a scam and refused to send any money. I told him that I would contact the authorities if he continued to contact me.

Looking back, I realize that I made a mistake by including my phone number in the ad. I should have waited for emails through the Craigslist system. I also should have been more cautious when dealing with someone who was so insistent on using PayPal. However, I am still frustrated that Craigslist allows these types of scams to happen on their website.

In conclusion, if you are going to use Craigslist to sell things, be cautious and protect yourself. Don't include your phone number in your ads and always wait for emails through the Craigslist system. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Don't fall for scams like the one I experienced with "Mark".

Craigslist Thrilling and Heartwarming: A Review of The Hunger Games Trilogy

Took my money without any explanation for refusing my paid post.

I had several paid and unpaid posts on the site a few years ago without any problems. Two days ago, I posted a similar paid post, but it was not published after five hours. I wrote to the support, but only received an automatic email response with help FAQs. Going through the FAQs, I do not see any problems with my post. However, I still tried to edit my post here and there to see if there is anything I missed, but I could not log in to my account, it said that my account is on hold. I emailed the support again, still an automatic email response with help FAQs. Days went by, I still have not received any human response. The site agreement says that the fund I paid is not refundable even the post is denied. Here is my post (removed the location information):

"SAT Math by a Former Professor with AI, $20 Trial"

Having taught graduate and undergraduate courses at universities in four different states, I found that the students' struggles in different courses are rooted in a few fundamental areas of thinking and preparing the SAT Math is a great way to train the mind to think.

One of my students got 660 in June, was tutored by two companies before getting 660 again in October, but scored 780 in December with only ten 50-minute sessions working with me. The dramatic improvement is only the byproduct of my student's efforts because I accentuate upon students' forming passionate habits of curiosity and gaining skills that are easily transportable beyond math. The same skills and strategies that I impart in my tutoring enable me to achieve the followings:

1. Turned $820 into $442,618 in 15 months by day-trading stocks. In comparison, if one would invest the same amount of the money in the S&P 500 with dividends reinvested and inflation adjusted for 70 years ending December 2022, one would have $90,243. Not bad for people with the patience and the money to put aside for a long term. However, my tradings in 15 months generated a total return of 53,878%, almost five times of that if invested in the S&P 500 for 70 years.

2. Developed and sold a trading bot to one of the largest funds in the world.

3. Developed several award-winning softwares, one of which was illustrated in a college computer textbook in 1998 when I was a student.

4. Won the second-place in a 5000-player poker tournament within one month of learning Texas Hold'em.

5. Was awarded a U.S. patent for math-learning invention.

6. Published research findings in top-tier academic journals.

I use AI, along with my own experience to target areas of need with great precision, and spend far less time on the topics students already do well. As the child is successfully making the progress, I will continuously adjust the areas of targets along the way. Therefore the total tutoring hours are greatly reduced as a result.

$20 for a 30-minute no-obligation trial. $250 for a 50-minute session, two sessions minimum, pay as you go.

Disclaimer: My achievements are not typical, nor is the experience of my student mentioned above. I do not imply or guarantee that similar results will be obtained by your child. Students differ in their background, motivation, dedication, and the amount of time they work on the subject. For example, day-trading is extremely risky. Studies after studies consistently show that up to 97% of day-traders lose money. Many never achieve profitability through day-trading. "[m]ost individual investors do not have the wealth, the time, or the temperament to make money and to sustain the devastating losses that day-trading can bring" (according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission).

FINRA, the government-authorized not-for-profit organization that oversees U.S. broker-dealers, requires members who promote day-trading strategies to provide non-institutional customers with a clear and conspicuous warning that states as follows in relevant part:

"Day trading can be extremely risky...You should be prepared to lose all of the funds that you use for day trading. In particular, you should not fund day-trading activities with retirement savings, student loans, second mortgages, emergency funds, funds set aside for purposes such as education or home ownership, or funds required to meet your living expenses. Further, certain evidence indicates that an investment of less than $50,000 will significantly impair the ability of a day trader to make a profit. Of course, an investment of $50,000 or more will in no way guarantee success."

