I am a wronged employee
I am a new agent with American Senior Benefits and I have already had 2 clients. I never got paid for these client appointments, Health Assessment, and monthly commission. The "leads" I was given were all old numbers and were people on the "do not call" list. I refuse to call anyone on the "do not call" list, as I respect their wishes to be left alone.
Anyways, no one in that office will get back to me about the money they owe me for my services (it's well over $400). I am about to report them to the state commissioner and open up my own insurance business.
I would like my money paid in full to me, and I advise everyone to steer clear of American Senior Benefits.
Desired outcome: I would like my money paid in full to me, and I would like an apology, as well as for them to change their leads list. It is illegal to call people on the "do not call" list.
Fraudulent company
A young man came to my door today; Brian Bendo, using a fraudulent name that he was here to visit regarding life insurance. After trying to convince me to sign up with your company he left. I decided to file a complaint with the BBB as this interaction left me feeling afraid. As of this day, please don't contact me any longer. I gave this person, Brian Bendo my birthday and current Insurance information. I hope you take care of this matter? Need be, I will take this matter further if I need to.
Thank you,
Ms.Arnetruce Baker
Lincoln Park, Michigan 48146
Desired outcome: Leave me alone. I am mot interested in changing my coverage
This complaint is about North American Senior Benefits as seen in the photo of the business card. Please move it to the correct company profile!
Telemarketing
Give me a specific as possible, I am getting anywhere from 15 to 25, sometimes 30 phone calls a day is the American senior benefit and are trying to sell me final expenses insurance, telling me I have Medicare, when I don’t. I know sometimes I play with them and find out where they’re from Charles find out how they got my information. But I just hung up. Sometimes I just yelled and cussed him out. They hang up. But if your company is supporting these telemarketers to do 20 and 30 phone calls a day. You need to make it stop. I personally do not want to receive these calls. I have asked to be taken off of these phone lists. Is it still being taken off the panelists? They get angry and start yelling and that’s when I hang out with them not gonna put up with that. Play thing is when you try to call these numbers back to their calling your phone, they always seem to be disconnected numbers. So they’re violating another law by doing that and trust me. I have better things to do than to answer a telemarketing phone call every time they call.
Desired outcome: Number one I want to call to stop. Number two if they don’t I’ll file a class action lawsuit.
Mutual of Omaha life insurance
This company is less than honest about when coverage starts. The salesman made a point of saying that when he received the policy number from Mutual of Omaha that the coverage began. He even circled Immediate Coverage - No waiting period on the work sheet. Sadly, my wife passed prior to making the first payment and Mutual of Omaha refuses to pay off. North American Senior Benefits has trained their representatives this way. I can’t get my wife back, but I can warn any prospects to BE CAREFUL dealing with this North American Senior Benefits. They cannot be trusted.
Desired outcome: Value of policy $10,000

Senior benefits company
I get anywhere from 20 to 40 calls a day from senior benefits. I have blocked their phone calls. I have put a complaint with the federal trade commission. I’ve even got with my phone company for them to block the their numbers. I’ve asked nice and I’ve asked them not so nicely I am at my wits end of what to do with this company if they bully me this bad, I can imagine what they do to a senior citizen, I’ve asked to remove my number and my number has been on the the federal do not call list since 2019. I don’t know what to do.
Desired outcome: The desired outcome is for them to quit calling. Someone needs to do something about this company.
Sales Calls - Robo Calls
I work for a CPA firm in Cincinnati. I get on average, 40 phone calls a day from Indians representing this company. They Americanize their names which is the first insult. They constantly talk over you to get their pitch in. I know now when I hear the "Beep", it's going to be one of them. I usually hang up right away. But, by that time, my work is interrupted. How can we get them to stop? It's from 7;30 in the morning until late at night (we work a lot of hours, especially during tax season). Is there anything that can be done?
Desired outcome: I want these calls to stop!!!
