Aldi The packages that grapes come in

I have been a long time customer at aldi location at perkins rd in memphis. I have seen customers with or without children eating to grapes out of these packages that are unsealed in the store. If profit is lost that is the reason. Everything is sealed to not be munched on in store. Lettuce is sealed to where you have to tear across top of bag. I spoke to cashier and security about this happening nothing happened. Can a better package be made to where grapes are not eaten before buying? My being has always been "you buy then you eat or call that stealing from the store". Thats why to contact you to continue to find whats right and not steal. Thank you!

Desired outcome: finding new packaging for grapes so there will be no eating them in store.

I am a frequent shopper at ALDI, today at around 1pm I was in line to check out when the person in front of me had a glass bottle of olive oil smash on the floor in front of my feet and glass cut me and my leg and went into my shoe. The olive oil ruined my shoes and the glass cut my foot and leg. I understand it was an accident but not one ALDI employee...

20 July 2023, I placed an order to be delivered from Aldi, including fresh produce. One item being a head of “fresh” cabbage, &, yes, it’s just a head of cabbage, but I’m retired, on a fixed income. Hate to have to throw away 1/2 of it. It was in horrible condition, It was heavily damaged all around, & when I asked the delivery person, I was told they were all like that. They should all have been returned.

Aldi Rude member of management, food hygiene and customer service.

To Customer services,

While I visited your Catford SE6 store recently and I witness stock that was on display and still in its outers in direct contact with shop floor. I informed the manager who I have raised other concerns before with him to inform him about my concerns that it is a possible trip and a food hygiene issue from possible vermin and chemical contamination. But the manager was very dismissal about it and said it is okay. I informed him that it is not and could be an offence under the Health and Safety as well as Environmental Health regulations. I have been an Health and Safety rep and informed him that it will be reported to the Lewisham Council Environmental department and also Aldi Head Office his answer was go ahead he had no interest about my complaint it was moved but the way his dealt with my concerns was very unprofessional. It was finally resolved and the stock taken away.

This the second time I have seen such breach of the regulations and hope that you will inform the staff about this matter. I will have no alternate but to report it to the appropriate authorities if I see another breach of the regulations and will take this further.

I have done a lot of shopping and been disabled and used the in-store taxi phone but was informed by the taxi firm (Forest Hill Cars) that I would have to wait over an hour before getting one and I have a lot of frozen foods which was starting to defrost due to the weather they said ask the store for an alternate taxi number as I spoke to the member of staff and explained the situation when the manager I spoke to earlier rudely interrupted our conversation for him to speak to the member of staff who said sorry after she had finished talking to him and was unable to assist me.

I am very disappointed with the behaviour and customer service of this store and the management and have used this store and other ones in my area for many years spending hundreds of pounds on each visit

If this not resolve I will have take my business to alternative supermarkets within the area.

Regards

Ernest Thomason

Desired outcome: I appreciate a response also an apology and possible retraining of management and staff about food hygiene and Health and Safety.

Cashier verbally attacked me for pushing items backwards on the conveyor belt, they were not mine. I wanted to put mine down. He did not let me. He accused me of putting my hands all over someone else`s items. What? He laughed as was sure he was clever and funny. Uh, I personally think because I am a older white woman, that I was an easy target for a young...

I was unable to get a truck number, I was busy fearing for my life. I hope these trucks have GPS on them so the two drivers will be disciplined and taken off the road. Aldi Unfair Treatment at Aldi's: Disappointing Customer Service Experience

I had a shopping experience at Aldi's yesterday, which is my go-to store for the past 30 years, located at 8 Mile Rd Ferndale. While waiting in a long line, I was getting closer to being waited on when a new cashier opened up a new register and took all the people behind me. I had to wait while she took care of 5 different customers. This was not fair and uncalled for. I was disappointed that the employee representing Aldi did not acknowledge what she did and apologize for the inconvenience caused. Maybe she did it on purpose, or maybe she did not, but as a decent human being, she could have handled the situation better.

I plan to repost this review tomorrow with pictures and proof of purchase to show that this incident did occur. As a loyal customer of Aldi, I expect better customer service and fairness from their employees. I hope that Aldi takes this feedback seriously and trains their employees to handle such situations better in the future. Overall, I still appreciate the quality and affordability of Aldi's products, but this incident left a bad taste in my mouth.

