Beware of "value" low term life premiums!
Why do I say that?
Term life insurance is not something to take lightly. While you shouldn't stress day and night about it, you should make sure you spend a good amount of time researching it and picking a great product.
Usually that means NOT going with the lowest of the term life premiums you are quoted!
Let's say you went to a car dealership, and start looking at two cars that look exactly the same on the outside. You become interested and ask the salesman the price of each car.
"That one is $20,000 and this one here is only $15,000!"
Doesn't that lower price seem a little suspicious considering that on the outside it looks like the exact same car?
What if you later found out that the body was made with a hard composite that is lighter but much less protective in the case of an accident?
Well, the same goes with your life insurance and picking it just by the term life premiums. Lower doesn't necessarily mean better!
So how do you protect yourself? The easiest answer is research!
1) Check out multiple life insurance web sites that gives you a quote
2) Compare different providers based on their reputation on forums, the Better Business Bureau, etc.
3) Call the top 3 providers you're interested in and try to get answers to a few questions. Their customer service will tell you a lot about how they will take of things in case they need to pay up in the near future!
Again, I can't stress enough that the term life premiums aren't all that is important. Do your homework - it's your life! Take care of it!
