Aspen Dental Dentures

First things first, I came to Aspen Dental for help! I have a full upper dental plate and two molars left and right which secured the denture, I had only one tooth on the bottom which was broken and I could not chew anymore. I was a mess.

I am a 75 year old veteran seeking help , The Veterans Administration does not treat dental work unless you are 100% disabled I am only 50% living on Social security. I found myself needing dental work so I came to Aspen Dental Mount Pleasant SC 29466. I spoke with there manager Michael, he said he could help me. I showed him smiling upper teeth and explained he could match the teeth and the smile. I was able to get financing through Care Credit. $2800. Michael introduced me to one of your dentists. I asked him could he duplicate the same look smile. He absolutely said to me he could and even better! Now he showed me some sample teeth color, size gum variations and explained to me these would be my temporary dentures and would need to ware them for 10 to 12 weeks to allow my gums to heal..

Now the problem ! I came back to Aspen Dental for the final dentures and have new cast of my jaw for the new dentures . NO Dr. Ioulo (noy sure of the spelling) and manager Lauren explained the dentures I was wearing were my actual dentures. I tried to explain that this was not, and the final dentures were to be as the ones I had. So they continued to explain that was the finished product .

Today I called 09/14/2022 spoke with Lauren explained my problem with the shifting, biting ,off center, falling out of mouth when chewing. Her answer to this was she has no technician to fix the problem so she gave me a phone number to call for an appointment in Aspen in Charleston for a fitting.

Now I am beyond myself I came to Aspen Dental for help! now instead I walk around literarily with my dentures falling out of my mouth when I try to eat and covering my mouth when I meet and greet someone because even my smile is gone because the dentures are to small and don't show as they did before. What a mess

Desired outcome: I wish to have some from Aspen Dental to analyze and correct this horrible mess I an so humiliated that a company could do so wrong by hurting a 75 year old man, Veteran needing help.

Aspen Dental Dishonest business

Aspen Dental Midland, MI.

9/12/2022

I went in to have my teeth checked and discuss a plan to fix them. they gave me a treatment plan and a price. I agreed to the price and set an appointment.

2 days later they called me and said they will not honor that price, that they want an additional $859.80. By the end of the call they still refused to honor their agreement.

Desired outcome: I do not trust them at this point, I just want to warn others so they don't fall into the same scam.

Aspen Dental Tooth transplant & cleaning

DO NOT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL ! First of all they have Terrible customer service. I had gone for a consultation for some dental work and I explained that I asked them if they’d be able to do a tooth transplant, as I had a missing tooth. They told me they were able to do it with no issues. The day came to do the procedure, they gave me a consent form to sign and hadn’t explained the possible complications until right before the procedure. I decided not to go through with the procedure as the possible complications were excessive . As soon as, I stated I wanted to cancel the procedure I got an attitude. Prior to this transplant procedure I got a cleaning done and was charged 1,760 for A REGULAR CLEANING! They had claimed this was a “deep cleaning” but, I have gotten many cleanings throughout my life time that were much better than this one! Do not waste you time or money coming here!

Desired outcome: For people to know to avoid this place at all costs!

Aspen Dental Bad denture

To whom it may concern:

I am Wendell McMillan a former patient of

Aspen Dental Huntsville Al.

925 Bob Wallace Ave. SW STE 30

Huntsville Al. 35801

I began treatment with Aspen Dental Huntsville on December 1, 2021 and had

my last visit on August 16, 2022. On this date they attempted to fit me with an upper denture. I told them at that time that the denture was hurting my gum. I have tried to wear the denture but it hurts and I cannot eat with it.

I hereby request a partial refund so I can find another dentist who can fit me with a denture that is comfortable.

Desired outcome: I would a partial refund. The denture is of no use to me.

Aspen Dental They Took the Wrong Tooth

I went into their Beckley office and they took the wrong tooth and tried to blame it on ME. They pulled the first instead of the second one and stick to that story entirely. I have disputed the payment and plan on getting a lawyer if I have to.

This was on 9/9/2022 at 8 am -- it was my first and last appointment. They wouldn't even pull the right tooth either. They said I'd have to make an appointment and come back.

I will never be coming back!

Desired outcome: I think they should pull the right tooth free of charge.

