Baer's Furniture Furniture - bedroom set, leather sectional, chest

Flew in from out of State to purchase furniture from this horrible Company.

At the time of purchase all in the showroom seemed well. But at the 'end' of my sale over $10,000, the sales rep (Marco) NEVER "thanked me for my business".

The sales rep was beginning his deception AFTER he took my monies for my order. There was a micro that was not on the floor that belongs to the bedroom and was given a quote of MUCH less to order before I made the big purchase. My delivery arrived with ALL DAMAGED Furniture. I requested the furniture be returned, the the moving Company contracted by Baers furniture indicated they had orders NOT to remove the furniture. For weeks (DAILY) I was being told about 'repairs' I made it CLEAR I did not pay for repairs I paid and expect BRAND NEW furniture. At one point I then disputed with my credit card since Baer's furniture did NOT want to replace or refund my monies. Months and weeks went bye not allowing me to enjoy the comfort of my home, Baers submitted docs to my credit card Company as if I signed a contract in which I HAVE NO CONTRACT. It has been nothing but pure HELL, there months (almost four months) and I'm still suffering. I have now escalated this Company to ALL possible Governing authority as I noticed on other sites where other VICTIMS have experienced the same thing I have, USED, or DAMAGED Furniture with HORRIBLE customer service. After ordering the furniture (not yet delivered) I ordered the Matching Mirror that was PAID for in Full, Baers furniture kept the mirror hostage and refused to ship (although I paid for it in Full) because I was disputing the charges, so BAERS felt they wanted to cause me MORE emotional distress and harm by NOT shipping the PAID mirror so I could not ate least try to enjoy the damagesThere are hundreds if not thousands of victims from this Company. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. Buyer BEWARE

Baer's Furniture Dining room table base

Approximately 18 months ago (November 2022), we purchased over $20,000 of furniture at Baer's.

As part of this order, we purchased 2 metal dining room table bases. In late March, 2023 (still under warranty), we filed a claim that the finish was peeling off one of the bases.

In April 2023, a technician came out and determined that it needed to be replaced. Since it was a custom order, it needed to be filed through Baer's to the manufacturer.

We have called Baer's customer service several times only to be told "we are still waiting to hear back from the vendor". Really? Months later. The company can't reach out the vendor to get a status? If I ever said this to a customer, I'd lose my job.

I have made approximately 8 calls to Baer's customer service since April with 2 calls being made last week only to be told the same thing. I was also told a manager would reach out to me. Yet to hear back.

This company has no trouble taking your money during a sale but the follow up on damaged items is unacceptable. I would never purchase another item through them again.

Desired outcome: Follow up from Baer's with an estimated delivery date for the damaged item.

Baer's Furniture Natuzzi leather sectional purchase

It’s been almost one year since we received our defective sectional. I have called and emailed Baers furniture customer service countless times during this time frame. The issue is that one piece does not line up in the lumbar area of the sofa. There have been 4 repair companies who visited my home with no but problems such as they don’t bring the needed materials/parts to repair the sofa. They are told the parts are at my home and I am told they are bringing them and then nothing is accomplished. We received the sofa June 28, 2022 and have been fighting to resolve the issue since then. The sofa was $8,000 and it’s not right that we have to accept it in its defective form. Not once have I received any call from a manager or anyone with authority. They dodge the issue and waste my time over and over again! They brought a piece of leather that was custom made by Natuzzi to match our custom order sofa but it did not match. The repair person told me that it’s impossible to match 200 percent since sofa was made over a year ago! Baers customer service rep named Janet in Jacksonville told me she was awaiting approval to allow us to choose another side to replace this one and then said she would contact me within one week. A month went by and of course I heard nothing and when I called her she told me they said that they do not guanatee dye lots will match. The only reason we need dye lot to match is because of defective piece of the sofa! I’m fed up!

Baer's Furniture Sonoma - panama jack by palmetto home milbrook table six chairs and buffet

I purchased the Set, Table Six Chairs and Matching Buffet, by Panama Jack by Palmetto Home Millbrook January 7,2023, Delivery day January 28,2023 Table 1. I called customer service and informed them that the table wobbled back and forth, and they sent a repair company, the repair man tightened all the screws, and the table still wobbled back and forth. after not hearing from them I went into the store, to see what was going on, they advised me they were going to replace the table. On April 15,2023 they replaced the wobbly table.1 When the delivery men set the new table 2 up, I ask them to be sure the screws were tightened before they left, that replacement table 2 wobbled as well. At this point Customer Service set up a replacement. I selected the Bar table 3 with six chairs that matched the buffet on May 4, 2023. I received Table 3 on May 9, 2023, again I called customer service and a repairman came out and said the six chairs are not repairable, and patched the two spots on the table, very dissatisfied. They suggested a switch out, The fourth table and six chairs to be delivered June 17, 2023. And picking up third table six chairs and buffet on June 17, 2023.