Aldi Disappointing Experience with Aldi: Plastic Found in Chicken Tenders and No Resolution in Sight

I'm really disappointed with Aldi. I had a bad experience with them and I don't think I'll ever shop there again. It all started when I bought some chicken tenders on December 23rd. When we opened them up, we found that they were full of white plastic. Some of us even cut our tongues while eating the chicken! We took pictures of the tenders and contacted Aldi to make a claim. But it's now March and our issue still hasn't been resolved. I haven't seen any recalls on the product either, which is really concerning.

Aldi told us to keep the product and they would send us a container so we could send the tenders back. But even after requesting the container four times, we never received it. I still have the tenders in my freezer and I don't know what to do with them. It's really frustrating that Aldi hasn't taken any action to fix this issue.

Overall, I think Aldi is the worst grocery store I've ever been to. Just because something looks good doesn't mean it's actually good. I would advise everyone to be careful when shopping at Aldi. I don't think they deserve even one star.

Aldi Disappointed with Aldi's Decline in Quality and Prioritization of Profit Over Quality

I have been a loyal customer of Aldi for many years now, ever since it first hit the market. However, I have noticed a decline in the quality of their products lately. It seems that the company is now prioritizing profit over quality, which is a shame.

In the past, I could always count on Aldi to provide me with quality foods. Their fruits and vegetables were always fresh and flavorful, and I could tell that they were sourced from reputable suppliers like Carrefour. However, this is no longer the case. The produce I buy from Aldi now is tasteless and often goes bad within a couple of days. I was so disappointed with the quality of the fruits and vegetables during my last visit that I didn't even bother buying any.

Furthermore, the tinned foods and cooked meats that Aldi used to offer have also declined in quality. They have been replaced with cheap, low-quality products that are barely edible. It's a far cry from the high-quality products that Aldi used to be known for.

Overall, I am disappointed with the direction that Aldi has taken. While it was once a great place to shop for quality products at affordable prices, it has now become just another supermarket that prioritizes profit over quality. As a result, I will be taking my business elsewhere. From now on, I will be shopping at Asda instead. It's a shame that Aldi has gone downhill, but I suppose it was only a matter of time before they got greedy like so many other companies.

Aldi Aldi's Closure After Hurricane Leaves Employee Without Pay and Frustrated

I recently had an experience with Aldi in Seffner, Florida that left me feeling frustrated. My wife is an employee at this location and Hurricane Ian recently hit our area, leaving us without power. Despite not losing power or receiving any damage from the storm, Aldi decided to close for two days following the hurricane. This meant that my wife, who was scheduled to work those two days, would not receive pay for them.

To make matters worse, many other stores in the area, such as Walmart, Dollar Stores, and convenience stores, were open the day after the hurricane. This caused chaos and long lines at these stores, while Aldi remained closed. My wife was left without pay and struggling to find food to eat, as we were unable to cook without power.

Additionally, with no power, my wife was unable to shower before her shift on Saturday when the store reopened. We were not scheduled to receive power until Monday, almost a week after the hurricane hit. This made it difficult for my wife to feel comfortable going to work and providing for our family.

While I understand that Aldi may have had their reasons for closing, it was frustrating to see other stores open and providing essential services to the community. It also felt unfair that my wife was left without pay for two days, despite the store not being damaged or losing power. Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I hope that Aldi will consider the impact their decisions have on their employees in the future.

Aldi Disappointing Experience with Aldi Online Grocery Delivery: Missing Items, Incorrect Substitutions, and No Identification on Bag

I had a not-so-great experience with Aldi today. I was really looking forward to getting some frozen veggies, but unfortunately, none of the three types I had ordered were available. To make matters worse, they substituted one of the veggies with something totally different - I had ordered green beans, but they gave me sweet peas instead! I was pretty disappointed with this, as I was really counting on those green beans.

But that wasn't even the worst part. When my order was dropped off at my apartment building, there was absolutely no identification on the bag. No name, no apartment number - nothing! I only found out that my order had arrived because I happened to ask the front desk person if I had received a delivery. Luckily, she knew me and knew that I had ordered from Aldi, so I was able to get my order. But honestly, this was completely unacceptable. How could they not put any identification on the bag? What if I hadn't asked about it and my order had just been sitting there for who knows how long?