Aspen Dental New dentures not fitting right.

GUARANTEED! New dentures are to big, painful to keep in my mouth….I need LOTS of adhesive and that only lasts about 2hours before the dentures are bouncing around and falling out of my mouth. This has been going on since last December (2021). All I get is adjustment appointments and I’m told to use more adhesive. The tube says use only once a day (zinc) FOR ILL FITTING DENTURES These people evidently can’t read and have NO medical training at all

Desired outcome: They need to honor their money back guarantee I really don’t want a big hassle over this. Just do what you have advertised. Please refund.

Aspen Dental Morristown,Tenn ; Rude & unprofessional

[protected] @ 8;17amest

in my personal experience , Rude unprofessional staff, and this business does not care even a little bit about their customers. I was in severe pain and was literally 2 minutes late for my appointment and they refused to treat me . I personally sat and waited 30 minutes past my appointment time a few years ago and they never said sorry about my wait , etc.. but they can refuse treatment on a regular customer for 2 minutes ... I stated I was sorry because I had to run back home and get the names of my blood pressure medicine because they requested a list of any medication I was taking . I would never ever ever ever ever ever recommend this place to anyone not even someone I did not like .. stay away & go somewhere else within the region , you will be happier, save money, and you will be treated as a valued customer not a dollar amount !

Aspen Dental Overall office

Went for first visit. Everything was fine. Went to second visit. NO DOCTOR. I paid over 11,000.00 up front for pulling seven teeth upper and lower denture and 2 implants. Talked to office manager. She said I would get impressions and lower teeth pulled this week. She Alison told me my implants would be done after my gums would heel in 5 weeks and implants would’ve placed. Lie lie lie about everything. After I paid all my money I found out that it will be 6 months after teeth are pulled to get implants. I want a refund. No one knows what is going on. Now the tell me they are going under another aspen dental in another town that is 70 miles away. I have tried to call business manager several times but she will not talk to me. Rip off! This office is in Crestview FL WHICH IS ONLY 25miles away. Can’t afford gas to go 70 miles. REFUND REFUND REFUND!

Desired outcome: I WANT A REFUND!!!!!!

Aspen Dental Service is awful, but billing statements way ahead of services done

I had recent teeth extracted and dentures added, (and I can't even wear bottom plate). Due to the pieces of tooth they left in gums. It has caused horrible pain, every time I tell them they make an appointment, then cancel it an hour before I get there every time. They continue to deny seeing me about this problem, and won't make an adjustments, but want me to pay the bill. They told me I would not have to go without teeth, but have NOT been able to wear bottom plate at all for 8 weeks now, how embarrassing. I'm gonna consult a lawyer

Aspen Dental Booked Consult and Cleaning Appt, but received just a Treatment Plan

On Monday, August 15th, I booked a cleaning online for my daughter and myself for Monday, August 22nd. I was super excited to get such a quick appt. I received an email confirmation of the time of our cleaning. I even called the next day to confirm that my online appts were good to go for our cleanings. I was told yes and that an office manager will call us with specific instructions. That never happened. We filled out the "new patient forms" and brought them with us on the day of our appt. We arrive 15-20 mins early (per their request). We checked in and they brought us back for x-rays. After x-rays, we were brought into exam rooms where we were told the hygienist would be with us shortly. After 20 mins, we were examined and told we both had a severe case of gingivitis and that we would need a "deep irrigation" cleaning, special rinses and pastes to get rid of it. Not surprising with my daughter who has had previous issues, but totally surprising for me since I have always had great teeth and gums. Then the dentist comes in to tell me that she recommends I get a bridge and that a wisdom tooth probably needs to come out. Yep, I say that the wisdom tooth has been coming in for over 3 years and hasn't really bothered me. Neither has the missing tooth (it has been 14 years since it was pulled). She says ok, but will refer me to an oral surgeon if I change my mind. I told her thanks! We are then left to wait for another 20 mins or so. Finally, they bring us into a room to discuss how we are going to pay for our treatment plans. I asked what she meant and that we are here for a cleaning and that any other treatments we can discuss at a later time. She states that is not how they do it here and proceeds to tell me that my daughter's treatment plan will be $700+ and I would need $1500+ to get my full treatment done. Wait...What?!? When I asked to see a breakdown, I saw electric toothbrushes, mouthwash treatments, special toothpaste, bridge/crown, and special "irrigation cleaning" for both of us. All of which ARE NOT COVERED UNDER INSURANCE. I said I do not want any of that other stuff. Get my daughter her "special irrigation cleaning" and wash/rinse which I will pay out of pocket for, and I want a regular free cleaning for myself. So, she proceeds to set up the appt with my daughter. It is obviously now that neither of us are getting our teeth cleaned today - which is so frustrating when you take off work and drive 20 miles. She then printed out my "treatment plan" and handed it to me. I said what about scheduling my cleaning? She said well that is the treatment plan, so let us know when you are ready to begin it. I tried to call their office today to schedule a regular cleaning - that I am entitled to with my insurance every 6 months. I was immediately transferred to the office manager. When I stated I wanted to set up my free cleaning, I was again told they will not do a simple cleaning because they think I need the irrigation and all the other items. I do not want their "special cleaning". They already filed a claim with my dental insurance and did NOT do the cleaning, so now I will have to wait until after the first of the year to be able to go get another check up (and a cleaning) with a new dentist.