Baer's Furniture Couch

We purchased a couch from Baer's back in July of 2021.
We then moved to a bigger home in August 2022 and contacted Baer's to purchase the same couch so that we could have two couches in our living room, our sales associate was Mona.
Our first problem we encountered was that the couch was delivered to our old address. So they told us they would correct the address on their system, and that we would receive a call to schedule a delivery.

We never received a call, so I contacted Mona, and it turned out that they had the wrong phone number. We were then told that this would be corrected in their system. After several attempts we finally got our couch.
Five months later, we are noticing the new couch was making loud squeaky noises when you sat on it. It was obvious that it was Manufacturer's defect.

I reached out to Mona to let her know, with no reply back. I then contacted Baer's and got a hold of a gentlemen by the name of Mike. He promised us it would be resolved and that someone from services would reach out to us on a specific date. To which, no one reached out to us. I contacted Mike again, asked him to double check the phone number in the system since we previously had that problem, he confirmed the phone number, and promised once again that we would be contact on a specific date. Again we did not receive a call. I called Mike again and he apologized repeatedly for the lack of service. A month goes by, between calling Mike, not receiving any calls as promised, so I finally spoke to the manager Robert. He assured me this would be taken care of immediately. Again no calls, no one reaching out to help.

Finally on January 25 2023, I received a text message from Lindsay (from the repair service), telling me they had the wrong number (again) and trying to schedule an appointment to have technicians come to our home, earliest date is Feb 14 or Feb 22.
I asked her if they are coming to replace the couch or just inspecting the couch, to which she mentioned it will be an inspection.
The couch is clearly needs to be replaced and not fixed, I offered to send a video, however it was not her authorization to make that call.

So it took one month to finally receive a call from Baer's and now another month before technicians can come out to "inspect".
SUPER disappointed with their service and their accountability to what they advertise on their site "We want to do whatever it takes to earn your trust as our customer".
We are repeat customers and we are getting the run around as if this was a mom and pop shop. Trust I no longer have with this company.

Desired outcome: Replace my couch, don't send anyone to "inspect" something that we know is broken, and financial compensation for our inconveniences.

Baer's Furniture Delayed chair delivery of no concern to saleperson Chad Ristow

My contract calls for a Recliner chair to be delivered on or before the 31 Dec 2022. Mr. Ristow, at time of sale 10 December, smoothly said it could be in even earlier as there over 60 in the pipeline. I Checked back 12/24 and again today 12/31 only to learn fill date pushed to maybe on 8 Jan. The salesperson should be calling us on status if late versus me asking. Secondly, when I was not happy, he told to go ahead and come in a cancel it. Not a good salesperson. Too slick and uncaring about filling this order.

Desired outcome: Deliver or before 8 January. Have the salesperson call us in advance if that date will not be met. Do not leave it on me to follow up. Order number [protected]

Baer's Furniture Natuzzi recliner

On October 14, 2020 I purchased two very expensive pieces of Natuzzi leather furniture, a recliner and sofa, including a pricey warranty on both items.

Not even 12 months after purchase the recliner showed signs of severe discoloration, wrinkling and stretching. I contacted Baer's furniture and was told that the warranty only covered cuts and tears, besides they do not cover my location. I would have to hire someone locally to get it repaired.

After numerous additional written complaints and phone calls they sent someone out. He looked at it and told me he would return with the necessary items to repair. Never heard back, even though I tried to contact them again and again.

I truly cannot recommend Baer's furniture. Their customer service is non-existant

Baer's Furniture Bed Set

I had a bed delivered from this company a few weeks ago and the bed didn't come with the necessary hardware in order to put it together. They told me they would return the next day to finish. No call and no show. I call a week later and am told they will call me back. No call back. I've called 2 managers at this location and my original sales person, all saying they would call me back and nothing. I even called the corporate office and same result. This company is a slimey, shadey bunch of unprofessional individuals who thinks they can just charge you top dollar for furniture and scam you out of it. The fact that all these people are dodging me all the way up to corporate should tell you everything you need to know about them. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I've never experienced this with any furniture company in all my years.

