CashCall interest charged unlawful in oregon

The oregon department of justice entered into a 2015 settlement with cash call and western sky which requires repayment of interest paid to cash call or western sky by oregonians. Although cash call did not admit wrongdoing, cash call and western sky agreed to repay interest and fees paid by oregonians on their contracts. Attorney fees and costs are also available to individuals who were taken advantage of by cash call, so there may be no cost to you. I am a veteran of the united states army and our firm was informed of this recent settlement as we were assisting veterans with legal matters. If you are interested in having cash call return the interest and fees which you paid, you may contact our law firm for a free consultation to see whether you are entitled to refund of the money you paid cash call: 503-660-vets (8387); [protected]@nwveteranslaw.com; nwveteranslaw.com - best, mark

CashCall un aurthoried to take money from bank account

Cash call does not make courtesy calls... If payment is due, and you don't pay, they deduct from your bank account automatically. They said they don't call you owe, you pay. That is illegal. Cash calls do not engage in fair lending practices. Avoid dealing with them. I will follow up with a complaint to the federal trade commision the next time. Cash call is in major violation of federal law. No business should be allow to just "magically take money from your account - as a matter of fact once I look into this, will turn this in to class action law suit

CashCall illegal loans

I needed to get a same day loan because we had agreed to match what my son had saved to help him get his first car. He found a car very quickly that was a good deal unfortunately I didn't have enough cash saved to put with his that is where western sky came in. Against my better judgement and all the warning bells going off in my head I went through with it. Cash call contacted me before the loan was complete and told me they were processing my loan not western sky.
I was approved for $1500 but only received $1000 because they took $500 off the top for "fees and processing". I have made 7 payments but still owe more than what I borrowed. This was confirmed when I contacted them in december. I didn't realize how excessive the interest rate was until speaking with them in december. They try to make themselves feel better by telling customers the quicker you pay the loan off the better you will be. That is a no brainer.
After speaking with them in december I contacted the consumer protection office of the north carolina attorney general's office. I filed a formal complaint with them. I was contacted by a representative from their office and informed that the nc attorney general along with several other states had filed a lawsuit against john p reddam,, delbert services, cash call and western sky.in doing more research I found that western sky had been closed down by their state and were being investigated. They were shut down in september.
The office of the attorney general advised me the loans made by the previously mentioned companies were illegal in our state. Because they were illegal I was only obligated to pay back what I had received which I have already done. I was to notify them in writing not to withdraw anymore funds from my account which I did. I put a stop payment on my account as well the same day but because it took a couple of days to process the stop payment they went into my account and took the payment out. Even after they did that people were calling me about my january payment so I got ugly with them. On tuesday I will be mailing certified letters to john p reddam the director of delbert services and president of cash call demanding return of the excess payments as well as furnishing a copy of the letter to the state attorney general's office.
I was reading the statute for recording phone calls in the state of nc and if I read correctly because the business is not licensed to do business here and do not have an office here they cannot give permission to record phone calls. I didn't give my permission to record our phone calls however they still did it. Someone has to give permission, I didn't and they couldn't.
If you are having problems with these companies contact your state attorney general for help. They may have already filed suit against them or may be in the process of it. If the companies report negatively to the credit bureau you can dispute it and will have all the evidence you need for the dispute.

CashCall Personal loan scam

This company is not to be trusted. They tell you the loan is approved; you send them "needed" documents (personal info), then you're suppose to receive a call for further instructions. There is no return call. I finally got in contact with a rep & he claimed they "could not approve my loan at this time". So... Basically, they got all sorts of personal info... No telling what may come about (from reading other complaints). This makes me extremely nervous!

CashCall home mortgage

In march 2013 we applied to cashcall to refinance our home. They made so many errors in the loan documents we could not, in good faith, sign them. My wife’s social security was wrong, and they showed our monthly income at more than $107, 000. We wish!

Two weeks later we had another set of documents, reasonably accurate, and we signed them and had our signatures notarized, including a note and deed of trust. They even had our homeowners insurance changed to show their name.

For reasons not clear to us, they did not close the loan within the time period permitted by their documents.
After two failed attempts, we chose not to deal with cashcall any longer. We sought a similar loan with other lenders, but interest rates have risen and the replacement loan cost us nearly $10, 000 more in interest and fees.

In addition, over a 2 month period cashcall put 3 inquiries into experian, causing damage to our fico scores. I repeatedly asked them to send me a letter asking the credit reporting companies to delete those inquiries from our records, but all I received were vague “we’re working on it” answers.