Only 40 calls? I'm jealous! They will never stop because there is zero institutional will to do anything meaningful about this.
constant phone calls
This firm continues to call me DAILY despite daily requests asking them to stop calling me. they continue this harassment with the excuse they aren't trying to sell me something. Every day for months, no breaks, I'm going to sue them.
Desired outcome: an apology and cease the harassment
State-Regulated Life Insurance Program for Seniors (50-85)
My Uncle and I each received a solicitation letter from American Senior Benefits that implied that signing up for their program would give you benefits that would pay for your funeral expenses so that your family isn't burdened with that expense. It is clearly worded in a deceiving manner to 1) make you think that it is MANDATED, even though the word they use is state-REGULATED, 2) think that this is an absolutely for-sure benefit due to you. The outer envelope was marked TIME SENSITIVE to make it seem this was an urgent, important matter.
Desired outcome: Get them to stop sending out these misleading letters!
Unethical business - bullying seniors to buy insurance!
This is the company that is behind the check! They have complaints from seniors where they were bullied in their own homes to buy insurance from them. YOu can't get any lower that!

Medicare supplement scare tactics
I have received over 20 calls from current clients that have stated agents from American Senior Benefits have knocked on their doors, entered their house and used scare tactics & coerced them into changing Medicare supplement plans because "their Plan F is going away and they need to change". This is 100% false. My clients then attempted to cancel and get their money back and were unsuccessful. Some even had to call the law enforcement in order to get their money back. Very unprofessional and scary for Seniors here in NE.
Yep get them to cancel your Medicare Supplement. They say they send cancellation notices call etc and then get rude with emails. And still nothing! Nothing after 40 days Off to the State Insurance office
Medicare supplement
I sold a Medicare Supplement for a company for which my appointment was active because American Senior Benefits did not notify my resignation that happened over 2 years ago. Now American Senior Benefits is retaining my commissions for the sale I made and I am not getting paid. ASB did not notify my resignation to the insurance company and because of their mistake they keep my money.
Agent fred goodnight indianapolis area
My parents and my sister and I have met with Fred Goodnight on several occasions since early spring. He lead us to believe that he was selling them medical insurance and saving them thousands of dollars each year beginning in January 2018. He also said he could gets their prescriptions through another plan and save hundreds of dollars every month.
When we stated catching him in lies he refused to talk to us. He would answer phone calls and didn't return messages. We tried tenting him and he would respond to that either. We were lead to be that both parents had been approved for insurance. And that the policies and insurance cards were in the mail. Which wasn't true. This lie was told for months he said he delayed the effective date to the next month to allow time for policies and cards to arrive. Nothing ever came to their home. He lied many times and then he stopped communicating with us.
Finally, I remembered Thanksgiving week, there was a lady with him in the first couple of visits and she had given me her card. I called her in a frantic wanting answers because it time was running out. Almost December and we still didn't have proof of medical insurance for my parents.
The lady is Nalini M. Koyani. It was Monday night so I left her a message. She called me back. I tried explaining the situation to her and she said she was the agent assigned to my dad. And she would get answers and call me back. Next day she said that neither of them were approved or insured. She would try to get my dad approved but could not for my mom. We were in panic mode and worried about the insurance. Apparently Fred just stopped working on their insurance policies and didn't tell us about that. Now panic and anger is stressing all of us out. A couple of days later she said Mom hadn't been approved but dad's case was waiting on a phone call. She eventually got Dad approved but they took over $200.00 out of their banking account immediately. Didn't know that till she called and told me. My parents do not trust her or Fred and they want their money returned. When I told her that she said they have to write a letter saying that don't want that insurance. She told me this today. I ask for a phone number where I could call... hours later she gave me a toll free number [protected]. I have called because it is after hours. I am writing for a full refund for my parents. We are truly blessed that their old insurance was NEVER canceled although Fred said he had canceled it.