Baer's Furniture Quality of Service - Untrained Employees

I purchased a leather loveseat in early May 2022 at the Jacksonville, Florida store. At the time of purchase, the salesperson, Kathy, assured me the item would be delivered in June of this year.

I called the store on June 16 and advised Kathy that I was cancelling the order because the “delivery date” was now sometime after August of this year. Kathy assured me the refund would be made within 7 - 10 days.

Naturally, that did not happen. I called the store this AM and spoke to a ‘manager” named Robert. Beyond blaming me that Kathy failed to initiate the return, he hung up the phone on me.

I called the corporate office and they transferred me to the Jacksonville store, to Kathy, who promptly hung up on me after denying our conversation May 16.

Glad to see this company now carries the Comcast torch of horrible service. BUYER BEWARE. This company employees the most poorly trained, rudest human beings on the planet. They make Comcast look like a Fortune 500 company. No integrity whatsoever.

This place is a textbook example of customer contempt. What a joke.

Desired outcome: Still waiting for a refund. Still…..

Apparently, Baer's employees are 'very well-trained'. Have had similar experiences: phone being hung up during a call, delaying [my original order was September a year ago, was told item remade and sent to store warehouse 2 times now but 'lost' both times], and 'promises' that "I am his top priority" in finding the rest of the order - this also from Robert. After reading the above consumer complaint and a few more, I'm realizing that dealing with Baer's by myself will not work. Can the word 'fraud' now be used to describe what has happened? Should I look into elder abuse as I [from an age standpoint] easily fit into that category. I've found the 'ON YOUR SIDE' contact from the local TV station. When I last spoke to Robert after sending him another email in August, 2022, I told him that I have kept the items [ 2 of the items were correct and the third was a repeat of one of the first two but all 3 delivered at the same time in April, 2022] they sent to me in a 'hope chest' since receiving the partial order [I was told it was to be the full order] in early April 2022. Since we were coming up on a year since the original order was placed, I suggested that I would bring back the items for a full refund. I was told he couldn't [wouldn't?] do that but he'd make good on the order. As he knows I'm patient but also old and have had several health issues since the original order was placed September, 2021, with Allie, the salesperson. I jokingly but pointedly said that I'd like to still be around [living] by the time they find the remainder of the order. Robert was appalled. Unfortunately, unless they would find the remaining part of the original order, the dye lots will be different as well so the whole order would have to be refilled. My next step is to contact Consumer Fraud at the state level and a lawyer for advice as well. The total amount is shy of $3000. In a retail store, you pay 1/2 up front and the balance PRIOR to receiving the order. I originally requested to pick up the order at the store but was told that they deliver as it is delivered to a warehouse from the supplier and shipped to the consumer from the warehouse.

Baer's Furniture Medispine duncanini memory foam not a good bed!

Good day, I bought a Medispine Duncanini Memory foam bed at Bears in Lichtenburg on Monday 20 June, this morning 22 June, the top layer of the Matress on the side is already tearing, this has not even been two days on the bed, how is this possible? THE PRODUCT IS THE WORST.

I would Like a new bed since my first installment has not yet went of and the matress is already getting loose on the side.

Baer's Furniture Natuzzi leather sofa

Bought my natuzzi sofa a couple of months ago and have written once and contacted my sales girl that I purchased the sofa from . I have found it to be the most uncomfortable sofa that I paid $2500 for and find it on each end so very lumpy and uncomfortable. My sales lady said they would send a leather specialist to look at it and possibly take it apart and fix it . I really don’t think after paying that much money I should have to wait until someone comes to try and rectify it by taking a new sofa apart . Evidently it is defective and should be replaced! I’ve bought a dining room set, counter chairs and a natuzzi chair and should be completely satisfied not having to wait to fix a defective piece of furniture. I wait for your reply.

Baer's Furniture Bed mattress

Paid nearly $4000 for bed mattress which began to have significant depressions on both sleeper sides. Have call customer service multiple times and finally a tech came to the house and recorded the defects and said Baer's would get back to me with solution. They never did and I have not been able to talk to anyone in customer service. They put me on hold for long periods of time and then only get recorded message telling me to state problem and call back number, but no return call. The defects began well within the warranty period.

I still have not received any satisfaction concerning this problem. For your info my weight is 175 lbs and 6'1". Baer's, in Stuart, FL, has a good reputation for customer service and I am SHOCKED, SHOCKED, that they have not resolved the problem. The mattress and foundation is less than a month old. In good conscience I will never recommend Baer's again.