I am not a registered financial advisor. The financial strategies I use as examples to show how they are related to the SAT Math strategies, the answers I give to families' questions regarding financial markets, and any financial information and examples provided are for informational and educational purposes only. The information should not be construed as investment or trading advice, and is not meant to be a solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any positions in any stocks, bonds, ETFs, or derivatives mentioned.

Craigslist Beware of the Trolls: A Dark Side of Craigslist

Craigslist is a website that has been around for quite some time now. It is a platform where people can buy and sell items, find jobs, and even look for housing. However, there is a dark side to Craigslist that many people are not aware of. This dark side is the trolls that lurk on the website.

One such troll is known as Kenzz, or as he likes to call himself, The_String. Kenzz has been on Craigslist for over six years now, and he has made it his mission to make life difficult for anyone who tries to help others on the website. He has multiple accounts, and he uses them to flag anyone who tries to be helpful or honest.

If you take a look at the Monterrey Rants n Raves section of Craigslist, you will see that Kenzz is everywhere. He posts every day, and almost everyone else is gone. He is like a Norman Bates kind of creepy, and he seems to enjoy making life difficult for others.

Another troll on Craigslist is known as Sheila. Sheila is from down under, and she has been responding to Kenzz's attacks for years now. She is very bright and educated, and she has been able to hold her own against Kenzz's attacks.

Despite the trolls that lurk on Craigslist, there are still many people who use the website for its intended purpose. They buy and sell items, find jobs, and even look for housing. However, it is important to be aware of the trolls and to take steps to protect yourself from them.

In conclusion, Craigslist is a useful website that can help you find what you are looking for. However, it is important to be aware of the trolls that lurk on the website. They can make life difficult for anyone who tries to be helpful or honest. So, be careful when using Craigslist, and always be on the lookout for trolls.

I have enjoyed Craigs list for many years, however, Yesterday I wanted to renew ads posted in Phoenix, Western Slope, Color. Los Angeles, and Utah.

When I went to renew, your system would not let me renew, next all the postings were gone, next when in Phoenix posting an ad it is being posted in the Western Slope of Colorado.

This is not only SCREWING UP YOUR CUSTOMERS AND MAKING THEM ANGRY FOR WRONG LISTINGS BEYOND MY CONTROL BUT ALSO MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO POST A LISTING BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH PHOENIX IS CHOSEN OR SLC UTAH, THEY ALL GO TO THE WESTERN SLOPE OF COLORADO AND THESE PEOPLE CALLING ARE GETTING PISSED OFF.

THIS IS A TECH PROBLEM WITHIN YOUR COMPANY, PLEASE RESET MY ACCOUNT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO I CAN BEGIN OVER AGAIN REPLACING THE POSTINGS THAT ARE IN THE WRONG LOCATION AND THOSE LOST.

Thank You,

Ed Mans

I purchased a portable oxygen concentrator that was listed as "like new" condition. When I tried to use the concentrator, an alarm went off for seemingly no reason so I took the concentrator out of the carrying case to change the battery in case that was the problem. There were obvious signs of wear and tear on the machine and I was a little disappointed...

Craigslist Free books

This person listed science fiction book and I responded twice. They gave location but not and address saying they would put book out on curb. Twice I drove approximately 24 miles from my home and back to get them. No book to be found and no answer when messaging from my phone to the listing. The listing number is 3gbbd697ae3dbc80c57a5fe214c618 @ craugslist.com. I send a message tell them I was going to report the listing. When I got home the listing was removed from craigslist. Craigslist Paid ad hacked / no refund / no one answers

I posted an ad and it got hacked the same day, been trying to get help but no one will answer back about the charge and they won't refund it.

You need to have a link button to report fraud on every post because it was my post and I couldn't do anything to stop it and CL wouldn't answer the message and there's no working phone number.

I'm seriously disappointed in what's happened to CL over the years.

my next option is to file a complaint with the BBB if I don't get an answer today!