Aspen Dental pushes an all or nothing plan. They claim to have the deepest discounts for insured individuals, but that doesn't matter when they won't do the basics that the insurance covers. This is a very shady business practice. STAY CLEAR!

Aspen Dental 4 months and still have no temporary dentures

I originally went to Aspen dental cortland ny...April 6 2023 I had 4 front teeth and 3 front bottom teeth,1 bottom right molar extracted. I was given temp. Partials that NEVER fit.. I was billed for 10 extractions...not 8 there were 2 upper right molars that hurt, had cavities and should have been pulled from the beginning yet the dentist never did...I don't know why...

The way the temp.partials were designed were never going to hold in my front part of my mouth...I kept being told by cortland that they would get a dentist soon...repeatedly...that they couldn't fix my partials til they had a dentist...just hang in there! In July I was then directed to go to ithaca aspen dental...I did...in. the meantime I was overbilled by cortland for $347... the regional manager...2 weeks later contacted me, tried to straighten out the bill...except for $25 and couldn't give me an answer as to why this was remaining on the bill..ithaca aspen met with me and said they agreed the partials made by cortland were never going to work out and agreed to make a different set of partials but want to extract 3 molars 2 upper left that should have been done in april..and 1 upper right...they charge double the amount per molar than cortland!,I have no pain or problem with the upper right molar and don't want that 1 extracted...Jason from ithaca called me today and said the lab tech already made my temp partials with the 3 molar extractions in mind...and would Not make any changes ..therefore being coerced to get all 3 extractions OR I can't get my partials.

I've already been 4 months with No front teeth! Yet aspen dental has not shown that they care about that, that the customer doesn't matter...you do what they say...period!by the way Jason in ithaca is rude ! I'm paying over 3k for financing for extractions and no closer to getting any teeth...temp partials or otherwise!

Desired outcome: Extract two upper left molars as I the customer prefers and give me the partials I'm already financing so I can have front teeth and smile again!!!! Isn't that what aspen dental advertises???? Your smile??? I haven't smiled in 4 months

Aspen Dental Root Canal and crown placement 04/23/2018

At the time of this appoinment a a crown was placed on the tooth in question. In 2020 this crown came off. I was never able to locate the crown . No idea where it ended up. I have zero confidence with returning. At the time I was uninsured and signed up for care credit. Based on their reccomendations I needed extensive work. GUM TREATMENTS, ROOT CANALS, ETC. I have numerous receipts and ridiculous sheets of papers with amounts and treatments that were never done. I ended up being sent to a creditor for financing (4,000) with Care Credit. Meanwhile the only thing they ever did was the root canal and crown thats missing! I am here today filing this complaint because I received a text from some sort of debt collector for 800.00 from Delta Dental. What could I owe outside of whay I currently pay to the creditor.Currently paying a different company for the amount financed. It was all added to that same bill?