Those are the facts, you can choose whether to deal with cash call. Or not.

Wow, you have a whole lot of advice for the consumers on this site that have a problem with your company... who are you I know you don't have a financial degree of any kind be cause you work for cash call, no reputable company would harass their customers in the despicable manner in which your company has and continues to do so. I would get fired if I spoke to any customer the way your ghetto fabulous employees do. That's why you work there, no one would hire you with those tactics to represent their company, P.S. you can't even spell!

I saw the CASH CALL commercial and looked it up on the computer. Immediately Cash Call asked for an email... After then they would direct me to other sites. I was so frustrated with the runaround other sites would ask for a lot of personal info then nothing... I stopped the inquiry. I've been getting 35 to 100 emails a day from companies wanting me to give me a loan.

They all do the same ask for an email and other info then direct me to other sites.

THEIR SELLING EMAIL LISTS TO OTHER COMPANIES.

HOW CAN I HAVE THESE BOGUS EMAILS STOPPED.

This is for all the people who have ever dealt with Cash Call. I too am being sued and I never took a loan out with these people. They say they have proof but I say the proof is in the pudding and I have a case of snak Paks! My bank has researched my last 2 years of statements and has found nothing from these people. No loan No payments nothing. They say they have proof but they won't let me see it. I say go to court show your proof then sue them..Harassment, fraud, defamation of character and my personal favorite false advertisement! That aught to wake them up..Whatever you do don't roll over cause that's when they get you. Fight back!

This company is very discietful. They will call you twenty times a day! They will use different 800's and private call to hide their number and who they are.Even after you make arrangments, they continue to call 2 times per hour, using different numbers and leaving messages on top of this! This harassment! And they also threaten others that answer you phone that they will call your work until you answer! When I took this out, I thought that they was legimate loan company come to find out later that they are cash advance facility. The will not tell you anything until after you sign everything and they do it such a hurry, you can not go over everything until after it is all said and done.

CashCall took extra $ from my account and would refund it

I recently paid my loan in full with cash call and they continued to process their monthly payment which I was reassured it would be cancelled when I paid the loan in full. I have been fighting with them for 4 days trying to get the funds returned to me with no success. I have left messages with their supervisor jose ramirez [protected] and he will not returned my calls.

Write a nice letter documenting what happened and reference the telephone conversations. Then send it to that person via registered mail return receipt requested. mention his name in the letter, his telephone number, every thing. Demand your money be returned within say 7 or 14 days. Put cc your state AG and FTC. This part is important - send a copy of that letter to your state AG and FTC.

Next time you get a loan open an account for that purpose. As soon as you make the last payment go close it. Also record all conversations that way you can burn them on CD and include that CD to that guy, the AG and FTC. That will put his company in hot soup. They will see you are not taking their cr@p and why risk their license, etc over little cash.

I am disappointed that seemingly smart people are doing dumb things. Please follow these steps to protect yourself next time.

CashCall dirty

I took a loan out with cash call after a divorce and I was broke at the time I had a job and could pay it. I was recently laid-off living on unemployment. I was aware of the high interest rate but I could pay more and pay it off sooner now I can't I contacted them about working out a payment plan to which they said the same crap borrow it or sell something. That fixes one month but how about the other 900 years I owe them. I closed my account changed my numbers and letting go were ever it goes. I will pay my important bills and buy food before anything else.

CashCall harassment phone calls

Cash call keeps calling me at work/cell phone. From different numbers in different locations. I told that I do not have the money, right now. They just don't get it. Every time that they call, I simply hang up. Especially from a mr. Salazar. Who would not even give me his first name but then I received an e-mail from him and got his first name. I know that I have an obligation to pay them back, but please I told you what is going on in my life and they just don't get it.

CashCall be smart about what you sign!

Ok, I understand the aggravation here, but be real! You have to sign something in order to get the money you seem to have to have now and then you're gonna bag on the comp that gave you the money... My mother is dealing with this company and unfortunately she is going to have to either deal with it and pay it off (early — go get a loan!) and get it done so it doesn't continue to linger, or file bk. She'll get a loan and get it fixed, but seriously... Read what you sign! (I think i've said this to my mother 85 times... But she just had to have a new roof! Nothing wrong with the old one...)

