I almost got ripped off by Carmax of Plano. They offered me 6500 for my 2005 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner SR5. Told me that they could only get that if they bought or sold it. Well I found on the Carmax site a 2005 strip model PreRunner for 12, 998. I complained to the corporate office in Virgina, and when I went back to the site the car had been removed? Well I kept a copy of the site knowing they may do that...

Terrible company
that purchased it from Carmax. The car was advertised as having 32000 miles on it. Carmax would not deliver the title and it turns out that they will not deliver it because the title says the car has 90000 miles. The gaugages have been obviously tampered with also. I cannot register the car with no title...

Fraudulent company
Found a car I wanted at CarMax. Did the research. Applied for financing over the phone to make sure it'd go through before I drove the hour to the suburbs to visit the car. Financing went through, or so the salesman said. Spent three hours at the dealer sealing the deal. Got the car I wanted, traded in my old one, all was great! Or so I thought...

Awful company
Each time I got it back from CARMAX they assured me it was fixed. This was due to a major defect in the driveshaft. This is something they claim to inspect and make sure it is right before they sell it. Bull shit! I did some research and found this car was previously in an accident...

Carmax, seems to be pulling a very shady deal. I made a payment to my account on The first of December. For a large amount 4200. 00 USD. the funds were withdrawn from my account on Dec 2nd. Don't trust them
The sales pitch sounds great! Carmax is unlike any other (they tell you) when you are looking to purchase a used car, because they provide a 30 day warranty "in writing". Sales personnel at all levels tell you that you have 30 days to visit the dealership's service department for "any" problem encountered under this warranty and it will be fixed...

They sold me a lemon
problems and been in the carmax shop more than 7 times for repairs. Electrical headlight/taillight issue, back window replace because of antenna, sun roof replace/the repair shop scratched up the roof when replacing and no one told me, washer tank replaced, leaks in the floor when it rains, multiple light indicators on the dash, other major repairs, and now the final draw, the car has been in the shop about 4 times for the same concern, the shift stick is popping and was told by the BMW repair shop that the transmission needed to be replaced...

Bad deals
I purchased a car from carmax after the 30 days you are stuck. They have tried over two years to fix and re-fix oil leaks and many other problems so I have decided to turn the junk into bank repo.