Craigslist Craigslist discrimination practices are bogus

Over the past +/-30 years, I've used Craigslist with no issues. Recently, though, I've attempted to list a rentable space in my apartment. I thought the content was clear of who I preferred living with me; however, I would soon learn that I'd have to rewrite (and remove) some language that seemed to be interpreted as discrimination. In any event, the post was continuously being flagged and then removed. Even creating new and complete non-discriminatory content was immediately being flagged and removed. Craigslist makes it virtually impossible to "Contact Us" where I could explain and ask them to approve the post. No; rather, Craigslist seems to have placed my account on a banishment list. If Craigslist's algorithms were doing their job correctly then my post would be displayed, and that those, which clearly have discriminatory language, would not. Craigslist seems to enforce their own policies in an ambiguous way. All the while it's impossible to contact a humanoid to discuss issues. So, after 30+/- years of use, am I realizing that Craigslist isn't a good business to work with?

Desired outcome: Allow my listing to be posted...and stay posted.

Craigslist Unreliable Management and Maintenance: A Review of My Apartment Complex

I've been living in this place for five years now, and I have to say, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. In the five years that I've been here, there have been five different managers. It seems like the company is really hard on managers, and the main manager seems to drive them away. I've heard from other tenants that they try to avoid contact with this manager as much as possible.

One thing that I don't like about this place is that the lease is only for a year, and then it becomes month to month. This means that the company can raise the rent whenever they want. It's really frustrating, especially since the rent is already pretty high.

Another issue is the ground keeping. There's always dog poop on the streets, and the maintenance crew doesn't seem to do a very good job of cleaning it up. There are a lot of other outside maintenance problems as well. Inside, it's about the same. If something needs to be fixed, it could take a week or more to get it done.

One of the ongoing problems is with the hot water. It seems like they use water tanks instead of a boiler, which causes a lot of problems. There have also been bug problems, like bed bugs. I had to deal with them a few years ago, and it cost me a lot of money. I've heard from other tenants that they've had similar issues.

The laundry room is another problem. It has limited hours, and it's only on one floor of a three-floor building. This can make it really difficult to get your laundry done, especially if you have a lot of clothes to wash.

There have also been problems with homeless people in the area. It's not a huge issue, but it can be a bit unsettling at times.

As for noise, they recently replaced the carpet in the hallways with flooring. I have to say, the carpet was better at keeping the noise down.

Parking is free, but you need a permit. If you don't have one, they'll tow your car after a few days. They really only seem to care about money.

If you have pets, you can have them here, but you'll need to pay a deposit and monthly rent for each pet.

Overall, I would say that this place has its ups and downs. It was good at one time, but with all the changes in management and corporate, it's just not the same anymore. I would recommend looking for a better place if you can.

Craigslist Craigslist Review: A Letdown for Personals, Cars, and Jobs

Craigslist is a website that many of us turn to when we need to find something, but sometimes it can be a bit of a letdown. I've been using Craigslist for a while now, and I have to admit that it's addictive. You think you've had enough, but before you know it, you're back on it again.

Let's talk about the personals section. I spend a lot of time browsing the casual encounters, but it's a mess in there. There are so many bots trying to scam people out of their phone numbers and pictures. It's hard to find anyone real, and when I do, it's rare. I've also noticed that a lot of gay people post in the w4m and mw4m sections, which is fine, but it's not what I'm looking for. They also tend to email me personally, which defeats the purpose of the website. I don't hate them, but it's just not what I'm looking for. I think Craigslist is not in popular demand for young people looking to hook up. I haven't found a website that does that yet. In my opinion, all online interaction with people is a waste of time. You're better off meeting and planning in person.

Now, let's talk about the car section. It's horrible. There are all sorts of people selling stolen cars or cars with no registration or proof of ownership. It's not a very trustworthy site for dealing with people. Background checks should be run if people want to sell their cars to other people. I've had close chances to buy cars, and then all of a sudden, the seller doesn't want to sell anymore.

