Is Your Multi-Vitamin Killing You?

Is Your Multi-Vitamin Killing You?Take your vitamins - it's something your mom would say. And mom doesn't want to kill you, right? Well, there's something mom doesn't know. Those multi-vitamin bottles on the shelves don't always contain something that's good for your health. In fact, sometimes what's in them can hurt you.

Motivated By Money

If there's one thing multi-vitamins are good for, it's money - and a lot of it. Americans pay about seven-and-a-half billion dollars each year on vitamins. Unfortunately, many of those vitamins are doing more harm than good.

The Proof Ain't In The Pudding

A recent report published by the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that not only don't certain anti-oxidant supplements help you stay healthy, they actually increase your risk of death by about 16 percent. Another recent study indicated that vitamins can also put you at an increased risk of lung cancer, prostate cancer and a bevy of other nasty health issues.

Toss the Bottles?

So should you toss the multi-vitamin bottles? That depends. Naturopaths are going to hate me for saying this, but you really do need to talk to a doctor before taking any dietary supplement, and that includes vitamins. Some dietary supplements do provide health benefits and your doctor knows your medical history and will also know which ones are right for you.

Eat Right

No matter how healthy or good a vitamin is, it's not going to be able to give you well-rounded nutritional balance. You need to eat right. Bottom line. No short cuts (which we tend to look for) and no magic pills. A healthy diet full of fruits, veggies and whole grains is a must. In most cases, if you eat right and drink the right juices, a vitamin isn't at all necessary.

I do not believe this post for a second. Fruits, vegetables, meat, etc. no longer contain the nutrition they once did (due to depleted soil, additives, sprays, poisons, etc. Almost everyone needs high quality supplements. I haven't been sick in over 40 years. I give credit to my supplements bolstering my immune system. Ask your doctor? You must be kidding. The leading cause of death in the USA is the medical establishment. Google the statistics yourself. Doctors are only good for stitching up wounds and setting broken bones. They know nothing about preventative medicine or obtaining good health. The most that you will ever get is ten minutes of their time, a prescription for some dangerous drug (that you don't need) with tons of side effects, and a very large bill. Screw doctors… Eat an apple and save your money and your life.

Doctors are nothing more than store fronts for the pharmaceutical industry. We are used as guinea pigs for their drugs that have been given FDA approval after three rigorous trials. Too bad those trials usually only have about 500 to 1500 people in them. Not nearly enough to find out what adverse effects those drugs cause. And usually do cause. If you have something like cancer you might do good to see a doctor, but you would do better to just cut all sugar in any form from your diet. Tumors thrive when sugar is present and die off without it. I know Iknow, all food is converted to some form of sugar in order for our bodies to feed at the cellular level. Just eat food that takes long amounts of time to convert and stay away from the white foods like white bread, white sugar(this includes anything it is in), anything with high fructose corn syrup or just corn syrup, brown sugar, rice, potatoes(chips), pastas, pop tarts, any snack cakes, any kind of cake except beef cake for that matter, cereals except maybe whole oats, just about anything refined is going to turn to sugar real fast once eaten. Cut the sweets, kill the cancer.

Some years ago my long time friend was diagnosed with prostate cancer. One of the first things the doctor did was stop the vitamins, especially vitamin E. The doctors said some vitamins "feed" the cancer. I took many vitamins in my youth but stopped 20 years ago. I exercise 5 times a week and eat a fairly healthy diet. Luckily I have no bad health issues myself at 54 years old. If the doctors all know that some vitamins encourage cancers then why doesn't everybody know about it? It is all about the MONEY. My friend died 2 months ago and I miss him.