CashCall illegal activities to get more late fees

At the inception of the loan, cash call did not take the 1st months payment automatially from my checking account instead they waited a month, then tried to charge me penalty fees and interest. When I instructed my bank not to accept any further attempts from cash call until I settled the matter with them, they tried to take the money again. I contacted cash call and told them that they must stop violating the law. They then said, they would waive all fees and late charges and try again on a specific date I tell them to remove the funds. I agreed and told them to take the funds on the 5th of each month, beginning in 30 days, becuase I only got paid once every 30 days. What they did, was try to take the money a day early. As a result no funds were present and they tried again to take extra penalties and fees. I put a stop to the payments at that time and told them to cease and desist because they violated the terms of the contract. Therefore invalidating the contract. From that time on about 9 years ago, they have been ruthless, calling, sending threating letters, and special offers to settle with an outrageous intrest rate.in addition, they took it to small claims court, without notifying me or giving me any kind of notice and got a illegal judgement. Nothing happened until recently when suddenly I get this threating collection letter. Threatning to garnish wages. I am unemployed and that really is something I did not want to hear. Put these people behind bars for 20 or more years will you. They are no better than the mafia.

Check the statute of limitations (SOL) to collect debts in your state and they are probably way past the SOL, so their threats and harassment will not stand up in court.
Good luck.

CashCall rip off

I took out a loan in oct 2010 for $2600. My first payment was $254 amd than was to be 298. I paid this loan of in 4mths (I told them feb I will pay the balance), and my pay off amount was $3012! That is insane, the interest is so high you dont even pay toward the principle.. How is this not against the law! Do not get a payday load through them, everyone knows you should pay off payday loads as soon as possible to avoid this type of interest charge but it see that amount in only 4mths. Rip off.

Today is 13Oct08, I called to see if it was possible to have an extension on my loan until the 31Oct08, was told no that, I needed to find the money because the latest date I could have would be the 17Oct08. I explained that my son had gotten sick and that his insurance coverage had been terminated, and that I was currently working on the issue so, I had to pay out of pocket the representative Amber was so rude, and then ask for an supervisor Todd who was even ruder stating what I could and could not have as if the money come from their pocket. I was even informed because they were three paydays in Oct what was I going to do with the up coming payment explained that car payment, car insurance and daycare were due. I was then told to ask for and different with car note, I explained to them that I had done this in Feb08. I felt so degraded today like I was giving my life history for $254.53. I was told by the supervisor to ask and family member I explained to him that it was not possible that everyone I knew was struggling. The point I am trying to make the loan I have had for almost two years I pay, they don't have to send me any threating letters, it has never posted to my credit over thirty days past due, and to treat a human like this when they see and hear what is going on with the economy.

Cash Call is a Rip Off, This company offers loans at an outrageous intrest rate. I was recovering from a divorce and a damaged credit score. I HAD a great paying job and no problem making payments on the $2600 and intended on paying it off early. I then lost my job and have been struggling for nearly two years. I have paid the company over $6000 and they say I still owe $2000 dollars! Everytime I am late the loan compounds at 96%. I am unemployed and stuggling. I offered to settle by paying $500 (they already made a ton of money on this loan) and they didn't have the decentcy to even call me tell me they would't accept my offer.

DON'T TAKE OUT A LOAN WITH THIS COMPANY!

the reason why they can get away with this because of it being an internet loan. thats how they conduct their business. most states don't regulate internet loans. as always investigate with the bbb or message boards such as this one. when we fall upon hard times we really don't think about these things but truthfully cashcall will make your situation worse. this company has to be one of the most richest in America. this is beyond predatory. there are lawsuits against harrassment but I haven't seen any against the dollar amount being owed. unfortunately they have been around for quite some time because they do their business through the internet which kind of makes them untouchable. go to court and hopefully a judge will think this is ridiculous and rule in your favor and give them or you a reasonable judgement.

Its not a loan . It is a payday advance disquised as a loan. when you do one all the interest you pay is alot like rent . it goes to nothing or very little to say the least. unless you are paying massive lump sums such as 4 times your interest payment you will never get out of a loan like this. You did the smart thing by paying it off in 4 months. Consider it a lesson learned and next time go to a bank or family member.