Desired outcome: Send written explanation of what ever they have sent to National Recovery Agency. I am currently being pursued by them. I have not received any correspondence(Written or Verbal) from Delta Dental since 2018. If this is a true debt

Aspen Dental Dental partial

We purchased a partial from Aspen Dental for my husband in July of 2021 in Minnesota. The front tooth was never secure from the time he first got the partial. We spend the winter in Florida so the first we were able to see the dentist again was in June 2022. They repaired it but it was loose again and went back in July 2022. At that time, the dentist said that if it continued to be loose, he would have to sent it into the lab for repair. There was never any mention of it costing us anything at that time.

My husband got it back and in less than a month the tooth was loose again so we went in. At that time, they recommended that we spend $1900 for a brand new partial or they could send the existing partial into the lab for $331.

We feel that since the partial was never correct from the beginning, they should repair it at no cost or replace it.

Desired outcome: Repair at no cost or replace at their cost.

Aspen Dental My bottom dentures

In April 2020 I was fitted with top and bottom dentures. I received my permanent set on 6/9/20. I went back many times for adjustments. They never fit right from the beginning. I kept going back the people were very nice and tried to help me. I told them they still don’t fit right. So finally I gave up. Every time I eat I have to put more and more adhesive on them. I know people with bottom dentures that have no trouble. I really don’t want to hear well it’s been 2 years. I’ve been dealing with this for 2 years. I took a loan out for these dentures. They hurt they are uncomfortable and as soon as I get home I have to take them out. This is really a nightmare. I go out for supper with a tube of fixodent. I have to excuse myself to fix them. Like I said before I have friends with bottom dentures that don’t have any problems. I am very disappointed and hope you will help me. Thank you Judith Morin

Desired outcome: I think a new bottom denture would be appropriate. I would appreciate it. I will be waiting for your response. Thank you. 8/24/22

Aspen Dental Tooth replacement on denture

Went to Aspen Dental in Midland Michigan to have a front tooth replaced on my upper Plate. Three weeks later it fell out as I was watching TV. Went back to have it glued back in and was informed it would cost $105.00 to glue it back in. Dentist stated they do not guarantee on plates they have not made. This was not information supplied to me before I was charged $196.20. We will pay for the tooth. We should be refunded the $105.00 for glue. They do not backup their work.

Desired outcome: I would like $105.00 refunded.

Aspen Dental Dentures

I have been dealing with the worst service ever! I had my teeth pulled in March I received dentures that were way to big, they would break all the time and they would not listen to me when i said I needed help! When they finally gave me new ones they were horrible to the point I could not leave the office in them! Then I was removed from one office and sent to an office 45 mins from my house because enough was enough! I had some surgery they had already charged my insurance and that was July 19th! I have made three different appointment since then that they have canceled on me! I have had to miss work more times than I can count since march and now they canceled my new appointment and when I called i was told "you just want to see the doctor" I at that point said "no i just had surgery you would think he wants to see me" mind you the new teeth I have do not fit and they re hurting my real teeth! I at this point just want my money back! I can go somewhere else and deal with less stress!

Aspen Dental Fraud

In February of 2022 went to get assessment of teeth. Was told 15 surfaces needed to be filled and a root canal. Told them I can’t afford this work on a yearly basis and asked for dentures. They told me this type of work was normal at my age even with perfect oral hygiene practices. Got the work done and within 24 hours fillings were falling out. They told me it was due to “difficult surfaces to fill in the first place”. This caused excruciating pain. I got the root canal done and waited for a crown to see if the root canals alone would fix my problem like they said it would. It didn’t. I couldn’t have anything in my mouth including my tongue without extreme pain. They finally agreed to dentures after trying to sell me implants. They made faulty temporaries and refused to fix them until I threatened legal action. The denturist found the issue and said they wouldn’t work regardless of “fixes” and made a second pair that fit properly minus one side being off in the bite. The dentist and the denturist keep telling me dentures are not a solution, only implants will function and be made properly (or to my satisfaction). I am being told I will never have a quality of life as long as I have dentures, they refuse to fix poor work, and now they refuse to let me out of a contract they failed to have good faith in themselves as well as a product they promised they could deliver on and won’t or can’t because it is not implants. I was coerced into signing for credit with false information so they could get their money and now they have sent $500+ of a balance to THEIR pre-collections agency. They refuse to make the permanents until that balance is paid and they refuse to let me go to their other offices until is is paid yet I don’t have what I paid or will be finishing paying off.

Desired outcome: Money back
