Ann Taylor Mixed Experiences with Ann Taylor

As someone deeply passionate about fashion, I understand the importance of quality and service when it comes to clothing brands. Ann Taylor, a well-known name in the industry, seems to evoke mixed emotions among its customers. While some praise the brand for its chic and elegant clothing, others express frustration over issues like delayed shipments, poor customer service, and discrepancies in product quality. It's disheartening to see loyal customers feeling let down by a brand they once cherished. As you consider exploring Ann Taylor for your wardrobe needs, it's essential to weigh these contrasting experiences and make an informed decision based on what matters most to you.

Ann Taylor Perfect jeans

For me, buying jeans is sometimes a real challenge, because I have a disproportionate figure. It was in this store that I found the same perfect jeans for myself.

Ann Taylor Ann Taylor is consistent on quality and fit

Ann Taylor is consistent on quality and fit. I find it hard to buy clothes online but LOFT as well as Ann Taylor are great for petite sizes that might be a little curvy as well.

Ann Taylor Helpful to the max!

Ann Taylor store at Villages in Rochester, Michigan is great! Sales staff helped me find current trends in my petite sizes, then ordered other tops I wanted. Also found perfect dress for my daughter in Chicago--- wrapped and ready to give as birthday gift. We always find the best fitting current trends here. Thanks! JS

Ann Taylor Great finds

I started shopping on this site in 2014 and really liked what I bought. I purchased different items from clothes to hair products. The quality is great and prices are reasonable.
I do find I spend more money on sites Than going to the malls etc. But since I do not shop in larger cities any longer I still find the quality.

Ann Taylor Quality has improved over the last 4 years

I stopped shopping at Ann Taylor when they switched to synthetics instead of natural materials. However, the quality of their merchandise has improved over the last couple of years and it is nice that everything is machine washable although I still treasure all the silk dresses I purchased in the past. What I like most about Ann Taylor is that nearly all of their clothes are available in petite sizes.

Ann Taylor Fantastic assistance at Ann Taylor!

Today I visited the Ann Taylor store at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC. I needed help selecting clothes for my niece's wedding in September. Lauren Wiseman, Store Manager and Maureen Mills, Co-Manager spent almost 2 hours pulling clothes, helping me try on items and giving professional feedback on choices of clothing. They were FANTASTIC! I left the store with clothes for the cocktail party, wedding and morning brunch. Everything was 50% off, so my receipt was just under $500. Amazing for such quality clothes!
Thank you ladies for your wonderful help!

Ann Taylor Terrible customer service, also fraudulent--they give you X when you pay for Y

I'm looking for a career in economics, and the economic job market (where 95% of employers will be interviewing) happens on Jan 3rd. I've got my interviews lined up, and all I need now is a suit. I didn't get it earlier because I had some surgery recently and didn't know how it'd affect fit.

I went to Ann Taylor last weekend (Dec 13) and had the absolute worst customer service?I asked the employee to order pants in the "Kate" fit for me (their looser fit) in the same fabric (the all-season stretch, because they also make suits in wool, I just dont like the sheen on the black wool) and she pulled out a pair of Kate pants in the wool fabric and said that that was what I wanted. I kept insisting to her that these were NOT the same pants, and she kept insisting that the difference was all because it was a different fit. Yes, including the $40 difference in price, the complete difference in the materials (I made her look at the materials tag), etc. I tried to explain to her that HER store had two types of suiting in black, and what I really wanted was the suiting in the all-season stretch.

I decided to give up and just buy the suit set in all-season stretch, no kate fit, and maybe order stuff online and return what fit worst. She tried to convince me to open a credit card with ann taylor to get 65% off. I told her that discounts like that didn't work on their suiting and she kept insisting they did. I kept telling her she was wrong and told her to go ahead and check it with the computer. She checked and sure enough? no discount! So she would have had me open a credit card I didn't need, take a credit ding, for no discount. Know your business lady. Finally I gave up and decided to order a bunch of pants online myself so I didn't have to deal with her.

So I go on anntaylor.com and order over $550 worth of suiting stuff in black all-season stretch, with varying combinations of petite/cut/size figuring I'll return all but the best top/bottom combo. I pay for overnight shipping because I need this stuff hemmed asap since my tailor will be on vacation from the 24th to the 1st, and the latest I can pick up my stuff is the 2nd... so I want to get him my stuff by the 15th or 16th.

Ok so get this: on the 14th I pay for overnight shipping. My receipt, and my order online, both say "guaranteed delivery by the 15th". The fine print says that they will send my order via USPS express mail. On the 16th I get an email saying "congrats, your order has shipped". WTH?! I ask for my shipping cost back, and they refund me. The USPS tracking number doesn't work and finally on the 18th it shows that they didn't ship my stuff until 8:30pm on the 17th. On top of that, they used 2-day priority, so my stuff won't arrive until the 21st! Yep, I paid for overnight and got super slow handling and didn't even get the shipping I paid for.