In short, Craigslist sounds great, but in practice, it's not so great. The personals, things for sale, and jobs sections are all riddled with people who want more for less and people who take a chance at screwing over others for the benefit of themselves. There is no technical or customer support, so that's the biggest downer for this site. You either find a way to work it out with someone online, or you lose out.

Craigslist Craigslist Review: Discriminatory Practices and Frustration for Users

So, I've been using Craigslist for a while now, and I gotta say, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Recently, I've been having some trouble with replying to ads. Apparently, this has been an ongoing issue for a while now, but it's only just started affecting me.

The forums have been locked down, which is a real pain in the butt. I mean, my email address should be good enough, right? But no, apparently not. So now I can't even see what other people are saying about this issue.

If you're thinking of posting something, do yourself a favor and put your contact info in the body of the post. Trust me, it'll save you a lot of headaches.

The worst part is, Craigslist seems to be blaming the innocent users for this problem. I've seen comments in the forums accusing people of being abusers and saying that's why they're getting the "something went wrong" message. But I'm not an abuser or a scanner or anything like that. I hardly ever use Craigslist, to be honest.

I did some digging around, and apparently, users are being punished arbitrarily if they look like they're not local. And you know what? I can confirm that. I tried using a different internet address, and when I tried to reply to ads near my locale, I got the same error message. But when I tried replying to ads in foreign local neighborhoods, it worked just fine. What's up with that?

Honestly, I'm starting to think that Craigslist doesn't care about its users. They treat us like the enemy, like we're something to be fought and denied service to. It's ridiculous. I can't in good conscience recommend this website to anyone.

If you've been wronged by Craigslist, I encourage you to seek justice. And if you're a lawyer, maybe consider pursuing legal action against them for their discriminatory practices.

In the meantime, if you know of an alternative website, I suggest you use that instead. Trust me, it'll save you a lot of frustration.

Craigslist Buyer Beware: A Cautionary Tale of Doing Business on Craigslist

Craigslist is a website that has been around for a long time. It is a place where you can buy and sell things, find jobs, and even find a place to live. However, there are some people who have had bad experiences with Craigslist. One person wrote a review about a company that operates under two different names, DOJ Auto Sales in Marietta, GA and Universal Luxury Cars. This person had a lot of problems with this company. They paid for a car in full, but they did not receive the tags and title for the car. The owner of the company was not answering their calls and had even gone to Africa for three weeks without resolving the issue. The company had sent the wrong information to register the car, and the person later found out that the information was for a different car. The company had also put a lien on the car, even though it was paid for in full. The person had to seek the help of an attorney to get their money back. This is a cautionary tale for anyone who is thinking about doing business with Craigslist.

Craigslist My Frustrating Experience Selling on Craigslist: Removals and Unhelpful Feedback

I recently decided to declutter my home and get rid of some of my old stuff. Being stuck at home, I thought Craigslist would be the perfect platform to sell my items. However, I did encounter a few issues that I would like to share.

Firstly, I found that Craigslist removes listings without any warning or explanation. They only provide a link to their policies and what is not allowed. However, even after reading the information multiple times, it was difficult to figure out why my listing was removed. I am not sure if it is people or bots that do the removal, but it would be helpful if they could provide a reason for the removal or a suggestion on how to make the listing compliant.

Secondly, I tried to seek help from their help forum, specifically the thread for sellers who are trying to figure out why their listings were removed. However, I found that the responders were not very helpful. Instead of just answering my question, they went on to criticize my listings and told me that they were basically junk and would not sell. Although I did eventually figure out the answer, it was not a pleasant experience. It would be great if Craigslist had actual moderators who could review the responses and ensure that proper help is provided.

Overall, I found it frustrating to spend time creating a listing, only to have it removed without explanation and then receive unhelpful feedback. It was also disappointing that there was no way to just correct the listing and I had to start from scratch. However, the big plus of Craigslist is that it is a free platform to sell items. I guess you get what you pay for.