Check scam
This company mails seniors a $5.00 check stating that they can cash it and will be receiving information later about enrolling with them as a Medicare supplement. The $5.00 check BOUNCED and my bank not only deducted the $5.00 out of my account but charged me with a return check fee! Nothing but an outright SCAM preying on seniors!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
A saleman for NASB came to my door selling insurance. Being a senior citizen I bought a policy for
about 2 months ago A salesman named Blake Naylor came to my door selling insurance. Being a senior citizen I bought one for $5000 and the payment was $38.00+. I called him and left a message to cancel the policy and refund my money, well he did neither now 2 payments have come out of my checking account and I can't afford this. How do I get my money back and the policy cancelled.

SCAM, SCAM SCAM
NASB is not A+ with BBB and has so many complaints and the law is trying to find them. Their address is not real. I hope to run across the salesman that conned my mom, because believe me after I am done with him, being in jail will sound like paradise to him.
SCAM SCAM SCAM
I cashed the check, it seems to be legit.
But a few weeks later this woman bangs on my door, trying to give me free materials.
She was rude, didn't state her name or company and she was not wearing a mask.
If I hadn't seen the copy of the cashed check I wouldn't have known who she was.
She got really obnoxious when I said that I wasn't interested.
This harassment should come with a bigger check.
I cashed the check. It seems to be legit.
But a few weeks later this woman bangs on my door, trying to give me material for free benefits.
She was rude and did not wear a mask. She got even ruder when I said I wasn't interested.
They should send bigger checks if harrassment comes with it.
My mother just had someone from this company show up unannounced at our door. She called me to find out what her phone number was because he said he needed it. I told her that she was not to sign anything and that he was to leave the house immediately. My mother is 83 years old and her mind is getting bad. I make all financial decisions for her now, so this company will be getting a call from me, telling them what I think of their tactics and if they show up again, I will have them charged with trespassing.

NASB bullies seniors in their own homes to buy insurance. Apparently my mother sent something in to this company because she wanted information about their Insurance policies. BIG mistake. She thought she would just receive something in the mail or maybe a phone call with more information. Instead she got a man (Kevin P. Young) who shows up at her doorstep unannounced. My mother is in a wheelchair and normally does not let salesmen inside. He literally pushed himself in the door.. not even giving her a chance to let him in (which she wouldn't have because she never does.)
I was present to witness this horrible encounter. My mother listened to him patiently even while he talked her ear off about his own insignificant personal matters. She even looked at his pictures he wanted to show her on his phone of strangers. He was very relentless and pushy with his approach and sales pitch.. My mother said she wanted to "Think it over.." And he proceeded to really get aggressive with the badgering. "How long are you gonna think about it.. you could die tomorrow..." That whole spiel to try to guilt-trip her. He pulled out all the stops.
But things really took a turn for the worse when he said to me "So what are you going to do when your mother dies, burn her up and put her in an ashtray or a coffee can?" Then he begins to snicker and get more abusive and disrespectful in his language. At this point i told him to get out before i had to make a phone call to remove him from the premises. We have never been spoke to or disrespected that way in our own home. My mother was in tears and very upset when this man left.
He was VERY disrespectful, rude and arrogant the entire time. Unprofessional and i can't believe this company has someone working for them who would make these kind of sickening remarks to potential customers. Do they teach all their Coordinators to belittle and bully people into signing your Life insurance policies?
This is absolutely the worst experience I have encountered and I believe this man needs to face some repercussions for his words and actions. He also bragged about this companies reputation with the BBB.. Yet all i have read are BAD reviews all over the web. I believe this is a scam company and i would NOT trust them.. especially with the kind of people they have representing them. It's disgusting.
This salesman sunk to a new low. The way he speaks to customers and his attitude is the POOREST I have seen. I was one step away from calling the Law as he didn't want to leave but when i got him to leave he said "I don't care, I'll make $3000 today." That is the kind of low class coordinators they have working for them in the Ohio area, I just thought everyone should know and BEWARE giving your information or even inquiring about policies from this company.