Overall, I was really disappointed with the service I received from Aldi. The substitutions were bad, the lack of available products was frustrating, and the fact that my order wasn't properly identified was just plain inefficient. I was hoping to get some great bargains, but instead I just got a lot of aggravation and incorrect products. I don't think I'll be ordering from Aldi online again anytime soon.

Aldi Aldi's Lack of Recycling and Reusing Disappoints: A Review

Today, I went to Aldi with a bunch of bags that I had collected from various stores. I wanted to donate them to Aldi so that they could be reused and we could save the environment. However, the first worker I encountered seemed confused and didn't know what to do with the bags. I started putting them on the counter, but she told me that they needed to be in a box.

I went and got a box, and then another woman came up and told me that they just throw the bags away at the end of the day. I was shocked! I have lived in other parts of Missouri where they happily took the bags and reused them. I am always looking for a bag at this location, but there never seems to be one. It must be a bad area.

The workers pretended to be nice, but I could tell that they didn't really care about the bags. One woman even told me that Walmart recycles them. I was very disappointed in Aldi. They could have given a better excuse for not being able to reuse the bags.

I am trying to help others while also helping the environment. It's sad that Aldi doesn't seem to care about either of those things. I hope that they will start to take recycling and reusing seriously in the future.

Aldi Poor Customer Service Experience at Aldi Store in St Ives, Cambridgeshire

I recently visited my local Aldi store in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, and while browsing the products, a staff member approached me and said, "Sir, can you refrain from opening the products?" I explained that they had already been opened, but the employee gave me a smug and sarcastic look. This encounter left me feeling extremely annoyed and disappointed.

To make matters worse, this same employee then served me at the checkout and didn't say a single word to me, while being perfectly friendly to the customers before and after me. This level of customer service is simply not acceptable, and I'm sure it falls short of the standards that Aldi expects from its employees.

I have reached out to Aldi customer services about this issue, but unfortunately, I have not received a response. It's a shame because I have always enjoyed shopping at Aldi for its budget-friendly prices and quality products. However, encounters like this make me question whether it's worth it to continue supporting a business that employs surly and unprofessional staff.

That being said, the majority of Aldi employees are brilliant and provide excellent customer service. It's just a shame that a few bad apples can spoil the bunch. I hope that Aldi takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to ensure that all of its employees are providing the best possible service to customers.

Aldi Beware of Fragile Jars: A Review of Specially Selected Premium Raspberry Fruit Spread

Specially Selected Premium Raspberry Fruit Spread

I gotta say, I was pretty excited to try out this raspberry fruit spread from Aldi. I mean, who doesn't love a good spread for their toast or pancakes, am I right? But unfortunately, my experience with this product has been less than stellar.

The first time I used it, everything seemed fine. But the second time, disaster struck. As I was using a butter knife to scoop out some of the jam, the bottom of the glass jar just straight up broke off. Like, what the heck? I was so confused and honestly pretty annoyed. And to make matters worse, a small piece of glass landed on my daughter's plate. Thank goodness she noticed it before she ate it, but still. That's not something you want to deal with when you're just trying to enjoy a nice breakfast.

So yeah, needless to say, I won't be buying this product again. It's just not worth the risk of someone getting hurt. And honestly, I hope Aldi takes this complaint seriously. I mean, it's not like this is an isolated incident. If it's happened to me twice, who knows how many other people have had the same issue? It's just not safe.

On a side note, I do want to mention that I've had a glass jar from another brand break in my hand before, and it was not a fun experience. I ended up with a pretty nasty cut on my palm that went all the way down to the bone. So yeah, fragile jars are no joke.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience with this product in case anyone else was thinking about trying it out. Just be careful, folks. Glass jars can be dangerous.

Aldi Disappointing Customer Service and Product Quality from Aldi's Online Store

I recently purchased a small greenhouse from Aldi's website and was informed that it would arrive within 2-7 days. However, my order date was on April 30th, 2023 and it didn't arrive until May 9th, 2023. When I received the package, it was damaged and had been taped up again. Upon opening it, I realized that there were no fittings included to put the greenhouse together. I called the help line and spoke to a German lady who advised me to contact Aldi's customer service.

When I called customer service, I had a difficult time understanding the representative. After explaining the situation, he was not helpful at all and told me to contact the help line again. I explained that I had already spoken to them and he said that he couldn't do anything and that the item was out of stock. I requested to speak to a supervisor or manager and was told that someone would call me back within four to five hours. However, I am still waiting for that call.

