My name is Susan and my partner Leon Duncan booked the Millstone Country Inn for our 2 yr anniversary as a surprise for myself. He told me a few days before that he had booked, and had not received confirmation email as stated on your site. I rang Millstone and they advised me no booking had been made although the money had already debited Leons bank account. I then rang Agoda where I was assured that there was a reservation and that everything was fine. I went to Millstone as planned on Friday 18 April to be told there was no reservation and they had been fully booked for at least the last month....

agoda often say in their hotel advert `only 2 rooms left` but this is often a complete lie..
the hotels i have looked at had many rooms left..their prices are also inaccurate as its
often cheaper to go direct to the hotel..you cant trust them..they are not interested in any
complaint yop have about the hotel..i have made reviews with a poor rating but was never
able to find my review..i have also complained about hotel staff but again agoda did nothing
quite the opposite to other companies like booking.com..you get instant emails response
and refunds if...

Agoda - Bait-and-Switch

Agoda cheats its customers by posting attractive room rates, you book it, then they abruptly cancel it citing some error and try to direct you to one of their partner hotels. They refuse to honor the room rate and take no responsibility. This is the old bait-and-switch to lure customers then send them somewhere else....

This relates to a booking Agoda took for the Nora Beach Resort and Spa, Koh Samui, Thailand - this is my trip advisor post
.We found this resort after weeks and weeks of searching around for the best options and amenities that suited our tastes - this was our first trip to Thailand. We had booked and paid in full (non refundable) through Agoda, we were due to stay in a Beach Front Chalet. We had chosen something special as it was our 15th wedding anniversary. When we arrived the resort told us that there had been a double booking error which was very upsetting, we hold Agoda completely responsible...

I booked a room at a hotel in Olongapo city through Agoda. I was given a conformation number. Upon arrival on designated date and place, the management had no knowledge of my reservation. They were fully booked and could not accommodate me.
They let me use their internet and.we saw where Agoda charged my credit card for the
days had reserved.. The management was very apologetic but the situation was beyond their control. They promised that they would cancel any future bookings in my name.
I lost out .. I will continue to recover my loss through my bank/credit card account...

Agoda - Agoda points

A very misleading product offer with Agoda rewards.
The 'about Agoda rewards' section on their website talks about how you can get money off future bookings based on points from previous bookings.

This is not the whole truth. You can only claim the points against specific Agoda classified hotels. There is no way to identify if a hotel is eligible until you go to the booking page. Has taken me 7 emails to get this answer.
In addition, telephone customer service doesn't work (does not recognise my booking reference), and customer care staff seem very poorly...

I made a booking with Agoda for a motel in Wanganui. When I arrived the motel said they were fully booked and had told Agoda they couldn't take the booking but we were not advised. Tried to get a refund out of Agoda several times via their website contact to no avail. NEVER USE THEM....

I had book a premier deluxe room from agoda, after I had made payment they email to inform that the premier deluxe room is under renovation, and they suggested I downgrade to deluxe room instead. So, I ask for a refund from the different. What I check from agoda website the different between premier deluxe room and deluxe room is USD 20+, in the end they refund only USD 3+. I felt cheated . This is not the first time I book from them, but this will definitely be my last time. They got the worst service I ever book online . They only do their business without service !...

Agoda - Room booking cancelled

We arrived at our hotel to find that one of the rooms in our reservation that was made well in advance had been cancelled the same morning by Agoda and given to someone else. We found ourselves having to find a room at 10pm for one person in our party, and ferrying back and forth between the hotels (not close to one another). After almost one month of emails, they are now refunding the cheapest room (which we occupied, and was not the room cancelled). They also refuse to respond to our requests that they reimburse the difference between the room we booked, and the room we had to find last minute....

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I recently booked and paid for two nights accommodation in Xiamen, China.

Agoda, randomly cancelled my booking 36 hours before I arrived. I called an international number, waited for 10 minutes to speak to a Manager and then they hang up on me.

Called back immediately, asked to speak to Manager and was put on hold for 25 minutes. It cost me approximately $US 1 per minute.

I sent 3 emails and no reply.

Agoda has not refunded my money.

Please, please use a different company....

