So I've been using AdultFriendFinder for a while now and I gotta say, there's a fair share of scammers and fakes on the site. It's kinda frustrating. You got a bunch of profiles that are clearly from African romance scammers. They use these profile pics that are a dead giveaway and they're always on about finding love or some scam where they need money to come visit you. It's not just from Africa though, you get the same kinda scams from Russia and other Eastern European countries too.

Then there's the fake profiles that might even be made by the site owners, which is pretty shady if you ask me. I've seen profiles like "laurencan4u", "ilikeballs", "11blacknthick", and "priest926" that just don't seem legit. The first three sound like they were written by the same person, all with the same bad spelling. Maybe it's a way for the site to make more money? And that last one, "priest926", is just full of porn pics that obviously weren't taken by the person who made the profile.

You also run into some women on the site who seem a bit off, mentally. I try to be nice to them though, 'cause you never know what they've been through.

But I gotta be honest, you can actually find real people on here looking for sex. I've chatted with like 20 women and met up with about 7 or 8 of them. My experience is mostly in North America and Europe. Not all the meetups worked out 'cause of distance and stuff. I've even made some good friends on the site.

Most of the women I met in Europe were clean, thankfully, but I can't say the same for the US right now with the whole opioid crisis going on.

I've also noticed that some of the American women I met were getting hit on by married men, which is just not cool. If you gotta lie to your spouse, why are you even married, right?

One thing to keep in mind is that women on the site get bombarded with messages from guys. The ratio of women to men is definitely skewed.

There are lots of couples on AFF too, usually looking for an extra guy to join them.

I'm giving the site a middle-of-the-road rating because even though you can find real people, there's still a lot of fakes and scams to wade through.

Just to wrap this up, my review is based on my own experiences, not like some of those fake reviews you see around. These are my honest takes on the site.

They stole my profile and my photos ( I'm a young woman) and then told me In my email I need to send my ID for verification and pose infront of it like excuse me ? Why?! I was using it for free and actually was getting alot of messages I did nothing wrong they are definitely selling info do not trust it I'm so disgusted and ashamed I even allowed myself on that kind of site and uploaded photos so not discreet!

1. I have emailed AFF twice trying to get instructions on how to delete this photo but keep getting instructions on how to delete it from my profile -- after I've explained that this photo is NOT on my profile! It was sent to individuals via messaging.

2. On this photo of my bare breasts, it is visible for everyone to see, THERE IS NO "NAUGHTY PHOTO" covering up my bare breasts like there would be if it were a bare penis. The photo is visible to everyone AND I WANT IT REMOVED OR COVERED UP WITH A NAUGHTY PHOTO.

3. I have tried to explain this to your online customer support, but THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. They lack any knowledge of how to handle my issue!

After failing repeatedly on both ends to renew membership by paying with a wal mart visa, I bought a Best Buy gift card for $, the exact amount for annual membership. I inputted the card information and submitted it. It went through and said I had only 97 days membership. I called customer service to cancel the transaction, complain or have it fixed and made a one year membership. I got nowhere.

So last month I was charged twice, once for 24.99 and again for 27.99, I emailed and tried to call but number wasn't valid, imagine that. So I can't log in to the site which I have not been on in 6 months to cancel my subscription so I emailed them begging them to cancel my profile and everything associated with me. So a day ago guess what was on my bank stayement...yep, same charges, same day and I have not been on their website for even a second! What do I have to do to get them to stop charging me? Cancel my card? Pray for an act of God?

rocco82000. All of the pictures are of me, his ex-wife since 2007. He is violating your agreement and violating my right to privacy and is using these pictures unlawfully. According to Virginia's law, it is illegal to intentionally inflict emotional distress and that is currently happening. This has been reported to the police department and warrants will be served for each picture. All of the images uploaded by Mr. Wagenbrenner are violations. Please do your due- diligence and remove them from your website. The law in violation is Virginia Code 18.2-386.2 and the penalty is a class 1 misdemeanor. The city is serving warrants for all 8 of the pictures on his profile.

I purchased a Gold Membership on August 5th 2023. The charge was approved and my account was debited the associated fee.

I had access to the site for less than 24 hours. My credentials stopped working and I received no information regarding the issue. When I call AFF they tell me that someone from their fraud department will call me back. I have received no such call and my membership was only 30 days. Every minute I am denied access costs me decent money per ratio.

My roommate tried to buy 500 points for me on my acct June 16th (my birthday), it initially approved before being flagged by fraud causing my acct to be put on hold, support said someone from fraud would call me but they didn't, when I called back, the guy from fraud was VERY rude to me, kept interrupting me, told me to shut my mouth and listen when I tried explaining the reason for my call and I expected the hold to be lifted after speaking to him but he apparently didn't even do that. I signed up and paid for 3 months and all I get is requests for more money! The first thing I tried was to add someone as a friend, but only received an upgrade request for $100+! I immediately canceled my membership. I called and was promised a partial refund even though I have received absolutely nothing from them! No contacts whatsoever from anyone. Very disappointing!

I paid for 3 weeks of gold on the aff website with a gift card on 4/20/23 and received a confirmation email at 1247 pm from the website. I paid for gold membership and my log in credentials immediately stopped working. I tried to reset my password and it says my account doesn’t exist. I upgraded from my free account so it seems that I was scammed and as soon as I upgraded they locked me out and kept my money. I will be charging it back and reporting this to the feds.

Interestingly when I went to submit this it said it was too short and would likely not receive any attention. It suggested I attach bills, statements, etc. Yes…I bet you would like that information.

Massive scam, fake profiles.

Ask for a refund two hours after paying membership.

They're obliged by law to accept a refund during the first 72h. Again, I asked for it after just 2h.

Their first response took almost 24h, trying to delay the refund frame.

Customer service (Liezel D.) neglected the refund three times, denying existing law and claiming that my membership doesn't accept refunds.

The way to trick you is that you have to pay first to see other profiles, so you don't know they're fake unless you have paid.

My ex-husband is impersonating me and has created a fake profile on your website. He is using the name "Kittykatlioness" 41F Sydney.

He has messaged random men pretending to be me, and giving out my personal address. Men have arrived at the house expecting to meet me and expecting something that i have not consented to.

The random men turning up is extremely stressful and fearful, and i am very afraid for my mother's and mine well-being and safety.

i have reported the matter to the local police and to the eSafety Commissioner.

Well I went and signed up for the upgraded version instead of the free version and I don't like it much less I'm still having issues with the stalker that I had on your from a year ago and I've emailed them and I've told them this and they keep telling me they cannot issue me a refund which is really funny because they did last year when I had a different account

YOu are billing me twice for the same account and I want the $24 charge removed. I thought you were offering me the $24 charge as a discount from the original $27 charge. I am OK with the original $27 charge, but I want the $24 charge removed, or I will call my bank and have them remove all of the charges.
