Boat Angel Outreach Center A boat that was for sale with Washington title but incorrect hull ID number

I succesfully bid on and won for a 1972 Fiberform 28 ft boat with a Washington Title. Upon receiving the notice as a winner I researched the hull ID as posted only to find out it was not a Fiberform boat, as listed, but some other homemade boat from Washington State. I call Boat Angels to verify is this was correct and was told that I was being blocked for non payment. I told them that if the boat was indeed a Fiberform as they had listed, I would have gone a head with the sale...

This is not what a so called Christian organization does !

Desired outcome: I would like to be unblocked so as to help with other purchases in the future

Boat Angel Outreach Center Bidding

I have noticed a trend with the bidding process and boat Angel. While they get the boats for free, I believe they rig the bidding process. First they can't place a minimum price on a charity boat, so what they do is put in a false bid on the boat as it reaches the time limit, and then they claim that the purchaser defaulted on the price. This has become obvious because instead of completing the sale with the next highest bidder and completing the auction item, they instead begin the auction all over, with the hope of getting a higher price. Point in fact... there is an active auction for a 1986 Silverstar 48' Aft Cockpit Motor Yacht - Twin Diesel - Florida. The default bidder was (f*4) with a bid entered at 1:59:55 on October 8th in the amount of $9, 777.00. My bid (onetimetraveler2010) was entered at exactly 2:00, the end time of the auction for $9, 677.00. They never contacted me, but instead waited two weeks to relist the item. I do not state these allegations lightly because their percentage of defaults is higher than any normal average. I have seen this a number of times on large bid items over the recent weeks. Now whether Ebay is looking the other way in the interest of getting a higher percentage or ignoring it because they are a charity is uncertain, but something is definitely wrong here. I have printouts of the latest bidding process. Also when you call to ask question about a boat, you find rude people with smart [censored] remarks about the boats. I also believe that to disavow earnest bidders to obtain more money is criminal. And I believe they need to answer to this allegations.

I agree with the Bidders comment regarding Boat Angels bidding process.

I have found on numerous occasions, that though no reserve price has been set, Boat Angels will relist a donated boat based on there opinion the boat was worth more then the winning bid.

In addition to not allowing the bidder to inspect the vessel prior to purchase, sales are not completed by the bidder due to extensive repairs required that were not described by the party donating the boat.

Finally, it appears that in many cases, Boat Angel is acting more in the capacity of a consignment yard and not a charity.
