ADT Security Services False presentation

You lie when you sale the system saying you are going to secure the home but when you leave there are windows I can simply pry open to get in.

Not sure how you call that security

Now I am in bed with you guys for 3 miserable years

Around 0900 10/31 fire alarm goes off. No fire! 0912 I call ADT. Woman tells me to check batteries on the main smoke alarm. I do. I replace batteries (tested them later and they worked fine). ADT Security Services Third false alarm followed by poor service

The fire department arrived. They determined there is a problem with the alarm system and we were told to call the alarm company. After spending hours on the phone they schedule a virtual service appointment That appointment starts a question about the installation and what we have for equipment. I realize this individual doesn't have any information about our account and the call isn't solving anything. They finally schedule a service call for a week after the false alarm. What happens if there is a false alarm while we are away?

ADT Security Services System Issue

My 81 year old mother's front door security magnet has fallen off. We have had two people tell us to tape the magnet back up, which is clearly not an appropriate response. When I asked to get a tech out the person said there were two appointments on Wednesday the 11th I said we would take the 12-4 timeslot which they did not schedule and now the soonest available is Nov 1st. We were given three choices. 1. retape the magnet 2. bypass her front door so she could use her system or 3. wait until Nov 1st. She has been a customer for 33 years I would think you would find an appointment sooner to address this issue. AS I stated she is 81 years old, and this is a huge liability if someone breaks into her house.

What are you going to do for her to ensure your equipment is working?

This is some of the worst service I have ever had and the fact that you are one of the biggest security companies (monopoly) is alarming. I can be reached at [protected].

Desired outcome: Get a technician out ASAP to reattach her front door magnet and check the other equipment to ensure it is not faulty.

I am surprised they even talked about sending a tech out.

They don't seem to care if you are older or have a medical issue. They want you to do it yourself.

Climb on a ladder to reach ceiling device to remove and change batteries regardless of whether you really should be on a ladder in the first place.

When you ask for a visit by a tech they won't even quote a realistic price for the visit. They tell you wnat it costs to have one come BUT then they say depending on what it is it may cost more and more for every 15 minutes. So if a guy dawdles the cost goes way up. How can they tell you to do it yourself BUT at the same time not know what it would cost for a tech to do the same act?

ANY HONEST company could tell you the cost of such a task to along with their visit.

This is all intended for you not to have genuine service but pay their bills and leave you on your own to deal with problems regardless.

When you see their responses they say sorry BUT that is the end of it. Sorry does not resolve the issues nor does it prevent the same from recurring for others.

ADT Security Services ADT service

Had the system for 15 months, was took we could cancel anytime with no contract fees. I retired from the Army sold our house to move back home. They said there would be a $649 contract cancellation fee. So they sent me a diy system and said it would wave the fee but it restated my contract for another 3 years. It is laying in a storage because we are buying a house and have no use for the diy system. Customer service has been a [censored] show with no help. I was forced to take the diy system or be charged $649. They lie to you. I would not recommend ADT to my worse enemy, they are just another that is about corporate greed. And will screw you over every chance they get. Every the military families.

Desired outcome: For all of it to be canceled and I don’t have to pay a contract cancellation fee. Like I was told in the beginning

ADT Security Services Customer service

These are the most unprepared, rude people I ever ran across and need to be fired all of them. On september 23 @ 11:02 pm, this asinine person carlos hung up the phone on me when I told this person I didn't have the verbal password but I provided him with the contract information and matthew childres, so he hung up the phone on me.

Previously, a woman with a caribbean accent did the something and hung up the phone on me.

It all started with an old bill, that they claimed the contract was sold to collections then, the next day I got a call they said I owed a bill and I told them I will pay the bill, but I needed to see the invoice.

Look the service is trash and when my contract is up I am out

Desired outcome: I will like to review the bill so I know where my money is being paid to.There was a deduction out of my account in June for $116.68, July $116.68, August $108.57 & September $55.34 and I need to know.

ADT Security Services Sad, angry employee

I called about an odd problem with my security panel. The first person to whom I spoke was very pleasant but difficult to understand through a clearly foreign accent from southeast Asia (no surprise since that seems to be call center ground zero). We were able to figure out the correct department to help me, and she promptly transferred me. So far, so good. The second person, clearly in the U.S., was apparently very unhappy with his job. He repeatedly cut me off when I explained the odd problem. It was clearly not on his radar, and he seemed to think I was just stupid, or maybe ignorant. Finally, I got him to listen to me, and he agreed that I needed a tech. He disappeared into silence with no explanation for so long I thought we were cut off. I spoke up, and there he was, just not explaining anything. When the schedule was complete, he just hung up, abruptly, with no closure. When I looked at my email he apparently had trouble, as he had scheduled, cancelled, and rescheduled an appointment in the space of 3 minutes. I wish ADT trained and paid their staff better, so customers would not have to deal with such poor service. I am looking at their corporate site to send a snail mail directly to "community relations" or something similar.

ADT Security Services Cancellation fee

My wife and I have sold our house that has ADT installed. ADT installed the equipment in 2011. We sold the house and are moving into an Independent Living Location that has 24/7 security, so we will no longer need personal household security.

We are in our third 5 year contract renewal and are being charged $425 for terminating the current contract "early". Seems having 2 contracts fully used would waive this fee. Apparently not.

Also, today (Sept 12, 2023) I called to cancel and it will not cancel for 30 days!

Lots of fine print and little common sense.

Tried to complain to ADT but web site does not provide a link.?

Desired outcome: Like $425 to be waived as we have been an active paying on time customer of ADT for over 10 years.

ADT Security Services On 09/01/23 my adt was being installed. The tech broke my back car window out

I will be suing adt for all lost wages, time, car repair, stress, & neglect they have truly proven that customer satisfaction aint no where near first. This is gonna cost them a lot more then if they would have just simply made me whole for the accident that occurred. Instead of making me whole, they are transferring me all around the world and acting like i did something wrong :-( worst customer service i have ever received in all of my 60 years of living!

ADT Security Services billing

VERY upset customer. Every single month I am charged a $1 or $2 late fee. I am in auto pay. I have called numerous times to get this fixed. Each time they say they fixed the problem

Another issue, since when have I become my own tech to fix problems with ADT. I was on the phone for hours many times trying to fix the system It would have been easier for you to send a tech. But then to be Charged $100. I thought it was called customer service.

My front camera is broke because of a faulty hinge that you installed. I was led to 3 different departments and then waited for over 45 min on hold with still no resolution.

Your website is too much info and confusion to many who need a simple on /off switch for notifications.

Desired outcome: never see this again or charged again have a new doorbell sent .change your website

ADT Security Services Cancel my ADT plan

Two weeks ago system starting beeping and replaced batteries but that didn,t work. Called ADT 3 times for help in overcoming the constant beeping. Information I received didn,t work and person talked too lost patience with me.

Later that night called again and tho person did her best in solving problem by disabling system. And suggested I upgrade as this was 16 years old and no manual. Called next day on Sunday and order Commander and install date was established between 12 and 4 and their was a no show. Rescheduled for today 8/28 for 12 to 4 again no show. Tried cancel order and the to cancel account

Left on hold and no one got back to me,therefore,for your lousy service I want to cancel my account306665254. Please help