Maybe they downgraded my shipping after I asked for my money back because their handling wasn't what I'd paid for? If so, that's just terrible business--why in the world would you punish your customer after you already screw up their order?

Now I'll have to pay insane rush fees and even then I'll just have to pray that my tailor can somehow fit my suit with only a couple days of actual business days between drop off and pick up. If my tailor gets slammed and doesn't get to my suit even with the rush on it, I'm out of luck--there's nothing I can do to get them magically hemmed.

So? all you ladies looking for jobs and needing suits to interview: AVOID ANN TAYLOR LIKE THE PLAGUE! They don't know their business, they have terrible customer service, and they will gladly tell you you're paying for overnight shipping and handling when really you're lucky if your stuff gets there within a week.

Ann Taylor Gypsy scam

I was in fact a bit taken aback by all the Christianity matter on her altar. I found her "speaking from On High" manner a bit off-putting but she got some apparent hits without my telling anything about me. (But now that I realize her game, I see that her "hits" were more off than on.) She probably based her rather generalized statements on the fact that I'm a heavy-set Gen-X fellow with a dour and reserved demeanor, and certain things are very likely going to be true about somebody such as myself, especially if that person is seeing a shrink or a psychic.

She said that I have a "negativity" that is holding me back, but paying $150 for a meditative partnership with her would help me rid myself of this negativity. Why did I fall for it? What I thought this "meditative partnership" was going to involve was her using her psychic mojo to help me be a better meditator. Meditation does seem to help those who are good at it, but to be good at it, one must quiet the inane chatter of the conscious mind. So in other words, I mistakenly thought she was going to help me empower myself rather than doing the opposite that she ended up trying to do.

I am not an early riser, so she had me getting up earlier than was my wont for these morning sessions as part of this meditation therapy. That should have made me wonder, I suppose, because the TM people taught me that one needs to be well-rested to meditate effectively. I guess I just thought that Ms. Johns was putting me through spiritual bootcamp.

What raised a red flag first was her claim in a meeting on early Sunday afternoon that my negativity was going to "destroy" my life if I didn't purify myself of it. Now I know my [butt] from a hole in the ground spirituality-wise, and I know that creating fear around a spiritual process is not appropriate spirituality.

Sure enough, Ms. Johns asked for more money in our session yesterday. For me, it has always been an iron truism that when someone isn't straight with you from the get-go about how much money they're going to ultimately want from you, they are a swindler. When I told Ms. Johns that I had paid as much money as I was going to pay, she then laid on me the hardest sell to which I had ever been subjected. Had I been the weak-minded and naive type who very likely comprises Ms. John's mostly working-class clientele, it probably would have worked better than any telemarketer's spiel ever could. But for [me], it all just screamed, "Scam, scam, scam, scam; scam, scam, scam, scam!" So I just held up my hand and said, "I am terminating this association." And that was that. I felt as if the 27 Bus couldn't convey me away from Ms. Johns's Greenfield neighborhood fast enough. When the 15 Bus brought me back to the Cudahy-South Milwaukee area where I live, I experienced the odd sensation of actually being glad to see the sorry old place.

Ann Taylor Poor service

I viewed a sweater on the Ann Taylor website and the search function indicated that the sweater was not in any Ann Taylor store near me. I paid full price and shipping charges. The next day I went to my local Ann Taylor store and the sweater was in the front of the store (in various sizes). I called customer service but the item was already shipped.
The next day I was on the website and the same sweater was marked 30 percent off. I called customer service and even spoke to a supervisor who told me that they could not (translation - would not) adjust the price. The woman said that I could return the sweater and pay for return shipping and buy another at the discounted price. Hence, two shipping charges.
I explained that the website indicated that the sweater was not in any of my local stores and that I didn't even receive the sweater yet. They wouldn't budge.
I cancelled my Ann Taylor card and will not shop at their store again.

Ann Taylor unfair fees

My credit card bill is due today, however, when I went on line to pay the bill I was told that I would have to pay an additional $10 if I wanted to make my payment the same day. Did I miss something? I do not understand why I am being pinalized for paying on time. the payment should be credited to your account the same day. when I called their cusotmer service from hell I was basically told
that I had no choice and that I had to pay the extra $10, I then asked for a manager and then I was transferred to a Brian at ext 3159 who had no intention of resolving this matter but rather got anoyed because I wanted some answers. I got so frustrated that I told him to cancel my credit card after years of shopping at Ann Taylor . I will never, ever step foof in any of their stores again. Thank goodness for
Macy's. YOUR LOSS ANNT TAYLOR STORES, HOPE YOU GOT RICHER WITH THE EXTRA $10 YOU STORE FROM ME TODAY!