Agoda - Unconsiderate and Bad Customer Service

Agoda has very bad customer service! A system error occurred during the booking and they inputted a wrong lead guest name. I tried to contact them for a refund yet told me that as per hotel policy my hotel cant give me a refund. I personally think that the hotel doesnt have any obligation to give me a refund because it is not their fault but the agoda's website fault. So technically agoda is the one responsible for giving me a refund.. they told me that they cant and i should even send then a screen shot of the error. What the heck?! if in the first place I knew that there will be an error...

Agoda - Ripping of the locals in Laos

I stayed in a guesthouse in Laos, I need to extend my booking so spoke to the lady who owned the place
She said that Agoda had only paid her $15 when I paid Agoda $25 per night for a single room
This is completely against what they say in terms of commission and this is not legal!!

I am so glad I found this sight, as I did send an email to Agoda and OF COURSE I did NOT receive anything back in response
Wish i had seen all these complaints previously, I would never have spent the hundreds of dollars that I had spent with them over the years, of course I will NEVER...

I've been complaining about mymrefund but it's been a month yet and nothing happened. Everytime i call them, they keep saying check your banks after 7 working days. Then recently i spoke to a very rude call centre agent. I've been professional in dealing with the matter but she eas isnsitent and stroppy that they've already refunded it. She even let me wait for long time, when she came back and found that refund has not been made yet, she started being nice....

I needed to spend the night of 8/6 in HK, and my departure flight was 10AM.

My reservation with another hotel (Regal) was not processed through, so past midnight -- after 0:00 I was still trying to book a hotel through Agoda. Since after 0:00 it was already Aug 7, I couldn't select Aug 6 for check-in, so I selected Aug 7, and selected 1 night for Novotel Citygate Hong Kong Hotel. The Agoda system booked me for two nights instead of 1 night.

Until today, Agoda hasn't been able to resolve this -- my email didn't get responded in time, and for more than...

I have booked the room as per below reference No.33535926 in under refundable in case any cancel 21st August to 25th August and after three days i have ammended the same booking from 20th August to 25th Agust. I have just ammend the date only not other conditions of booking. Now My trup was postponed due to official reason. Booked a superior room including breakfast for 4 days with them and they advertised it is for 2 adults and 1 child below 12 years old but on the Hotel voucher it shown that the maximum occupancy for the room is for 1 adult only and there is only 1 breakfast.
Checked with their Customer service and was told that if I want to accommodate 2 adults and 2 breakfast I have top up abt US$60 to change to a superior family. I told them another website is offering 2 adults stay and including 2 breakfast for the same booking (same room type, staying dates, policy), they said their price are advertised...

We booked a 3 week holiday in Spain France UK and Switzerland all with Agoda Hotels.
17 nights in total. We made a mistake on of the bookings by double booking dates. I emailed Agoda to ask them to change to the right dates (2 days diff). They said hotel was full for the day we wanted. They told me cancel the booking and book another hotel. I did. When I went to rebook the orgial hotel was available for the dates we wanted!!!
THEY LIED TO US. Only after I cancelled did they tell me I would loose the full $365!!!
I was really upset. They blamed Crown Plaza in Oxford for the cancellation....

Agoda customer Orientation is pathetic. I booked the "abba Rambla Hotel" in Barcelona on 31st May for 7th July to 9th July accidentally. Booking ID was 31283260. My actual travel dates to Barcelona were from 7th June to 9th June. When I reached the "abba Rambla Hotel" and tried to check-in, thats when I realized that I had made the wrong bookings. I spoke with the manager and servicign executive "Eva" there and asked them if the same can be adjusted/cancelled. As they were full on the said date they said they can not accomodate me but will be more than happy to cancel...

This is with reference to the booking of a room through your portal in hotel Hotel The Himalayan View Retreat Nainital/India on dated Arrival: 8 June, 2013 and Departure: 9 June, 2013...bill/Booking Id: 31634715 for which I had paid Rs.7695.70 in advance.

To my surprise when I reached the hotel, the hotel representative told me that no room was booked for me and even they had not any information regarding the same. Therefore I had to made all the arrangements at my own.

Customer service department refunded twice a cancelled booking, but then also debited three times the booking amount, thus making me out of pocket for over $2, 000.00 The customer service department does not read the emails (15-20 this week alone) with the requested credit card statements attached and blames the tardiness of the Hotel in not confirming the refund when it was refunded in April by Agoda. Any-one else have this problem with them?...