Craigslist Be Careful on Craigslist: Tips to Avoid Scammers and Fakes in the Personals Section

Craigslist is a website that has been around for a while now, and it's a great place to find all sorts of things. However, there are some things you need to be aware of before you start using it. For example, if you're looking at the personals section, you need to be careful. There are a lot of scammers and fakes out there, and they use very revealing pictures to try and lure you in.

If you get an email from someone who seems too good to be true, be careful. They might refer you to a "secure verification" site that is supposedly free. However, if you enter your credit card information, you might end up signing up for a dating site or an XXX site that will bill you anywhere from $29.95 to $59.95. If you're married, this could be a big problem, as your spouse might see the charge on your credit card statement.

Another thing to be aware of is that if you try to use a Walmart money card with only a few dollars on it, it might not go through due to an unknown error. This is the site's way of saying "insufficient funds." Also, if you send a message to a woman and get a response that says "if you're real, go here," be careful. This is probably a dating site, and they're trying to get you to sign up.

To avoid all of these problems, I use two fake accounts and no personal information. I just make up stuff about someone who doesn't exist. This way, I get a ton of spam and bull, but I don't have to worry about my identity or my money. In the end, it's just cheaper to get a six-pack, a "F" flick or two, and get your nut off than to spend hours surfing Craigslist trying to find someone.

Craigslist Craigslist: A Total Waste of Time for Legit Businesses - Boycott Now

I gotta tell ya, I used to love Craigslist. I made a lot of money from posting ads on there for my businesses. But now? Forget about it. It's a total waste of time.

I haven't gotten a single legit call or email from my ads in over a year and a half. All I get are messages from crazy people who clearly have nothing better to do than harass strangers on the internet.

I talked to a guy who used to teach people how to use Craigslist to grow their businesses. He said that Craigslist made some changes a few years ago to try and get rid of people who were using the site to post ads. And it worked. He stopped getting calls and traffic from his ads, and so did I.

It's not just Craigslist, either. eBay owns part of the site, and they don't care about sellers either. They're just in it for the money.

And don't even get me started on Facebook and Google Ads. Facebook is losing users left and right, and nobody wants to see ads on there. And Google? They just want your money. They don't care if your ads actually work or not.

Honestly, someone could make a better site than Craigslist in their sleep. It's a total joke.

If you're a legit business, don't waste your time on Craigslist. And if you're a user, just stop. Let the site die and maybe something better will come along.

Seriously, boycott Craigslist. It's a total waste of time.

Craigslist Beware of Craigslist Scams: A Review of the Online Classifieds World

Craigslist, or CL as it's commonly known, has been a staple in the online classifieds world for years. However, in my city, it's become a hotbed of corruption and scams. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every single ad on the site is from scammers in the 3rd world, specifically India and Pakistan. It's frustrating to see so many people fall victim to their tactics.

When you visit the main page, you'll see around 50 posts, but it's obvious that they're all from the same person or group. These scammers have infiltrated other sites like Kijiji as well, and they're getting more sophisticated with their tactics. Instead of ridiculous scams like the ones from the past, they're now focused on identity theft and other spoofing tactics.

They use scripts and programs to lock up your computer, steal your credit card and banking information, and even try to get your kids to reveal personal information. They'll call you and pretend to be interested in buying or selling something, slowly building a profile on you over time. It's scary to think about how much information they can gather and how long they've been doing this.

These scammers have been around for years, and they've adapted their tactics to fit the changing landscape of online classifieds. They even have fake job applications and gig offers, all designed to get you to reveal personal information like your driver's license or other forms of ID.

The problem isn't just with Craigslist and Kijiji, though. These companies are trying to be global and have a presence in every city, which means they're not doing enough to prevent these scams from happening. They're always trying to up their safety efforts, but it never seems to be enough.

If you're a buyer or seller on Craigslist or Kijiji, my advice is to use a disposable cell phone and never give out your real name. Trade locally and avoid text messages, using calls only until you know the person. It's not a perfect solution, but it's better than falling victim to these scammers.
