People that wear blue or black uniforms who get paid to set people up and plant evidence on them, they actually smoke and use the dope from people they bust on the streets, are racists and beat black men half unconscience, have an addiction to doughnuts, pull motorists over on the road and unfairly give them a ticket because they haven't met their monthly quota, beat their wives and just are hypocrites and just as corrupt as the people they arrest.
The police calling themsleves "public servants" are actually a scandalous clad of douhgnut junkies

We all need to address this subject and respect the opiniona we agree with or disagree with. This is why the post was created. You all are right and let me try my best to explain.

Of course, the best way to prevent police misconduct is NOT to hire problem-prone officers in the first place. If only it were that simple.

Much of the selection process for police candidates is actually deselection, or screening out, of potentially troublesome candidates based on a variety of practical and psychological criteria. An alternative approach to selecting candidates is the screening in of those individuals who are suitable and desirable. The problem is that most current screening protocols typically focus on identifying the characteristics of “bad” officers; much less is currently known about what traits make a “good” officer and about how career experiences affect these characteristics.

Moreover, even the best pre-employment screening protocol cannot necessarily anticipate emotional and psychological problems that may develop after the selection process, during an officer’s tenure on the force.

Nevertheless, certain index signs are useful. Screening-out red flags include drug or alcohol abuse; behavioral disorders due to serious medical or psychiatric disability; a history of serious juvenile delinquency; repeated conflicts with authority; misconduct or poor performance in former jobs; chronic financial problems; or a criminal record. A particularly important feature of the evaluation is the candidate’s style of handling anger and aggression, both in the past and presently.

Indeed, these are basic criteria for almost all types of employee screening, but especially for those positions that concern public safety. Formal personality testing per se typically screens out about 15 percent of police candidates.

AS A COMMUNITY THAT NEED THE POLICE WE MUST NOT IGNOR THE PROBLEMS THAT SOME OFFICERS WILL AND DO SCREW UP!
Society at large are part of the check and balance system in America. But over the years WE THE PEOPLE have been non-vocal in participating in facing the scary truth. This is a responsibility we all must take and this is a start.

Thank you all for commenting and please feel free to share your views! We as a nation need it!

PS.. Please do not call us when you need help! Call the POLICE! (Just a friendly jab at Mica1755)

I just thought I share with you that not all cops are bad people. There are some that want to help people out there and others that wish to do the opposite like certain people commenting.

I usually give them enough rope to hang themselves. Just when they are feeling uber satisfied with themselves for getting one over on me, I kick the ###ing stool out from under them and watch them swing in the breeze. ;) LMAO

But seriously all of your comments are appreciated and we do enjoy them. But the post is meant to provoke thought that can help us all improve our communities.

You must be a cop Jersey guy. I did file a restraining order and give it to the correct law enforcement agencies. I also made several reports about him not following the restraining order, and also his abuse towards myself as well as my children. Eventually, you stop when you realize that they aren't going to do anything to help you. What would you suggest I do? Or do you think it is okay that my ex beat me up, were I had bruises all over my body, in front of his offspring? Maybe you live in Candy Land, or Lolly Pop Way, and it is all candy apples, and lolly pops, in your life, but some actually have had problems with law enforcement.

How about you explain to my teenage son why his daddy used to beat up his mommy in front of him? You explain why he shouldn't feel guilty because he couldn't protect his mommy. While your add it, you take away his nightmares about him being the same type of father that fears he will become. You explain why law enforcement time and time again refused to "help" his mommy from the abuse, as well as him. How do explain to a child that fears life because the people ie (law enforcement) and his (daddy), should have been protecting him, and didn't.

### you. I am allowed to express my contempt for cops, because many of them are dirty, have a God complex, or are so empathic they refuse to help the most innocent of society. Everything is true about what I experienced. I have yet to see evidence that cops aren't total [censored]s. I see them using their sirens to get out of waiting out a light, I watched five of them enjoying a hot drunk chick as she is doing a sobriety test, I see them hanging out at the convenient store across the street, but refuse to patrol and actually catch the jerk off breaking into houses around here. I have dealt with cops that tell you one thing, and than do another...

I got myself into an abusive relationship, but when I ended it to protect my children, as well as myself, law enforcement should have enforced my restraining orders, prosecuted him for child abuse, and domestic abuse. He never spent a day in jail! Maybe he was friends with one of the ###s, or maybe the cops I interacted with didn't want to deal with the extra paper work. So ### them, why should I have respect for an agency that did little to protect my children or me?

I am a good actress thanks to my ### ex. Cops have no idea the contempt I feel for them because I can hide it well. Regardless, that it was my fault for having expired tags, the cops still should have been respectful, and forthcoming. He wanted someone to ### with, and he messed with my poor boyfriend. Maybe his wife told him off, and beating the crap out of her wasn't enough, so he had to be a [censored] to the people he interacted with at his job. It is true that fifty percent of cops beat their wives ... Must make you proud! ### cops and ### you!

I don't like cops at all. My ex beat the crap out of me in front of my toddler kids. I had bruises all over my body. The "detectives" refused to prosecute him, because I had taken money from him to buy diapers for my two kids. He wasn't helping out at all. It was okay that he beat me up numerous time in front of my children, forced his way into my home, which he didn't live at, nor pay child support for the kids he helped bring into this world. I hate them all. Fifty percent of cops do beat their wives up.( Found that fun fact through abuse counseling!) Cops stop you just to give you a hard time. I love when they turn on their sirens to go through a light, or by my house hang out at the local convenience store, but cannot be bothered to patrol the neighborhood and stop the recent break ins in the area!

Recently I was stopped with my fiancee, in the car, the cop was a total ###, that gave us the fifth degree. He impounded the car, which was my fault because my tags were expired, after my man tried to open the trunk, like the officer directed, he than pounds him into the back of the police car, and handcuffs him. Than giving us the the fifth degree, like what are you guys doing? Um, do you not notice the bags of groceries in the back of the car?! He should have worked for the LAPD, those ###s act that way too!

When my kids were little, a friend and I were taking our kids to the park in LA. A LAPD officer almost bashed into our strollers, and stops an inch away from our babies. I am sorry, but at what point should my opinion of cops change? They didn't bother to protect my children or me. I am lucky that I didn't get killed from my psycho ex! Not to mention, it is considered child abuse to physically abuse a parent in front of their small children. They never bothered to enforce my restraining order either! So, why should I have any respect for cops, when they have never, bothered to do their jobs, like protect and serve the public. It seems to me they serve themselves and the cities they work for. Making their ticket quotas and giving citizens a hard time. You hear stories over and over of police corporation, abuse charges, ect. ect. WE THE PEOPLE, I agree with you. Cops are total tools!

Man up and take care of your business! Just STFU and pay the ticket you earned while you still have a shred of self-respect and dignity.

Never mind; I just re-read your whiny, emotional, bitter little temper tantrum and see that ship sailed years ago.