Baer's Furniture Natuzzi special order

My wife and I purchased the Natuzzi Potenza edition living room set in July 2021. The set consisted of a recliner chair (blue), a recliner love seat (lite grey) a non-recliner two cushion sofa (lite grey). For the sofa were told and signed off on a 4-5 month wait period and agreed. The chair and the love seat were delivered on time. Four months later (Nov.) they delivered the sofa in the wrong color (lite brown). they say it will be re-ordered and shipped out fast within 3 months. Four months passed and still no sofa and told it came in the wrong color again. Now it's April 14, 2022, and were told it will be reordered and shipped express in another 3-4 months, that's if it's the right color. What a bummer!

Desired outcome: They have a sofa in the correct color in stock, but it's a recliner. Originally it was $1200 more than the non-recliner. If their willing to negotiate something more resonable that would be fine. Even though it's not what we wanted

Baer's Furniture Never Received Order

Good morning Mr. David Bears,

I spoke to you last week regarding an order that has disappeared from your system. My name is Martie Charlier Customer account number 3CHM0823. This account number indicates that I paid $383.04 Product Protect for Barclay Butera Carmel Post Ranch King Panel, 70 inch Bluff Double Dresser, and 2 MC Nightstands. I was approved for the Bears Credit Card on 2/28/2021. The credit limit was 7K. I have called several times and was advised the order is delayed due to COVID. When I called last week, I was advised that I don't have an order. Everything for my account was wiped from your computer system. I am a COVID Long-Hauler who can't deal with any type of frustration. I have been very patient but I want my order.

I called you back several times but keep getting your voicemail. Please call me as soon as possible at [protected]. I don't want to get into litigation or involve the media in this issue. Hopefully, you can resolve this issue for me.

Baer's Furniture Beauty Rest King Size Mattress

I purchased a kingsize bedrooms set complete with mattress June, 2021. It was delivered Sept 1, 2021. Nov 1, 2021 I notice a tear in the underside of the mattress. Called the [protected]. Inspector (first name Warren) came to my home o e resulted in no action. I did receive an email in Dec saying it would be taken care of in 7-10 days NOTHING! Please either replace this mattress or credit my account (NOT a store credit please) I finance through Synchrony Bank through Baer. PLEASE HELP ME!

Baer's Furniture Misleading product and customer support

We went mid-November in one of their store and looked for couches sofas ideas etc.; besides the sealer Cindy I believe commenting on a loud voice /have to find a within your budget" as $2000-$4000 is cheap, we found a chair that above all loved the color/ was a green ocean with a gray hue on it; when we mentioned we like the green color she never comments nor correct us as we found out that was not the color of the chair off the lighting was diplomatically arranged in the store; I took a picture of it and we order it; when we received it, was a totally different dark gray color and immediately refused it; I also took another picture and you can see the difference between it; after a ridiculously dialogue text back and forth, accusing us of a bad visual or camera quality we came in the store to speak to a manager/ which later found out wasn't there and he's later avoiding us and we expected the money back. We were told to go to wear house and find the chair we want as some colors may differ since we won't get our money back

Baer's Furniture Failure to deliver purchased furniture

Good Afternoon,
My name is Scott Gover. I ordered a Power Motion Console Loveseat item number [protected] from Baers Furniture Online, on 22 April 2021, transition number [protected]. I was initially lead to believe the product was available. I was later informed that the loveseat would be delivered in June 2021. After receiving no correspondence from Baers in June, I contacted their Customer Service Department to determine when the furniture would be delivered. I was then informed it would not be available until August 2021. Today, I once again contacted Baers and was given a new estimated delivery date of late September 2021. The company does little to keep customers informed of delays. Based on the discussion with the Customer Service Representative, this latest delivery date, appeared optimistic at best. I cancelled my order. The company offers no compensation for repeated delays or for holding customer funds for months, without delivering purchased merchandise. I am sure that I am not an isolated case. These types of business practices should be illegal. The only thing Baers is accomplishing, is developing a growing list of dissatisfied customers, that will share their experiences and conduct business elsewhere.

Baer's Furniture A bedroom set

After 3 deliveries my Lexington bed is damage every time a different one is sent it comes with a different kind of damage. I paid over $6000.00 for the set. Customer service is horrible they leave you on hold for a long time and when they finally answer they have attitudes like your asking for favors. I'm very disappointed with Baers . Don't buy from them. I've gone to cheaper furniture stores and never have such problems.