It seems as though Aldi is only interested in selling items quickly and taking your money, without any regard for customer service. I received a greenhouse with missing pieces, which is like buying a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces. It was a complete waste of money.

My advice to anyone considering buying online from Aldi is to not buy from them. The experience I had was frustrating and disappointing.

Aldi Aldi Review: Cheap Deals, Poor Quality, and Unfriendly Staff

I've been shopping at Aldi for a good 6-7 years now since it came to our town. At first, I was really impressed with the store and went there weekly. However, my opinion has changed over time and now I only go there when I have to, which is usually because it's the closest store to my house. Here's why I think Aldi is a bit of a joke.

Firstly, the bread and fruit at Aldi don't last very long, maybe 1-2 days after you bring it home. I've noticed that they freeze everything, including fruit and bread. Next time you're at Aldi, feel the fruit and bread and you'll see how it's in the process of thawing. By the time you bring it home, it's almost like Cinderella turning into a pumpkin.

Secondly, the staff at Aldi are not very friendly. They seem to be more worried about their cashier times than actually helping customers. It's not a very welcoming environment.

On the other hand, Aldi does have some great tchotchkes, but again, they are not of the best quality. My advice is that if you need food for the same day, go to Aldi for a cheap deal. However, if you want to buy a non-food item, think first and see if you can find a better deal anywhere else.

If your food rots in a few days, don't hesitate to bring it back. Make sure you save your receipts! This company has made a killing off of me and everyone else by selling their old frozen produce and bread.

Overall, I'm done throwing my money out the door at Aldi and I think you all should be too. While they do have some good deals, the quality of their products and the unfriendly staff make it not worth it in the long run.

Aldi Aldis cat food several bags plus dog food.. Don't own dog only wanted treats. Cats won't eat their food but do like treats lol

Hi. I'm a customer of Aldis delivery. Have been happy with them this far. But on May 13 I ordered several cat treats which I believe were 1.76 each, believe I got 2&3 of each. I only have the cats which won't eat the dried nor wet cat food but do like the treats, so I only feed them name brand from Publix. But someone. Replaced that order with 2 big bags of dog food? Several big bags of cat food? I did not order any of these. I took a photo of receipt. And hopefully there's a copy of my shopping list. But being technically challenged, I've been trying to find it but haven't yet.

Desired outcome: I have photos but not sure how to put them on this format. I'm 70 and tech. Challenged lol

Aldi Cashier at Aldi Cutacre Ln, Bolton BL5 1FN, United Kingdom

Upon reaching the checkout, I was told by a cashier from another till that the lane I was heading towards was closed. However, moments later, an announcement over the sound system stated that the till had reopened. To add to my frustration, the cashier who served me placed her hand over the conveyor belt sensor, causing my groceries, including delicate items such as eggs and bread, to be squeezed together, resulting in squashed bread and stacked egg cartons.

About Aldi

Aldi is a global discount supermarket chain that was founded in Germany in 1913. The company has since expanded to over 10,000 stores in 20 countries, including the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Aldi is known for its no-frills approach to grocery shopping, offering customers high-quality products at low prices.

One of Aldi's key strategies is its focus on private label products. The company sources its products directly from manufacturers, cutting out the middleman and passing on the savings to customers. This allows Aldi to offer a wide range of products at prices that are often significantly lower than those of its competitors.

In addition to its private label products, Aldi also offers a selection of branded products. However, the company is highly selective about the brands it carries, choosing only those that meet its strict quality standards. This approach has helped Aldi build a reputation for offering high-quality products at affordable prices.

Another key aspect of Aldi's business model is its focus on efficiency. The company operates with a lean staffing model, with stores typically staffed by just a handful of employees. This allows Aldi to keep its overhead costs low, which in turn allows the company to offer lower prices to customers.

Aldi is also known for its unique shopping experience. The company's stores are designed to be simple and easy to navigate, with products displayed in their shipping boxes rather than on shelves. This approach helps to keep costs low, as it eliminates the need for expensive shelving and display units.

Overall, Aldi has built a successful business by focusing on quality, efficiency, and affordability. The company's no-frills approach to grocery shopping has resonated with customers around the world, making Aldi one of the most successful supermarket chains in the world.