CashCall harassment via phone

I fell into some hard times around the christmas holiday, and like a fool due to poor credit, I turned to sky financial for assistance. They provided me with a $1, 000 loan in which they consider "personal". I've have dealt with payday lenders, and checked my state for authorization, in which payday lending is illegal, however sky financial states "we are not payday lenders". Upon approval of the loan, I noticed after signing the contract, that there was a fee of over $500.00 added in addition to the $1, 000 deposited into my checking account. I still don't know to this day why a $500.00 documentation fee is needed to get a loan. I recieved $1, 000.00, and I will pay them back $1, 000.00. What cash call is unaware of is that I work for the legal system, and I know what they can, and can't do. So i'm recording every phone call they make, and will be filing a harassment lawsuit against them, if the calls continue. Also all be aware sky financial is "cash call. I found this out approx. (2) weeks after recieving my loan through the mail. Keep in mind I believe if you borrow money you should pay it back, however within a resonable intrest rate, and without the illegal tactics. So to you callers from cash call continue calling me all day from multiple numbers including trying to block your number, and trying to trick consumers with 5-6 digit numbers. Remeber they are all documented. Why not try working situations out, in order to get your money back. You'll lose more in a harasment lawsuit.

To those who sent these ridiculous comments, this was intended for individuals who have been violated, and harassed by Cash Call. Regardless of what the contract states, we all have rules, and regulations to abide by. I never stated that I didn't owe the money. Ok good one Janitorial or mail room. The fact is if you do a loan in person you follow the rules of the state you are in . If you do a loan via the internet or by phone you must follow the laws that the lender is in. Perhaps someone with your legal background should check this out. This is how people in states suchs as georgia where payday loans are banned still wind up with them directly wired into thier bank accounts.

you noticed the fee AFTER you signed the contract, and now your trying to cover your behind with legal tactic. Harassing phone calls is one thing, but not agreeing to terms after you signed off on a loan - stupid.

Shame on you for not reading an agreement before signing - tell me, how does someone in the "legal system" as you claim to be in - do this?

No wonder you fell on hard times...

CashCall stay away

I have reviewed numerous complaints on the internet regarding usury laws and how cash call is breaking the law in california. My purpose is to create a group of supporters who are interested in contacting the state attorney generals office regarding this issues so called the cash call ripoff, i'd like to support a class action lawsuit in california against cash call for all current outstanding loans to obtain a new agreement with cash call to reduce the unfair loan rates to be brought in line with the laws of california. May case is identical to all those described in the complaints section, in that, cash call refuses to work with people even when they are willing to pay the loan.

Not loan is truly a smart loan. All lenders are looking to get money from us so do not be fooled. Cash call is not good loan to receive.

No one else would give me a loan or a credit card because of my credit report so. I called them and got the loan.

Cash call looks bad on your credit report too because the interest rates are so high. I have never had a problem with Cash call.

I have to be smarter. After I pay them off, I am thinking that, if I can pay them 200.00 monthly. Then, I can put $200.00 in a savings each month so I will never pay high interest when I need money quickly.

I am glad I do not have credit card debt and Cash call we be history and a GOOOOOOOOOOOOd listen learned.

CashCall put me in a loan slavery

I received a loan through cash call in 2007 for 2600.00 and have been paying on this loan since. I read about all the people this company has screwed and I can't understand why this company is not under investigation by the ftc, consumer affairs. The governor of cal. (arnold) must have been getting donation's kick back's from them. The ceo of this company is another "bernie" and until state of federal government steps in and review's all the complaint's noting will ever get done. Thing's are always better in numbers and the only way is to strike and stop paying these people. The company will go broke and then and only then the company will be investigated. It would take a lot of planning but it could be done. Slave's fought for there right's and won this is no different.

CashCall greedy company

I was approved for a loan in the amount of $2600. I advised the rep. That I only wanted $1500. He stated that I could send $1000 back and make payments on the $1500. Well... I thought what the heck, and did not send the $1000 back. I am still paying on the loan. Three years later and I still owe $2000. What? I know this a ripoff! I have paid back over $6000 already. I am unemployed and scratching for money, and this company will not assist with this situation. I offered a settlement of $400.00 and they didn't even return with a response. Isn't $4000 enough. I spoke to a rep who advised my interest rate was 96%! How greedy can a company be. They are crooks and take advantage of those in dire straights.

Damage resulting = I am currently trying keep my already damaged credit score intact but cc is making it very difficult. I lose sleep and have tension headaches as a result of this unethical company. I have three kids in college and my money is gone. What can I do?

CashCall late fees

I'm filing this complaint against them because they are a rip off company, I am almost finish paying them in october2010, now they are saying I owe late fees. I pay my late fee which is 15.00 everytime I am late. I spoke to one of the reps I told them they better get it together because I am not paying anymore late fees and I don't like people to try and rip me off, i've ripped from them already. I also borrowed 25, 00 and now done payed them almost 9000 dollars. Yes we need to sue them and shut them down. I need a laywer can someone refer one because I got a feeling I am going to have a problem with them in the end.