You are better off going with a well-known bigger life insurance company these guys don't even have reputable contact phone number for management, so what do you think will happen if you encounter a problem? You won't be able to get in contact with anyone. Taking a chance with this company is a high risk i would never take.
The check is not a SCAM! I USED TO WORK FOR NORTH AMERICAN SENIOR BENEFITS FOR OVER TWO YEARS & THE CHECK IS "GOOD"! If your account bounced, it wasnt over the $5.00 NASB I can promise you that! The co is A+ Rated with BBB & AS BEEN THE A+RATING WITH AM BEST! North American Senior Benefits Specializes in final expense life insurance programs at a state-regulated minimum. North American Senior Benefits is a multi-million dollar Imo that sends out $5 checks in the mail as a way of informing residents in the state of benefits that they can qualify for. If you cash the check or deposit it into your bank account you will agree to have an agent bring that information to you it's free!
What #### ever. Quit trying to make it sound to good to be true. Your probably just a fraud like Trump.
Haha, she may not work for them anymore, but I work for them now. It's actually a legit company that really helps seniors. There is a letter that comes with the $5 check that explains that if the check is cashed that someone will be giving them free information about the different kinds of final expense insurance and which companies are good and which ones should be avoided and why. There are lots of people out there without bank accounts, and very few final expense companies will put up with money orders or cash payments, all the good ones use secure electronic transfers so that if the client gets sick and is stuck in the hospital, the bill can be automatically paid and the insurance will stay in effect. The $5 check is just a way of telling NASB that the client has an active bank account and will have more opportunities open to them. NASB is not interested in scamming people for $5. We are an A+ rated company with the BBB.
I work for them. The check is legit. Although I’m soon to advise against it because I believe we are losing more than profiting by mailing the checks, the checks are 100% real and live. North American Senior Benefits has done over $30 million in revenue since its inception in 2012. I assure you the check didn’t “bounce”. Lol
Like trump? Hahaha! You must mean like the fraud dossier from killery!
Well I'm not even 50 yet. Won't be until November. They sent me a check for 5.00 to my sister address. Guess I'll cash it at my local grocery store 😂😂😂 Dare them to come a knocking at my door. I'm Truly a rude mean [censored].
Non payment of wages
This sounds like such a familiar story! I had the same panel type interview after I had "passed" the phone interview and the Vice President was impressed with my resume. They lead you to believe that they will pay for all the training and training material and licensing... NOT TRUE. The course is 3 days and costs 235.00, then the State Test is 40.00 every time you take it. And no one ever passes the first time because what is on the test is not what is in the study material or online practice tests. I was told I'd have full health benefits, a 40 hour work week and 1 Saturday a month for training for a few hours. In reality the days were 12-13 hours long, If I wanted any benefits, I'd have to go find them myself, and after a few home visits to clients, I was told that I'd be with a trainer for two weeks, then I'd be out on my own, this was after being told several times that they never send anyone to a clients home alone for safety/security reasons. Then they nickel and dime you to death with all these additional fees for various things that you "need" for the job. So all in all I spent over 500.00 for this training and received NOTHING in return!
They are refusing to pay me anything stating that I never worked for them, that I was a "private contractor." So I'm going to have to file a complaint with the Michigan Labor Board... what a hassle. I know this scam can't be legal, and what a thing to do to someone desperate for employment.
I joined American Senior Association (ASA) and my membership last year but i refused to renew because if you read between the lines they are no different than AARP.. Their towing company http://bestroadside.com/amember/member.php only tows to a repair facility in their 75 mile towing promise. Well unless you are traveling, you may not want a repair facility...just towed to your house. AAA has the best plan and I wonder what the executives are making at ASA?
American Senior Benefits - Job scam
I am so disgusted with companies today taking advantage of so many unemployed individuals looking desperately for a job. The latest scam I have unraveled is American Senior Benefits. I was interviewed years back by Bankers Life and Casualty, who sit you down in a room with several people, make it feel like you are singled out and then "selected" for a...
